Kim had awoken earlier than Adam excited for the big day ahead. She was excited to try more things she had never done. She loved that she was living a life that allowed for her to try new things, have great experiences and yet be supported. Kim slowly got up from the bed needing to use the bathroom. She moved quickly and quietly. After she finished using the bathroom she headed to the kitchen to take her meds. It was the last day of her steroids which she was thankful for. They made her edgy and shaky a bit which she didn't like but she was able to breathe better. And was all that mattered. She moved back to bed climbing in next to Adam again seeing he was starting to wake up. "Where did you go?" He whispered confused finding her side of the bed empty. "Well I had to use the bathroom and take my meds. Kind of important to get up and do those things." She giggled a bit kissing his lips.
"Agree completely. How are you feeling?" He moved to hold her against him. "I'm doing much better. We shall see once the steroids work their way out of my system if it's fixed or not. So I really hope this worked." She rested her head on his chest as the spoke. "Is there a next step if this doesn't work?" Adam asked unsure since he wasn't at the appointment. "Um kind of. I would need to get an ENT and probably an allergist. CT scan of the nasal passages to check for blockages. Changing meds. It's a bit of a crazy road but it will be fine. It was just suggested that since I had Covid last year that my immune system isn't as strong. So it's a waiting game a bit." Kim explained as her fingers drew patterns on his chest. "Well that's completely possible though this is the first time you got sick so I'm not sure about that but possible." He hugged her a bit feeling like she needed it in that moment.
"Are the plans all set for our trip?" Adam changed the topic knowing the needed to move on. "Yes. I have us checking in on Thursday night after we land. And I have our flights back on Monday set up. I have all our hotels set up so yeah. I think we get in early enough on Thursday like 6:15pm that we could do something after the flight if you wanted to." She shrugged. "Like what?" He looked at her smirking. "Well we could go to the Amusement park. Or go to a minor league baseball game. It's the triple A for the Phillies." Kim suggested as she moved to look at him better. "The game sounds relaxing. How much are the tickets?" He asked wondering if it was crazy or not. "I think they start at 12 and go to 30. Even behind the dugout in the normal seats are like 20. Inexpensive and parking is only 5." Kim smiled. "Yes let's to that! Pull up the site and I will pay for the tickets and everything once we get there." He kissed her head handing her his phone.
"Sounds great. Should be a fun time for sure." Kim pulled up the site and clicked on the ticket options. She put two in the cart and showed him where the seats were." She wanted his approval before she had him pay for it. "Those are great seats. And great prices. I think this will be fun for both of us. One question though, what exactly is an Iron Pig?" He asked confused by the mascot. "I have no clue! It looks like a goat to me but lucky for you there is bacon and pork products everywhere in the park." She knew he missed eating real bacon. "Sounds good to me!" He laughed knowing she couldn't eat it and she felt bad about it. "Alright it's all paid for including parking so should we get up and start our day?" He asked still holding her close. "I mean we probably should. We have the farmers market to go to and then the carnival later. And we want to get there while they have the best selection." Kim kissed his chest as she started to get up. "Sounds good my love!" He followed behind her watching her go.
"You know I love staring at your sexy ass!" He pulled her hips back against his. "Well I love staring at yours too!" She reached behind to squeeze his butt. "You ready to shower?" He whispered next to her ear. "Sounds like a very good plan." The couple got into the shower taking time to wash the other lovingly. Adam washed her core feeling her shudder. Adam smirked pulling her closer so his fingers could play with her core. Her back pressed against his chest as he worked to massage her breast as well. He knew she needed a quickie and he loved giving it to her. "Damn baby!" Kim moaned loving how he was working her body. "Enjoy the pleasure." He whispered loving how her body was reacting to him. "Amazing! Keep doing that please!" She begged feeling his fingers slowly entering her. His fingers entered her more hearing her pleading for more. He would never ignore her needs and her wants.
