It was another sunny day in the town of Juuban, but it wasn't a good morning. Usagi was racing down the street, running as fast as she could, looking very worried. Then as she came to an intersection, she happened to run past Mamoru, who was out for his morning jog.
"Yo! Usako!" Mamoru called. "I'm impressed to see you out and about like this. You out for a morning jog too?"
Usagi then screeched to a halt, and when she saw Mamoru, her worry immediately changed into joy as she rushed over to Mamoru, tackling him in a hug, burying her face into his chest.
"Oh, Mamoru! What a nice surprise to run into you like this~!" Usagi gushed lovingly. "It makes me feel so lucky.~"
Mamoru smiled as he embraced Usagi back. "Looks like you and I are bound by fate no matter what we do, huh, Usako?"
The two then gazed into each other's eyes and leaned in just about to kiss when they were rudely interrupted by Harusuke and Luna.
"Hey! Knock it off, you two, this isn't the time for kissy-face in public!" Harusuke snapped. "It's way too early in the morning this!"
"Harusuke's right, and you of all people should know that, Usagi!" Luna scolded crossly. "Have you forgotten what's going on?!"
Usagi then gasped, remembering. "Oh, right!" She looked at Mamoru. "We have a problem! Chibiusa's gone missing!"
Now Mamoru was concerned. "Was she kidnapped by that strange girl the other day?!" he asked.
"We don't think so," said Usagi. "The last time we saw her, she was in Usagi's bed, sleeping, but when we woke up, she wasn't there."
"We have to find her as soon as possible," said Luna. "We can't leave that little girl all by herself, considering that she's a target!"
"Then what are you doing standing around?! Let's go find her," said Harusuke.
And then four of them took off running in search of Chibiusa.
Close by at Juuban Park, at the playground, Chibiusa was sitting on the swings looking sad and alone with only her Luna-P ball for company. As she sat on the swing, he held the gold key that was around her neck in her hand as tears began to well up in her eyes.
At that moment, Mamoru, Usagi, Harusuke, and Luna arrived, and when they saw Chibiusa, they felt relieved, but at the same time, a little empathetic for seeing her so sad. So they all went over to her to see what was wrong.
"Chibiusa? What's the matter?" Usagi asked kindly. "Why'd you run off without telling anyone?"
"Yeah. We've all been worried about you," said Harusuke. "I mean, no one had any idea where you were."
Chibiusa hastily wiped the tears from her eyes and turned away. "Go away. Leave me alone!" she sniffed.
Mamoru then took a knee and spoke next. "Come now. Don't be sad," he said. "You want me to walk you home?"
Chibiusa then looked up at Mamoru, and when she saw his face, she couldn't help but relent as a tiny smile formed on her lips as she answered with a nod.
"Atta girl," smiled Mamoru as he held out his hand. "Then what do you say we get going?"
Chibiusa then took Mamoru's hand in earnest, and at that moment, just like their first encounter with Koan, Mamoru began to see the vision again. He could see the crystal buildings and the large one in the center, slowly zooming in at the top. Also, for some reason, Mamoru clung to Chibiusa close to him as he was in a strange trance.
Usagi and Harusuke were a bit worried.
"Mamoru? Are you okay?" asked Usagi.
"You look like you've seen a ghost or something," said Harusuke.
Mamoru returned to reality and looked at the Tsukino siblings with a smile. "Don't worry. I'm fine. Everything's good," reassured Mamoru.
Everyone was now walking home. Mamoru carried Chibiusa on his back through piggyback, and Usagi held Luna while Harusuke walked beside them. As they walked, Usagi couldn't help but feel a bit jealous seeing.
"Hey, Chibiusa. Get off of Mamoru already!" the odango blonde complained. "Mamo's carried you long enough."
Chibiusa stuck out her tongue, mocking her. "Whatever, and you need to stop calling me Chibiusa," she shot back. "After all, my name's Usagi."
"What are you mean?! I'm the only Usagi around here!" Usagi snapped indignantly. "And that nice guy who's been carrying you is my boyfriend, Mamo."
"No, he's not because Mamo's going to be my boyfriend," Chibiusa said snootily. "Not yours."
"You don't know what you're saying. Mamo loves only me, and we're deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeply in love with each other," Usagi spoke in a haughty tone. "So get this through your thick, pink skull, don't even try to flirt with him, you got it? It's a waste of effort, so you can stop clinging to him now."
"Come on, Usako. Let it go," soother Mamoru. "Chibiusa's just a kid who's lonely and wants some attention."
