Pokemon: Blood Curse!

Chapter 6: A Legendary Fate.

"Chichi, use Calm Mind!" With an arm outstretched and a hand directed to her pokemon, the girl trainer commanded with all seriousness on her face.

The second Mienshao closed her eyes, to focus her mind, light radiated from her body, and Torch's eyes squinted, for he knew he would have to up his game quicker than he expected. "Torch! Don't let Mienshao finish it! Use Blaze Kick!" The second the Blaziken heard Meigu order him, his blue eyes squinted a fraction and he leaped into the air with a spin of his frame.

Engulfed in a fire around one of his feet, down it came from above the opponent's head and knocked her out of her focus. Mienshao's head bobbed down from his kick, however, she reacted just in time and moved close to the ground to get around Torch.

"Chichi, use Drain Punch!" As if on cue, from the girl's demand, Mienshao cried out with a swift leap and pulled her glowing fist back.

"Use Bulk Up!" With Meigu's outstretched hand, his finger pointed at Torch who in turn, beefed himself up with a radiating red aura.

Torch's pokemon cry was soon cut short after he received a punch to his face. He was lucky to have used the said move, for the damage he took was almost little to none. From the impact he skidded backward to a slow halt and with both wrists blazed, he was fired up.

"Now, use Aura sphere!" The girl's order caused her pokemon to flail those elegant sleeves as she shot out energy spheres with each swipe and spin.

"Dodge it and use Focus Energy!" Meigu's hands soon clamped onto his hips after he demanded Torch and smirked, for he had a plan up his sleeve that would give him a for-sure win.

Left, right, back, a short jump into the air and back down, he took a moment to pump himself up with another burst of energy.

"Chichi, stay low to the ground and use High-Jump Kick just under Blaziken!" After the girl's order, she watched Mienshao nod and sprint real close to the surface as mentioned. Slithering from side to side to try and throw Torch's guard off, she was swift but...

"Now! Torch, use sky Uppercut as soon as she gets close!" With his own fist rising into the air, Meigu grinned triumphantly and saw how Torch crouched just so, with his fist soon flying past Mienshao's foot that soon lifted.

By just a few feathers Chichi missed his head and couldn't move as she saw Torch's fist fly. Under her chin, she soared skyward from his harsh uppercut and followed after her with a strong jump. Matsuo didn't even have to give a command this time, Blaziken spun himself around with fire engulfing his one foot and kicked his opponent in the head.

Harshly, she crashed, landing back in the arena with dust clouds spreading across the field; it was a Critical Hit for sure. The moment he landed back on his feet from his antics and saw the pokemon once the dust cleared, Mienshao was out cold.

Unconscious, a burn mark on top of her head, her sleeves were sprawled and laid flat on her back as though an elephant used its foot on her. "Return, Chichi!" From the girl in the distance, she rose her voice and used her pokeball to pull her pokemon back in. "You were amazing," A sweet smile and a loving voice, she quietly spoke before placing the sphere back into her pocket.

Soon enough Meigu and the trainer both met up in the center, with expectant, stern stares upon each other until... The buff man flashed her a bright, toothy smile and a thumbs up. "You did great! An improvement for sure- but keep training! Torch, Prince, and I will always be willing to spar," After moments of a short conversation between him and the girl, the blonde trainer soon left the field.

Marceline... A subtle but strong voice echoed, for Marce perked her head up assuming someone called out to her, and looked around. "Helloooo?" quietly asked no one in particular, those hazel eyes didn't even see Matsuo staring at her from afar confusedly.

Though the voice she heard sounded familiar, it belonged to no one around her, for only Meigu stood in the field alone with Prince and Torch who in turn- curiously watched her. "Okay... I know I heard someone that time. Why'd that voice almost sound like the ones I've her long ago?" Whispering to herself, not once did she look over at the buff man and his two poke'-friends.

Suddenly, a newfound determination filled her eyes before they moved to the others, and gave them a wave of her hand. The three made their way over moments later with questioning stares, curious as to why she spoke to herself but chose not to say anything.

"I'm going to leave, for now, okay? Thanks for the show, you guys were... Really great," quickly she rummaged through her pouches and offered his pokemon some potion sprays. Next, some water was placed in their hands, they didn't know what to do or say considering she was in such a hurry. "Sorry, but there's something I need to do. I guess... I'll see you guys later?" Guilt was what she felt at that moment, she knew it was rude of her to just up and leave like this, but there was something that she's been wanting to figure out since her childhood.

"S- Sure. What's wrong?" Meigu was worried about the girl who began to back away from the bench and pick up her things.