She came quickly feeling her body bucking against his. His name falling from her lips. "Christ that was hot!" Kim relaxed against his body. "Well you are welcome and you deserve it always." He spun her around kissing her hard. As they made out Kim moved her hand down his body wrapping her fingers around his penis. "God darling!" He broke the kiss needing air but also the pleasure was too much. She stroked him slowly trying to drag it out a bit. "Please quicker." He moaned loving the feeling. "Are you sure?" She asked with a smirk. "God yes!" He groaned as she sped up her movements. "God thank you!" Adam pulled her back into a hard kiss. She bit his lower lip a bit loving the groan he would let out. She kissed him harder again knowing he was about to come all over her body. The groan was loud, the shuddering was crazy but Kim never stopped stroking him entire he was limp again.
She smirked washing him off her body. "God that was incredible. Thank you." He kissed her softly knowing they needed to get moving a bit. "Always!" She winked as she moved back to washing herself. "Tons of play time later. I want to see these new outfits on you." He winked this time just as he got out of the shower. "Oh I know. I did grab another surprise for you that you wanted. But that's much later tonight." She winked cracking up seeing him fidgeting. She got out a few minutes later smirking still at him. The couple brushed their teeth and finished getting ready. They headed out to the farmers market that was close to the lake house. They had wanted to go earlier in the summer but Jim had been sick so that didn't happen. So today would be the first time going there. Kim was excited since it was a normal couple thing to do. No one around here bothered her. She was just a normal person around there. Maybe the interview would change that but as of now she loved the fact no one knew her or bothered her.
The drove over in Adams jeep with the top down. It was beautiful outside so why not. They arrive just a short time later. "This looks cute. We need to grab something to eat as we walk around." Kim pointed to a small coffee stand. "Sounds good let's see what they have to eat." He guided her there looking at the stands they passed by. "You want a coffee with yogurt and granola?" Adam asked looking at the menu available. "Yeah that sounds good." Kim looked around loving this. Adam ordered moving to the side so others can order. He wrapped his arm around Kim as they waited. "That stand has fresh bread. We should get some for the week." Adam pointed towards the stand. "Looks good. The one next to it has fresh eggs, fresh organic meats, soups. That would be good. I prefer the antibiotic free meats." Adam nodding as he grabbed the coffee's and Kim grabbed the breakfast. They moved to a small bench to eat their breakfast as they enjoyed the outdoors.
"The granola is really good. It's home made and organic. I will have to check this place out for lunch one day. It looks cute." Kim shared a bite with Adam. "That is good. And I agree we have to check this place out for lunch." The couple sat enjoying the quiet time. Adam waited till her bowl was empty before he offered to move forward. "Yes let's keep moving." Kim was happy to see what they could purchase. They walked for about an hour getting lots of fresh fruit and veggies, farm fresh eggs, organic chicken, fresh bread and several plants. They headed home to put the food away and relax a bit at home before heading to the carnival. Adam texted his team to see who was actually joining them. He was happy to see that Erin, Jay, Kevin and Mouse were all going to join them. They decided to meet up at 2pm so it gave them time to relax some more. "Let's hit the dock for a bit." Kim smiled as she headed to grab the suits and towels.
"Let's go!" Adam loved being in the water so he was happy to head down again. They changed in the outdoor shower before walking down to the dock. Kim wrapped her hair up so it wouldn't get wet. She didn't want to wash it again. "Oh the water feels nice." Kim stated as she got on the float. "You are right. This is nice." Adam grabbed a float but didn't tie his to the dock. He could just swim back. "I love this!" Kim laughed splashing Adam a bit. "Hey that's not nice!" He laughed trying to get away from her. "No come back!" She laughed. "Stop splashing and I will!" He laughed coming closer again. Kim grabbed the handle on his float pulling him closer to her. "You know I've seen a lot more people on the lake lately but it's still pretty calm. Hopefully this won't get too crazy as the summer moves on. Like I know I'm back to work in a few weeks but it's only rehearsals the first two weeks of work so I think we can stay here till August 1st ish." Kim wasn't 100% sure on the date.
