Usagi and the others made it back to the Tsukino house. The ordango blonde, Luna, and the other girls were all in the living room watching the news on the TV. The black crystal that Prince Demande had planted earlier had now grown so large that it towered even the tallest buildings in Juuban, and as it kissed the sky, a dark vortex of clouds loomed above it, crackling with black thunder.

"The mysterious object that suddenly appeared in the middle of Tokyo has brought traffic to a standstill and completely shut down the metropolitan area," the news reporter said. "Those of you that are living in the surrounding area are advised to stay away. Until we're able to assess the danger, we will remain on high alert."

"This has become a terrible turn of events," said Luna. "At this rate, the entire town of Juuban will be corrupted with Dark Power."

"Do we have a plan in mind?" asked Makoto.

"First, we have to find out how powerful that giant Malefic Black Crystal is before we can do anything else," said Ami. "At least that way, we'll be able to come up with a countermeasure."

"So that means we'll have to wait for Artemis and Mamoru to come back," said Minako. "Hopefully, they'll be able to find something out."

"Until then, there's not much we can do except wait," sighed Rei.

The only one who didn't say a word was Usagi, who wasn't paying attention to anything as she stared at the floor. She still felt shaken up by the events that transpired the other day. She could remember how spiteful Chibiusa was acting and how Harusuke became corrupted to her evil will as Black Lady, which made her all the more worried as well as saddened.

Ikuko then came to the room, bringing tea for the girls on a tray. "All of these TV reports are starting to get me worried," she said as she began serving. "I'm starting to wonder if we should be evacuating like everyone else."

Usagi then looked up and noticed something. "Mom? What's that?" she asked.

Ikuko was puzzled, then she noticed the cup of tea in her hand, which wasn't just any other cup. It was a small pink one with a rabbit picture and Chibiusa's name. When she noticed this, Ikuko quickly did a headcount of the people in the room and was surprised.

"Oh dear, I brought an extra cup by mistake," said Ikuko. "But that is strange, though. Why did I need to bring this particular cup along with yours? Maybe I meant to bring one for Harusuke? But then why would he ever need to use a cup like this one?"

No one said a word. Ikuko then went back into the kitchen, leaving the pink cup sitting on the table. There was a long silence as everyone stared at Chibiusa's teacup until Luna finally spoke up.

"Most likely, with Luna-P gone, Chibiusa's memories got erased from everyone she had met," the black feline said.

"I suppose that deep down, they still remember her, despite everything," said Makoto.

Then, Usagi finally spoke. "Luna, do you think that I'm acting selfishly for missing Chibiusa?" she asked quietly.

Everyone else looked across to Usagi, not expecting such a question.

Usagi then explained. "I mean, now that she's gone, everything is back to how it's supposed to be. I should be happy now that I don't have her around to bug me, but this house feels empty. Not only that, but Harusuke's not around either. It just feels so..."

The blonde ordango bit her lip putting her face in her hands as she tried not to cry.

Rei wrapped her arms around Usagi in a hug and gently nuzzled her forehead against hers, smiling kindly. "It's going to be alright, Usagi," she reassured. "We'll work together to find a way to remove the evil from them and bring back the girl we love as well as your brother."

Usagi then smiled and nuzzled Rei back. "You're right," she whispered gratefully. "Thank you, Rei."

On the Planet Nemesis, inside of their base, Wiseman was all by himself, using his crystal ball to see into the future, feeling very pleased with himself, as he spoke in the manner of a cultist.

"O Nothingness. O Silence. Obey me. Swear your allegiance to the all-knowing, almighty Death Phantom!" Wiseman said. "Know that the one who will rule this universe is not Dimande, who dreams an ephemeral dream, but someone like Death Phantom, who possesses absolute power!"

And as if it was responding to his words, Wiseman's crystal ball began to shine in an ominous black glow, as a vision of a ghostly skeleton head with the mark of the Black Moon Clan.

