Ch 10

Bella felt her nerves still acting up as she made her way to her room. She hated the way her hands would shake off and on. She got off the elevator not noticing Undertaker down the hall about to enter his own room. He stopped seeing her and his heart ached. Undertaker let out a troubled sigh watching as Bella took out her key and dropped it. He saw her shaking as she picked it up and fumbled with it again.

"Damn it I have to talk to her," Taker whispered, rushing to her side.

"Hey stranger, need some help?" he asked, making her spin around and look at him with surprise. She tried to say something as tears started streaming down her face as she couldn't believe he was there. He let his heart take full control as he gathered her in his arms hugging her close. At first she tensed then she melted in his arms. "Bella, it's going to be alright. I'm sorry for earlier."

"Mark, it's ok I'm sorry too. I'm not used to us having disagreements. Us arguing has thrown me off and Vince's job offer has just made my mind more out of control. I'm not against Vince's idea. I can see on Hunter's face how much he wants me to do this. I don't want to let Hunter down. I'm so confused right now I hate feeling like this," she said as everything she was thinking started flooding out.

"You have to do what makes you happy," Undertaker said, taking the key and opening the door.

"I don't know if it will make me happy," she sadly sighed leaving his arms going into the room. She sank on the couch burying her face in her hands as she thought of the other big reason she was torn. She felt Taker sit down next to her. " Do you want me to work with you? Do you want me traveling with you pretending to be your wife?" she asked, uncovering her face.

"Do you want an honest answer?"

"Of course don't you dare sugar coat this we have a deal remember," she reminded him.

"Yes, I would love for you to work and travel with me," he said knowing it would be like a dream come true for him to spend so much time with her. He also knew more time with her meant it would be hard as hell to keep their feelings under control.

"You know it's going to make things harder for us being together more," she said exactly what he was thinking.

"Oh Bella I know. Tell me what you're most afraid of," he took her hand in his feeling she was still shaking.

"What if we can't control our feelings? You lost control tonight, you got jealous about Edge giving me his number."

"I didn't get jealous," he lied.

"Bullshit Mark, you weren't happy. I saw a side of you tonight I've never seen before. The greened eyed monster definitely was in control," she said, making him smirk.

"How did you know I was jealous?"

"The look on your face and the comments you made. You have never tried to rush off from me or push me to someone else. Did you really think I would want to have a drink with him?" she asked, searching his eyes.

"I didn't know what to think. I just couldn't control how I felt seeing him hitting on you. I'm sorry Bella," he squeezed her hand.

"I was touched you were jealous," she blushed. "You know I called you a fool because you should know I'm not interested in Edge."

"Who are you interested in?" he asked, making her turn even redder.

"I'm only interested in you Mark. I have been since the first time we met. You have become my best friend. I need you in my life," she softly said as tears came to her eyes. "I don't want to lose you. I really don't know what I would do without you."

"Hey stop, I'm not going anywhere. You need to erase the thoughts of losing me," he said, gathering her in his arms. "I want you in my life too so we will just have to figure things out."

"We really do need to talk about us," Bella softly said.

"We will but we are both exhausted right now. I think we need to get some rest then talk. How about tonight we just relax and watch a movie. I'm in no rush to get back to my room."

"I agree it is better to talk when not emotionally and physically exhausted. It's been a long day," she said, still shaking slightly from her nerves. "Can I ask you something?"

"You are allowed to ask me anything, remember?"

"This question may surprise you and you can say no. I will completely understand," she said, feeling her heart start to race.

"Bella, relax just ask," he rested his fingers under her chin tilting her face to look into her eyes. "What is the question?"

"Will you stay with me tonight? I don't want to be alone. I know we have been behaving since spending the night together before Christmas but I really need you tonight," she asked, taking him by surprise. They had been sticking to him going back to his room or her going back to hers lately. He wanted her to stay with him so many nights but he didn't push it. He was very happy she finally had asked him to stay with her again.

"Of course I'll stay, I can crash here on the sofa after the movie," he said, making her nervously smile.

"What if I was thinking of watching a movie in bed? What if I want to fall asleep in your arms?" she reached out, caressing his arms.

"Those are easy what ifs that can turn into reality," he stared into her blue eyes knowing he couldn't deny her anything he just wanted to make her happy.

"Come on you can pick the movie," she stood up motioning for him to follow her. He grabbed his bag giving into his heart not letting any of the thoughts of he shouldn't stay with her win. "Do you have everything you need or do you have to run to your room?" she asked as she turned on the lights going to her suitcase on the king size bed.

"Joys of traveling so much, everything I need is in this bag. Do you mind if I get a shower before we watch the movie?" he asked.

