Another day came and went in Juuban. Usagi was running down the streets as fast as she could. After Saphir died the other day, the Guardians and Tuxedo Mask had no choice but to retreat, seeing that they could do nothing. They then made a plan to meet at the Hikawa Shrine and launch an assault on the Malefic Black Crystal once they were well-rested and ready for battle the next day.

As she dashed along, heading for home, Usagi couldn't help but look back towards the Malefic Black Crystal, which at this point had grown to an even bigger size than before, which made her stop and stare as she began to worry.

"The Malefic Black Crystal's grown so big," Usagi thought. "We have to do something and fast."

"Usagi?"

The ordango blonde turned around and saw Naru, whom she hadn't seen in quite some time.

"Usagi, is something wrong?" Naru asked. "You look worried. And you've been acting very strangely." She looked up at the Malefic Black Crystal. "Could it have something to do with that weird phenomenon going on in Downtown?"

Usagi gulped, not expecting such a question. Naru then began to understand.

"I knew it! You know what that's all about, don't you?" Naru went on, getting worried. "And where's Harusuke? I haven't seen him in a while. Is he in trouble? Usagi, if there's anything I can do to help out, just ask."

Usagi stared at Naru, not sure of what to say. If she was being honest, she wanted more than anything to tell Naru about the state of things. Still, she also knew that she couldn't risk putting anyone else in danger, considering that the enemy had taken her brother and her future daughter, so she smiled and pretended to be cheerful.

"Come on, Naru. What makes you think that I know anything about that?" Usagi laughed.

Naru then smiled, too, albeit a bit sadly. "Of course, you wouldn't, and even if you did, you wouldn't be able to talk about it," she said. "But there's something I want to let you know." She then walked over to Usagi and held her hands with hers while staring into her eyes, smiling. "I won't try to pry anymore, but I want you to be careful, Usagi. I'll see you and Harusuke at school tomorrow, okay?"

Usagi was surprised and touched and couldn't help but smile too. "Thank you, Naru. I'll see you then."

The ordango blonde then started running again while Naru watched her go.

"Don't be late again, you hear me?!" Naru called out.

Usagi answered with a wave as she continued on her way. "I'm sorry for not being able to tell you the truth, Naru," she thought. "But for your sake, as well as everyone else, my friends and I will do everything we can to protect the Earth. I promise."

As Naru watched Usagi disappear into the distance, she looked up towards the sky, saying a prayer for her dear friend. "Oh, God, if you're there, please protect Usagi and the others and our world."

Back on the Planet Nemesis in the reactor room, Prince Demande was keeping his eye on the Malefic Black Crystal Reactor, which was now once again teeming with power thanks to Wiseman reacquiring the card. But Prince Demande was still upset and angry over what Wiseman had done to Saphir.

Wiseman then appeared, and when Prince Demande saw him, he scowled, wanting nothing more than the kill the specter. "You've got a lot of nerve showing yourself to me after what you've done, Wiseman," the prince spoke coldly. "You not only ignored my orders, but you also killed Saphir for no reason at all!"

"We have toiled for years to be able to rewrite the history of Earth," Wiseman said. "Therefore, those not true to our vision, those who betray our ideals, must be castoff and eliminated! That includes Saphir!"

Prince Demande's body erupted with an aura filled with fury as his eyes glared daggers at Wiseman. "You had no right to decide that nor to kill him!" he snapped fiercely. "What makes you think that you did?!"

Wiseman then held out his crystal ball before Demande. It began to glow and showed Demande a vision of the large Malefic Black Crytal growing in the middle of Downtown Juuban.

"Now that the Malefic Black Crystal in the present has nurtured and has grown stronger thanks to Black Lady's power," Wiseman said. "The time to fulfill our long-cherished dream of taking revenge on the Earth and its people."

But Demande was still angry. "You can't trick me with your words anymore, Wiseman!" he snarled. "Stop distracting me and tell me why you defied my orders and killed Saphir?!"

