Ch 17
Undertaker didn't like the moment they arrived at the arena in Philadelphia, Hunter ushered Bella off to get her ready and go over what he wanted her to do. Taker hated letting her go but she reassured him everything was going to be ok. He tried to stay busy doing his work out and attending a meeting about the show. He was heading to his locker room when he saw Kane coming his way.
"Hey, Vince just called Hunter, Chyna, and Bella to the ring. I'm curious to see how Bella does," Kane said as they went through the halls heading to the entry into the ring area.
"Me too, I'm worried she is going to get hurt but she says she has been helping those two years with training," Taker expressed his concern as they came through the curtain. His eyes were drawn right to Bella standing in the corner of the ring listening intently to Hunter.
"Let's get this going. Bella, I'm sure Hunter told you I'm thinking about having you take a hit at one of the upcoming shows. He said you can take the hit with no problem. He also mentioned he has already given you quite a bit of training since you have been helping Chyna run through her moves. Let's see a few moves then I want you to take a few hits from Chyna. It will help with future storyline ideas if you decided to stay around," Vince came to ringside talking to them.
"Taker, she will be ok," Kane said, patting his brother's shoulder as they joined Vince at ringside.
"I hope so," Taker softly said as Bella looked over at him. Her eyes filled with emotions as she winked at him trying to calm him.
"Come on Bella focus," Hunter tapped her shoulder making her look away from Taker. "Chyna, run her through the moves like we do at home."
"You ready Bella?" Chyna asked, coming close to her.
"As ready as I'm ever going to be," Bella responded, trying to ignore the painful aches in her stomach as her nerves tried to take full control.
"Just shut everything out and pretend we are doing this at one of our normal spots. I know you can do this. Let's show them what you can do, maybe down the line we will do this in a real match. We can have a rivalry," Chyna tried to encourage Bella, motioning for her to come at her. They immediately locked up and it didn't take long for Bella to break Chyna's hold, whipping her into the ropes. She clotheslined Chyna perfectly knocking her to the mat starting her adrenaline driving all the anxiety away. The two women went back and forth for minutes as Hunter called out moves and Bella did them almost perfectly.
"Wow Hunter has really taught her a lot," Kane said watching as Hunter told Chyna to go to the corner. Hunter went to Bella whispering in her ear. She nodded ok going to the opposite corner taking a deep breath.
"He definitely has. I wonder what she is up to now," Taker said, not taking his eyes off her as she did handsprings out of the corner hitting Chyna with the back elbow. "She wasn't kidding about taking gymnastics for years."
"I think she can handle herself in the ring," Kane smirked watching as Chyna started to stumble out.
"Bella, don't be afraid you can do it. You're my little sister if I can do it I know you can," Hunter urged her on as she watched Chyna come towards her.
"I can do this," Bella thought to herself knowing the last few times Hunter had her try the move she had messed up. She closed her eyes, pushing her fears away grabbing Chyna as she came close.
"Bella, you can do it," Chyna whispered as Bella positioned herself like Hunter had shown her before. She took another deep breath giving Chyna a pedigree.
"Yeah Bella!" Hunter exclaimed, clapping his hands.
"Good job Bella, now Chyna I want you to clothesline and ddt Bella," Vince said making Taker tense up. He watched protectively as Chyna whipped Bella into the ropes hitting her hard. Bella hit the mat staying still for a moment selling the hit before getting back up.
"You ready for this," Chyna asked.
"Yeah it's not like we haven't done this before," Bella said thinking of all the times she had taken hits from Chyna. Chyna nodded in agreement grabbing hold of her giving her a ddt. Bella felt the familiar sting staying still for a moment hoping that was it and Vince wouldn't want them to do anything else. She felt someone kneel down next to her. She opened her eyes seeing Taker next to her with a big smile on his face.
"You definitely have some moves darling. The lord of darkness approves," he smirked looking down into her eyes. "Are you ok?"
"Yes, do you think Vince is done with us?" she asked as Taker stood up taking her hand pulling her up.
"He is deep in conversation with Hunter right now," Taker motioned over to ringside where Vince and Hunter were huddled together whispering.
"Good job Bella," Kane said, coming into the ring joining them. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm ok, the stinging from the mat still gets me," she said, hoping the feeling in her back would go away quickly.
"You'll get used to it if you start having matches," Kane said as Vince and Hunter stopped talking. Vince stared at Taker, Kane and Bella for a moment before his eyes went wide.