"Sure I'll just change real quick then the bathroom is yours," she grabbed some things out of her suitcase and disappeared into the bathroom. Undertaker sat down on the edge of the bed for a moment still not believing he was going to spend the night with her again and that she had asked him to stay with her. He grabbed the remote and started going through the channels till he heard her come back into the room. He couldn't take his eyes from her. She had changed into a pink tank top and matching shorts. She had pulled her long blonde hair into a ponytail.

"She looks so beautiful," he thought as she passed him, putting stuff back in her suitcase.

"All done, I'm going to grab some water. Do you want anything?" she said, trying to keep her own nerves under control.

"Water would be good. I'll be quick then we can watch a movie," he stood up going towards her, capturing her hand in his.

"Bella, are you sure you want me to stay?" he asked, searching her pretty eyes to see the answer before she even spoke.

"Yes, I need you tonight the only time my mind quiets is when I'm in your arms. I'm sorry if I'm being out of line but my anxiety is out of control and all I want is to feel safe. You're the only one that makes me feel safe," she whispered, trembling slightly.

"Never be sorry for needing me. I'll be right back babygirl," he kissed her forehead slowly letting her hand go. She felt her legs go weak as she watched him walk away. She grabbed the waters then laid down in the bed. She listened to the shower feeling her desire to join him take her over. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes trying to calm her thoughts. It wasn't long till she heard the bathroom door open and he stepped out. Her breath caught when she saw he was only wearing shorts. He gave her a sexy smile as he neared the bed.

"What movie should we watch?" he propped up some pillows before laying down next to her.

"I'm now picky and honestly probably going to end up falling asleep," she turned on her side resting her hand on his arm as he went through the list.

"Let's go with Titanic, ok?"

"Works for me," she said as he put on the movie and turned the lights off.

"Come here baby girl let's get you comfy," he moved his arm pulling her against him.

"You need to be comfy too?" she said resting her hand on his chest.

"I just need you in my arms. You're not the only one with an addiction," he smiled, running his fingers along her back.

"My addiction is going to get worse after getting spoiled again tonight by spending all night cuddled up with you," she said, laying her head against his chest hearing his soothing heartbeat.

"Well if you accept Vince's job offer we can do this more often since you will be my dark bride," he said in his deep scary Undertaker voice making her giggle.

"What other perks come with being your dark bride?" she asked, hearing him softly sigh knowing it wasn't the time to talk about the perks.

"Hmm we will have to discuss that once you decide if you're taking the job," he said, kissing her forehead. She looked up at him for a moment then laid her head back down on his chest. She felt her body relaxing against him. He closed his eyes enjoying the feelings coursing through him. It didn't take long till they both drifted off into sleep.

Undertaker slowly opened his eyes and smiled when he looked down seeing Bella sleeping peacefully on his chest. He ran his fingers slowly through her long hair, cherishing she was really there again and not a dream.

"Damn this feels amazing, I wish I could wake up with her every morning," he thought gently, pulling her closer. She slightly stirred running her fingers over his chest and stomach fueling his desire for her. He deeply sighed. "What am I going to do about you?" he thought knowing his jealous outburst was a sign of how much he loved her. "I wish you remembered saying you loved me and hearing I love you too," he thought to himself hoping soon he would be able to tell her what he was feeling.

"Good morning Mark," she sleepily said, lifting her head to look at him. "How did you sleep?"

"Baby girl, best sleep I've had in a very long time," he glanced at the clock. "Wow it's almost 9 and I can't remember the last time I slept for almost 8 hours. How about you?"

"I slept amazingly, no nightmares and don't think I tossed and turned."

"You didn't move off my chest."

"Thank you for staying," she ran her fingers over his muscular chest.

"You don't have to thank me," he took a deep breath, deciding to just say what he was thinking. "I wanted to spend the night with you so many times since the night we watched Christmas movies. I'm happy I finally got to stay with you again.."

"You don't know the countless times I wanted to ask you to stay but I didn't know if it was right to ask that of you again."

"So what changed last night that you asked?" he gave her a curious look.

"I couldn't fight it, I wanted you to stay so took the chance and asked," she softly said putting her head back on his chest. "Since we met you have become my peace when things get overwhelming. We don't even have to be together. Just hearing your voice makes me feel better. Do I sound crazy?"

"If you're crazy I'm crazy because you do the same for me," he wrapped both his arms around her. Her cell phone starting to ring made them both sigh. Mark grabbed her phone off the nightstand and handed it to her.

"Hey sis, do you want to meet Sami and me for breakfast in about an hour in the hotel restaurant?" Hunter asked.

"Sure," Bella hesitated for a moment looking at Mark. "Is it ok if Mark joins us?"

"Yeah that's fine. I think he may be on the same floor as you so he should be easy to track down," Hunter said, making Bella grin.