"Oh, Foolish Prince Demande, you shall do my bidding and bring on silence and chaotic emptiness!" Wiseman continued. "And then bestow this devastation upon the true conqueror of this world, the Death Phantom! Purge the universe of all the impurities, like the living, so that only emptiness prevails everywhere!"

Then Wiseman sensed something. Someone was here in the room with him, and when he realized this, he immediately turned around.

"Who's there?!" Wiseman demanded.

But all he could see was the many pillars that led to the outside of the room. Wiseman's eyes then gleamed, for he knew that someone was hiding behind them and knew who it was.

Saphir was running down the hall as fast as he could. As it turned out, he was hiding behind a pillar in the room Wiseman was in, and he had overheard everything that the evil specter had said.

"It's just as I thought!" Saphir thought to himself. "He was using my brother the whole time! Curse you, Wiseman!"

Knowing all of this, Saphir then realized what he had to do. He had to put a stop to Wiseman's plan, and there was only one way he could do that. He quickly made his way down through the halls until he came to the room where the Malefic Black Crystal Reactor was. The crystal was glowing brightly, much to Saphir's disdain.

"This unnatural surge of energy is probably Wiseman's doing, no doubt," Saphir said to himself. "I've got to put a stop to this!"

He walked to the middle of the room as a piece of the tiled floor floated up, turning into a pyramid. With a wave of his hands, Saphir made the pyramid split in two, revealing a glowing holographic card inside of it. Saphir took the card into his hand, and when he did, the Malefic Black Crystal Reactor suddenly stopped glowing and generating energy, making the room go completely dark.

"That's better," Saphir said with relief. "I can't let the reactor go out of control, so I'll let it cool down a bit."

Then came trouble. Wiseman suddenly appeared in the room, catching Saphir by surprise, and he was not happy.

"Saphir, I order you to put that back, right now," Wiseman said in a calm but cold demeanor.

"You can't tell me what to do!" Saphir spoke back. "I'm going to speak to my brother first and then decide what's best."

"Death Phantom, ruler of the entire universe, is giving you this order," Wiseman spoke, losing patience. "Defying Death Phantom will result in your death."

"You mentioned him earlier!" Saphir said, still refusing to obey. "Who is this Death Phantom?!"

"He is the supreme god who will restore glorious silence and emptiness to the universe," Wiseman proclaimed. "In time, he will eliminate every last one of you filthy creatures."

Saphir was shocked at this declaration as well as a bit unnerved. "Just... who the hell are you, you bastard?!" he asked.

"It is not yet time to reveal that information," Wiseman answered. "For you will perish without knowing what you seek!"

Wiseman then gathered an immeasurable amount of power in his hands, creating a white energy ball, and unleashing a powerful blast of white. Saphir immediately protected himself using his energy to create a barrier shielding himself. But, unfortunately, Wiseman's attack was so strong that it had already begun to give way, and if he didn't do something, he wouldn't withstand it. Knowing that he didn't stand a chance against this mighty foe, Saphir quickly teleported, disappearing from the room.

Wiseman then ceased his attack. "So he got away, did he?" he said to himself, his eyes gleaming in the darkness. "No matter. I know exactly where he's going."

Back in the present, the evacuation was well underway in Downtown Juuban. The streets were filled with cars and people as they desperately tried to get out as fast as possible. The four Spectre Sisters, Koan, Berthier, Calaveras, and Petz, watched the chaos from the sidewalk.

"I've never seen anything like this before," Koan spoke to her sisters. "You think we should leave too?"

"Well, it looks like everyone else is," said Berthier. "It would probably be for the best."

"Yeah. We should pack up our shop and get out of here, too," agreed Calaveras. "I don't want to be around when the Dark Gate opens."

Petz also agreed, and she was just about to tell her sisters to start packing when she saw something in the corner of her eye. From the other side of the street, a man with a familiar crop of blue hair staggered his way into an alley while badly burned and injured. Upon seeing him, Petz couldn't help but gasp in shock while her heart seemed to stop.