"It might get busier but that's okay. The lake is big enough that you can still get peace and quiet. And if it gets too loud you can just use your ear buds. But I'm not worried about that. It's going to be great." He was not worried about the noise level and extra people on the lake. He knew it would be fine. "I know you are right. I just love the privacy here. It feels almost magical. Heavenly." Kim smiled looking towards the water. "It is heaven absolutely. This is the perfect place for you, for us." Adam tried his best to kiss her but he ended up tipping over. Kim was hysterically laughing as he came up for air. "Not cool darling! Laughing at me!" He tried to scold but he was laughing too. "Oh please I'm laughing with you not at you!" He started to laugh again. "Well I'm getting out to dry off and make some proper lunch. You coming up?" Adam asked knowing she was happy in the water. "I should get out. I want to eat and let my belly settle before we go to the carnival. Would hate to get sick after the first ride." She laughed as she moved out of the water.
"Yeah let's not have that happen." He laughed as he grabbed her float pulling it out. "Definitely don't want that to happen. That would be humiliating and we can't have that happen." She wrapped herself in a towel heading for the deck. He dried off completely before heading in to make lunch. Kim basked in the sun letting it warm her up now cold from the water. Before Adam returned Kim moved to shower area to dry the private areas and change out of her wet bathing suit. She left everything in there to dry out a bit. She found Adam waiting at the table for. "Better now?" He asked seeing her dry and dressed. "Yes! I was getting a bit cool with the wet suit still on. So this was necessary. I can always wear a different suit later." She shrugged as she sat down to eat her lunch. "Oh yeah and then we can just do all the wash on Monday after we are done with the lake. I plan on spending lots of time in the water tomorrow." He winked getting her riled up a bit.
"Sounds amazing! Love it!" Kim winked back loving the game they played. The couple sat quietly but comfortably eating their lunch together. Sharing soft touches as they enjoying the silence. It was only when they finished eating that Adam asked about the response to her interview. "Have you looked at social media today?" He wondered if she was brave enough today or not. "No. I read a few text messages that showed support from friends and colleagues but other than that I haven't bothered. I'm not sure I'm ready for that. The comments before the interview were brutal enough. People wishing me hell, hoping I got injured and ruined my career. It was/is hard to read. So I don't think I will." Kim couldn't handle it again. And really it wasn't fair. She didn't put this out there. Her sister looking for a payout did. Causing more harm than was already inflicted. "I get people have the right to their opinion. We both know that. But wishing someone harm is not okay. Doesn't matter what the issue is. The true fans, the true friends have your back always. And from the texts I got about your interview it went really well. No way it could cause backlash." He wouldn't force her to look but he wanted her to know he heard the positive feedback.
"I'm just not looking to invite more drama so for me I think I'm done with the situation. Unless something else comes up I'm done with it all. It's just too much. And I want to enjoy today and not worry about anything other than having fun." She really was over her family. They just caused too much damage and they could never recover from that. And really she wouldn't even try. She truly had a better life without them in it. "That's fine. I just wanted to let you know there used to be support for you out there. And that the interview was edited in a positive way. We were both worried about that. And it worked in our favor. So let's focus on that and the rest of the weekend." He got up to hug her tight knowing she really needed it. The both felt his phone buzz. "Looks like everyone is here." He replied letting them know to come around back.
"Hey guys!" Adam was happy to see them. "Hey thanks for the invite." Erin hugged them both as did everyone else. "We are happy you guys could make it." Kim turned quickly hearing a very familiar mew. "Hey buddy! You want snuggles?" Kim walked closer knowing he would be uncomfortable with all the new people. Adam didn't even ask he just moved a lounge chair further off the deck so they could cuddle a bit. Kim laid back watching Boots rubbing around the chair. "Come on!" Kim patted the chair as he jumped right up climbing up her. "Drooling already? My goodness bud!" Kim laughed so did Adam watching them. The team watching them. "Is this an everyday thing?" Kevin asked watching them. "Um most days. And if he doesn't see her he will cry till I get her. He loves the attention and she's happy to pet him without the responsibility of taking care of him." Adam loved watching them together. "He is pretty cute." Erin watched loving how happy Kim looked.