"And you're worried about a little girl like her stealing your man?" Harusuke said, rolling his eyes. "Please. Chibiusa's way too young to be thinking about boys. Besides, it sounds to me that you're acting a little jealous."
"Jealous?! Me?! Get real, Harusuke!" scoffed Usagi. "As if I'd get jealous over a rabbit!"
Chibiusa then frowned, particularly at Mamoru and Harusuke. "Hey, Mamo! You and Harusuke called me Chibiusa too!" she complained.
"And what's wrong with that?" chuckled Harusuke. "I came up with that nickname because I didn't want any confusion between the two of you, and it sounded so cute to me. Right, Mamoru?"
"Indeed," smiled Mamoru. "I think Chibiusa's a nice name. I like it. It is cute."
Chibiusa blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed but also flattered. "Then you two can call me Chibiusa," she grinned.
Then Mamoru and Harusuke noticed that Usagi was walking a bit faster ahead, her cheeks puffed up in a pout.
"U-Usako? What's wrong?" asked Mamoru.
"Oh, nothing. I didn't want to interrupt you three since you're all having such fun together," Usagi said, her voice soaked in sarcasm. "Don't mind me. Go ahead and have fun, and while you're at it, why don't you and Chibiusa get married, and Mamoru and Harusuke can be your concubines?"
Mamoru and Harusuke then ran, trying to catch up with Usagi.
"Hey, Usagi! Why are you so angry?!" called out Mamoru. "And where'd you even learn that word?!"
"Mamo~! We meet again,~" Usagi gushed with joy. "Another chance meeting by destiny~! I love it when this happens~."
But then, Mamoru suddenly pushed Usagi away from him, turning away. "Please stop it," he said firmly. "There's no reason for you to get so friendly with me."
Usagi was a bit puzzled, but she didn't overthink it. "Oh, sorry about that. We probably shouldn't be doing this out in public."
"That's not what I meant. It's more than that," Mamoru spoke, being even more firm. "I... I just don't feel that way about you anymore."
"What do you mean... by that?" Usagi asked, a hint of dread and confusion in her voice.
Mamoru then turned around and said six words that made Usagi frozen with shock and disbelief.
"It's over between you and me!"
At the Hikawa Shrine, Usagi met up with the others and told them what had happened. She felt miserable, and they were shocked.
"So Mamoru broke up with you?!" asked Rei incredulously.
"What in the world happened?!" asked Makoto.
"I have no idea," Usagi spoke quietly.
"I just can't understand it," said Harusuke, clenching his fists. "After everything that you two been through together, Mamoru just suddenly broke up with Usagi for no reason? It just doesn't make any sense."
"Well, there's no sense in worrying or feeling sad," said Minako. "He couldn't have meant it. He was probably just in a bad mood. So cheer up."
"She's right," agreed Makoto. "After all, you two are a couple whose love even transcends time."
"Well, if you want my opinion," said Ami. "Maybe Mamoru's forcing himself to say that for your sake, Usagi."
"What do you mean by that?" wondered Rei.
"Well, he cares a lot about her, so he wanted her to study some more rather than spend time with him," said Ami. "So he broke up with her to help her grades."
Everyone stared at Ami dubiously, like she just told everyone about her favorite type of fish, as the bluenette cheeks flushed with embarrassment.'
"Or... maybe not," Ami relented sheepishly.
"Regardless of the reason, I can't believe Mamoru would do something like that," Harusuke spoke crossly. "I oughta give him a piece of my mind!"
"Harusuke, please calm down," said Ami. "I understand that you're upset, but there's no reason for you to get angry anyway. Besides, if Mamoru didn't mean it, then you should let Usagi and Mamoru work it out."
"Yeah, but..." began Harusuke, about to protest.
Usagi then looked at her brother. "Harusuke, please. I understand you're worried about me, but the others are right," she said quietly. "So, please, don't worry about me. Okay?"
Harusuke stared at her sister. Then after a few seconds of silence, he answered with a grunt as well as a silent nod.
"In any case, don't worry about it, Usagi," soothed Rei. "It'll all work out. Mamoru truly loves you, and he'd never want to hurt you. You know that."
A tiny smile then tugged at Usagi's cheeks. "Thanks, Rei."
Harusuke, on the other hand, wasn't so sure, as he clenched his fists, somewhat fuming.
Mamoru was with Chibiusa at his apartment, busily helping her with her homework from school, which was math.
"Good job, Chibiusa. Now you're getting it," said Mamoru. "Since you'll be going to Shingo's school, you'll need to do lots of studying."