"Saphir's passing was a minor occurrence compared to the great things about to come," said Wiseman. "My prince, have you forgotten the reason why our Black Moon Clan got forced to come to Nemesis in the first place? For ages, we have hoped and dreamed of having an opportunity to take our revenge. Surely, you're not thinking of allowing this chance to slip away because of an inconsequential casualty? And if you're looking for someone to blame, shouldn't you be blaming the Sailor Guardians? After all, they were the ones that turned your brother against us, therefore leaving me no choice but to do what I did."

Demande was silent for a brief moment, but he still scowled at the specter.

"That may be true. Watching the Earth and finally getting our chance to take revenge has been our clan's dream," said Demande, clenching his fist while holding back his temper. "If you must continue with those plans, then go right ahead. But just know that I haven't forgiven you, nor will I ever forget what you have done! Once we've taken our revenge, I intend to make you pay for what you've done. Consider yourself warned."

"Of course," said Wiseman, appearing not to care. "As you wish, my prince."

And with a wave of his cape, Demande stormed away. Wiseman then spoke to himself, a cruel smile in his voice.

"You're free to take your revenge on me whenever you want, Demande. If you're still alive, that is."

Back in Downtown Juuban, after meeting up at the Hikawa Shrine, Usagi and her group gathered outside the Malefic Black Crystal. The crystal had grown so big and powerful its dark power spread throughout the town, even distorting the sky above them.

"The Malefic Black Crystal's evil energy keeps growing stronger by the second," gasped Ami. "If this keeps up..."

"It'll destroy us all as well as the rest of the world," Minako finished.

"We have to do something and quickly," Makoto spoke grimly. "So, let's go!"

The girls were just about to charge straight in when Mamoru barred her way, raising his arm.

"What's the matter, Mamo?" asked Usagi.

"Let me just check something," said Mamoru. "Something doesn't feel right."

Mamoru then picked up a rock on the ground and threw it towards the Malefic Black Crystal. It struck a barrier that crackled and sparked, reducing it into dust in a matter of seconds, which made everyone except Mamoru gasp.

"I should have guessed," said Artemis. "A barrier."

"If we so much as touch that thing, we'll get barbecued," said Rei. "How are we going to get inside?"

"I can only think of one way," said Luna. "You're all going to have to use Sailor Teleport. It's the only way you can get inside without having to worry about the barrier."

"Then that's what we'll do," said Makoto. "We'll transform, use Sailor Teleport, and then go kick some Black Moon Clan butt!"

"And save Chibiusa and Harusuke," added Minako with determination.

"Let's do it then!" said Usagi.

But as she, along with the others, were about to transform, Ami suddenly spoke up.

"Wait a minute," the bluenette said. "There's something I want to say."

Everyone then looked at Ami, giving her their utmost attention.

"I want to say thanks and that I'm very grateful to have you all as my friends," Ami said to everyone with a smile. "And when this is all over, I want to go out for cake with you all again. I know that I sound pessimistic, but I just really wanted to tell you just in case."

Rei then smiled. "Oh, come on, Ami. There's no need to be so worried," she said. "We'll be scarfing down cakes again before you know it."

"And we can always get the all-you-can-eat next time," Makoto grinned.

"I agree!" Usagi concurred. "I'm always up for eating cake!"

"Come on, Usako. Don't you think you should take it easy on the sweets?" asked Mamoru. "You'll gain weight."

"Not to mention you managed to eat all of the cake the last time you went," Minako added.

Usagi pouted. "Hey. I didn't eat that much!" she complained. "And I'll have you know; I've lost a few pounds, Mamo."

Everyone then laughed, even Luna and Artemis.

Makoto then held out her hand, calling for a team hand-stack. "Then it's settled," she said with a smile. "After we protect the Earth, we'll go out and celebrate."

Minako stacked her hand on top. "Let's go do this for everyone's future!"

Ami put her hand in next. "We'll do our best to save Chibiusa, Harusuke, and the people of the future city of Tokyo!"

Rei came in fourth. "Let's put our hearts together..."

Usagi was the last to put her hand in. "... to protect our beloved Earth!"

