The day after Christmas the couple had raided many stores buying all the Christmas clearance they could find. Storing it all in Kim's empty space for the next year. Kim had already started designing plans for her apartment and the hallway. They really wanted to go all out on Christmas and make it be the holidays Kim never had. The couple had also spent New Year's Eve at Molly's with Adams team and friends celebrating the new year. Kim had been prepping overtime for the up coming trial against her parents. She spent many a night stressing over seeing her parents again and what the judge was going to say. Kim had used Adam as her stress release almost everyday. Not that he minded, he enjoyed the way she was using his body to get her release. It was oddly the only way she could sleep with the trial coming up.

And today was that day. Today she faces off against her parents. She was so scared and upset about this day. She was starting to cry but didn't want to wake Adam so she started the shower and sobbed inside the shower. Adam heard it right away. He got up and headed to the shower. He found her on the bottom crying hysterically. He didn't think twice about joining her. "Darling! It's okay. Let it all out. I will be right there with you. Come here." Adam sat next to her and pulled her into his lap as she sobbed on to his chest. Adams heart broke for her. When her sobs subsided he moved her slightly to look into her eyes. "Let's get you showered. And let me shower you. This day is all about pampering you." Adam kissed her deeply before helping her stand.

Adam stood behind her seeing all the tension in her shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her tight. "Relax, let me take care of you." Adam whispered before turning her around. He started to wash her hair, slowly massaging her scalp. As he washed out the shampoo he kissed her softly. The conditioner was applied before he washed every inch of her body. Taking special care of her private areas. He heard her moaning, her nails digging into his shoulders. "Adam you know what I need to relax, what I want to relax?" Kim moaned out running her hand down to grab his shaft. "Darling. You know I will do whatever you want. But I need to make sure you are in the right frame of mind. I know it's a great stress release and I enjoy it but you do have to face your feelings." Adam removed her hand holding them tight as he spoke. "I know but you washing me has been a turn on. How about I ride you later if you have sex with me in the shower now?" Kim asked before biting his lower lip tugging on it. "You know I can't resist you tugging on my lip." Adam growled picking her up and pushing her up against the tile wall.

"It's fine to be rough. We both need it!" Kim wrapped her legs around him tighter digger her heels into his butt. "God damn girl!" Adam growled as he slammed inside her. Kim moaned out as her shoulders hit the tile harder. Adam kissed her passionately as he thrusted hard and fast inside her. Kim dug her nails into his shoulder drawing small amounts of blood. Adam hissed our in pain breaking the kiss. "God I love you darling!" Adam slammed even harder now needing his own release now. "I love you too! My perfect match, my only one!" Kim moaned gasping as he picked up speed. "Darling you, only you, forever! I want it all, with only you!" Adam groaned with each thrust. He felt Kim bite down on shoulder, her body clamping around him. He picked her nipple causing her body to spasm around him as her orgasm took over. Adam allowed himself to finally get his release. Exploding inside her, groaning loudly. Thrilled the apartment is sound proof.

"God thank you baby! I feel so much better now!" Kim leaned into kiss him slowly enjoying the slower pace. Adam was still stroking her softly inside. It felt amazing, she loved it and love him. "You never have to thank me. I love you so much." Adam slowly stopped moving and then slid out of her and placed her down. "Tomorrow can we go back to the passion? I love having sex with you but it feel mechanical at this point. I love you and I'm happy to help you but I really want the fire and passion again." Adam confused looking almost embarrassed. "Oh baby I'm so sorry I didn't even realize but you absolutely right. I promise you when this is all over the fire will be back for sure. But now that you mention it I do miss the double O's." Kim winked running her finger tips over his body. Giving him some fire smoldering between them. "For you I will try my hardest to give you a triple." Adam winked back.