"Is that..." Petz began to say before trailing off. "No, it can't be."

"Is something wrong, Petz?" asked Calaveras. "You look pale."

Petz didn't reply or answer his sister as she took off, running towards the alley as fast as her legs could carry her. Feeling confused and surprised, the rest of the sisters followed her, wondering what was happening.

Back in the present, a UFO, like the one Rubeus and the former Spectre Sisters used to ride in, was circling Juuban. Inside that UFO, Prince Demande, Black Lady, and Harusuke surveyed the Malefic Black Crystal growing below.

Prince Demande couldn't help but feel pleased as well as Black Lady.

"Everything is going as planned," said Black Lady. "The Dark Gate is coming along nicely."

"Very soon, the reactor will have reached its maximum energy output," Prince Demande smiled. "Then, if we're able to send it through..."

"...this world will disappear, and a new history will get written," Black Lady finished with a grin.

As they continued to watch, Prince Demande looked across to Harusuke, who just stood there silently like a statue, unmoving. He was now wearing an all-black uniform with purple trims.

"It's hard to believe that Solaris, one of Sailor Moon's Guardians, is now on our side," Prince Demande murmured. "But it does make me wonder if he's truly one of us now."

"Of course he is," said Black Lady. "When I took control of him, I infused this boy as much Dark Power as possible just as Wiseman had done for me. So there's no way that he would betray us." Then Black Lady had a thought as she stroked Harusuke's chin. "You know what? Solaris seems to be too pure since he now uses the power of the Malefic Black Crystal. So I think it's time he gets a new name. A name that truly represents his new self. Dark Nova."

"A fitting name," Prince Demande said. "Then Dark Nova, he shall be."

At that moment, Wiseman appeared. "Prince Demande. I'm afraid we may have a problem," said Wiseman. "It's Saphir! He's gone mad!"

Prince Demande was no longer smiling as he shot to his feet. "What do you mean?!" he demanded.

"He removed the control module from the reactor to stop it from working," explained Wiseman. "In doing so, he has betrayed us and all of our people! Therefore, we must get the module back and eliminate him at once!"

Prince Demande was alarmed. "That's ridiculous!" he objected. "Saphir would never do such a thing! There has to be a reason why he did what he did!"

"So, does that mean that you intend to cancel our long-awaited plan?" Wiseman asked. "The plan that you so carefully thought out for so long only to have it squandered by your brother?"

Black Lady then spoke up. "This is nonsense," she scoffed snootily. "Dark Nova and I will take it upon ourselves to retrieve the module for the reactor." She turned to Harusuke. "Dark Nova, you're with me."

"As you command, my lady," acknowledged Harusuke, bowing before his master.

Black Lady and Harusuke then disappeared from the room and Wiseman, leaving a still bewildered and shocked Prince Demande alone, unable to process what he had just heard.

"Saphir would never betray us, would he?" Prince Demande spoke to himself. "If so, then why?"

A younger Saphir and Prince Demande were on a grassy terrain back when they were growing up on Nemesis, inspecting a beautiful flower that had just blossomed.

"Look at this, Big Brother," said Saphir. "Isn't this flower beautiful yet unusual?"

"Yup. It sure is," smiled Demande. "With the harsh environment on Nemesis, finding a flower so full of life is almost a miracle." However, his smile soon vanished, changing into a look of determination. "We may have gotten chased away from the Earth, but one day, I will invade that planet and reclaim it for us, and we'll have a garden filled with flowers."

Saphir, filled with admiration, smiled. "Yeah! I'm sure that you'll get our earth back. I know you will!"

Then as Saphir and Demande smiled at each other, their little moment was cut short by the sound of a familiar voice.

"Come, my prince. Let us go."