"He is. But he has scratched her several times. He likes to bite if you pet where he doesn't want. And he loves to lick himself while on Kim's body. Neither of us need to see him butthole." He heard Kim gagging a bit. "You okay?" He added unsure. "Yeah I just didn't need to see the red rocket, ie his little penis!" Kim was looking everywhere but at the cat at the moment. The team cracking up. "Little dude! That is sexual harassment and I might need to arrest you!" They all laughed. But the cat didn't care he just kept on cleaning himself on top Kim. Everyone was amazed by how loving and tender the two were together till he started to nip. "Nope buddy! We don't do that. Nipping means you have to go." Kim was stern but not angry. "You know he's going to fall any minute." Adam was still watching as the team hung around the table chatting. "Oh absolutely! Little wiggle worm." Kim pointed to show the cat moving down her legs already as he wiggled around. "He's a mess!" Adam laughed. "Oh yeah and the poor thing has been skunked recently. They washed him but he still smells. I definitely need to change after this." Kim watched as the cat slide off the lounge chair to the ground still rolling around.
"Alright little buddy till later okay. I have plans and you are trying to trap me. See you later okay?" Kim gave him one more head scratch before she headed inside to change her outfit that she was sure smelled now. "Babe can you put these in the wash to get the smell out?" Kim asked as she walked inside. "Yeah of course. It doesn't smell strong but just to be safe we will wash them." He followed her grabbing the items she had stripped off. She got redressed quickly heading back outside to sit with everyone before they headed out. "Wash started. I'm washing it on hot water to help with the smell." He saw Kim smiling. "Thanks babe! I really do appreciate it. Should we get moving?" Kim asked the group. "Yes! This is going to be so much fun!" Mouse was excited about the rides. "Me too! Let's go!" Adam grabbed the keys as they headed out. Kim had nervous energy running through her body as they made the short ride. "Remember if you don't like the first ride you don't have to ride anymore." Adam was hoping this would work out but he wasn't sure. "I know. I'm excited but also nervous. I think it will be fine. And I think I'm more excited for carnival food than the rides." Kim laughed a bit.
"Well then I'm excited for that too!" He laughed with her. "Well I never had cotton candy, funnel cake, caramel apple. I just want to try them and enjoy it will you." She shrugged a bit. "Then that's what we will do. You ready?" He saw her eyes getting bigger. "Yeah let's do this!" Kim laughed a bit getting out of the jeep. "Yes! Let's do this!" He jumped up running to her side. He picked her hugging her tight swinging her around. They were just happy to spend time together having fun no matter what they did. They met the others at the gate as they headed in. It was free to enter but they had to pay for the rides and the food. "Which did you want to try first?" He saw her looking around her eyes bright and wide. "Um that one!" Kim pointed to a roller coaster type ride that went in circles. "Are you sure? It goes backwards at times?" Adam wanted to be sure first. "If I'm gonna try this I should just go for it. So yes let's do this." Kim was confident but also still nervous.
"Okay let's get some tickets then." Adam led her to the ticket booth feeling the nerves swirling inside. He got enough tickets for them both to ride this ride before he got more just in case. They waited till everyone was ready before they moved to the ride. Kim was still looking around at all the rides and food vendors. She could see nothing was healthy at all. But that was okay. She could manage it. They were all led on to the ride. Kim and Adam alone in one car, Erin and Jay in another and Mouse with Kevin. As the ride started Kim felt okay but as it sped up she clung tight to the railing. Adam was cracking up but he could see she was really enjoying it but was worried at the same time. He wrapped his arm around her holding her tight. When the ride started going backwards Kim screamed but laughed the whole time. As it ended Kim was sad it was over but ready to try more rides.
"So what did you think?" Adam asked as they got back on the ground. "It was crazy. Kind of scary but also fun. I think we should do more." Kim was dragging Adam to the ticket booth. The whole group laughing. "Kim have you been on carousel?" Erin asked seeing one there. "Not that I know of. I have no memories of one." Kim shrugged unsure. "I think we should do that!" Erin loved them even though she tried to be a badass. "Sounds good to me." Kim was game for almost anything so she was excited. "We promise to take lots of photos." Jay promised knowing they would love the photos. Adam got them both unlimited ride bands as it was more cost effective. "Okay let's go to the next ride." Adam wrapped the band around her wrist. "Yes let's go!" Kim laughed as they headed to the next one. Everyone laughed with her. It was crazy to them that something so small could make her so happy and excited. But I really did.