"Please, be careful, everyone," warned Luna.

"We're counting on you," said Artemis.

As everyone gave the cats a firm nod, Tuxedo Mask went to Usagi.

"I may not be able to join you because I can't teleport, but I'll do what I can to support you from the sidelines," Tuxedo Mask said. "I'll stay outside and search for Chibiusa and Harusuke." He then embraced his love in a tender hug. "Please be careful, Usako. You and your friends are the only ones that can save Chibiusa and Harusuke and stop the Black Moon Clan. So stay strong and make sure you and your friends are safe."

Usagi returned the hug. "I will, Mamo. I promise."

Usagi and her friends then faced the Malefic Black Crystal, and they all transformed.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER...!"

"MERCURY STAR POWER...!"

"MARS STAR POWER...!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER...!"

"VENUS STAR POWER...!"

"MAKE UP! ! ! !"

Transformation Sequence: Usagi

Usagi holds up the Crystal Star brooch as it opens, revealing the Silver Crystal inside. Usagi waved her hand on the Silver Crystal, and it flashed it a bright short burst of pink light emitting a chime. It does it a second time, and on the third, it shines brightly, enveloping Usagi in its glow. Usagi then holds the brooch above her head, suspending it in between her hands, drawing it to the center of her torso, flipping it once before placing it in the center of her chest. She then spins around a few times as the crystal begins to glow even brighter than before in pink light. She holds her hands up as a pair of wings spring forth from her back while pink ribbons come out from the crystal wrapping around Usagi's body, forming her leotard. The wings on her back disappeared as more pink ribbons wrapped around her arms and hands, creating white gloves and red boots around her calves and feet. As the blue skirt appears around her waist, one more pink ribbon ties at her back as she does a kind of spread-eagle motion with one leg up, a glowing moon symbol appearing on her forehead. Her tiara, earrings, choker, and ordango covers appear, and Usagi, now Sailor Moon, finishes with her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Ami

Ami holds up her hand as blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting her fingernails turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end and the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Ami is enveloped in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple and a flurry of bubbles expand over her body, creating a tiny mist of water that forms the rest of her uniform, the same as Sailor Moon's, but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. Finally, she turns around and then strikes her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Rei

Rei's hand is held up as red sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright red. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Rei is enveloped in red light. As she held up her pen while spinning around, long bright tongues of flame erupted from it, forming several rings around her body. They tighten around her body, and in a brilliant flash of light, her outfit forms having to look just like Sailor Moon's, but she is wearing red pumps along with a pair of red star-shaped earrings, the center bow is purple, and the rims of her gloves, her skirt, her choker, and collar are red. After that, Mars finishes with her signature pose.

Transformation Sequence: Makoto

Makoto's hand is held up as green sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright green. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It starts to turn around rapidly as green light envelops Makoto. As she holds up her pen while spinning around, long streams of lightning erupt from it, encircling her body, forming an atom of sorts before exploding in a brilliant flash of light. Her outfit forms, having to look just like Sailor Moon's, wearing green boots along with her pair of roses earrings, the bow is pink, and the rims of her gloves green, as is her skirt, her choker, and collar. After that, Jupiter finishes with her signature pose.

Transformation sequence: Minako.

Minako's hand is held up as golden stars swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright orange. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Minako is enveloped in yellow light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as banners of golden stars emit from it. Minako then holds up the pen above her head as the banners of stars form a spiral around her body. They disappear into the ground, forming a circle of stars and burst into more stars going upwards, enveloping Minako's body. Then Minako emerges wearing the same outfit as Sailor Moon's, the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves colored orange, her back bow, yellow, and her center bow, blue. She then opens her eyes as she assumes her signature pose.

The Sailor Guardians stood in a circle and channeled all of their powers to one another. Their bodies glowed with energy, and the ground cracked and crumbled.

"SAILOR TELEPORT!" Sailor Moon and the other guardians spoke in unison.

All five guardians vanished, disappearing into the air, leaving Tuxedo Mask, Luna, and Artemis alone.

