Ch 16
Bella had woken up early on their last day at the ranch before anyone else. She quietly got out of bed not wanting to wake Taker. She stopped for a minute looking at him sleeping peacefully still feeling she was living a dream waking up in his arms. She happily smiled, pulling on her robe heading out onto the balcony overlooking the backyard from their bedroom. She leaned against the rails looking at the pool thinking of how much fun the girls had been having the last few days swimming for hours, exploring the trails on horseback, and watching movies at night till they both fell asleep.
"This feels so right, I wish you were here Mom and Dad. I wish you could meet Mark and his family," she softly said as a tear ran down her cheek. "I miss you guys so much," she whispered.
"Good morning darling, are you ok?" Taker asked, wrapping his arms around her pulling her back against him.
"Yes, just missing my parents. They would have loved having your family here with Sami. My Dad would have talked your ear off about this place and all his plans for it," her voice filled with sadness.
"I wish I could have met them," he rested his head against hers. "Are there any plans that you would really like to do in your parents' memory?"
"My dad always wanted to build a playhouse for Samantha and he wanted to build another stable so could have more horses. The plans are still on his desk in the office downstairs for both of them. I think I'll have the contractor build the stable. I might even have the playhouse built for future little ones," she turned in his arms looking up in his eyes. "Do you like it here?"
" I love it here," he smiled, caressing her face. "I've always thought about buying a place like this but with being on the road so much it didn't make sense. I've looked at a few places over the years but never pulled the trigger."
"No rush on an answer. I know we just started dating but do you think you would like to call this our home one day? Eventually Samantha isn't going to need me as much and we can settle into this house," she softly asked, feeling very nervous.
"Bella, anywhere you are feels like home. Whether it's here, Florida, or another place as long as we are together it's home for me. After all these years, I just want to be with you building our life together. No more nerves about us. I don't want you to worry about rushing anything if it feels right just go with it. Remember always it's you and me together through whatever comes our way," he stared into her eyes, seeing the glistening of happy tears. "I love you darling," he wiped her tears away, kissing her deeply.
"I love you endlessly," she whispered against his lips. "What do you want to do today?"
"Hmmm I really want to spend all day in bed with you but we should go make breakfast. It won't be long before the girls are awake. Also remember my coworker is stopping by with his son to pick up my old golf clubs," he said with a sigh wishing they could just stay in bed.
"I didn't forget about Bob and his son Randy stopping by. Will you take a quick shower with me before we head downstairs?" she softly asked running her finger tips slowly along his chest stopping at the waistband of his shorts.
"Darling, of course I'll join you wouldn't want you to get lonely," he took her hand guiding her into the bathroom turning on the warm water.
" I'll try my best to behave so it really is quick," she winked at him, sliding his shorts to the floor undoing the sash of her robe letting it join his shorts.
"I don't like it when you behave," he said, giving her a sad look as she stepped into the shower letting the warm water caress her skin.
"I promise later I will make it up to you. I'll be as naughty as you like," she took his hand pulling him into the shower.
"I'm definitely going to hold you to that promise," he sighed trying to control his desire for her as the beads of water ran down her body. She ran the washcloth over her body as he watched with hungry eyes. "Maybe taking a shower with you when we're in a rush was a bad idea," he deeply sighed, staring into her eyes.
"Why sweetie?" she asked reaching around him to grab the shampoo.
"Why, I'll show you why," he smirked, taking her hand rubbing it against his hardness.
"Well so much for behaving," she smiled, kissing him deeply letting him silently know to be as naughty as he liked.
After horseback riding along the trails, Jessica and Samantha were lounging on one of the rafts floating around the pool while Kane was grilling burgers and hot dogs for lunch. Jessica noticed Samantha seemed like she wanted to ask her something but was holding back.
"You can ask whatever you're thinking I won't get mad. I promise," Jessica said watching Samantha let out a sigh of relief.
"Do you think your Dad and my aunt will get married soon?" Samantha asked Jessica.
"I hope so but who knows it took so long for them to start dating."
"Will you be ok having my aunt as your stepmom?"
"You ask really silly questions sometimes. Of course I'll be ok with her being my step mom. I adore your aunt. She not only makes my Dad happy but she always makes me feel like I'm part of your family. She is letting me decorate a bedroom here and one at the Florida house anyway I want."
"Well you all are part of our family now," Samantha smiled. "I don't feel that way about my Dad's girlfriend. I hope they don't get married. I don't want her as a step mom."