"Let's finish getting showered. We need to get going soon." Kim stated taking a deep breath before stepping under the shower again washing the conditioner out. They finished the shower quickly at this point running out of time. As Adam cooked a quick breakfast Kim dried her hair. He ate his breakfast while she finished up her hair and then they switched positions. Kim forced herself to eat her breakfast that Adam so thoughtful made for her. When Kim returned to the bedroom she saw Adam dressed in a suit working on fixing his tie. She stopped and stared. She knew he was a beautiful man before this but like this was leaving her speechless. "Darling you are staring!" Adam laughing knowing he caught her checking him out. "Well how could I not! You look crazy handsome! I can't wait to take that off you." Kim wink before heading into her closet.

She got dressed quick and did some simple make up. The lawyer kind of gave her some idea of how to dress. Strong, sophisticated, simple, not sexy. Soft hair and make up. When she returned fully dressed she looked fierce. He wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley at night. "Are you ready to go?" Adam asked her as she placed her shoes on. "Not really but I don't have a choice. So let's go." Kim sighed heavily. They left the house in silence, holding hands but no words exchanged. Adam could tell Kim was thinking something specific but he had no idea what. "What's spinning around in your mind right now?" Adam asked. "It's strange. Today's my sisters birthday, Nicole. She benefited from my hard work growing up. Last time we spoke he told me I was being selfish for not paying for their life style anymore. And forcing my parents to pay me back. I didn't even remember that till today." Kim shrugged as they sat in the car.

They arrived at the courthouse to see Adams team waiting outside dressed in suits and shades. Kim was surprised to say the least. They walked closer to be surrounded by the team. "Your parents are here and they called the paps. No one will get close to you. We promise you that. They can't get in the courthouse but till then you will e surrounded." Voight stated as they walked her inside. As they crossed the threshold inside the screams and questions died down. No one actually saw her her because of the protection detail. They made it inside the hallway where her courtroom was located. Her lawyer was waiting for them outside an office. "Miss Burgess good to see you this morning. Can we step inside the office to go over your testimony before hand?" Peter Stone Kim's lawyer asked. "Yes of course. Good morning by the way. It was insane outside. Thanks to these guys I made it safe." They headed into the office for privacy.

Adam and his team were lined up outside the door preventing anyone from getting inside the room. "How is she doing today?" Erin asked as they waited. "Not great. I think a breakdown is coming. It's been 10 years since she saw them." Adams eyes were throwing daggers. The team followed his eyes to see her parents watching them. Adam felt his jacket being held onto and a hand on his shoulder keeping him in place. But he stayed strong in place protecting his girl. Their lawyer noticed the stare down and moved them into the court room to prevent this from getting worse. Adam relaxed slowly once they were behind closed door. "It's going to get hairy in there. You need to stay calm. I know it's hard but you have to control your emotions." Al stated trying to keep Adam calm.

When Kim and Peter exited the room Kim immediately grabbed Adams hand. She needed that contact, he knew she really needed to feel his heart beat. He pulled her tight into a hug and kissed her head. "You got this darling! You will rock this for sure! You are amazing!" Adam whispered, he felt her nod her head. "Kim Im sorry but we have to go in now." Peter stated quietly. "Okay let's go. Head up. Face on. It's just like a show Kim. You got this!" Kim spoke to herself. She took a few deep breaths before standing tall and getting her game face on. They walked into the room with her head held high. "Baby! Kimberly! My baby!" Kim's mother yelled out. Kim tried to ignore it. "Ma'am do not talk to my client!" Peter called back as he ushered Kim to her seat.

Adam hand was on her shoulder as soon as she sat down. "Remember you got this! I've got you! Nothing is going to happen." Adam whispered. He saw her nod but no words uttered as the judge entered the room. Kim did as she was told, standing when needed and answering when needed but she was on auto pilot. She didn't hear anything really till she heard her father being called to the stand. "State your name for the record." The judge ordered. "John Burgess." He sat staring at Kim. It unnerved her. "Can you tell us about when Kimberly started to dance?" Their lawyer Mr Wilson asked. "I don't really know. My wife handled all that. She just told me that Kimberly wanted to a dancer and I made that happen. I paid for the classes and my wife handled the rest." John replied. "What were your thoughts about sending your child to Europe at age 10?" Wilson asked. "Well I was told she wanted to go and that she would make enough money to support the family. So I was all for it." John replied.