Saphir immediately looked behind him, knowing who the voice was. Sure enough, Wiseman now stood before him, and much to his horror, his brother, was standing right to him.

"No, Brother! Stay away from him!" Saphir cried. "He's only using you for his ends! Can't you see that?!"

But Demande didn't answer Saphir, much less acknowledge him as the prince, along with Wiseman, began to disappear into the darkness, leaving Saphir alone as he continued to cry out to him.

"Brother! Brother! BROTHER!"

Saphir woke up with a start shooting up from where he lay, only to feel pain shoot through his body, forcing him to lay back down. After taking a second to regain himself, he soon realized that what he had experienced just now was a dream. Not only that, but he found himself lying on a bed inside a room, and his abdomen and his right shoulder wrapped in bandages, which meant that someone had been taking care of him.

"Where am I?" wondered Saphir as he looked around. "And who dressed my wounds?"

At that moment, the door opened, and Petz came in carrying a tray of food and some new dressings. When Saphir saw her, he was relieved to see a familiar face, but he was also a bit surprised.

"Petz? Is it you?" Saphir asked.

"Yes, it is, and I'm glad to see that you're awake, Saphir," said Petz, as she came over to his bedside, setting the tray down while sitting in a chair.

Saphir glanced around again. "Where am I?" he wondered.

"In my room," Petz replied. "I saw you walking in an alley from where we lived and saw you were hurt. You passed out, and then my sisters and I carried you back here."

"Oh, yes. I remember now," said Saphir. "I heard that you and your sisters decided to live in this world after you left the Black Moon Clan."

Petz then frowned. "I will accept any punishment you deem fitting for me," she said with remorse. "But, please, Saphir, you must forgive my three sisters. I will take full responsibility."

Saphir then smiled as he sat up. "You have nothing to worry about," he said. "I didn't come to this world to punish you or your sisters."

Petz then handed Saphir the bowl of food she had prepared. "Here you go. You got to get your strength back by having some to eat, you know."

Saphir took the bowl in earnest as he looked across to Petz. "You know, something seems different about you, Petz," he said. "I'm not quite sure what it is, but for some reason, I feel very relaxed and comfortable being with you now."

Petz's cheeks went pink. "Well, I suppose it's because I'm very content with myself now," she said shyly. "Me, along with my sisters, have come to learn true kindness from Sailor Moon and her friends. While there are some difficulties in this world compared with Nemesis, it's also filled with warmth and joy. We're so grateful to be liberated from all the evil from the Clan. I also like how the people living here always seem to care and trust one another. If I were to find the words for it, I'd say that it's truly a wonderful way to live."

Saphir sat there, taking in all of Petz's words, and began to think about the Black Moon Clan's quest for revenge and everything it stood for. And even though he had been a loyal servant and wanted revenge like everyone else, that began to change.

"Is what we're trying to do truly righteous? What kind of future are we trying to create?" Saphir wondered internally. "I never once questioned my reasons for revenge, but it was probably because of Wiseman manipulating us. Could it be that our way of thinking was wrong?"

Saphir then set the bowl of food aside and struggled to get up on his feet, wincing in pain from his wounds. He almost fell to the floor, but Petz caught him just before he fell.

"Saphir! Are you alright?" asked Petz worriedly.

"I need to leave right now," Saphir told Petz. "I must see my brother as soon as I can."

Petz then smiled mirthlessly. "It's just like you. Always putting Prince Demande before yourself," she said. "But you can't possibly leave. You're too badly injured."

"I have to! Saphir insisted. "Prince Demande needs to know about Wiseman's true intentions right away!"

Saphir struggled to try and get away from Petz, but then the woman clung to him tightly, refusing to let go of him. Saphir looked at Petz about to yell at her to let him go, but then he saw that tears were beginning to trickle down the woman's cheeks.

"I think I understand who gave you those injuries," Petz spoke quietly. "But if you go to Prince Demande in your condition, you won't be able to stand up to him, and you could... If something were to happen to you..."