"Unfortunately you have no control over that. I don't like my step dad. I told my mom many times how I felt she still married him. I deal with him because my mom loves him and he makes her happy," Jessica deeply sighed, staring at Samantha. "I'll help you deal if your Dad marries Chyna."
"Thanks, does your Uncle Kane have anyone in his life? I've never seen him with anyone," Samantha asked looking over at Kane checking the burgers.
"He hasn't had much luck with love. He hasn't been in a serious relationship in a few years. He always tells me that he hasn't found the right one yet. I never understood the right one till I saw my Dad and Bella together," Jessica said as Samantha nodded in agreement. "I hope to find the …." Jessica was interrupted by yelling followed by a loud splash as someone jumped into the pool making the raft rock. Jessica was about to yell when she saw who caused the ruckus. She felt weird butterflies as the young man surfaced smiling at them.
"Sorry Sami, your aunt said I could jump in the pool. I didn't realize you and your friend were using it," he said looking at Samantha then his blue eyes settled on Jessica.
"It's ok, Randy this is Undertaker's daughter Jessica," Samantha introduced them.
"It's nice to meet you Jessica. Do you two mind if I stick around? Your aunt said I could hang out here and have lunch and dinner with you guys while my Dad runs errands. He will pick me back up tonight," Randy gave them both a charming smile.
"I don't care, do you Jesse?" Samantha nudged Jessica.
"I don't either," Jessica softly said.
"Thanks girls," Randy smiled one more time before disappearing back under the water starting to swim laps.
"Do you know him from going to the shows?" Jessica asked, trying to not stare at Randy every time he stopped for a moment and glanced at them with his mesmerizing blue eyes.
"Yes, I met him last year. I was surprised he acts like a jerk but he has always been nice to me. I have watched matches with him and he doesn't mind when I ask questions about the moves I see."
"Do you know how old he is?"
"He turned 19 back in April, why?"
"I was just curious," Jessica looked over at him knowing she shouldn't be curious about him. Her dad wouldn't approve of the age difference and her Dad still had moments he couldn't handle she was dating. She softly sighed laying back on the raft deciding it was best to not give into her curiosity about him.
"I'll be right back. Looks like your uncle needs some help," Samantha said, sliding off the raft as Kane tried to juggle plates while taking the food off the grill and putting more food on.
"Ok, if you need me just yell," Jessica said, closing her eyes. She relaxed listening to the splashing of the water as Randy kept swimming his laps. Suddenly she heard silence. She was about to open her eyes when she felt the raft start to shift. She opened her eyes surprised to see Randy next to her.
"Hey, did I wake you?" he asked.
"No, I was just relaxing," she softly said, raising her sunglasses. Randy felt his breath catch for a moment when he looked into her pretty green eyes. "Are you done doing laps?"
"Yeah for now. How come I never seen you around the shows with your Dad before?"
"I don't travel with my Dad too much. I live here in Texas with my mom. I try to go to the big shows like Wrestlemania. I'm also busy with school."
"I understand that. It wasn't always easy to go to the shows when I was in high school," Randy stretched out next to her. "So how old are you?"
"I'm 16," she said, trying to hide how nervous she was talking to him.
"I turned 19 back in April," he stared into her enchanting eyes for a moment. "Do you mind if I relax with you here till lunch is ready? Looks like Sami isn't coming back. You can tell me about your high school and I'll tell what mine was like," Randy motioned towards Samantha, still helping Kane.
"I don't mind," Jessica said as Randy got more comfortable next to her and started telling her about what his high school was like.
A few minutes later, Taker came out to the backyard to see if Kane needed any help. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Randy and Jessica deep in conversation as they floated around the pool. He frowned as Jessica kept laughing.
"What is wrong?" Bella came up behind him seeing how tense he was. He didn't say a word and nodded towards the pool. "Mark, they are just talking."
"Just talking is how you and I started," he said, glancing at her. "I don't want my daughter mixed up with Randy. I didn't think about them hanging out when we invited him to stay. He can be a troublemaker. He recently got a bad conduct discharge from the marines. He is looking to get into the wrestling business like his family. He is too old to date my daughter."
"Hon, I understand I know how hard her dating has been on you but they are not going out on a date. They are just hanging out talking and waiting for food. Do you really want to break up their conversation and upset Jessica? She looks like she is happy talking to him and Sami is busy helping Kane. He is only here for a few more hours then Bob will pick him up," Bella asked knowing all the times when she was a teenager Hunter would embarrass her by breaking up conversations with boys.
