CHAPTER 10
Today was the day, Jonah was really feeling the nerves today, he just wanted everything to be perfect. With the help of Jade everything will be, but there is always the thought that she's going to say no.
Jonah lay in bed awake with a peaceful sleeping Cesca in his arms just thinking about today. He hadn't been awake long when Cesca began to stir.
"Morning beautiful"
Cesca didn't even get a chance to reply before she jumped out of bed and headed straight for the bathroom. Jonah quickly got out of bed and went after her.
Cesca spent the next 15 minutes sitting on the floor with her head over the toilet. Jonah sat next to her and did everything he possibly could to comfort her by rubbing her back and holding her hair.
Cesca had finally finished being sick and just lay against Jonah's chest and began to cry.
"It's okay baby it won't be like this for much longer I promise"
He just wrapped his arms around. All he wanted to do was to protect her and keep her safe.
"I'm sorry for being like this"
"Hey hey Ces you've got nothing to be sorry for, this is all part of being pregnant and if I could do any of it for you I really would"
They were still sitting in an embrace on the bathroom floor. After 10 minutes now calm Cesca sat up in Jonah's arms.
"I'm gonna ring Chris and tell him that I won't be down for breakfast"
"Yeah good idea"
"I'm best off staying away from food at the moment"
"Yeah that's probably a good idea"
"Can we just stay in bed for a bit longer … Or do you want to go down for breakfast?"
"No I'm not really bothered I can just get something while we're out … I would much rather stay in bed with you … I'll just pop to the bathroom while you ring Chris"
"Thanks Jonah"
Cesca reached for her phone on the bedside table and began to scroll through her contacts until she came across Chris's name. She clicked ring and it wasn't long before he answered.
"Hi Cesca is everything alright"
"Hi Chris, yeah everything's fine I'm just ringing to tell you I won't be down for breakfast"
"Oh right are you sure everything's okay"
"Yeah I'm sure … It's just eating food and the smell is something which just seems to make me sick at the moment so I try to stay away from it the best I can in the mornings"
"Ahh I see fair enough … Well I'll meet you downstairs at 9 and we'll get going for the day"
"Okay see you then"
Cesca hung up the phone just as Jonah was coming back from the bathroom. Jonah was only wearing his boxers.
"You know you make it very difficult for me to keep my hands off you"
"You're the lucky one that gets to touch" Jonah said winking at Cesca
Jonah got back into bed beside Cesca.
"Was everything alright on the phone to Chris?"
"Yeah he just said that we've got to meet everyone downstairs at 9"
"Ahh well we've still got plenty of time it's only half 7"
They spent another half an hour in bed together before they decided it was probably best that they got ready for the day.
It was 8:55am and Cesca and Jonah were making their way downstairs to meet everyone. Jonah went off to speak to Ronan and Vickie and Cesca went off to speak to Chris and the rest of the staff.
"Morning Cesca"
"Morning Chris"
"I was wondering whether you would like to come round with me and a couple of the staff today"
"Erm yeah okay then"
Cesca was caught off guard and didn't really know what to say but thought that saying no would seem a little suspicious.
"Once we all go off into our groups to go to the park we will meet each other at Casey's Corner at the bottom of Main Street USA"
"Okay see you in a bit"
Everyone then got into their groups and they all started to leave and head to the park. Cesca needed to speak to Jonah. They were always the last group to leave and the members of their group always walked slightly ahead which meant that Jonah and Cesca could talk.
"Jonah I've got a problem"
"What is it?" Jonah said sounding worried
"Chris has asked me to spend the day with him and some of the staff"
"What's the problem, beautiful?"
"Well it means that I won't be able to spend the day with you"
"That's okay you can do whatever you want to you don't have to spend all your time with me … You should go you'll enjoy yourself"
"But all I want to do is just spend it with you … I wish everything was just easier"
"I want to spend all my time with you too but it will do us good to spend a little time apart ... I know that this is difficult but one day everything will be a lot easier"
Cesca felt a little hurt by what Jonah had just said because he was making it seem like he didn't want to spend time with her today.
"I couldn't say no to Chris he just caught me really off guard and I didn't want him to be suspicious"
"Hey Ces don't worry about it you go with them and have fun… You don't need to worry about me I'll be fine"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes of course … Anyway I'm only a phone call away and I can always come and meet you during the day"
"Okay … I'll go as long as you're sure you'll be okay"
"Ces I'll be fine … I'll see you for tea at half 6"
"That is very true … Eeeh that reminds me I need to let the rest of the group know our plans for food later"
Cesca called to the rest of the group who all stopped until Cesca and Jonah had caught up to them.
"Just to let you know, for food tonight we are going to Restaurant de Agrahbar… So if we all meet outside of there at half 6"
They all chorused "Okay Miss" Before they all started walking again.