They were half way through all the rides when they all sat down with all the things Kim wanted to try. She insisted everyone share so she didn't feel so guilty about the calories. "Like me get the camera ready before you take a bite. I want a photo of that moment you try each of these." Adam was excited for her to get this experience. "Okay." Kim rolled her eyes but there was no bite behind it. She was too excited to care. Kim took the first bite of the cameral apple. She was shimming with happiness. "So good! We need to get these again!" She laughed taking another bite. "I'm sending this photo to Antonio. He's going to be so thrilled seeing you like this." Kevin laughed but was enjoying the left over snacks that she said she couldn't eat. It was a lot of junk so it made sense. "Ah go for it!" Kim laughed more.
"Which one next?" Adam had no idea which she more excited about. "Cotton Candy! Both colors." Kim's eyes were lit up. Adam laughed handing her some of each. She looked giddy about it. She tasted both letting it melt on her tongue. "So good. I think the blue is better than the pink. What is that yellow bag?" Kim pointed back towards it. "Banana." Mouse answered. "Nope! Fake banana flavor reminds me antibiotics as a kid. That is a hell no!" Kim grimaced thinking about it. "Agreed! That's wrong! Though online you can get tons of different flavors. But I agree the blue raspberry is the best." Erin was munching on some as well as they spoke. "I will have to look into it." Kim laughed but so did Adam. He could only imagine how crazy the sugar buzz would be. "It's all good. I might just sleep at the other house if you get too crazy." He gave her a look trying to be stern but laughed when she smacked him trying to be offended but laughing too hard.
"Okay one more to try before we hit more rides." Adam handed her a chunk of the funnel cake waiting to see her reaction. "Okay let's do this." Kim smiled as she took a bite. She chewed on the bite knowing she was being watched. "It's good. Messy, but good. Nothing overly special but I like it." Kim smiled a bit licking her fingers clean. "Well are you happy you tried it all?" Jay asked happy to be apart of this. "Absolutely!" She thought before she continued. "I know I can't get my childhood back. But getting these experiences heals parts of my broken soul. Heals parts that I never thought could be healed. I feel like this is a second chance at childhood even though I'm 26. But I'm loving this, a lot." Kim smiled leaning in to Adams embrace. It was comforting and comfortable. "I have to admit it's been fun watching you try new things. The glee, the smile, the laughing makes this even better." Kevin hugged her since he was sitting next to her. "And none of us would have come here if it wasn't for you. So thank you because this has been so much fun." Mouse was loving the laid back day they were having. They normally dealt with all the worst crimes known to man. It was brutal.
"Well I'm happy you all joined us. This has been so much fun for me." They finished munching on the snacks before heading back to the rides. Kim was laughing and screaming on all the rides. Some they even rode twice since she was having such a great time. But Kim was getting tired and needed to rest again. "You ready to head home for a short nap? Then more swimming?" He watched her smile brightly. "Sounds great. I am getting tired. I know I'm still healing so yes let's go home. We can always come back tomorrow." Kim yawned a bit but was still smiling. "Alright let's head out. Y'all are welcome to come back to spend time in the lake." Adam offered knowing they all loved it. "Sounds great but let's move so Kim can sleep. We can all see how exhausted she is." Kevin helped lead her back to the car Incase she started to crash out.
Kim was settled in the car as Adam jumped in to drive them home. As soon as they got there Kim was already sound asleep. Adam opened the door walking back to carry Kim to their room. He stripped her of the confine clothes and put a blanket over her to keep her warm. He left the room seeing his team waiting. "She out for a good hour now. So let's change and head out to the water." Adam grabbed drinks for everyone and they headed in different rooms to change in to swim wear. They all ended up on the dock jumping in the water trying to cool off from the crazy heat of the day. "You know we really love this place Ruz!" Kevin had come out of the water for his drink. "Thanks we really love it here. I think this place is healing us both. It's crazy how much we love it. It's really the best life here." Adam looked back towards their house loving it. "Who would have thought this was the life for you. We never thought you would be happy living in a small town lake house." Jay had been surprised but he really was proud and happy for his friends. "Oh I know. But I really enjoy being able to relax here with Kim. She just makes me so incredibly happy. No matter what we do." He smiled leaning back on the float Kim normally used.
