Ch 2

The moment Hunter opened the hotel suite door he heard the happy relieved sigh of the nanny. The woman wasted no time filling Bella and Hunter in on how Samantha had argued all night till she finally fell asleep. The nanny hurried out of the room giving her resignation leaving Bella and Hunter like so many other nannies had done in the last few weeks.

"I think we may never find a nanny that lasts more than a week," Bella said heading into her bedroom finding Samantha curled up in a ball on the sofa. She sat down on the edge of the bed running her fingers through her niece's long light blonde hair kissing her forehead.

"We will figure it out. I don't know what gets into her sometimes," Hunter leaned in the doorway looking at his daughter feeling the familiar frustration.

"You can let me come watch you," Samantha's soft voice filled the room as opened her sky blue eyes staring at her Dad and her aunt. "I'm not a baby."

"No you're not but you're acting like a toddler when you drive the nannies to quit," Hunter said sitting on the other side of the bed. "If I let you come with Aunt Bella to one of the shows will you stop being a brat?"

"I'm not a brat!" Samanta exclaimed sitting up.

"You were tonight." Bella firmly said. "You know better."

"I'm sorry," she apologized right away knowing her aunt was right. "I would like to come to a show."

"Ok we will make that happen. Go back to sleep and we will talk more tomorrow," Hunter said, kissing her cheek. Samantha nodded ok, giving her Dad a big hug before hugging her aunt. "I'll see you two in the morning. Good night," Hunter said, heading off into his bedroom. Bella tucked her niece in before laying down in her bed thinking about the Undertaker again.

Bella woke up very early heading down to the lobby to use the gym before Samantha woke up. She was about to get on the treadmill when the man she had been thinking about all night walked into the gym. He had his long hair pulled back into a ponytail looking very handsome taking her breath away again.

"Good morning," he couldn't help smiling when he saw her. He had been thinking about her too.

"Good morning," she said, feeling the butterflies start.

"Do you always work out this early?" he asked, not able to resist checking her out in the black tank top and matching tight shorts that showed off her figure.

"I try to workout in the mornings before Sami starts her day. Back in the day I did gymnastics and dance to make my mom happy so I started to work out with Hunter now its just part of my stress relief routine," she said, moving to a treadmill where she could continue talking to him while he started lifting weights. "It definitely helps me keep my cool when Sami decides to have a bad day."

"Kids can be very stressful," he said thinking of his own daughter and the stress she could cause.

"Do you have any kids?" she asked not remembering Hunter mentioning Taker having kids.

"I have a 13 year old daughter named Jessica. She lives with her mom. When she was younger I would see her all the time but over the last few years it's been more difficult with my travel schedule. She also gets in her teenage rebellious mood and doesn't want to see me. Thankfully she has a good relationship with my brother Kane and he can normally convince her to come visit," Taker said wishing things were different but no matter what he tried Jessica would argue with him when she was in a mood.

"So you were a young father like Hunter. He was 18 when he had Samantha. Samantha's mom passed away having her. Thankfully my parents were able to help Hunter out," Bella said remembering all Hunter had gone through being a single father especially after her parents passed away.

"I was 18 when I had Jessica. Her mom and I broke up before she was even born. It took a few years but her mom and I learned to get along and raise Jessica together peacefully. I kept hearing Hunter had a daughter. I thought she was younger. Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure what?"

"How old are you?"

"I'm 22," Bella said, seeing Taker's frown for a moment. His head started to fill with thoughts that he needed to stop thinking about her and not see her again except at the shows. He looked into her eyes seeing they were filled with concern as his heart took over and he knew he couldn't stop the draw he felt for her.

"Something wrong," she stopped her walking, staring at him.

"I didn't realize you were so young. Do you know how old I am?" he asked, putting down the weights coming towards her resting his hands on the treadmill.

"Hmmm 25 or 26?" she nervously started twirling her hair seeing a devilish smile across his lips.

"Sorry baby girl you're wrong I'm 31 much older than you."

"So age is just a number. You don't look or act like you're in your 30s," she said, holding his stare.

"Does that mean you would like to keep getting to know one another and become friends?" he asked, taking her by surprise. She felt her cheeks instantly turn red.

"Yes I would," she almost whispered, swallowing hard, feeling her legs wobble slightly at the thought of spending more time with him.

"I would like that too. I enjoy talking to you," he smiled. "Do you have plans later tonight?"

"No, Hunter is taking Samantha to see a movie and we don't head back home till tomorrow."

"Do you want to meet me in the bar around 7?" he asked hoping she would say yes.

"I would love to," she smiled trying to control her nerves.

"Ok let's finish working out then we will meet up tonight," he lightly touched her hand before going back to his work out. Bella took a few moments getting her nerves under control before looking over at him not believing she was going to spend more time with him.