"I'm sorry, Petz, but I have to go. I have to make him do the right thing," Saphir spoke gently. "If you were in my place, and one of your sisters was going down the wrong path, you wouldn't be able to turn away, would you?"

Petz could only stare into Saphir's eyes, sobbing quietly.

"That's why I have to go. Demande's all I have as a brother," Saphir went on. "Besides, there's no reason to worry. I'm just going to talk to him, and when it's over, I'll come back here. It'll be okay, Petz."

Petz knew that there was no talking Saphir out of this, so she had no choice but to let him go. "If that's what you have to do, then who am I to stop you?" she said while wiping her tears. "I'll be waiting for you to come back."

Outside of the room, Koan, Berthier, and Calaveras waited outside, wanting to give Petz and Saphir their space. The three sisters had been watching Petz take care of Saphir all the while, and Koan and Berthier couldn't help but be puzzled by how Petz was acting.

"I still can't believe it," said Koan. "I thought Petz hated all men, and here she is tending to Saphir."

"Never mind that," said Berthier. "What I want to know is that should we leave while he's still weak. What if he decides to punish us for turning our backs to the Black Moon Clan?"

"I think we're going to be fine," said Calaveras. "Right now, I think we should leave them alone for a while."

"And why should we do that?" asked Berthier. "Do you know something that we don't, Calaveras?"

Calaveras looked at her sisters, her face filled with pity for Petz. "You may not believe this, but Petz used to be in love with Saphir not so long ago."

Koan and Berthier were surprised, but before they could ask anything more, Saphir exited the room while putting on his buttondown. Then as he headed towards the front door, he looked back at the other sisters and gave them a kind-hearted smile.

"I appreciate you all taking care of me while I was unconscious," Saphir said. "I'll be taking my leave now."

"But, hold on a minute," said Calaveras. "Where are you going, Saphir? Shouldn't you be resting?"

"I have no time to rest. There's something I have to do," Saphir said. "But, before I go, I want you three to know that you three are lucky to have someone like Petz as a sister. She cares about all of you more than anything."

Saphir then exited the room, leaving. The three sisters then went back into Petz's room to check on her, only to see their sister standing outside on the balcony, holding Saphir's jacket in her hands, her face filled with sorrow.

"Why would Petz let Saphir go like that?!" Koan wondered. "He was badly injured!"

"Maybe we should follow him and be his backup," asked Berthier.

"How? There's nothing we can do to help," Calaveras said bitterly. "You forget that we lost all of our powers when we decided to reform. I'm afraid we'd just get in the way. All we can do is wait and hope that Saphir returns to us safely."

Koan and Berthier didn't say anything, knowing that Calaveras was right. But then, Koan's eyes happened to fall upon the phone. When she did, she knew what to do. She and her sisters couldn't do anything about the situation, but she knew someone that could.

Saphir staggered his way towards the large Malefic Black Crystal in the middle of Downtown, determined to get there at any cost. He was limping and barely had the strength to walk, let alone stand, but he kept going until he was in the middle of town. However, his troubles were far from over. Black Lady appeared when he came out of an alley, hovering just above him, and Harusuke stepped out from seemingly nowhere.

"How nice of you to show up, Saphir," said Black Lady. "Saves us the trouble of having to track you down."

"Don't interfere, Black Lady!" Saphir spoke bravely. "I have business with my brother!"

"That's too bad," smirked Black Lady. "Sorry to say, you're going to be dead before you get the chance to see him."

Luna-P appeared in Black Lady's hand, and Harusuke took a fighting stance as they both prepared to kill Saphir, while he, despite his injuries, was ready to fight for his life, seeing no way out. But then, a voice called out.

"Hold it right there, Chibiusa! You and Harusuke are not to make another move to try and hurt him!"

Everyone then stopped, and to their right, Sailor Moon and the other guardians arrived on the scene.