"There they go," Luna spoke quietly. "Do you think they'll be okay?"

"They'll be alright," said Tuxedo Mask. "I'm sure that they'll all come back safely. We must believe in them."

The Sailor Guardians soon found themselves in a black and strange labyrinth inside the Malefic Black Crystal. Numerous reflective crystals protruded everywhere, and the space seemed weird and distorted.

"It looks like we made it inside," said Sailor Venus.

"This place looks like a maze of mirrors of here," Sailor Mars said as she glanced around.

"Well, let's get moving," said Sailor Moon. "There's no use waiting around."

"Hold on, Sailor Moon. Maybe we shouldn't be so hasty," warned Sailor Mercury. "We should try to be more cautious."

But Sailor Mercury's warning came all too late.

"Well, well, if it isn't Sailor Moon and the other guardians. Let me be the first to welcome you to the Malefic Black Crystal."

As Sailor Moon and the others looked up, Prince Demande stepped out from the darkness, wearing a smile that radiated with confidence as well as malice while he stood leisurely against one of the crystals.

"Demande," gasped Sailor Moon. "What do you want? And where are Harusuke and Chibiusa?!"

"If you're talking about Black Lady and Dark Nova, they're a bit occupied at the moment," Demande said. "But in the meantime, how about I keep you girls company? After all, we have some unfinished business."

"What do you mean by that?" asked Sailor Jupiter suspiciously.

Demande then stepped forward and hovered in the air, his third eye appearing in the middle of his forehead. "I mean, it's time that we settle this feud once and for all," he said, his face twisted in a snarl. "It's because of you, Guardians, that Wiseman killed Saphir, so now I'll take my revenge by killing you all!"

"But Demande, we have no reason to fight you!" protested Sailor Moon. "Besides, Wiseman was the one who killed Saphir!"

"That may be true, but you were the reasons that made him end up in that position in the first place!" Demande snapped. "Therefore, you must all pay for your crime! And once I've dealt with you, I'll take the Silver Crystal to make sure there will no one left to stand in our way, then the Dark Gate will open, and the Black Moon Clan will finally have our revenge!"

"There's no way that's going to happen!" said Sailor Mars defiantly as she and the other guardians took their stances. "We'll stop you no matter what it takes!"

"Then let's get on with it, shall we?" Demande spoke, his hands crackling with Dark Power. "I think we've had enough small talk for one day. Now, prepare to die!"

Demande fired a powerful beam from his third eye at the Guardians, causing the girls to immediately scatter as the attack blasted the floor where they stood. Sailors Jupiter and Mars then retaliated by unleashing their special attacks.

"MARS BURNING MANDALA!"

"JUPITER SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!"

The two attacks merged, creating a powerful stream of fire enhanced by lightning. However, Demande using his third eye, created a barrier to shield himself from the combined effort, saving himself from harm.

"Childs play!" Demande spoke with a smirk.

"MERCURY BUBBLE SPRAY!"

Sailor Mercury then unleashed a flurry of bubbles, spreading fog through the area. Using the mist for cover, Sailor Venus leaped into the air and used one of her attacks as well.

"VENUS LOVE-ME CHAIN!"

Demande immediately raised his hands as their sides and, with a mighty shout, released a powerful force that was like a powerful gust of wind, repelling Venus' Love-Chain, blowing away the mist, and sending Sailor Mercury and Venus to the ground.

The eye on Demande's forehead began to glow as he gazed directly at the Guardians. When he did, the Guardians all suddenly froze in place like statues, not taking another step.

"Wh-What's going on?!" cried Sailor Mercury.

"I-I'm frozen!" gasped Sailor Moon. "I can't move!"

"Me either!" winced Sailor Jupiter.

Demande laughed, believing that the victory was his as he walked towards them. "Now that my Evil Eye's gaze has trapped you, I'll be taking the Silver Crystal first before I kill you."