Kim was shaking her head listening to this. Writing notes to her lawyer. "What has happened since Kimberly cut you off?" Wilson asked. Kim was fuming. "Well I had to go back to work. We had to sell our home. We had to sell our cars. We couldn't continue to members of the country club or the boating club. We live in a small apartment, we drive used cars. We can't afford to continue these payments to Kimberly. We didn't do anything wrong. We should have never had to pay them in the first place!" John yelled out all work up. Kim looked back at Adam scared for his reaction. She saw multiple people holding him down.

Her lawyer was up next. "Mr Burgess. Can you explain how many days a week Kimberly took dance classes?" Peter asked. "Um I think it was 4 times a week." John answered. "Correct. Did you know that she was enrolled in 4 different schools under 4 different names?" Peter asked. "Um no I didn't know that." John answered. "But you said you paid for the classes. Don't worry we can move on. Why did you think it was okay to ship your daughter off to Europe to work?" Peter asked pushing for answers. "We needed the money. I was t getting ahead at work and my boss was a jerk. This provided us the money we needed to live and she got to dance. How is that wrong?" John was getting angry. "Did you know that your daughter had no money when she was working 8 shows a week?" Peter asked watching John shake his head no. "No need to verbally answer your face answers that. In the first 5 years she was there you only visited her once correct?" Peter asked. John just nodded. "Great. I have no more questions for you." Peter answered as he shook his head walking back towards Kim.

Kim's mother was next to take the stand. Carol Burgess was smiling looking at her daughter the entire time. "Mrs Burgess can you tell us why you put your daughter in so many classes?" Wilson asked. "She wanted it. She wanted to be a professional. Changing her name was how I made that happen. She's successful because of me." Caroled replied. "Why did you want your daughter to work Europe?" Wilson asked. "Again she wanted to be a star. I made that happen for her. I had no idea why she has done this to us. She is who she is because of me." Carol yelled. "How has the lack of money effected you?" Wilson asked. "I had to sell everything. I have nothing left. Only basics, look at her. She's in designer clothes, in magazines, she has a penthouse. She should be supporting us since we gave so much." Carol answered.

Kim lawyer smirked as he walked towards Carol. "Mrs Burgess so we have heard all the things you got by my client working hard as a child. Did you ever think about how hard things were for her while she was away?" Peter asked. "No. She was living her dream." Carol replied. "Her dream, okay. Did you send money to your daughter while she was overseas working?" Peter asked. "No they fed her, put a roof over her head. And we sent her clothes and shoes." Carol replied her voice full of anger. "So you didn't know that Kim wasn't eating because she had no money to buy food? That she worked odd jobs in kitchens for extra money and food. All while working 8 shows a week?" Peter asked. "No I had no idea." Carol replied. "That's a lie and you know that. I have the emails that show her asking for money for food. Let's move on. You want Kim to continue to pay for your lifestyle. Why don't you work?" Peter answered her. "I'm a housewife. That's my job. I do work at the house." Carol yelled back. "Why not get a job outside the home to help pay for the lifestyle you so desperately want?" Peter asked. "Why should i? I made Kimberly who she is. She should pay me!" Carol yelled. "I'm done. I have no more questions for her." Peter walked back towards Kim smiling. Kim was still nervous as hell.

Kim was next to take the stand. She was strong in appearance but scared as hell on the inside. "Ms Burgess. Can you tell me your side of the story. And please give me lots of details." Peter asked her knowing her story was all he needed to ask. "Of course. It's true when I was 5 I wanted to dance. All my friends wanted to dance so I thought it would be fun. By 7 I was in my first pointe shoes and that's when I started being put into 4 different schools. Trying to remember which name went with which school. I wasn't allowed to play sports, I wasn't allowed to have friends. When I wasn't in class I had to be practicing at home. At 10 I had no idea that I was working in Europe. I was told I was going to dance. I was never told it was a job or that I was getting paid. I had no money while I was there. I ate before the performances but the rest of the day I had no food. The inns we stayed in had taverns in the bottom and the older people running them would let me do odd jobs for money and food. The older grandmother figures taught me how to cook and bake in my free time. We moved every couple of weeks. I lived out of a suitcase. I asked for clothes and shoes all the time from my parents since I was growing and shoes wear out. I always got step down stuff. Like we couldn't afford name brand things. My parents only came once each to visit and I never really saw them during those trips. They were shopping, being tourists. God my education was a joke. The tutor we had barely taught us anything. We all cheated on the tests, the people knew and didn't care." Kim took a moment to compose herself.

