I don't own anything. As per usual

A/N: A what if Amon had taken Korra's bending earlier in the first season.

"We may know of a way that can allow Korra to get her fire bending back." Mako stated.

Mako is a teenager that held a interesting eye color it being that ofna tangerine. He had black color hair as he had on a red color scarf, a gray color long sleeve shirt, a pair of black color pants, black gloves, and finally black and gray boots.

"You do!?" Tenzin shouted.

Tenzin is a man that is bald but had a blue arrow tattoo on his forehead. His facial consisted of a black color mustache and beard. His gray blue eyes were wide with surprise and hope. Tenzin wore a red color robe with a yellow long sleeve shirt that was tucked into dark red color pants with red color boots.

"He lost his fire bending and got it back. Maybe, he can help Korra recover some part of her bending." Bolin double down.

Bolin is a teen younger than Mako and he had pale green eyes with black color hair. He had the same outfit as Mako aside from the scarf. The sleeves on his shirt were rolled up to expose his more muscular build. Tenzin seemed to calm down.

"Of course, how could I have forgot, even my father lost his fire bending. Yet, he was able to get it back by understanding that fire bending is more than just about pure destruction. This can help with Korra's spiritual training as well." Tenzin stated.

"I'll let Jun know." Bolin said.

"I'll get Korra." Moka replied.

Maybe, maybe things will work out for them after all. He watch as the boys moved in haste to get their objectives accomplished.

Mako knocked on the door to Korra's room. He didn't get a response. The Teen knocked again and still nothing. Finally, he spoke.

"Korra, I know someone that can help you and he can at least make it to where you can get your fire bending back again. I'm not joking, his name is Jun. He runs a tea shop. If you'll come with me, he might be able to help with your condition." Mako stated.

A few seconds of silence only for the door to slowly open to reveal Korra. A girl with dark bags under her eyes. Her cyan color eyes were red from crying, her dark brown color hair was a mess despite being kept in a ponytail. As stands of her hair falling over her face. She had brown color skin unlike Mako, Bolin, and even Tenzin. Korra wore a sleeveless light blue t-shirt, a navy blue jacket that was tied to her waist. The navy blue jacket revealed to have brown color padding lining the inside of the jacket. She wore blue color pants with brown color boots. Korra had two white and light blue shoulder sleeves and two navy blue arm guards.

"You mean it?" Korra weakly asked.

"Yeah, Bolin is already making his way to the tea shop." Mako answered.

Bolin ran down a street before reaching a store with the sign reading, "Jasmine's Tea." He went up to the doors before pushing them open as he rushed into the establishment. Bolin saw the entire place filled to the brim as people were seated at every table.

"Let me guess, Korra." A voice said.

Bolin looked to his left to see Jun walking over to him. June had a empty tray in one hand. An indication he just got done serving his customers. Jun was a teenager, a year older than Bolin. He had amber gold eyes with black color hair. He wore a green tunic with brown color shorts and no shoes. His outfit was fairly simple and lackluster to say the least. However, it didn't bother Jun or the customers.

"How did you know?" Bolin asked.

"One, Korra and her condition was spread like a fire meeting dry timber. Secondly, your here with sweat, you hauled ass. Those were dead giveaways." Jun spoke.

"Can you help her?" Bolin asked.

"Depends, get the table ready upstairs and I'll check on her after I close up shop. You and Mako will be helping." Jun said.

"You got it, right away." Bolin stated.

Bolin immediately went about prepping the table that was upstairs. He started taking off several items on the dining table until it was left bare. Afterwards, he went downstairs to assist a busy Jun. As he was in charge of getting orders and taking them to the kitchen. Bolin found himself as the defacto person that took care of payments. He didn't mind the extra desk. Jun on the other hand was in the kitchen making tea or meals that customers wanted. A one man army considering how he usually was busy with so many people wanting to experience his culinary skills.

"Three special tea's with extra kick!" Bolin yelled.

"Got it!" Jun yelled.

Mako and Korra walked down the street to the tea shop. Korra noticing it being on the poorer side of town. Though she didn't address it, she was dealing with the fallout of her bending being taken away. A fear that had became reality. Her entire identity being slammed to the ground. The pair arrived at the doorsteps to the establishment. Mako open the door as he motion for Korra to walk inside. She did and as soon as she crossed the threshold, she could feel everyone stop what they were doing as all eyes landed on her.

"Is that the Avatar?"

"I mean should we really call her that? She got her bending taken away." Someone stated.

"What was her name again?"

"Korra!" Bolin shouted.

That didn't cease Jun's actions.