"Sailor Moon?" gasped Saphir.

"So you're here, too," Black Lady huffed in annoyance. "How trifling."

"Please, Chibiusa! Can't you and Harusuke see that you're both brainwashed?!" begged Sailor Moon. "Snap out of it!"

Black Lady then laughed. "I don't know what you mean. I'm doing this out of my own free will, and Harusuke is my loyal servant."

"Yes, you are!" Sailor Moon continued. "Why can't you see that?! So stop this right now, and let Harusuke go!"

Now Black Lady was angry. "Enough!" she snapped as she transformed Luna-P into a mirror. "Now, Dark Nova! Attack those annoying pests and kill them all!"

Harusuke then faced the guardians and held up his right fist, exposing his blackened prism.

"No, Harusuke, don't do it!" Sailor Mars begged. "We're not your enemies!"

"You've got to try and break free from the evil power possessing you!" Sailor Jupiter said. "Fight it!"

"I do not know who this Harusuke is, but I am Dark Nova," said Harusuke, his eyes shimmering with violet light. "You are my lady's enemies. Therefore, I shall do as she commands by eliminating those who defy her!"

Harusuke then raised his fist as his prism glowed brightly. "MALEFIC SOLAR POWER! DARKNESS CONSUME!"

Transformation sequence: Harusuke

Harusuke's body is enveloped in an evil black light, cloaking his entire body as the symbol of the Black Moon Clan glows in the middle of his forehead, while his Solar Prism turns into a dark shade of black, glowing violet. Multiple streams of black energy begin to encircle his body, whipping all around him. Two of them bind his feet tightly and transform into his boots that were colored black with violet knee caps. Dark purple lines run along his sides as two more tendrils of black energy bound his wrists, transforming into gloves. Next, three tendrils wrap around his center, two around his shoulders and one around his midsection, making him wince in pain as the energy spreads throughout, creating his chest piece of armor that bore a violet symbol of Solaris. Finally, one final tendril encircles and wraps around his face, morphing into his helmet. Harusuke's eyes open, now glowing in a violet hue, and he lets out a mighty scream as his body explodes in a powerful aura, striking a power-up pose, his symbol along with the Black Moon Clan's overlapping in the background amongst flickering violet flames.

Black Lady then unleashed a powerful blast of Dark Power from her mirror, aiming straight at Sailor Moon. Reacting quickly, Sailor Jupiter and Mercury tackled Sailor Moon to the ground making the attack miss her, while Sailor Venus and Mars dodged. Sailor Venus then attacked.

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM!"

The guardian unleashed her signature move at Black Lady, only for Dark Nova to appear in front of her and block the attack with his hand. Then he countered with one of his own.

"MALEFIC CRESCENT BEAM!"

Dark Nova attacked, firing a black and yellow beam at Sailor Venus, hitting her and blowing her away. Sailor Mercury then leaped into the fray.

"MERCURY BUBBLE SPRAY!"

Thick fog blanketed the area, obscuring Black Lady and Dark Nova's vision, catching them both by surprise.

Saphir stood there in disbelief as he watched the Guardians defend him. Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter then appeared, ensuring he was safe from harm.

"Saphir! Now's your chance!" said Sailor Mars. "Go talk to your brother while they're distracted!"

"But I don't understand. Why are you protecting me?" Saphir asked. "And how did you know where I was or what I was doing?"

"Well, to be honest, we don't know exactly the exact details as to why you're here," Sailor Jupiter spoke. "But Koan and the Spectre Sisters asked us to help you."

Saphir couldn't help but feel appalled. "But that's foolish and insane!" he scolded incredulously. "Surely, you realized that you could have been walking into a trap!"

Sailor Mars looked back with a grin. "Perhaps, but it's just something that came naturally to us," she said. "It's just a habit we picked up from being around our clumsy and caring leader."

"We tend to trust people, even if they're our enemies," winked Sailor Jupiter. "And the most trusting of us all is Sailor Moon."