"Oh no Vince is getting a brilliant idea," Taker said in a hush tone loud enough for only Kane and Bella to hear. "You ok Vince?"
"Yes, I just thought of another storyline after done with this storyline," Vince said, coming into the ring. "You three together could cause a lot of hell in the wrestling world down the line."
"One storyline at a time. We just started this one. Why do you need Bella to take a hit?" Taker asked.
"It's going to help progress the story of the Undertaker convincing Bella that her brother doesn't care about her as much as she thinks. The hit won't be for a few weeks still deciding who she is going to take a hit from. Tonight is just more backstage segments to build the story. Bella won't be going to ringside for a few more weeks," Vince filled them all in as Hunter came into the ring. "Hunter, will talk to you about the segment I want to do next week when we are near your hometown in Connecticut. I understand it may be difficult but it would mean a lot if you agree to it. When you're done here, they will go over with you what you have to do tonight. I have to run. I'll see you guys later," Vince left the ring leaving Bella staring down her brother seeing how nervous he was. She felt Taker move closer to her.
"What is Vince talking about?" she asked.
"I'm not going to beat around the bush, I'm just going to tell you. Next week he wants to shoot a segment at the cemetery where Mom and Dad are buried," Hunter said the last word and he instantly regretted it when Bella started shaking her head frantically no.
"What? Why there?" she asked as Taker wrapped his arm around her trying to calm her down.
"Hunter, that is a really twisted messed up idea," Taker said, keeping Bella close to him.
"He wants the Undertaker to surprise you while you're visiting their graves. I don't like the idea either but no matter what I say he thinks it's a great idea," Hunter deeply sighed. "Bella, I'm sorry."
"I can't do this," Bella threw her hands up in frustration. "That is too damn personal."
"I agree but what do you want me to do? He is the boss," Hunter glared at her wishing she would just cooperate.
"Tell him no," Bella quickly answered.
"It's not that easy," Hunter gave her a frustrated look knowing she wasn't going to change her mind. "I'll try to go talk him out of it."
"Please do, I'll talk to you later. I need to get some air," Bella looked at Taker as he nodded in agreement. Bella left the ring with Taker and Kane right behind her. Hunter sank down in one of the corners of the ring as Chyna tried to talk to him.
Undertaker was able to calm Bella down before she had to go run to go over her lines for the night and go to hair and makeup. He was on his way to go check on her when he heard Hunter's voice. He quietly made his way to the slightly cracked door of Hunter's locker room.
"Vince, she doesn't want to do it. She is very upset with me and I can't blame her. You're asking for too much making our real lives part of the storyline. There is nothing I can say that will convince her to agree with this. I know my sister," Hunter pleaded his case to Vince.
"What if we don't use that cemetery would she agree to go to another cemetery in the area just to do the segment. We will change your parents' names," Vince asked.
"I don't know I can ask her," Hunter sounded upset and defeated.
"Well Hunter, I suggest you do your very best to convince your sister to go along with the storyline or there will be trouble for you," Vince said and Taker heard Hunter hit something in frustration.
"What the hell. I can't control my sister nor do I want to. You have made me your pawn but I won't let you do the same to her. She isn't involved in what you are holding over my head," Hunter said, making Taker tense up.
"Oh I know she isn't but if you don't want her to find out what I know then I suggest you get her to go along with a different cemetery. I have to go let me know when you get her onboard," Vince coldly said.
"Fine whatever," Hunter snapped as Taker left the area before Vince came out. He hurried on his way trying to think of the best way to let Bella know Hunter was hiding something from her.
*Raw*
"Hey Deadman, I need to talk to you for a minute," Hunter called out to the Undertaker as he made his way down one of the hallways.
"What do you want?" Taker asked, sounding very annoyed.
"I heard you ran into my little sister Bella last week. She was shaken up after your encounter. She has it in her head that you might be thinking she is going to be your next sacrifice," Hunter said, making Taker smirk. "I assured her she has nothing to worry about, that you have no interest in her since we are in the corporate ministry together. You have no reason to go after my sister. I would appreciate it if you stay away from her tonight."
"Bella is going to be here tonight?" Taker asked, staring Hunter down.
"Yeah I forgot a bag at the hotel. She is doing me a favor and running it here. She is going to be around more often since my daughter will be on summer break from school soon. They will be able to come to more of the shows."
"You seem to ask her to do a lot of favors. You also seem to have no issues putting her in harm's way to benefit yourself. She has nothing to fear from me but from you that's a different story. I wonder if she realizes the game you're playing. You are just using her to get what you want," Taker firmly said glaring at Hunter.