"Bolin! Get her upstairs! Tell Mako he's in charge of payments and security!" Jun yelled from within the kitchen.

"You got it boss!" Bolin yelled back.

Bolin jogged over to Korra and Mako. Mako closed the door behind him. Bolin address Mako first.

"You are in charge of payments and security. Here's the payments that need to be addressed."

Mako was given a dozen bills that were outstanding.

"Alright, I'll see you later Korra." Mako said.

He rushed off to start collecting payments before things could pile up to unmanageable levels. He didn't know how Jun dealt with it on a daily basis. Bolin faced Korra as she looked even worse than the last time he saw her.

"Come on, this way. When the shop is closed. He'll see you."

Bolin took Korra upstairs to a table.

"Just relax on the table until than." Bolin stated.

Korra sat down on the table as she chose to remain mute. Her eyes staring down at the wooden floor. Mako said that this person could help her but was that true? She couldn't do anything. No amount of meditation allowed her to see her past lives. She was no avatar. She was nothing now. Korra stayed lost in her thoughts until a harsh flick was delivered to her forehead. It snapped her head up a bit. As her glassy eyes became lifeless with no emotion. She looked up to see Jun standing before her. He nearly winced at seeing her condition.

"Jesus." He commented.

Jun looked over at Bolin and Mako.

"Out you two go, clean the entire store."

The pair nodded as they left to clean the store. Jun watched as the door closed behind the pair of teens.

"Lay on the table, I'm going to inspect your chi pathways. I need to see what exactly happened." Jun spoke.

Korra did as instructed without a fuss which was highly unlikely of her. Jun lit his hands on fire as yellow flames came to life on his hands. Korra watch as beautiful yellow flames hovered over her body. Despite them being close to her, they actually didn't produce much heat. Which confused her as to how he could do such a thing. Eventually, after traversing the length of her body a few times did he stop as his hands were relieved of the flames. She sat her elbows up to look at Jun. The male walking from her one side of the table to the other.

"Bad news, you can't bend right now."

Korra let her head hit the table. As she wanted to die.

"Okay, princess, you didn't hear me correctly. You can't bend right now. Meaning, good news you can get it back." Jun stated.

Korra shot up from the table as she landed on her feet. She looked at Jun who had his arms crossed. Korra went up to him with hope in her eyes.

"Can I really?" Korra asked.

"Obviously, this time you're starting from scratch because you can't use the same reasons as you did in order to bend." Jun scoffed.

"What does that mean?" Korra asked.

"It means if you want to bend fire, you must discover another source to fuel your fire. Right now, the way you bended fire came naturally, up till now. You never had a reason to fire bend. Think of it like Aang, he couldn't fire bend. Why? He believed it to be destructive, only until he found out that fire means life. That's when he was able to truly bend the element." Jun said.

"How do you know about that?" Korra asked.

She heard it from Tenzin but that wasn't actually handed down to everyone.

"Heard it from a nice old lady Avatar Aang meet and she ended up telling me." Jun spoke.

Korra didn't know if that was a lie or not and just accepted it for now.

"So what your saying is, in order for me to bend fire I just need to find another reason to fuel my fire?" Korra asked.

"Bingo, whatever Amon did he severed your chi paths. However, that doesn't mean you'll lose your bending forever. When the Chakra is blocked, your chi can't move that's when you can't bend. However, to increase one's Chakra and Chi, one must undergo spiritual enlightenment. That usually free's the blockage and I'm thinking it would force your closed off chi pathways to open. A reverse effect from Aamon's ability to take things away." Jun said.

Which meant Korra would need to be spiritual.

"The thing with that...I'm not spiritually in tuned."

"Neither was I, I turned out quite alright." Jun admitted.

He could have been some crazed psychopath in a straight jacket. Could have but he didn't become that. It's a win for him.

"How do I find my reason to fire bend again?" Korra asked.

"You wanna kick Amon to the ground?" Jun returned the question.

Korra thought about it, she did want to stop him. Ultimately, she didn't want someone to undergo the pain that she and others had experienced and if no one could stop him. She'd just get strong enough to stop him.

"I do."

Korra found a finger being poked into her shoulder. As Jun's eyes stared into her own as he a grin on his face.

"Atta girl, you already have it but I'm not gonna give you the answer until you come to it yourself. However, I'll give you all the tools to see that for yourself." Jun stated.

Which was what it sounded like, Jun was going to help her.

"You mean it!?" Korra asked.

"Someone's gotta toughen you up. However, don't get too excited. I can only get your fire bending back and the rest will be up to you." Jun stated.

Korra despite the news bounced back from her depressive state.

"Tenzin is gonna be so happy about the news." Korra stated.
