The next morning Kim woke early with excitement for the days ahead. Though today she had been to all the sights she was happy to visit again with Adam. He hadnt been to downtown Philly before. Well really Philly at all besides the stadium complex. So this would be fun for him and probably eye opening. They would in several different areas that varied in cultures. She started kissing all over his face trying to wake him softly. "Well good morning! You look excited this morning." Adam smiled seeing her so happy. "I am! Im excited to explore Philly with you. Im excited to be here with you in one of my favorite cities." She was bright eyed and smiling wide. "Well then we should get moving. Cant keep the city waiting!" He was happy to get moving and to start exploring the city together. "Breakfast first, explore the market then back to shower? We have the room till 4?" Kim was starving. "Yeah lets go. I am pretty hungry so lets go." Adam was excited to get some food. It was always fun watching Kim eat bad foods or really just food at all.
"Awesome!" Kim pushed herself up to get dressed for breakfast at least. They were quick so they could beat the morning rush. As they walked across the street Adam was hit by the immense humidity and heat. "My god it's ridiculously hot already." Adam groaned as they walked. "Suck it up buttercup!" Kim laughed pulling him towards the market. They found a small table easily. "What are you gonna eat?" He looked over the menu knowing there wasn't healthy on it. "Peach cobbler french toast, cheese grits and turkey bacon." Kim grinned looking up from the menu. "Sounds good. Do you plan on sharing?" He knew she would but liked to ask. "Of course! Have to make sure you try some grits!" Kim laughed a little. They ordered food making small talk as they waited. "Lots of texts from the photos we sent yesterday. Everyone happy we are having a great time." He showed her the messages he had recieved. "Im glad. This has been a fun trip food wise so far. Hated that my team lost last night. I was so bummed!" Kim pouted but Adam just laughed leaning in to kiss the pout away.
When the food arrived Kims eyes lite up. "That looks good!" Adam looked at her plate. "Oh Im sure it is." Kim took the first bite shimming in her seat. Adam laughing with joy. "Try the grits!" Kim offered a spoonful. Adam took the bite processing the flavor. "Not my favorite. But its not bad." He shrugged. "Well more for me then!" She stuck her tongue out at him. "Just enjoy them then." He smiled loving her happily eating her carbs. They finished eating and headed for the donut stand. Kim was excited looking at all the different flavors. The line wasnt that long so the wait was short. They ordered a 6 pack so they could try more of the flavors. Adam paid before they walked around the market. Looking at all the shops and different food stands. "I could do some damage here eating all these foods." Adam was looking around wanting to try everything. "I know! Its insane how much great stuff there is here." Kim loved it.
They headed back to the hotel after another hour of walking around. Once inside the hotel they got Starbucks and headed to their room. "Should we try a donut or two before we head out again?" Kim asked excited for them. "Of course! Then we shower. Im excited to head out again." He was full of excitement about the adventure ahead. Kim opened the box looking for one to try. She picked up one biting into it moaning at the flavor. "So good!" Kim offered the donut to Adam to have a bite. "So good!" He took another bite smiling with her. She moved to the windows looking outside as they munched on the donuts. "You ready to shower?" Adam asked wrapping his arms around her waist. "Sure. We have lots to explore today. So we really need to moving." Kim smiled looking over the city. "Perfect! Lets get this booty washed!" Adam scooped her up carrying her to the shower. He was excited and was determined to get moving sooner than later.
The couple showered washing each other bodies. It was somewhat quick but they enjoyed the time touching each other. The couple dressed comfortably before heading out. They decided to take the car so it would be easier and they wouldnt need to worry about the time. "Okay first stop ESP. Lets go!" Kim jumped in the drivers seat setting up the GPS and headed out. Kim could tell Adam was excited which was all she cared about. When they arrived Adam was humming with excitement. He jumped out right away wanting to get inside and fast. Kim jogged over to walk them inside the gates. They got in seeing they just missed the tour so they decided to do the self guided tour. It was easy and fun. Adam was looking at all the rooms, the walls, going up the stairs, hoping for an experience with the paranormal. He was having a great time. Staying at Capones cell longer amazed by how much better it was than the others.
Only when he was done did they move on to the Muttter Museum. Kim knew it would be uncomfortable but they were excited to see it. Kim paid for the tickets as they entered. The smell of formaldehyde hitting the couple as they passed the ticket booth. "Oh the smell." Adam cringed. "Told you!" Kim laughed. "Lets do this!" He laughed a bit. They walked down the stairs hand in hand. "Oh wow!" Adam looked at the brain in front of him with all the nerves coming out of it. "Thats insane!" Adam looked over it. "Its cool right?" Kim asked as they looked over it. "Yeah." He saw the skulls and started to move towards them. Lookimg over each of the wounds inflicted. "This one is super old with a scalping as a Native American. So crazy." Adam was amazed. "It is pretty cool. Though its a little strange." Kim shuddered as they kept walking around looking at all the displays. They got to the opposite side Adam gasping as they saw the jars with organs in them. "It gets crazier!" Kim knew it was about to get worse.