The guardians struggled, trying their best to break free before Demande got to them. Then, Sailor Moon using every ounce of her willpower, managed to move her hand to her forehead, touching her tiara. After that, with a mighty throw, the guardian of the moon launched it from her forehead, making it turn into a white disc. The disc struck Demande square into his evil eye, stunning him and causing him to release his hold on the guardians allowing them to move again.

"Nice shot, Sailor Moon!" said Sailor Mars.

As Demande held his forehead in pain, his eyes filled with anger as he glared dangerously at the guardians. "You'll pay for that!" he snarled. "Take this!"

He then unleashed a powerful blast of Dark Power at Sailor Moon, but Sailor Jupiter and Venus quickly stepped in the way and countered with their own attacks.

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM!"

"JUPITER SUPREME THUNDER!"

Venus' beam of light, as well as Jupiter's stream of thunder, were able to hold back Demande's attack, but the prince's power was so overwhelming it quickly overtook the two until they were blasted away along with Sailor Moon. Seeing that their friends were in trouble, Sailor Mars and Mercury leaped to the fray and tried to attack Demande, only for another blast of Dark Power from him that blasted and sent them flying and tumbling to the ground. Demande then turned his attention to Sailor Moon, preparing to unleash the powers of his third eye.

But Sailor Moon managed to recover and got back up on her feet. She knew that the prince was powerful and was enraged with grief for what happened to Saphir, but then she remembered Saphir, who desperately was trying to tell Demande about Wiseman. Being the person she was, she knew that she had to find a way to calm Demande down and convince him to stop fighting.

"Please, Demande! You have to stop this!" cried Sailor Moon.

"And why should I?" asked Demande. "Have you finally decided to surrender because you can't beat my overwhelming power, Sailor Moon?"

"No, I have not, but I don't want to fight you, either!" Sailor Moon said. "Can't you see that your grief and hatred are blinding you? If anything, your enemy should be Wiseman for what he did! Not us!"

"Regardless, you and the rest of the Earth are my enemies!" Demande snarled. "Wiseman may have killed Saphir, but he's still helping me achieve my goal for revenge, and I won't stop until I realize that dream! With the power of the Malefic Black Crystal, the Black Moon Clan will be unstoppable!"

Sailor Moon glared. "Stop talking nonsense! Having power and revenge won't do anything but bring sorrow and pain!" she said. "Why can't you see that?! You're only letting Saphir's death be in vain by continuing on this path!"

"Our power will destroy all of humanity on Earth!" Demande said. "Unless we do, there will be no future!"

"What do you mean, no future?! All you're doing is using your power for destruction!" said Sailor Moon. "Haven't you ever thought about coexisting with us? Wouldn't it be better if we could live together in peace?"

"Live together in peace?! Rubbish!" said Demande crossly. "You and the rest of Crystal were the ones who shunned us in the first place! Your kind has made it quite clear that it and the Black Moon Clan could never coexist!"

"That isn't true at all. The Black Moon Clan is capable of coexisting with Earth," said Sailor Moon. "Just ask the Spectre Sisters. They were able to come around and are living happy lives on Earth right now."

A surprised look crossed Demande's face. "What? But Wiseman said-"

"Forget about what Wiseman has told you," interrupted Sailor Mars. "Everything that we're telling you is the truth."

"Koan and the others have never been happier with their new lives," chimed in Sailor Jupiter. "And all the Black Moon Clan wanted to do was kill them while treating them like disposable tools."

Demande was so speechless that his third eye dissipated as he began to second guess everything he knew. "Could it be... that Wiseman was lying to us all this time?"

"Yes, that was most likely what Saphir was trying to tell you before Wiseman killed," said Sailor Moon. "Your brother was trying to warn you about Wiseman's betrayal."

Demande stared at Sailor Moon, gazing right into her eyes as he searched in them, trying to confirm if she, along with the others, were telling him the truth. Finally, after a few seconds, Demande conceded. "Your eyes tell me that you don't seem to be the type of person to lie to me," he said quietly. "But if that's the case, then Wiseman has been lying to us from the very beginning."