"I'll leave it alone for now but I see him around my daughter too much anytime down the line I'm going to have words with him."
"I won't say a word if that happens I promise. I just remember the embarrassment I used to feel when Hunter mistook an innocent conversation for more and would abruptly end it," she frowned for a moment thinking of how protective Hunter was when she was younger.
"Well thankfully for Jesse, you were here to stop me. I'll do the same when Sami starts showing interest in boys and you have moments like I'm having right now," Taker said, kissing her forehead.
"Oh I'll be the least of Sami's problems when she starts dating. Hunter is going to need to be sedated the first time she goes on a date or she even shows a romantic interest in a boy," Bella glanced over at Samantha laughing with Kane.
"Darling, you're going to be a mess too when that moment comes and I'll be there to go through it with you," he wrapped his arms tightly around her. "I'm looking very forward to what our future holds."
"Me too," she smiled, caressing his face. Her cell phone started ringing and she looked, seeing it was Hunter calling. "I guess he sensed we were talking about him," she smirked answering it.
"Hey Bella, I'm sorry about losing my temper on you and Sami about her not wanting to stay with Chyna. The pressure from work and Chyna wanting us to move in together is getting to me. Is Sami really ok? I talked to her this morning and she was short with me," Hunter's voice was filled with sadness as he spoke.
"Hunter, it's ok. Sami is having fun but I can tell she is worried about seeing you tomorrow. She thinks you are still mad at her," Bella said as Taker stayed close.
"Hopefully when she sees me tomorrow she will realize I was just having a bad night. I was hoping you could meet me at the arena at 2 instead of 4. Do you think you can do that?" Hunter asked as Bella looked at Taker.
"Mark, do you think we can be at the arena at 2?" she asked.
"Yes we can be there," Taker said wondering why Hunter wanted Bella there earlier.
"I'm sure you heard Mark, we will be there. Can I ask why I have to meet up earlier," she asked, making Taker smile how she thought like him.
"I want to show Vince what you have learned over the years helping Chyna and me train. Vince is thinking about having you take a hit in a few weeks and he seemed stunned when I told him you could handle it. Also Vince has another idea that I want to talk to you about in person."
"Ok Hunter, we will be there. I have to check on the girls. I'll talk to you tomorrow," Bella quickly made an excuse wanting to get off the phone.
"Bella, everything is going to be ok, just relax. You're going to be with Chyna. You have helped her practice a million times. It will be just like that except you'll be doing her moves and she will take the hits until you take a few," Hunter knew she was not happy.
"I will deal with it tomorrow," she said as Taker motioned for her to give him the phone. "I really need to go see what Sami and Jessica are up too. Mark wants to talk to you."
"Hunter, are you sure this is a good idea? Bella is kind of getting thrown right into this. First Vince has her right away start the storyline. Now you're throwing her into the ring to prove she can take a bump. Why are you rushing her?" Taker asked as Bella sank down on the sofa deep in thought.
"It's not me, it's Vince. I can't tell him no. He has these ideas and you know how he doesn't handle being told no very well."
"So you're going to keep kissing his ass and throwing Bella into the fire," Taker angrily shot back.
"Look, you don't understand you're already established in the business. I don't have time now to explain my reasons for why I'm doing this . I'll see you guys tomorrow," Hunter abruptly hung up the phone ending the conversation.
"Bella, you can say no. I'll talk to Vince tomorrow," Taker tossed her phone to the side going to her.
"I'm not causing issues. I'll do what Hunter wants this time but I'm going to have a talk with him about making decisions like this," she deeply sighed running her fingers through her hair.
"Are you sure darling? Have you really spent a lot of time helping them train?"
"As you have seen I have a very bad habit of doing what my brother wants so yes especially when he was helping Chyna start her career. I have spent hours with them training," she softly said realizing she really had an issue letting Hunter down. "I owe Hunter so much for stepping in after our parents passed away. I feel like I can not tell him no most of the time."
"Bella, it's ok to say no if something doesn't feel right. You're family, you don't owe him anything," Taker took her hand in his. "I'll be there with you tomorrow. Maybe tonight we can go over what Hunter has taught you."
"Hmmm I'll show you my moves anytime," she smiled, making him laugh. "Mark, let's just forget about tomorrow and enjoy the rest of our time here."
"Ok darling," he kissed her softly trying to give her what she wanted but deep down he was worried about what tomorrow would bring their way.