Her emotions... Worried, determined, curious about something? Prince couldn't help but keep his attention on her, as his thoughts swarmed like flies about her behavior. Orange eyes briefly connected to hazel ones before her next words were filled with lies.

"It's nothing. I just need to... Make sure I get some ingredients for dinner tonight," With a defensive wave of her hands, she quickly walked away and left the three confused and alone at the arena.

"Wait, it's not even close to that time yet!" Matsuo's strong hand lifted close to his mouth so he could yell across their distances, however, it all failed when she was completely out of earshot. One minute, two minutes, three, they stood there worriedly, and soon they all looked at each other questioningly. "Something doesn't feel right," As soon as he mentioned that, both Prince and Torch nodded to their trainer.

Suddenly, with a point of his Blaziken's clawed finger, Meigu knew exactly what he was saying and agreed completely. "Yeah, let's go," It was as though they read each others' minds, for they bolted after her not much later and tried to find her again.

Around a corner, he sprinted, while Blaziken jumped onto a building and leaped across rooftops. Prince, however, was faster than both of them since he raced far ahead of his trainer and hopped on top of a small street light. From light to light, he did the same as Torch and leaped.

~~~Marceline~~~
Where? Where is it? Where'd that voice go? Ever since I started hearing that voice when I was little, I wanted to know where it came from. Do you think that's why my mom kicked me out after I became an adult? Were they tired of me? Did I make them feel paranoid or was my... My counseling and other appointments becoming too pricey? Or... Did they just not care anymore, since there wasn't any mental healing progress? Her thoughts echoed, as countless questions piled on top of her head during her frantic search down a sidewalk.
Aimless, there was no particular direction she was heading except for randomly searching for the voice she's heard many times before. "Hey, I heard your voice, now where are you?" To herself, she asked and kept her attention on everything else around her, until, a flash of something small and pink disappeared around a distant tree top. "What was that?" her whispered question received no answers as she stared at that location for a couple of minutes.
With fists clenching, her eyes narrowing with that determination she felt, the thought of using her power to take a peek at the tree top weighed on her mind more than the caution she had for other citizens possibly passing by. However, it didn't stop her from checking to make sure and when she did, she concluded no one was around. "Alright... Playing hard to get only makes you that much more tempting," A huff of annoyance escaped her lips, that was until it hit her like a truck. "Oh wow, that didn't come out right, at all," beads of sweat trickled down her forehead, and was thankful that no one else heard.
Although, despite surveying the area for any possible citizens, Meigu and his two pokemon caught up to her the second she decided to hover an inch from the ground. They all stood there, mouths gaped with astonishment as she turned slightly to continue checking for any witnesses. Those once hazel eyes changed into black ones with purple rings around her pupils, the second she started to take off flying.
With a short burst of speed, she soared towards the tree top and made a small gust brush against the trio who watched her in awe. Never in their lives, have they witnessed a human being have any kind of power unless they were some sort of psychic trainer. "M- Marceline?" His mumbled words echoed, for he couldn't believe his eyes, not even his friends could find an understanding.
Closer and closer she flew, soon enough she reached the top and searched for any signs of the pink thing she saw. "Where did it go?" Concerned, with a slight panic, she began to think she was seeing and hearing things now. "After all those appointments, you'd think this crap would've stopped happening," It was difficult not to sigh after those words, so very slowly she hovered to the ground and landed softly. It was only for a moment that she used her power, so it didn't negatively affect her right away.
Marceline. Again, the voice echoed, which snapped her head up and made her peek over at a distant river surrounded by some more trees. Quickly she hurried, unaware that the trio followed behind her and soon enough called out her name.
"Miss Shade!" Meigu's voice was what stopped her from going any further, the realization that they followed her only brought to her more unease than relief.
"Matsuo? Why did you follow me?" she asked with a step back, she hoped they didn't see her use her power.
"Yeah, something felt weird about your behavior so I was worried. Most people usually don't bolt like that unless they're late for something. Are you okay?" His knitted brows and caring brown eyes were enough proof of how he felt. Even Torch and Prince were concerned, however, the shock of her having some sort of power showed more on their faces than anything else. "How did you fly like that? Are you a psychic like all of those psychic trainers?" His assumption was understandable, but Marceline nearly fell from his words if she hadn't caught her own footing in time.
"Y- Yeah... Let's go with that," As if on cue, her feet turned and she began to jump across small stones that peeked above the river's water.