The ghostly specter in question appeared at that moment, emerging from the ground. "Prince Demande, why are you standing there when you should be killing those Sailor Guardians?" Wiseman asked. "Sailor Moon and her friends are nuisances, trying to keep us from achieving our goals and must be eliminated! Destroy them, now!"

"I will not!" Demande snarled at Wiseman. "I knew that you were lying before, but now I see that Saphir was right all along! You've been lying to me about everything! About our plan for revenge, about Esmeraude, the Spectre Sisters, everything! You're nothing but a traitor, and if anything, you'll be the one disposed of for tarnishing our clan with your lies!"

"So you've finally decided to turn against me, eh?" said Wiseman, not appearing to be surprised. "No matter. I have no use for a fool who believes the words of a bunch of silly girls! I have Black Lady and Dark Nova to do my bidding now, and with the Dark Power growing from the Malefic Black Crystal by the minute, I have no use for you! Begone!"

The evil specter held out his crystal ball as it began to glow in white light. Then, just like he did to kill Saphir, he unleashed a powerful white beam of light at Demande and the Sailor Guardians. The girls braced themselves to defend, but Demande stepped in between them, and using his Evil Eye, created a barrier taking the attack while protecting the guardians.

"So you've finally shown your true colors, Wiseman," Demande spoke with gritted teeth. "If you think that you can kill the leader of the Black Moon Clan so easily, give it your best shot! And I'll be damnded if I'll let you lay a hand on Sailor Moon or the Guardians!"

"Let us help you, Demande!" said Sailor Jupiter. "If we work together - "

"No. This battle is between Wiseman and me," Demande said firmly. "You girls need to get to the center of the Dark Gate on top of the Malefic Black Crystal! That's where Black Lady is gathering power. If you can stop her before she's gathered enough power, then you should be able to stop the Dark Gate from opening."

"But are you sure that you can take him by yourself?" Sailor Moon asked worriedly.

"I'll be alright," Demande reassured. "Besides, I don't have anything much to lose anyway. The least I can do is do the right thing for once. Now, hurry."

Demande then shot into the air, and he and Wiseman engaged in an all-out brawl with each other, firing powerful blasts of energy while zipping around the air at incredible speeds. At first, Sailor Moon and the others were hesitant to leave Demande behind, but they also knew they had to get to the center as soon as possible, so they decided to abide by Demande's request.

"Come on, we better take this chance while we still have it!" said Sailor Venus.

"Then let's go!" cried Sailor Mercury as she activated her visor. "I'm pretty sure that I can find a way out using my computer!"

The Guardians then took off, running as fast as they could. As they did, Sailor Moon looked back at Demande and Wiseman and said a silent thank you to the prince. Then she happened to overhear Wiseman and Demande as they continued their fight.

"Destroying the Earth and turning it into a dark world!" Wiseman yelled out. "That is what the Ruler of Darkness, Death Phantom, truly desires!"

"And is that what you intend to accomplish here?!" Demande grunted as he fought back. "I won't let you do that!"

"Death Phantom?" she repeated. "Who is that?"

Wiseman then took notice of Sailor Moon and the other Guardians. When he did, he suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of Sailor Moon, barring her way, catching her and the other Guardians by surprise. Before any of the Guardians could react or try to protect her, Wiseman aimed his crystal ball and then unleashed multiple glass-like shards of Dark Power. However, Demande teleported in the line of fire and shielded Sailor Moon, as the shards impaled him in the back, piercing through his flesh.

Demande gritted his teeth as he tried not to cry out in pain as he faced Wiseman once again and unleashed a powerful blast from his hand with the last of his strength. The attack hit its mark, blasting right into Wiseman's crystal ball and into his body. The specter screamed in agony as his hands shattered like glass, and his cloak burned away. In a matter of seconds, Wiseman was obliterated, Demande's attack leaving nothing but the crystal, which fell to the floor with a clatter.

"All right! He got him!" said Sailor Mars.

"Are you alright, Sailor Moon?" asked Sailor Venus.