Saphir could only stare in silence, unsure what to make of this. Black Lady then turned Luna-P into a massive fan, and with a mighty wave of it, she was able to blow away Sailor Mercury's fog in a matter of seconds.

Sailor Moon then took out her brooch, opening it, exposing the Silver Crystal inside, intent on using its powers to reform again. "Chibiusa! Harusuke! Go back to your true selves!" she yelled. "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!"

Her crystal unleashed a powerful pink beam of healing light, but Black Lady countered, turning Luna-P into an umbrella, and used it to block and deflect the beam harmlessly away. Then Black Lady transformed Luna-P into a racket and a shuttlecock.

"Nice try, but it's not going to work on me a second time!" Black Lady cackled. "Now, take this!"

With a mighty swing of her racket, she launched the shuttlecock straight at Sailors Moon, Mercury, and Venus.

"VENUS LOVE-ME-"

Sailor Venus was about to use her Love-Me Chain to counter, but the shuttlecock suddenly stopped in midair, catching her by surprise. Then without warning, the shuttlecock's feathers opened like a petal, and a dome-like barrier encircled the three, trapping them inside.

"Now, Dark Nova!" ordered Black Lady.

Dark Nova crossed his arms, pinkies and index fingers extended, and a wave of his hands unleashed a powerful stream of black and green lightning.

"MALEFIC SUPREME THUNDER!"

The attack electrified the barrier, shocking the three guardians inside, screaming in pain. Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter were horrified, knowing they needed help, but they couldn't help but hesitate, knowing they also had to protect Saphir.

Saphir could see that he was holding the Guardians back and could also sense that a certain someone had arrived as well. "You needn't worry about me anymore," he told Mars and Jupiter. "Go help your friends."

"But what about you?!" asked Sailor Mars.

"Your task was to get me safely to my brother by the Spectre Sisters," said Saphir. "And you have accomplished that. Now, hurry and save them. Quickly"

Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mars were confused, but then Saphir looked up, and sure enough, hovering just above them was Prince Demande, his gaze solely fixated on Saphir. Two Guardians then left to help their friends while Saphir bravely walked up to his brother until he was within distance to hear him.

"Saphir, why have you betrayed me?!" demanded Demande.

"I've done no such thing, Brother!" Saphir protested. "Wiseman has been deceiving us the whole time!"

"Stop talking nonsense! You're wrong!" Prince Demande said, scowling. "But if anyone, even you, dares interfere with my plans-"

"Brother! Wiseman's the one who came up with this plan, not you!" Saphir burst out, interrupting. "He's just using you for his ends, as I've been trying to tell you! Try and think about this! Was this really what you and I wanted to achieve? What we've been fighting for?! Please, Brother!"

Prince Demande was now hesitant, unsure of what to believe in now. He didn't know if Saphir was telling the truth or just lying to save his skin.

Back in the fight, Black Lady and Dark Nova now had all the guardians at their mercy, using their powers to torture them painfully. Black Lady then looked back at Prince Demande, seeing him hesitate to kill Saphir.

"What an annoying fellow," Black Lady sighed. "All this dramatic nonsense is making me gag. Just die already."

She summoned forth another shuttlecock and prepared to launch it, but then a rose shot it out of her hand, piercing the trunk of a tree. At the same time, three more shot down the other two shuttlecocks, breaking the barrier and setting Sailor Moon and the others free, and the third shot toward Dark Nova, who stepped out of the way to dodge while ceasing his attack.

Black Lady scowled, knowing who the roses belonged to, and sure enough, Tuxedo Mask stood on the other side of the street.

"Not you again!" she hissed crossly.

"Harusuke, Chibiusa, you have to stop this!" Tuxedo Mask said. He then looked up. "Prince Demande, you must listen to Saphir! He knows about something about the future that you're unaware of, so please listen to what he has to say!"