As they moved further Adam was gasping more, his eyes wide. "My god Kim. It looks like it was old enough to survive." He stared at the stillborn fetus in the jar. "I know. Its hard to look at." He pulled her into his chest needing to feel her heartbeat. "Its going to be okay." She rubbed his back letting him feel his emotions. "I think this was harder than I thought it would be." He admitted. "I get that. I really do. We can leave if you want. I think I know place that would make you smile and laugh again." She felt him nod. "Okay lets go." Kim knew this would be rough but she never thought he would break down like this. Kim got them back in the car and headed to the Magic Garden. "Be prepared to be amazed!" She laughed knowing what was coming. Adam was shook so he just watched the workd go by. They arrived at the gardens, Kim smiling already. "I got to potty. You need to go?" Kim asked. Adam was confused but followed her. "You can go first." Kim let him go in while he looked confused. She waited outside but heard him laughing.
He opened the door pulling her inside. "Really Kim?" He was cracking up point to the concrete penis coming off the wall. "I almost grabbed it!" He was still laughing. "I knew this would get you laughing again. Let me pee then we can look for more." She wiggled her eyes brows. "Sounds good." He washed his hands leaving her be. As he stood outside the bathroom he saw a full naked sculpture of a nude man. Kim exited the bathroom seeing him amused. "Ready to keep looking for more penis and vaginas?" She asked smirking. "Yes sounds like a fun time, interesting for certain." He let her lead them around the gardens looking for the different examples. "Was this person obsessed with private parts?" Adam asked pointing to more vaginas. "Pretty much." Kim laughed as they kept moving. By the time they left the couple was all smiles again. "That was great! Unexpected but great. Thank you for pulling me out of my funk." He kissed her softly but lovingly. "You are very welcome." Kim winked as they moved back to the car.
"You hungry?" Kim asked. "Sure I could eat. Whats your thought?" He asked. "Just sit back and relax. It's insane but we are splitting it. No way we could eat the whole thing." Kim laughed a bit knowing what she had planned. Kim parked the car a short time later only having to walk a few blocks. They step outside the shop. "Mac Mart?" He smiled. "7 cheese mac and cheese. 1 pound container that is literally a to go container." She kaughed dragging him in. "Oh this looks crazy good. Is that Lobster?" Adam asked. "Yup! We can also hit Lukes Lobsters which is not too far." She shrugged smiling. "Awesome!" Adam smiled as they ordered. "Thats an insane amount of food. And it weighs more than a pound by the way." He carried the food outside to sit while eating. Kim brought the drinks, silverwear and napkins. She watched as he dug in first. "My god this is so good!" Adam moaned eating more. "It started as a food truck but they sold out every day with a long line still waiting so they opened a shop to keep up more." Kim took a bite enjoying the creamy cheese but also the buttery lobster.
"Im loving this. Good food, sunshine, you shining bright." He held her hand as they continued to eat. "Me too. And we still have plenty of time to explore." Kim ate a bit more but it was really too much food even for both of them. "I think we need to walk some after that. Im stuffed!" Adam groaned in discomfort. "Agreed so lets walk some." Kim stood up throwing out the trash as Adam got up to start walking again. It was a nice long walk into Old City. Which Adam wanted to see anyway. "Thank you for walking all the way over here." Adam smiled looking at the Liberty Bell. "You are welcome! This was easy. A long walk sure but we needed it." Kim laughed rubbing her belly. "I really did need that long walk. I feel better now." Adam laughed holding her tight. "Lets keep walking, looking." Kim bumped her hips back laughing as he groaned. "Yes lets keep walking, looking, exploring before we have to leave for the beach." He loved the playful nature of their relationship. It was never boring. In the bedroom or not.
The couple moved through Constitution Hall, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross's house and the full surrounding area. It was hours later before they walked back to the car. "This has been the best day. Thank you for doing this." He kissed her cheek. "You are so very welcome! Im happy we got to do this." Kim wrapped her arm around his waist holding him close. "Love this!" He wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Me too!" Kim smiled wide. "Whats next on the agenda?" Kim asked as they walked. "Um well its just around 6 at this point. I think we should start heading South. Eat something on the way. I really just want to get to the beach and spend the whole night making love to my wife." He smirked hearing her gasp. "Sounds like a good plan! So lets get moving then." Kim was excited to get moving and she had the perfect place to stop for food.