"I'm not using my sister. She wants to help me. She had no issue trying to lure the Rock. You coming along messed up the plan."
"It was best for her sake that I'm the one she ran into. We will deal with the Rock and Austin without involving your sister, do you understand me?" Taker got in Hunter's face.
"Sure whatever. I'm not going to argue about Bella. Will you stay away from her tonight?"
"I do what I want. No one tells me who to stay away, boy," Taker poked Hunter in the chest. "Remember what I said, don't use your sister as bait or you'll answer to me not Vince or Shane." Taker gave Hunter a warning look before walking away leaving Hunter speechless running his hand nervously through his hair.
After a few matches, the camera cut to Bella walking into Hunter's locker room with his bag dropping it on the floor getting his attention as he talked to Shane and Chyna.
"Thanks Bella," Hunter said, going towards her. "I had a chat with Taker. You have nothing to worry about from him."
"Is he going to stay away from me?" she asked, making Hunter give her a shrug. "What does that mean?"
"You have to understand that he and I are in the ministry together. I'm not starting issues with him. He said no one tells him who to stay away from. I have to respect that. He isn't going to come after you so relax," Hunter said, trying to put Bella at ease.
"I hope you're right and I also hope if he does you will do something about it not talk more bullshit," she fired back at him.
"He won't, I promise please just trust me," Hunter put his arm around her.
"Fine Hunter, I'm going to head out. I'm tired I'll see you back at the hotel," she started to go but he held her back.
"Do you mind before you leave, can you go to catering and grab some food for Chyna and me? We haven't had time and we are still talking about strategy for my match tonight. I'm starving and you know how I get when I'm hungry. Can you please do me this one last favor tonight?" Hunter asked her.
"I'll be right back," Bella deeply sighed leaving the locker room.
"Stephanie would beat the hell out of me for asking so many favors," Shane said looking at Hunter.
"Bella always does what I say since our parents passed away she listens to me. She just wants what is best for our family."
"You boss her around way too much. I feel bad for her. Who knows one day she may tell you to go to hell," Chyna spoke up.
"Haha funny, that will never happen," Hunter laughed as the camera cut out.
After a match, the camera cut to Bella making up two plates of food. She dropped a spoon and when she stood up Undertaker was standing behind her. She felt his presence turning around looking up at him. She swallowed hard trying to hide her nerves.
"Are you doing another favor for Hunter?" he asked looking from her to the plates.
"He didn't have time to get food, he's been busy," she tried to defend her brother.
"Busy my ass he's been wandering around running his mouth. He said you asked him to talk to me about staying away from you, is that true?"
"Yes, I did."
"Next time you have a problem with me you come talk to me don't send your brother," he said moving closer to her.
"I have to go," she went to grab the plates and Undertaker stopped her, catching her hand. "Let me go," she went to pull away as he captured her other hand, not letting her move.
"I caught you again," he wickedly smirked. "I know I'm a problem for you because I see who you truly are. It scares you that you can't hide the pain, fear, sadness and loneliness running through your soul from me. You try very hard to stay strong and be an angel for your family. I sense you're getting weak and tired, you need someone to protect and take care of you for a change. You want to unleash all those emotions that have been building for years and stop hiding with smoke and mirrors," she stopped struggling to get free as tears came to her eyes and ran down her cheek. Undertaker let her one hand go, reaching out, wiping her tears away with a satisfied look on his face. "You're going to fall into darkness, pretty angel, it's only a matter of time. We will talk again soon," he let her go, backing away slowly keeping his eyes locked on hers as she trembled for a moment then took a deep breath grabbing the plates and headed on her way.
Right before the main event, the camera cut to the Undertaker watching Bella from the shadows of the hallway as she sat in Hunter's locker room waiting for him to return. She kept running her fingers through her long hair with a very troubled look on her face.
"Do you want us to kidnap Hunter's sister for you? Is she your next sacrifice?" Pallbearer asked appearing at the Undertaker's side.
"No one is to go near Bella," Undertaker angrily said, turning on Pallbearer. "Now I understand why my plan didn't work with Stephanie, it wasn't meant to be. Fate has brought Bella my way. She is different from the others. There will be no need to kidnap or force her in any way to join us. She is on the brink of falling and I will be there to welcome her into the darkness. She needs to see her brother's true colors to give her that final push. I will have a fallen angel as my bride," Taker let out an evil laugh as the camera faded out.