Prince Demande pondered while looking across to Tuxedo Mask. Then he looked at Saphir.

"Very well, then. I will hear you out, Saphir. What happened in the future?"

Saphir was just about to explain when suddenly, a powerful, intense white beam of light came shooting from nowhere, striking Saphir with its power. Saphir screamed in pain as his body was scorched by the attack, falling to his knees in agony.

Demande was shocked and looked back to where the attack came from in time to see Wiseman appear.

"Wiseman! What is the meaning of this?!" demanded Prince Demande, clearly alarmed as well as angered.

"Saphir is a traitor!" Wiseman said coldly. "Therefore, since you refuse to execute him, I'm sparing you the trouble by doing it myself!"

Saphir, who miraculously was still alive, struggled to his feet, knowing full well that his body couldn't take another hit from Wiseman. If he didn't tell Demande the truth now, he would suffer the same fate.

"Brother! Please listen!" Saphir weakly yelled. "Wiseman intends to erase the future! His goal is to-!"

But Saphir would never get the chance to finish his sentence as Wiseman prepared to unleash one last attack.

"No! Wiseman, stop!" Prince Demande yelled out. "Don't do it!"

But Wiseman didn't listen as he unleashed another mighty blast of white light from his hands, hitting his target. Saphir shrieked as his body was burned and scorched beyond repair. The attack then ceased, the damage done. Saphir sat on his knees motionless for a few seconds and finally, unable to remain standing anyone, crumpled to the ground on his side.

"SAPHIR! ! ! !" Prince Demande yelled despair.

Wiseman then waved his hand, and the control module that Saphir took came out from his pocket, floating over to his hands.

"What a fool are you, Saphir," Wiseman scoffed scornfully. "He allowed himself to get tricked by those Sailor Guardians into spouting nonsense, which is why his death is befitting for someone like him."

"You monster!" Sailor Moon shrieked angrily. "How could do you do that to him?!"

But Wiseman ignored Sailor Moon. "Demande, Black Lady, come. We will settle our score with those girls another day."

"Fine by me," said Black Lady. "Dark Nova, come."

"Understood, my lady," said Dark Nova.

The three then disappeared, leaving Prince Demande, still in shock for what had just happened. Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon rushed over to Saphir, hoping to help him.

"I'm so sorry," apologized Tuxedo Mask. "I couldn't protect him."

Saphir then whispered. "I'm sorry, Petz... Please forgive me..."

Then his body went limp after taking his last and final breath.

"Saphir, no! You can't die!" cried Sailor Moon, her eyes filling with tears. "What about Petz?! You can't leave her all alone! Saphir, wake up!"

But it was no use. Prince Demande then touched down on the ground walking over to them. Without anything saying anything to Sailor Moon or Tuxedo Mask, he lifted his brother's corpse into his arms as his lip trembled from sorrow, biting back a sob. His sorrowful expression then turned into a scowl of anger, uttering one single word, his voice filled with hate for his brother's tragic fate.

"Wiseman..."

Prince Demande stood back up and, while taking Saphir's body with him, disappeared into the air, leaving Sailor Moon and the others behind.

Back in her room, Petz was sitting on her bed, still clutching to Saphir's jacket in her arms. Then, it began to glow in a strange light as it faded away. Eventually, it disappeared completely, and that was when Petz knew that Saphir wouldn't be coming back. Calaveras and her sisters then entered the room, having to have seen what happened.

"We're sorry, Petz," apologized Calaveras.

Petz then stood up, walking over to the doorway of the balcony, staring up at the sky. "It's all right," she spoke quietly. "Somehow, I knew that this would happen from the moment I let him go."

Koan, Berthier, and Calaveras didn't know what else to say to their sister, staying silent. As Petz stood there, staring up at the sky from behind the balcony window, she said a silent goodbye to the one she loved.

"I will never forget you, Saphir. You will always live on in my heart, especially your smile."