They got in the car and headed out of the parking garage. She typed in the city she wanted to stop at but not the name of the restaurant. It would give away too much of the fun. "Do you know where we are going?" He asked slightly confused that she used GPS. "Once Im on the highway yes. The downtown area Im not as familiar with. The restaurant Im taking you too has a crazy name. And I want to surprise you." She laughed a bit knowing what was to come. "Okay well lets go then." He smiled curious where she was taking him. He watched the scenery go by. It was a quick ride before they crossed the border into Delaware. Kim took the coastal route looking over the river between Jersey and Delaware. He was even more confused when she pressed the button to recirculate the air in the car. "Oil refinery up ahead and it smells vile." Kim pointed as they went passed it. Adam nodded along thankful not to have to smell it.
They got further into the state, it looked like any other state. "That is the largest mall in Delaware." Kim pointed as they passed by. "Cool. Looks crazy busy." He was surprised. "Its tax free shopping. And its close to Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland so its busy." Kim smiled as they continued down the highway. She was excited as they were close to the restaurant. They pulled off the highway moving onto a two lane road with tons of trees around them. Adam continued to watch as she drove. He found them in a cute older town, houses very close together. But the town was cute. Kim pulled up to a parking space in front of a park. "Is that a river?" Adam asked. "Yup! And the building in the water out there is Fort Delaware." Kim let them walk towards it looking around a bit. "Very cool! Dinner time, Im excited to see this mystery place." Adam hugged her tickling her a bit. "Okay turn around then!" Kim laughed a bit. Adam turns to see a large hotel looking place. "Welcome to Crabby Dicks!" Kim laughed as Adam cracked up.
"Lets go get some crab balls and seamen sauce!" Kim pulled him closer both laughing. "This is pretty great! I love all the old buildings around here." Adam hugged her as they walked closer. "It is a great little town. The former mayor bought up a decent amount of buildings and rehabbed them. The ice cream shop next door was open forever when the owner died the former mayor bought it to keep it open. He didnt want an institution to close." Kim moved into the restaurant to get a table. She was excited to relax and get some good seafood. "This look cool. I like that its an old hotel. And this menu is hysterical." He was amused by all the menu items that had dirty names or double meanings. "I agree. I love the crab cakes here. The large chunks of crab in them." Kim smiled as they sat next to a window looking towards the river. "Well I look forward to trying them." He smiled taking her hand. The couple ordered drinks and dinner, snacking on the popcorn they were given.
"What are you most excited about for tomorrow?" Kim asked as they relaxed. "Seeing the ocean. Relaxing with you in the sun and sand. Maybe the water depending on the waves." He smiled thinking of her in a bathing suit. "Well the hotel has a pool so thats an option too." Kim shrugged a bit. "Sounds good. Im excited either way. Just getting to see something new, somewhere new with you is all I care about." He was watching her munching on the popcorn. "Monday I was thinking about driving over to Assateague Island. They have wild horses roaming the road ways and beaches. Thought that might be fun to check out." Kim suggested since it was a a bit different. "Sounds cool. Is it in Delaware or Maryland?" He asked interested in it. "Maryland. Its only like 30 minutes from Delaware. And not too far out of the way on the way to Ellicot City." Kim answered as their food arrived. "Im down for that. Have you been there before?" He asked.
"Nope! But they have a public beach area that has changes areas, bathrooms, a small restaurant. So its a good place to spend a full day even if we dont have a full day." Kim cut open her crab cakes looking for the big chunks to eat first. "Then lets do that! New places together sounds great! And sounds cool with wild horses roaming around. We would never get that in Chicago. Im so down for it." Adam was excited but even more excited for the large piece of crab Kim offered him. "Thats really good! I can see why you picked it apart to get the large pieces first." He smiled squeezing her hand. "It is really good. Maybe a little walk after dinner towards the marina?" Kim suggested. "Yeah sounds good. The walk will be good after eating all this." He watched Kim eating happily with her two veggie sides. "We walked a ton today but I feel like its not enough with all the calories we ate today. Between the donuts, french toast and mac and cheese. I need to move a shit ton more." Kim shuddered thinking about it. "I honestly think you have done well today balancing the two. But we can walk after dinner and then walk the boardwalk when we get there. We will need to stretch again after the drive. AndI promise a bedroom workout tonight." He winked watching her blush a bit.
