Chapter 819: Tree Hill High School

Monday, April 3rd, Morning

When lunchtime came, she walked into the Commons and sat at her usual table. Reaching into her TARDIS backpack, she pulled out her insulated lunch bag. She half wondered what the kitchens of Beaulieu made today.

Sawyer Scott looked up and across the room to see Gareth Reuter sitting alone at another table. He used to sit at this table with her but decided to be alone now. Sawyer sighed and looked over to see her cousin, Lydia "LK" Scott, walking over, her boots clanking on the floor. LK took her usual spot at the table and unpacked her lunch.

"How was your day?" Sawyer asked. LK

"It has been a typical day," LK said.

Sawyer nodded, "That's good," she said.

"Why is it good, Sassy?" LK asked.

"It's an expression, LK," Sawyer said and sighed.

"I understand," LK said.

Wendy walked over and put her tray down. She sighed and looked over LK and Sawyer.

"Where's your new charge?" Sawyer asked.

"Jordan?" Wendy asked.

"That's her name?" Sawyer replied.

"Sassy, you know her name. Wendy introduced her to us this morning at the Field House," LK said.

"I know, and thanks, LK," Sawyer said.

"You're welcome," LK said.

"You don't like her, do you?" Wendy asked.

Sawyer shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe it's because she looks too much like Joce," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of unease.

"I asked about that," Wendy said.

"What's her answer?" Sawyer asked.

"I guess Joce Allen-Travis is Jordan's cousin; that's why they look so much alike," Wendy said.

"LK and I are cousins, and we don't look that much alike," Sawyer said.

"Actually, our dads are half brothers, Sassy," LK said.

"Thanks, LK," Sawyer said.

"You're welcome, Sassy," LK said.

Sawyer rolled her eyes. Wendy shook her head.

"You know I look like none of my sisters. Hell, Cindy and I are twins, and we look totally different," Wendy said.

"My sisters Ellie and Kay are twins and don't look anything alike," Sawyer said.

"Kay looks like Uncle Lucas, while Ellie looks like Aunt Peyton," LK said.

"Thanks again, LK," Sawyer said.

"You're welcome, Sassy," LK said.

"I forgot your family is bigger than mine," Wendy said.

"Not by much," Sawyer said.

"Please give Jordan a chance," Wendy said.

"Why?" Sawyer asked.

"I don't want to deal with Mrs. Pierce-Scott," Wendy said.

"Motivated self-interest? I can get behind that," Sawyer said.

"I know you'd understand," Wendy said.

"I am a mentee of the Mater Familiae of Tree Hill. That is in the first week of study," Sawyer said, chuckling.

"I see that," Wendy said.

Jordan walked over and put her tray down. Sitting, she looked around the table. Jordan smiled and nodded, "So, what were you discussing?" Jordan asked.

"You believe it or not," Wendy said.

"Anything good?" Jordan asked.

Sawyer and Wendy nodded, "Yeah, pretty good," they said.

"Good," Jordan said, looking at LK, "Is she always like that?"

"Jordan, please don't mess with LK," Wendy said.

"Okay?" Jordan asked.

"LK is my cousin and sort of family to Kent," Sawyer said.

"Okay," Jordan said.

"So, how's your first day so far?" Sawyer asked.

"Interesting, so far," Jordan said.

"Interesting, how?" Wendy asked.

"I had gym today, and I heard some guy talking about you, Sawyer," Jordan said.

"Guys here talk about me constantly," Sawyer said dismissively.

"One of the guy's names was Keir, and he was bragging that he slept with you, Sawyer," Jordan said, her tone betraying her shock at the revelation.

"Keir as in Keir Hammel?" Sawyer asked.

Jordan nodded, "Yeah, I think so," she said.

"Sawyer, watch your temper," Wendy said, sensing the frustration in Sawyer's voice.

"He's bragging to the jock bros?" Sawyer asked.

Jordan nodded. "I could assume; I didn't know them at all. Someone just happened to call the braggart Keir," she said.

"Okay," Sawyer said, "remain calm."

"Is it true?" Jordan asked.

"Is it true I had sex with Keir Hammel?" Sawyer asked.

"I guess," Jordan said.

Sawyer nodded, "Yes, it's true; at a party, he charmed his way into my heart," she said.

"And your pants," Wendy said.

"That too, and I don't need a reminder of my own stupidity," Sawyer said.

"You weren't thinking with your brain," Wendy said.

"Fuck," Sawyer said.

"Well, I could find out more," Jordan said.

"How?" Sawyer asked.

"Simple, I'm the new girl; people will ignore me," Jordan said.

"It could work," Wendy said.

Sawyer shrugged and shook her head.