"Yes, I'm okay," replied Sailor Moon. "But that was a close one."

Demande then winced in pain as blood began to seep through, and unable to remain standing anymore, he fell to his knees, feeling his strength leaving him. Sailor Moon saw this and quickly rushed over to Demande, catching him.

"Demande!" Sailor Moon. "Just hold on!"

Demande weakly looked up at the guardian of the moon. "Sailor Moon, it would seem that I owe you and your friends an apology," he said weakly. "I was so obsessed with revenge that I failed to see what Wiseman was doing. I was so desperate to make the Black Moon Clan's dream a reality that I was willing to give up my life and many others to make it happen. Not only that, but I've treated you rather horribly back then. I would ask for forgiveness, but I'm not even sure if I deserve such kindness, considering that I've forgotten what it means to be human."

"But you haven't forgotten," Sailor Moon spoke kindly. "After all, you just saved my life."

"You also were willing to give us a chance to escape to stop the Dark Gate," added Sailor Mars.

"And now that you've realized your mistakes and know the truth, you won't make those mistakes again," said Sailor Mercury.

Demande then smiled. "Yes. You may be right about that," he said. "But I'm afraid it's too late for me."

"Don't say that!" Sailor Moon said, sensing that the prince was growing weaker. "You'll be okay. Just save your strength."

"I'm happy to hear that the Spectre Sisters are living happy lives on Earth," Demande went on. "And the fact that you and your friends tried to save and protect Saphir and that you were able to convince me of the truth makes me think that we might have been able to live in peace together."

"We still could!" Sailor Moon cried, her eyes beginning to fill with tears. "But we can't make it happen without your help, Demande!"

Demande looked at Sailor Moon's sorrowful expression. Then using whatever strength he had left, he wiped away a tear from Sailor Moon's right eye. "You're a kind soul, Sailor Moon, but my time in this world is over," he whispered. "You and the other Guardians will be the ones to create the future. Not me. So make sure you all protect it at all costs." He gave Sailor Moon one last smile. "Sailor Moon, I... will always love..."

Then after taking his last breath, Demande's hand fell to the floor, going limp and void of life. The last of the Black Moon Clan had now passed on.

"Demande! Prince Demande!" Sailor Moon sobbed. "Please don't die! Demande!"

But it was no use. The other Guardians all hung their heads with sadness, mourning for the prince too. However, their grief was cut short by the sound of laughter that echoed throughout the room. Everyone looked back to see that Wiseman's crystal ball had begun to hover as it glowed. Then from the crystal, Wiseman's body rematerialized as if nothing had happened, much to the girls' shock.

"No way!" gasped Sailor Mercury. "Wiseman's still alive?!"

"But that's impossible!" Sailor Jupiter cried. "We saw Demande kill him!"

"I am an immortal being!" Wiseman cackled. "Someone as pitiful as Demande is incapable of killing a being like me!"

"We'll see about that!" Sailor Moon snapped as she took a fighting stance. "You're going to pay for what you've done, Wisman! It's bad enough that you turned Chibiusa and Harusuke against us, but now after seeing what you've done here, I will never forgive you for what you've done!"

"As much as I would love to crush you and your friends, Sailor Moon, but I'm afraid that you've run out of time," Wiseman cackled. "Black Lady's power has reached its peak, and the Malefic Black Crystal's power has now opened the Dark Gate and will turn your world into dust! You can all watch as the entire world plunges into darkness forever!"

"We won't let that happen!" Sailor Mars objected. "We'll stop it and stop you as well!"

"We shall see!" Wiseman laughed as he disappeared from the room.

"We got to up to the top of the Malefic Black Crystal!" said Sailor Jupiter. "If the Dark Gate is open, then we've got to stop Chibiusa before it's too late!"

"Then let's hurry!" said Sailor Moon. "We can't let Wiseman get away with everything that he's done! It's now or never, guys!"

Everyone then took off running, ready to avenge Demande and all of Wiseman's other victims, save Chibiusa and Harusuke, and put an end to the Dark Gate before it was too late.