"I read something on the internet so lord knows if its true but it said one round of sex burns as many calories as a 3 mile run." Kim smirked a bit. "Huh. Not sure I agree but in theroy it sounds good." He mused thinking about it. "Lets finish eating, head out on our walk then to the beach. Im excited!" Kim shimmied her shoulders a bit. "Me too!" They finished eating dinner in a comfortable silence holding hands the whole time. As they headed out of the restaurant they walked along the river it was a short walk but it was nice. The breeze off the water was nice in the summer heat. "This really is a cute town Kim." Adam loved it a lot. "I agree. But its pretty expensive to live here. A 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom rundown townhouse is over 275,000. So its not in the plans anytime soon." She bumped his hip a bit as they walked. "Sounds expensive. But we can visit again." He threw his arm around her shoulders. "Oh absolutely!" Kim just smiled as they started to head back to the car.
"Alright lets head out to the beach!" He tickled her as she started to run towards the car laughing. Adam jogged after her laughing at her silliness. They entered the car heading to the beach. The couple jammed out to the radio as they headed to the beach. Adam watching the scenery go by. It was an easy ride, mostly highway as they traveled. But they enjoyed it. As they arrived in town Adam noticed lots of beach shops, lots of outlets but it still seemed like a normal town. Kim made one left turn and he saw the boardwalk ahead. It was now a beach town. "Im liking this already." He smiled as they pulled up to the hotel. They jumped out grabbing their bags and heading into the hotel. Kim checked into the hotel ready to get to the beach. It was later already but neither cared.
They barely got in the room before they headed right back out to the beach. Adam wanted to get his feet in the sand. "Oh I'm loving this! Its so amazing looking! I cant wait to get in thr water tomorrow." They walked down to the waters edge. They let the water splash on their legs as the moved along the beach. Kim squealed in surprise as Adam scooped her up. "Im ready for bedtime!" He winked carrying her back to their room. As they headed into the hotel he did place her down. As they waited for the elevator Kim decided to ask the one question she wondered all night. "Was today everything you wanted it to be?" Kim asked. "More than I could have expected. Still upset by the stillborn fetus we saw but the rest was amazing. So much history, so much fun and so much food. It was the best and it was all thanks to you!" He hugged her as they entered the elevator. "Im happy to hear that. That was all I wanted for you. To relax and enjoy life. But explore more of what this country has to offer." They stayed in the embrace till the elevator hit their floor. They moved to their room ready to move on with the night.
"Today was the best because you let me do whatever I wanted to do while supprting my interests. Never acting like you were bored with it. Just happy to be with me enjoying life. So thank you for being a tourist today. I know you hate that but I really enjoyed it. But I think I enjoyed watching you eating even more. It was pretty carefree for you. I loved it!" He kissed her slowly pouring all his emotions into the kiss. Letting it be known he was done talking. Their bodies needed to do the talking now. Adam took over stripping her clothes loving that her chest was heaving with want. "You need to lose your clothes too!" Kim moaned feeling his lips on her neck. "Oh dont worry about that at all. They will be gone shortly." He kissed back up her neck to her mouth. He opened her mouth allowing his tongue into her mouth. The couple moaning as they fought for dominance.
Kim pushed him back pulling his shirt over his head throwing it across the room. She grabbed his belt pulling it open and pushing his shorts to the floor. He picked her up tossing her on the bed. Kim laughed as Adam crawled over her. Kissing her skin as he moved. Kim grabbed the back of his head pulling his mouth back to hers. "Im in control right now. I want to make you feel all my love tonight." He watched her nod letting him do as he pleased. They both loved having control but they didnt mind giving up control to the other. They always made it fun for each other. Kim laid back fully allowing Adam to remove the last barriers of clothing. His lips covering her body in kisses. Neither rushing just enjoying each other, savoring the moment. Adam moved her leg wrapping it around his hip. He adjusted his body just a bit thrusting inside her groaning feeling like he was home.
Kims arms wrapped around his neck pulling him closer wanting to kiss him. The couple sharing slow languid kisses as he continued to make love to his wife, his only one. As the couple came together they had tears in their eyes. "So beautiful my love." Kim whispered as she kissed his chest. "Agreed. Only you can bring me to tears. Only you allow me to be so comfortable to show my emotions. I love you so damn much." He moved to kiss her again. He loved being intimate with her but in these moments he loved her more. "I love you too! So fucking much!" Kim knew he loved it when she said fuck. It drove him crazy. "God you know I love it when you curse!" Adam growled attacking her lips again. The couple made love twice more before falling asleep wrapped together naked, tired but sated.
The day had been full of amazing highs and only a short low. But it was everything they dreamed of. And they couldnt see what adventures lay ahead. Especially when Adam saw the ocean for the first time. They both couldn't wait. It would make for some great days ahead they knew that for certain. But it was a great adventure.