"I've already tracked him down," she patted Taker's chest. "I'll grab him and we will meet you in an hour."

"Ok see you guys soon," Hunter hung up as Bella tossed her phone on the nightstand.

"I really don't want to leave this bed but I want to take a shower before we head down," she slowly started to sit up, missing his warmth the moment she did. "I'll be back shortly," she left the bed and started to head to the bathroom when she stopped suddenly looking back at him.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing just wants to make sure you're really here and it's not a dream," she went back to him, kissing his cheek.

"Sounds like we both have the same dreams. Think we will have the us talk after breakfast," he whispered in her ear, giving her goosebumps.

"Ok handsome," she caressed his face kissing his cheek one more time before disappearing into the bathroom. Undertaker laid there thinking about what he was going to say to her later and hoping the conversation would go as he hoped and not turn into a disaster.

Hunter and Samantha arrived before Undertaker and Bella. They were seated at a table where Hunter could see the door. The moment they walked in Hunter noticed how much calmer and well rested Bella looked. He was expecting her to be a wreck. He had a gut feeling Taker was the reason she was doing better. Taker stayed close to her as they made their way to join Hunter.

"Good morning Aunt Bella and Taker, Dad said you had to talk to me about something. Is it good news?" Samantha asked secretly hoping her aunt and Taker were finally going to be more than friends. Her and Jessica had been talking about how great it would be if Bella and Taker were dating.

"Well not sure," Bella said sitting down across from her niece. "Mr. McMahon has offered me a job."

"Huh? What kind of job?" Samantha's face filled with curiosity.

"He wants her to be my valet, well actually my dark bride to piss off your Dad so him and I will end up in a feud. Crazy idea right?" Taker asked, sitting down next to Bella.

"No, I could see Aunt Bella with you as your bride. It would be a good story about my Dad trying to save my aunt from the lord of darkness," Samantha said, looking from Taker to Bella. "Also you like her and she likes you so it would work. Are you going to do it, Aunt Bella?"

"It would mean I would have to travel like your Dad at least for the next few months starting in June. I don't want to leave you like that," Bella said, staring at Samantha.

"I'm not a baby. I'll be fine. Could I travel with Dad and you instead of spending the summer with Uncle Bill? I only have a few weeks of school left" Samantha asked, making Hunter slightly upset that she wanted to travel now that Bella might be working the shows but she had no interest in doing it with Chyna and him.

"That is up to your Dad," Bella answered.

"I would like it if you spent your summer with us," Hunter responded, seeing the happy smile on his daughter's face.

"I think you should do it, Aunt Bella," Samantha said.

"What happens if the storyline goes longer than the summer?" Bella asked, feeling the guilt of leaving Samantha for too long.

"You guys could finally let me move to Florida to stay with Uncle Bill's family. I have so many more friends there and I could go to school there then you don't have to worry I'll be with family while you travel. Maybe you guys will finally start fixing up Grandma's and Grandpa's vacation home so we don't have to stay with Uncle Bill or in hotels when here," she said, hoping she could finally move away from Connecticut to Florida.

"She doesn't have a bad idea. We could definitely talk to Bill about it and we should start using Mom's and Dad's place," Hunter said, knowing Bill would let Samantha stay with his family. "Bella, you can take the job if you really don't like it. We can get Vince to write you out. We will make sure he agrees to a short contract. Taker, what do you think?"

"Vince will do whatever to get to see his idea play out. I don't think there is any harm in taking the chance. Hunter and I will be with you," Taker spoke his mind looking at Bella. She sat quietly thinking, looking at all of them then settled her gaze on Samantha.

"Aunt Bella try it. If I were you I would do it. I will be fine I promise," Samantha reached across the table taking her aunt's hand. "We can have a fun summer."

"Ok Sami, I'll try it. I'll take Vince's offer," Bella said, making Hunter jump up and hug her so tight. "Hey don't crush me," Bella laughed.

"I'm so happy. I was hoping you would accept. I promise you won't regret it," Hunter said, letting her go. "Well Taker looks like you're about to have success at finding your dark bride."

"I couldn't ask for a better dark bride," Taker grinned winking at Bella.

"Will Jessica be traveling with you at all this summer?" Samantha asked, hoping she would.

"I'm pretty sure she will. I'll ask her next time to talk to her," Taker said, hoping she would at least be with him for a few weeks during the summer.

"Is it ok if I call Vince and let him know you're going to do it?" Hunter asked knowing Vince would be happy to hear he was getting the storyline he wanted.

"Sure," Bella said, feeling her nerves stir hoping she was making the right decision.

"Bella, don't second guess. Everything will be fine," Taker leaned over whispering in her ear. Samantha watched their exchange wishing one day she would find what her aunt had with Undertaker.
