Chapter 9: An Electric Ally on Standby

A while later after the Ghost left Traverse Town, Sora was fast asleep in his room. He was dreaming about playing on the island with his friends. Close by were not only their parents but Wanda and Peter watching them play. His dream was interrupted by the smell of something delicious. Picking up Kuro Kabuto and the emergency pouch, Sora groggily walked into the lounge where everyone was eating.

Luke: (Seeing Sora) Looks like someone decided he was hungry.

Wanda: (Putting her Power Dog down) Sora. Sweetie, we didn't wake you, did we?

Sora: No, Ms. Wanda. I was just hungry.

Wanda picked up Sora and set his stuff on the table as Luke set a Power Dog down.

Luke: Try it. It's got meat, cheese, chili, ketchup, and onions: Everything a growing boy needs.

As Wanda started cutting up Sora's food, Peter noticed the small pouch Sora had.

Peter: (Picking it up) Where'd you get this?

Sora: It was among the stuff Mr. Merlin gave us.

Peter opened it and first he brought out a small note.

Peter: (Reading it) In case of emergencies, do not get wet.

Peter reached inside and pulled out, to his surprise, a yellow ball with the numbers 221 on it.

Wanda: That's just an ordinary ping pong ball.

Peter: (Remembering the Lilo & Stitch franchise) No, this is a dehydrated illegal genetic alien.

Sora: (Mouth-full) What's that mean?

Wanda: Sora, it's rude to talk with your mouth full.

Sora: (Swallowing) Sorry.

Wanda: And why is it dehydrated?

Luke: Haven't you seen Lilo & Stitch?

Wanda shook her head no. That's when Peter put the movie on.

Luke: (As he and Peter went to the Cargo Bay to talk) Why is she acting like she's never seen a Disney Movie?

Peter: Because she hasn't. (Stopping his friend) Before you ask, it's a fair reason. Turns out Magneto didn't want her or her brother to watch the fates of Scar, Gaston, Skyes, and the others.

It took Luke to translate Peter's joke and realized what he meant.

Luke: That's reasonable.

Peter decided to check on the cockpit.

Peter: Any luck detecting the next Crack, Doom?

Doom: CH-33P is scanning for it now.

Peter: Why don't you come with us this time, Doom? Be useful to have you fighting with us.

Doom: You sure, sir? The ship could need protecting.

Peter: Luke can handle that. It might be good for you to come with us.

Doom decided to agree to going. Seeing it was gonna take a while to get to the next world, Peter decided to join the movie.

Sora: Mr. Luke, wanna join us?

Luke: Nah, I think I'll just take some inventory. You three enjoy that movie.

Wanda felt Sora snuggle up to her, which made her smile. They went through the first movie and got to the one that introduced Stitch's cousins. Wanda paid attention to when 221 was activated.

Wanda: (Whispering while the movie played) That's what this ball is?

Peter: (Whispering) If we're lucky, Sparky is still good and just needs a wake-up call.

Wanda: (Whispering) And if we're not?

Peter: (Whispering) Then we're gonna need a glass jar and a lot of luck.

Sora: Sparky okay right now?

Peter: (Giving Sora back the pouch) Yeah, he's fine buddy. He's just taking a nap until he get's wet. So follow the rule only until it's an emergency.

Sora nodded, understanding the rule.