"I will," replied Chibiusa.
At that moment, Mamoru heard the doorbell ring. He then got up and answered the door to find that Usagi was standing there. As soon as he saw her, Mamoru bit back the urge to gasp in surprise and to hold her to make up for what he said but kept a neutral expression as he let her in.
"What are you doing here?" Mamoru asked coldly.
"About this afternoon, I... wanted to apologize," Usagi said quietly as she sadly smiled. "I guess... I was kind of in my own little world, so I must not have noticed that you were in such a bad mood."
"That wasn't it at all," said Mamoru. "I told you before; I don't have any feelings for you anymore."
"But Mamo... if this is about studying harder, I can do that," Usagi said. "I'll try hard to pass my grades, so..."
"Don't make me repeat myself," Mamoru said, raising his voice slightly. "I want this relationship to be over with."
Usagi felt hurt by Mamoru's words, but she stayed strong. However, she was getting close to breaking down as she spoke.
"Mamo...how can you expect me to believe that?" Usagi asked, her voice beginning to quiver. "After all, you're Prince Endymion, and I'm Princess Serenity. We've been in love since before we were born..."
At that moment, Mamoru finally snapped, punching his fist into the wall. "Well, I'm sick and tired of hearing that story!" he snapped angrily. "Just because all of that happened in the past doesn't mean I have to be with you now! I don't-"
Then when Mamoru looked up at Usagi during his rant, he stopped. Usagi's lips were in a smile, but her eyes were wavering and were about to overflow with tears as she looked down on the floor, taking notice of Chibiusa's shoes.
"Those are Chibiusa's. Which means she's probably inside," Usagi said, her voice cracking even more. "Does that mean... that you like Chibiusa more than me?"
"Don't be ridiculous," replied Mamoru.
"It's okay. I'm sorry, Mamo," Usagi continued as she desperately tried to hold her tears back. "I'm sorry that you had to put up with me for so long."
And before Mamoru could say anything else, Usagi turned on her heel and left, shutting the door quietly behind her.
Mamoru now felt terrible. "Usako... I'm so sorry..."
As he mentally apologized, Chibiusa stood behind him in the doorway of the hall, having to have seen and heard everything, feeling disturbed about what she heard and sorry for Usagi.
Usagi had left the apartment and was now wandering slowly along the streets, not caring where she ended up. Eventually, she stopped when she came to a phone booth. She walked inside of it and shut the door. At that moment, she couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She slowly sank to her knees while hugging herself and began to cry, her eyes overflowing with tears.
"Mon, I'm sorry," Usagi sobbed to herself. "I won't be able to bring Mamo home to visit me anymore."
She then continued to cry as she sat inside the phone booth, looking sad and alone.
Meanwhile, over at Cosmic Sundry, Berthier had succeeded in taking it over and was now ready to execute her plan into turning it into a dark point. She was now wearing a casual yellow dress and held a pink umbrella to shield herself from the sun.
"Are you there, Doird Atsugessho?" Berthier beckoned.
Then in the shadows by the corner of the store in an alleyway, a human-like shadow appeared.
"Yes, I'm here," the shadow said.
Berthier then smiled sweetly at her servant. "Now, listen, Atsugessho. I want you to work at this newly renovated store and sell my cosmetic products. It's my unique brand called Fancy Fukuwarai Series. It will turn even the plainest-looking girls into stunning beauties, but their faces will break out after several years, and their hair will turn gray. It will leave every last woman old and hideous, and by doing that, this area will no longer function as a Crystal Point. In fact, in the future, our energy will be in control of this place."
"That sounds like a lot of fun," the shadow smirked. "Just leave it to me, my lady."
The shadow then vanished, leaving Berthier alone. She then got out a huge stack of flyers that showed a fifty percent off sale on all products inside her store.
"This should bring in lots of customers," Berthier said to herself. "Time to go to work."
Then suddenly, there was a large gust of wind that was so strong it not only blew up Berthier's skirt but also carried all of her flyers away.
"Oh! What a nasty wind!" Berthier shrieked in surprise as she desperately tried to keep her skirt down.
The flyers blew all over town thanks to the wind. One just so happened to land just in front of a particular phone booth, where a blonde odango blonde was still crying in.
Harusuke and Luna were walking around the streets, looking around for Usagi. Harusuke was still feeling worried about Usagi after hearing about her getting dumped, so he decided to go to Mamoru's place anyway to see what was going on between the two. Naturally, Luna followed close behind, desperately trying to convince Harusuke to reconsider.