"What do you mean by, 'let's go with that'?" this time, he too, hopped across the stones and so had his pokemon; despite the fact that they could literally jump over the wide river without needing to do that.
That wasn't normal human psychic power... It felt like I watched a pokemon fly, there is something strange about her. Prince, as he went across the stones and followed behind his trainer, spoke to Torch who was doing the same right next to him.
Yeah, she's strange- but interesting. Meigu and I both agreed that we'd uncover her mystery, so don't get too much in our way! Leave your wits to yourself. With an eye twitching, Torch replied through his pokemon language and leaped a few stones ahead, to get past Prince faster.
If Meigu started this investigation, I too, want to be a part of it. She caught my curiosity so, now, I want to know more about her. Prince's calm and reserved voice reached Blaziken's ears and couldn't help but hear him grumble with anger.
Around a corner of a tree, Marceline halted at the sight of an adorable pokemon. Small, pink, with innocent blue eyes, it was difficult to not blush over its cuteness. With a tilt of its head, as soon as its voice came out, Meigu behind the brunette mumbled out its name.
"It's Mew... What's Mew doing here?" he mumbled and watched as it inched closer to Marceline with a raise of its hand.
A soft, subtle tap to her forehead, those hazel eyes glued to Mew's as they stared for the longest time and ignored the trio behind her. Hello! I've been wanting to meet you for so long now! Excited, and childish, its voice was small and cute. She couldn't make out whether it was a boy or a girl. Its giggles were adorable, both hands in front of its mouth as it levitated there and gradually spun in a circle.
"H- Hi?" Down-right confused, never in her life did she think a Legendary pokemon would plan out a meeting like this and it certainly was weird.
I am Mew, I was sent here to meet with you and give you a message. It quickly returned to its straight-up position and patted the top of her head, albeit still giggling.
"W- Who... Told you to meet with me? A pokemon? A human?" the brunette tried her best to whisper so the three behind her wouldn't pick up on her words, however, she wasn't aware that they stepped closer and heard her answer.
A very special pokemon, yes! The message is- a moment's pause ensued the second it raised a hand and prolonged Marce's anticipation, for she gulped at the briefing it made. 'Do you want answers? Meet me in Johto, where no humans thrive and only pokemon survive; a mountain of life.' If you accept, I will fly you there! Your friends can come along too, as long as no secrets get leaked. Cheerful, it was, as it giggled once more and wiggled its tail happily.
Answers? Answers... For a long moment, she pondered, thinking about the whole thing, and glanced behind her to see the trio who- were very close. "Guys?" she mumbled to gain their awestruck attention, which seemed to have worked since they backed up a few feet and became flustered. "About... How I flew... I'll have to explain later, if you're... Not too scared of me," As soon as she spoke those last words, Meigu perked up with a fake offense and frowned. He could tell by the sound of her voice that she was afraid of so much as revealing her oddity and could tell there was some anxiety on her face.
"How could I be afraid of you?! You're cool! You can friggin' fly! After we ran into each other again, in the store, Torch and I both agreed to want to get to know you more. Take your time opening up though, we're in no hurry. So- we good?" His strong fist lifted for her to give him a fist bump, however, she remained hesitant and lingered her eyes on his knuckles.
"I"m... Cool?" Her hesitant question only caused Meigu to grin even brighter and for his pokemon to both nod, for they too believe she was worth getting to know. "I... I guess. Again, I'll explain to you later but right now..." another pause from her, this time she faced Mew and stared at its small frame questioningly. "Will I be back before sunset? Mel and Hornet will be worrying where I am," The worry she has over her friends back at home weighed heavily on her mind, yet, it soon eased the minute Mew nodded reassuringly.
Yes, there's no need to worry. I could simply teleport all of you there, but then you'll feel very queasy, won't you? Giggling and curling up in the air once more, it asked and kept its blue hues on her hazel ones.
"Alright, fine... Matsuo? Torch, Prince?" Again, Marce turned to face the trio and blinked, concerned for them as they've never flown not even once in their lives from a pokemon's power; she, however, has, considering her own power.
"Mew wants to fly us to Johto, to a mountain there. Want to come? It said, that a special pokemon was going to give me answers about something, Mew was delivering a message for them and is willing to help us get there," despite the confusion on their faces, she explained to them her conversation with the pokemon and absolutely astonished the two other mons.
She can understand pokemon? In unison, Torch and Prince questioned themselves, as slow recognition lit up their now red faces.
"Well, that's cool. Yeah, I don't really have any plans today besides that battle. Let's go then!" With a fist-pumped, he accepted and heard his pokemon do the same with their language.
Next, it was Mew's turn to give them a nod and soon its eyes lit up with psychic energy. They all rose into the air, taking to the sky with a squeal of Meigu's hilarious voice who just discovered... He was afraid of heights.