"I don't have a proper education to fall back on if this didn't work out. I was 14 when I went home for my first visit since I left the US. They actually invited me home for the holidays. They picked me up in a BMW, it was super fancy. They drove me home to this super big house I had never seen before. It looked liked an mansion. They also had a Mercedes in the driveway. The house had marble everywhere. Fancy looking art, statues, busts, it was like walking into a museum. It didn't feel like home. When I finally went back to Europe that was actually my home at that point I was talking about everything with a couple of girls and they suggested a call a lawyer. I was so confused as to why but I did. He eventually told me that my parents were receiving my paychecks. I learned that I was actually earning almost 150,000 a year before taxes. And I was getting nothing. He informed me that neither of my parents were working and they purchased the cars and the house with my money." Kim took several deep breaths before continuing again.

"He suggested that I take my life back. Fight for my money and divorce my parents. He told me that this happens a lot with child stars. I didn't understand that. I'm just Kim, I'm not famous. All that money was so I could live comfortably while away from home. To compensate means my family for the sacrifice, to cover travel expenses so they could come visit and that I could visit home. None of that happened. I went through all of this 10 years ago. I took back my life 10 years ago but I will ever be made whole. It would take 50 more years to be made whole with my money." Kim looked at Adam for courage. "My parents may have gotten me into dance but it was my talent that made all this happen. Yes I have designer clothes, yes I'm in fashion magazines, yes I'm in Ballet magazines, yes I have a penthouse that I had built from the ground up. But that was all on me! I did this on my own. My strength, my talent, not yours. And by the way I drive a used car too and I'm not embarrassed by it. It's just a car. Also I have already created my phase 2, my plan B for when my career is over. I don't plan on stopping, unlike you." Kim stopped talking taking some calming breaths.

"Your honor can we have a short recess?" Peter asked. "Yes let's take a short break. Be back in 30 minutes." The judge dismissed them. Kim got down and went right into Adams arms. "Let gets out of this room for a few. Come on." The team formed a barrier around them and escorted them out of the room. They got into a conference room where they could have some privacy. "Hey your doing great darling! I'm so proud of you." Adam kissed her softly. "They are making me sound like a monster. Like I'm ungrateful but it's really me who made this life happen. I just want them out of my life again. An you just hold me?" Kim looked like she was about to lose it so Adam held her tight and rubbed her back. Sharing words of love and encouragement. Kissing her head softly showing support.

When she returned to the stand she was composed again. "Thank you for that break your honor. We are ready to continue. Okay Ms Burgess can you explain your life when you got back to the states?" Peter asked. "Yes of course. After I was emancipated I found out I was locked into another 5 year contact. I was 18 when I started fighting to come back to the states. I applied to every Ballet production company all over the states. Chicago had a job but it was 18 months out and I had 15 months left on my contract. They offered me the job as well as a 3 month job doing odd jobs everywhere around the opera house. Sometimes it was getting coffee, sometimes it was painting sets but I didn't care. It was a job and I knew it was only 3 months. I lived in this horrible ghetto apartment for 750 a month all included. People were shot there, overdoses everyday, domestic violence all the time but it was a bed to sleep in. During that same time I was building out my penthouse. I didn't have enough money to fix the whole thing so it was made into two units with a hallway in between them. Once the penthouse was somewhat livable I moved in to get out if the ghetto. I learned how to drive and bought my used Jeep. It's not 11 years old but it still works." Kim explained looking back to Adam.