"Harusuke, come on. You shouldn't be getting involved with Usagi's problems," said Luna. "I thought we decided that there was nothing to worry about."
"That may be true, Luna, but I don't see it that way," said Harusuke firmly. "I can tell just by looking at her. Usagi's trying her best to keep her pain bottled up, and that's not good at all. I know because I've done it before. Besides, I only want to make sure if she's okay, and if Mamoru ever hurts her, I'm going to give him a beat down he won't soon forget."
Luna could only sigh as she followed the blonde boy. Then as they turned around the corner turning right, they saw Usagi, standing outside of Cosmic Sundry with a flyer in her hands.
"Hey, there she is," murmured Luna. "I wonder where she's going?"
Harusuke didn't answer, for he had noticed something. Usagi's eyes were red, puffy, and stained with tears as she walked by, not realizing that they were standing there. When he saw this, he could feel his heart skipping a beat with surprise as a small surge of adrenaline went through him.
"She's been crying," Harusuke thought. "Usagi's been crying... and not the kind where she's whining or being scared."
Usagi walked inside of the store, going straight to the counter where the clerk greeted her by there.
"Welcome," the store clerk said. "And how can I help you today?"
Usagi was about to say something, but her words died in her throat, still feeling miserable.
The clerk noticed this. "Oh my. Your face looks so sad. You've got some tears on your face," she said. Then she presented the odango blonde with four bottles of makeup and shampoo products before her. "The first thing you should do is cleanse your face with our facial wash. After that, use skin toner with lotion and finishing cream. Finally, add some blush on your cheeks one your skin's primed, and some fresh color to your lips."
Usagi suddenly snapped out of her sad state, taken aback. "Hold on. Are you trying to tell me that if I look prettier, then Mamo will like me again?" she asked. "Mamo's not going to say that he loves me just because I suddenly changed the way I look."
"Well, if you want a man to love you, you need to go even heavier on the makeup," the store clerk spoke snootily. "If you change your looks, I'm positive that your Mamo will tell you that he loves you. It's just how all men are."
Usagi was now cross. "You're wrong!" she burst out. "Mamo isn't like that! You don't know anything about him or men! And if you believe that way of thinking, then you must be stupid! I don't want any of your silly makeup!"
The odango blonde was about to storm away when the store clerk suddenly grabbed her wrist, preventing her from leaving as she glared venomously.
"You think that you could just walk away after talking to me like that?!" the store clerk hissed. "You came into this shop to put on makeup, and you are going to like it!"
"Hey! Let go of me!" cried Usagi as she tried to pull away. "I said I don't want to!"
The girls inside had seen and heard everything between the two and were unnerved, deciding to leave before things escalated. The store clerk noticed this and became even angrier with Usagi.
"Now, look what you did! You chased away all of my customers!" the store clerk snapped.
"And how is that my fault?!" Usagi snapped back. "You're the one trying to force me to wear makeup!"
The store clerk was now furious as she took out a powderpuff with her other hand. "You leave me with no choice!" she growled. "You will put on makeup whether you like it or not!"
She then applied the cosmetic puff all over her face at a fast and quick pace until she revealed her true face, which was Berthier's Droid, Atsugessho. She was like any other human, except that her face was pale, she had long green hair tied in a pigtail with a large puffer on end, as well as a strange gold cap on her head, and she wore a black-blue dress with arms-length gloves, green pantyhose, and black pumps. She also had a large red gem with an upside-down crescent black moon inside it. She practically looked like a walking, talking, a bottle of perfume.
"That's not an improvement!" Usagi shrieked with terror. "What are you?!"
Atsugessho didn't answer as she pulled her closer to her as she prepared to apply the powderpuff to Usagi's face. "Just keep still and put the makeup on!" she yelled.
At that moment, Harusuke and Luna burst through the door. Harusuke clenched his fist and swung, landing a punch square in the middle of Atsugessho's face causing her to fall back and crash into the walls of other products.
"Keep your claws off of my sister, you shallow, two-faced witch!" Harusuke snapped.
"Luna! Harusuke!" gasped Usagi. "What are-"
"No time to talk!" Luna cried. "Both of you! Transform now!"
Usagi nodded in response, and the two transformed.
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER MAKE UP!"
"SOLAR GUARDIAN POWER FLARE UP!"
Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi holds up the Crystal Star brooch as it opens, revealing the Silver Crystal inside. Usagi waved her hand on the Silver Crystal, and it flashed it a bright short burst of pink light emitting a chime. It does it a second time, and on the third, it shines brightly, enveloping Usagi in its glow. Usagi then holds the brooch above her head, suspending it in between her hands, drawing it to the center of her torso, flipping it once before placing it in the center of her chest. She then spins around a few times as the crystal begins to glow even brighter than before in pink light. She holds her hands up as a pair of wings spring forth from her back while pink ribbons come out from the crystal wrapping around Usagi's body, forming her leotard. The wings on her back disappeared as more pink ribbons wrapped around her arms and hands, creating white gloves and red boots around her calves and feet. As the blue skirt appears around her waist, one more pink ribbon ties at her back as she does a kind of spread-eagle motion with one leg up, a glowing moon symbol appearing on her forehead. Her tiara, earrings, choker, and ordango covers appear, and Usagi, now Sailor Moon, finishes with her signature pose.
Transformation sequence: Harusuke.
Harusuke's bracelet begins to glow as Harusuke holds it into the air. Next, the symbol of the sun starts to shine on Harusuke's head as golden yellow and silver light envelop his body. First, the sun appears above him, shining its light upon him. Then, while Harusuke bathed in its light, a silver jumpsuit with gold lines on his hips materializes around his body. After that, the light shone on his legs, and long golden metal boots that went up to his knees appeared on his legs with silver hexagon knee pads. Next, the light shone on his arms, and then golden gauntlets appeared on his hands going up to wrists. Then a yellow symbol of the sun materializes in front of him, and it crashes into his chest, making a golden chest piece of armor appear with silver shoulder guards. Finally, a silver helmet covers his head, exposing his hair and making it stand up with a mouth guard covering his mouth and nose. Finally, Harusuke's eyes open, and he strikes his signature pose the symbol of the sun appears behind him.
Atsugessho was able to pull herself out of the pile of products and looked around, feeling surprised for being punched but livid. Then she saw the two heroes standing before her.
"Who the hell are you two?!" Atsugessho demanded.
"I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and justice, Sailor Moon!" the odango guardian proclaimed.
"And I'm the knight with the brilliance of the sun, and the courage of the warrior, who also fights for love and justice, Solaris!" the golden hero said.
"How dare you take advantage of a girl's wish to be loved by a boy!" Sailor Moon scolded. "Trying to force her to buy cheap cosmetics is nothing short of unforgivable!"
"And to add to that, you also spoke of men who only like girls when they're putting on makeup! That's not only insulting but also furthest from the truth!" Solaris added crossly. "When a girl doesn't wear makeup, that is when her natural beauty shines through, and that's the kind of girl any man would want or should have!"
"And now, in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
"And in the name of the Sun, with my blinding rays, I'll scorch you!"
Atsugessho smirked. "Whoever you two are, now that you know our plan to destroy the future city, both of you are as good as dead, but first, you two need a makeover!"
She then opened her mouth autonomously and squeezed her puffer, unleashing a pink spray from it. Sailor Moon and Solaris immediately took cover from behind an aisle as the gunk splattered all over it. It immediately began to melt upon contact, much to Sailor Moon and Solaris' horror.
"I heard people say that makeup was like a drug, but I don't think they said anything about it being deadly!" Solaris cried.
The two then took off running, but then Sailor Moon accidentally stepped on a loose can and slipped right into Solaris, causing the two to crash right into a display of products. Seeing this, Atsugessho quickly closed the distance and raced towards them, but Luna jumped into the fray. With a fierce yowl, she pounced straight at the Droid with her claws extended, only to have Atsugessho whip out a huge puff slamming Luna with it knocking her out.
"No, Luna!" Solaris and Sailor Moon cried.
"And now, it's your turn," Atsugessho purred as she slowly walked towards them, her puffer at the ready.
Solaris bravely stood in front of Sailor Moon, ready to protect her, but then a rose suddenly came down from the air and hit the ground just between them. Everyone then looked up to see that Tuxedo Mask now stood from above by an open window.
"A young girl's complexion is youthful and fresh!" Tuxedo Mask spoke. "Heavy makeup does nothing but obscure it!"
"Silence, you!" Atsugessho snapped. "Greasy skin, acne, and roughness all demand makeup! Maybe you need a makeover!"
She then squeezed her puffer and fired a pink spray at the masked man in a tux, but Tuxedo Mask jumped out of the way just in time as he landed next to the two heroes. Atsugessho squeezed her puffer again and fired another blast. Solaris stepped in front and was about to use an attack to defend when Tuxedo Mask shot past him, taking out his baton and twirling it around at a fast speed. The pink spray got deflected by his cane and sent back to Atsugessho, splatting directly into her face making her scream out in pain, her skin hissing from the contents. Her eyes and nose were completely gone now, making her unable to see or smell anything.