"We can all see that. It's truly amazing." Erin looked over at Jay knowing they were happy together but wondered if a place here could make them even happier. But she wasn't going to push him towards the decision. Jay knew what she was thinking. He nodded at her letting her know he would think about it more. The group returned to the water having a great time while time slept. She really did need the rest. Today had been a big day and her body was still recovering from being sick. She had lost a lot of sleep the whole week so this was important for her. They noticed her working her way down to the dock around an hour later dressed for the water with drinks for them all. "How was your nap?" Adam swam over to jump out. "Great thank you. Much needed, will need to stretch later but I feel good." She smiled hugging him even though he was soaked. "Perfect. I think some Pilates later would be helpful." He knew she loved it and really he did too. "Sounds perfect. I'm ready to swim though." She winked slowly getting into the water.
Adam got back in as well he loved swimming in the lake. He loved watching Kim swimming in the lake. "Do you want your float?" He asked watching her swimming a bit. "Yes please!" Kim loved floating better so she could work on her tan. "Okay here you go." Adam pushed it over to her. "Thank you! I can stay cool but work on my tan." She laughed as Adam moved her to the sun some. "Enjoy the sun." He kissed her softly before moving under the water again. The whole group continued to swim till night fall when they all headed inside again. The team had left the couple be for the night. They had been together long enough and they didn't want to over stay their welcome. Once the couple was alone they settled together on a lounge chair. "This has been a great day." Kim whispered as she settled her head on his chest. "It really has been. I'm so happy we did this. You looked so carefree all day." He kissed her head holding her tight.
"We really need to eat something." Kim mused as she had no interest in moving. "Well that you are right about. How about I cook tonight? Just relax a bit longer." He moved her body so he could get up to cook. Her eyes were closed but he knew she was just relaxing, enjoying the quiet time. Kim was luckily able to relax as she laid there. The day had been amazing. But she was tired. So Adam cooking was a god send to her. Less than an hour later Adam had dinner set up inside for them. He came out lifting her up to carry her to dinner. The bathing suit was dry now and covered more skin than her normal suits but he knew that was because his friends were there. She wanted to be more covered in front of them. And he was okay with that. "Should we just relax tonight?" Adam asked. "Yeah that's a great idea. We can watch a game." Kim knew he would love that. "Perfect. We can snuggle while we watch it." He knew it would be a lovely night.
"I got a few messages from Brian. He was very happy with how the interview went. And said he has received a lot of feedback that it went well. And calls from the gossip rags have stopped so I guess it helped." Kim mentioned almost out of no where. "Well I'm happy to hear that. I think most people hearing the truth would have made the same call. But I'm really happy to hear the pain of the interview worked." He squeezed her hand giving her a smile. "Me too. I still wish it could have been kept quiet but it's whatever at this point. I'm over the bullshit but still have things to clean up. My lawyers are working on getting my grandmother moved. It's going to take a bit but they are positive it will happen. I'm half tempted to ask them to visit my mom to find out why she did it. But I know it's pointless. And it's even more money wasted to fix their mess." Kim rolled her eyes. "Well that's very true! They wasted too much money for no damn reason. Just wanting to skate through life. With no effort, no initiative, no work, no nothing. They are a waste of space." Adam knew she knew that but neither had said it.
"I know that. It still bothers me. But it's out there now. Not all the details but enough to get the point across. To stop the crazy. But tonight let's just relax together. Then tomorrow we can play inside and outside all day." She winked. "Omg! Absolutely! Outfits, toys, the game, everything!" Adam was very excited for the day to come. "Definitely." She smiled brightly but settled next to him. The couple watched the game snuggled together till she fell asleep after the game was over. Adam turned the tv off and carried Kim to bed. He smiled kissing her softly as he finished cleaning up the house before he joined her in bed. He felt her snuggle into his side as he joined her. "Good night baby!" Kim whispered. "Night my love!" He whispered back as he drifted off.