"My life on stage, my charity work is what has gotten me in the magazines. I did this for me and for those less fortunate. I don't know what else to say. I created this life for myself with very little help from them. Why should they get away with stealing from me? They essentially sold me as a child! Your honor if you want to take pity on them fine but nothing they can say or do will change the fact they chose my money over me for 5 years of my young life. I'm so luckily for the life I have and how far I have come but it has nothing to do with them. I just want to be free from them again. The 10 years without have been magical. I'm truly happy in all aspects of my life. All I ask is that you are fair and prevent further contact from them. I want my happy life back with my love, my only one." Kim finished talking. She got it out, she made it through without cracking.

Adam was beaming with pride watching his girl testify in court. He's damn proud of her. "Mr Wilson, do you have any questions for Ms Burgess?" The judge asked. "Yes your honor I do. Ms Burgess are you saying that you are ungrateful for your parents help?" Wilson asked. "No I never said that. But paying for classes is one thing but it means nothing without talent." Kim replied harshly. "You never mentioned your second 5 years in Europe. What were they like for you?" Wilson asked smugly. "I rebelled a lot trying to enjoy all the new found freedom that I had. I drank a lot, smoke weed, partied in clubs all night. It was all legal over there. I got a piercing, shopped. But I got myself together. I'm actually doing great now." Kim answered. "Does your cop of a boyfriend know about your underage drinking and doing drug?" Wilson asked smugly again. "Yes he knows. Again it's legal over seas. And he doesn't judge me for that time in my life. He felt sorry for me that I lived that life in Europe all together." Kim answered while staring into Adams eyes. "Mr Wilson you're done. Nothing productive is happening here." The judge was over this line of questioning. "You May step down ma'am." The judge allows Kim to move from the stand.

"I'm calling a recess while I look over the financial information. You will be called when I've made my ruling." The judge stated as he dismissed them all. Kim moved towards Adam and was surrounded again not letting her parents close. They headed to a conference room where they all sat around. Someone ordered food for all of them. Kim had a hard time eating but did because she knew Adam was worried about her. "Can I just say we are all proud of you for how far you have come on your own. None of us knew how bad things had been for you. You really are amazing." Kevin offered as they sat around the table. Kim looked around to see the approval on their faces. "Thank you. I do appreciate that. I know how people see me but I worked hard for what I have so I don't apologize for that which makes people think I'm a bitch. It's just a defense mechanism for my life." Kim shrugged.

They all sat around for a bit longer till they got the call they had been waiting for. Kim looked like she was going to vomit. "We got you! Let's do this!" Adam whispered pulling her into his chest. They all walked together back into the courtroom and Kim took her seat next to Peter. They watched and waited for the judge to walk back in. He walked back into the room and Kim looked back to see Adam smiling giving her support and comfort. "Ms Burgess could you stand?" Kim stood scared to death. "I would like to commend you on your charity work and the life you have created for yourself. You should be very proud of yourself. I know this can't be easy for you having to face this all over again. I saw the strength you portrayed on the stand but I also saw the fear. You have nothing to fear. You can seat again." Kim was confused and looked to Peter who seemed to it would be okay.

"Mr and Mrs Burgess please stand." The judge waited. "As you can imagine from what I just said you are not off the hook. In fact I'm increasing the amount you owe your daughter to 1250 a month. Be adults! Get jobs, multiple jobs if you have to. You are lucky you are not in jail for grand theft, it's a felony. If I could I would put you both in jail today but it didn't happen in this state so I can't. Your daughter should have never been the bread winner, she was the child, you are the adults act like it. First payment starts this month. Oh and what you are receiving right now is a restraining order. You can not contact or come near your daughter or you will be arrested. Are we clear? Great! Case dismissed!" The judge got up to leave. Kim screamed in joy! Jumping into Adams arms. "Oh my god baby! We did it! I can't believe it!" Kim cried out in joy. "You did this darling! Im so incredibly proud of you! I love you so much! Only you!" Adam kissed her hard. "I love you too baby, my only one! Let's go home!" Kim replied as they headed for the door surrounded by his team once more.