Tuxedo Mask then looked back towards the two heroes. "Sailor Moon! Solaris! Finish her!"
Sailor Moon took out her Cutie Moon Rod while Solaris clenched his fist, charged power into his right hand, and took aim.
"MOON PRINCESS HALATION!"
"SOLARIS NOVA FLARE!"
Sailor Moon unleashed a blast of sparkles and light while Solaris released a powerful beam from his hand. The two attacks merged, creating a bright ray of gold and silver. The combined attack shot towards Atsugessho, who hurriedly tried to make eyes and a nose from her makeup, but it was too late. She was blasted into smithereens, leaving nothing left but a pile of turquoise ashes and the ruby on her forehead, which turned completely black.
Tuxedo Mask then turned to leave, but Sailor Moon stopped him.
"Tuxedo Mask, wait!" Sailor Moon said. "You... were lying when you said that you don't love me anymore, right? That's why you saved us."
"This was an entirely different matter," Tuxedo Mask said.
Sailor Moon bit her lip as her eyes began to well up in tears. "Then tell me, Mamo. Please tell me why you don't like me anymore?"
"I don't like weak women," Tuxedo Mask coldly spoke as he walked away. "Farewell."
He then jumped into the window and dropped through it, disappearing from view, but not before saying another silent apology.
"I'm sorry, Usako..."
Solaris stared at the window, not believing what he just heard, and looked back at Sailor Moon, who was still crying a little. Then Luna appeared.
"Sailor Moon! Solaris! There some people lying unconscious in the basement!" the black cat said. "We should try and get out of there."
But Sailor Moon didn't hear. At first, Luna was confused and was about to ask what was wrong, but Solaris raised his hand and looked at her shaking his head, silently telling her now wasn't a good time.
Sailor Moon gazed at the sunset, still feeling sad, but now she felt determined.
"I understand, Mamo," Sailor Moon thought. "I'll make myself stronger and win back your heart. Just you wait."
Mamoru made it back to his apartment safely, but he still felt awful for saying all those terrible things to Usagi, but he knew it was for her own good.
He opened the door to his apartment to find that an unexpected visitor was waiting for him. Standing in the middle of his room was Solaris.
"S-Solaris!" Mamoru gasped in surprise. "What are you-"
"Give me one good reason why shouldn't I punch your lights out right now," Solaris interrupted, his eyes glaring fiercely at him. "Where in the hell do you get off on talking to my sister like that?!"
Mamoru shut the door behind him and looked back at him, his eyes unwavering and cold. "Just as I said to her before, I don't like weak women, and I don't love her anymore."
"How can you say that after everything you and Usagi have been through?!" Solaris yelled. "First, you were talking about how you were desperately in love with her, and now all of a sudden, you start blowing her off saying hurtful things?! What the hell happened to you, Mamoru?! Do you have any idea how much you hurt her?! She was broken-hearted!"
Mamoru said nothing as he looked towards the floor.
"Well?! What do you have to say for yourself?!" Solaris went on yelling. "Was it to stroke your ego?! Make you feel like a big bad boy or something?! Was everything about loving Usagi just a big lie?! Say something damn you!"
Mamoru still didn't say anything as he bit his lip. Then, feeling angrier than ever, Solaris stomped over and raised his fist, ready to slug Mamoru in the face, but as he swung, he remembered Usagi's tear-stained face, which made him stop, his fist just inches away from Mamoru's face. He wanted to punch Mamoru so hard that he would bleed, but a little voice inside of him told him to stop, for it would make Usagi even worse than before.
The Guardian of Sun then slowly lowered his fist and then turned away, walking towards the balcony taking his leave. He had just reached the doorway before looking back at Mamoru, who hadn't moved from where he stood.
"You just committed one of the most horrible crimes in your life," Solaris spoke in a threatening tone. "You made my sister cry, and I will never forgive you for it, for breaking her heart and being nothing but a big, fat liar."
And with that, Solaris jumped off the balcony disappeared into the night, leaving Mamoru alone, standing there silent and trembling. As Mamoru stood in the aftermath of Solaris' outburst, a single tear trickled down his face as he felt even worse than before, for not only did he hurt one of the Tsukino's, now he hurt two.
At that same time, as Solaris left, the crack on his brace grew to an even large size as it sparked a little.
