CHAPTER 12
Jonah and Cesca were now back in their room and everyone had gone off to do their own thing.
"Jonah, do you fancy just staying in tonight?"
"No not really I've got something planned"
"Aww Jonah you know I hate surprises" She said laughing
"I promise you're gonna like this one"
"Okay I'll just go and get changed"
This gave Jonah some time to go over what he was going to say to Cesca. He just wanted everything to be really special for her.
Now 10 to 11 Cesca and Jonah were ready to leave.
Jonah quickly text Jade while Cesca was getting her coat, to let her know that they were on their way.
They were approaching the park when Cesca stopped in her tracks.
"Where are we going we can't go into the park it's shut"
"We can don't worry it's all been organised"
Cesca was really confused. Why were they going into the park at this time?
They were met at the entrance of the park by the lovely park manager who Cesca knew quite well so when he heard what the occasion was he instantly said yes for them to use the park.
"Bonjour Cesca"
"Bonjour Jean - Claude Il a été si longtemps que nous l'avons vu l'autre"
Jonah didn't have a clue what was being said. Jonah hadn't done French since his GCSEs. Even though it was only a couple of years ago he couldn't remember. This trip was making him seriously consider picking up French again.
Cesca began to explain who Jonah was but little did Cesca know Jean - Claude knew all about Jonah and had met him during the day. Jonah and Jean - Claude just pretended like they hadn't met each other before so that Cesca didn't suspect anything.
Their conversation finished when Jean - Claude said "Enjoy your night"
The Castle and everything was lit up beautifully.
Cesca and Jonah began to make their way down Main Street USA hand in hand and You'll be in My Heart started to play. A photographer appeared and started to take photos.
"Jonah what is going on and why is there a man taking photos of us"
"You'll find out soon enough"
Once they had made it to the end of the street they stood on the island in the middle so they weren't standing on the road and A Whole New World started to play.
Cesca was so confused, even more so when all of the characters and princesses started to appear on their floats.
The parade went on for about 20 minutes. During this time I See The Light and Magic Everywhere were other songs which were also played.
It was now time for the big moment Jonah gently took Cesca's hand and took her over to the bridge in front of the castle. In the meantime all of the characters were getting into place.
Jonah gets down on one knee. Cesca is so shocked and tears begin to form in her eyes. She couldn't believe this was about to happen in her favourite place.
"The first time I held you in my arms on the first day of term I knew I had feelings for you. All I wanted to do was to protect you and keep you safe. I know our time together has not been easy and I wish it didn't have to be this way. I know our situation isn't exactly ideal, but when you told me you were pregnant you made me the happiest man alive and I realised I couldn't live without you. I know we haven't been together very long but, Cesca Montoya you are beautiful and I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you"
Jonah then pointed to all of the characters who were each holding up a letter which spelt out 'Will You Marry Me'
"Ces will you marry me?"
Cesca bent down and kissed Jonah bringing him up from the floor. Once Jonah stood up he pulled away.
"Is that a yes then?"
Cesca nodded her head with a huge smile on her face.
"Yes"
Jonah kissed Cesca before he carefully picked her up and spun her around.
Jade then walked towards them.
"Jade?"
Jade never replied to Cesca; she just handed Jonah the heart shaped pillow which the ring was placed on.
Jonah picked up the ring, placing the pillow on the floor. He then placed the ring on Cesca's finger.
"I love you Ces"
"I love you so much"
They began to passionately kiss.
"This is why I told you to spend the day with Chris because I needed to go and meet Jade to sort this all out and make sure that everything was perfect"
"I just thought you wanted to get rid of me"
"Don't be silly I would never do that"
The photographer then took some photos so they could remember the day.
During this time Just Like We Dreamed It played.
"Aww I love this song … It brings back so many memories … This was the parade song when I did it"
"That is why I wanted this song played for you"
"Jonah, you are so thoughtful … You have thought of everything possible to make this so special"
"I would go to the ends of the earth for you Ces" he said kissing her forehead.
Jade and all of Cesca's old friends came over and congratulated them.
All of this helped Cesca to forget about how complicated their situation was.
"I wish everything could be like this all of the time"
"I do to baby and it will be one day"
Jonah and Cesca had stayed in the park till half 12 before they had decided to go back to the hotel and do a bit more celebrating of their own.
They said goodbye to everyone before making their way back up Main Street USA where Jonah surprised Cesca with some beautiful flowers and some lovely chocolates.
"I'm still in shock … I can't believe that just happened … It was everything I imagined it would be"
"You have made me the luckiest man in the world"
Once they were back in their room it wasn't long before they were in bed together. No pyjamas were needed; they just needed their bodies to be close.
"I still can't believe we're engaged" Jonah said excitedly
"I have to say, you were right it was a good surprise"
"See I told you so" Jonah said giggling
"I love you so much Mr Kirby"
"I love you too … You're going to be Mrs Kirby soon and I can't wait"
"Me neither"
"Shall we try and get out of going on this trip into Paris tomorrow so we can spend the day together without any worry?"
"I like the sound of that but how is that going to be possible?"
"Why don't you tell Chris that you're not feeling great and that you've had no sleep because you've been up all night … He's bound to believe that now that he knows"
"Yeah that's true but then how are you going to get out of going on the trip"
"Well if you tell Chris first then I will text Ronan ask him to speak to Mr Mead and tell him that I've been throwing up all night and that I think I have a bug or something"
"Yeah okay then but then what happens after?"
"Well once they've left then we have the rest of the day to ourselves and as long as we are back before they get back which is not supposed to be till 12:00 then we're good … Anyway Chris will probably ring you during the day anyway to check how you are, you know what he's like"
"I'm liking the sound of spending the day with you without anyone we know around"
"So shall we roll out our plan of action in the morning?"
"Yeah I think it's a good idea I just hope it works"
"I'm sure it will"
They kissed each other one last time before they cuddled up and went to sleep.
