Diner Lodge
Inside the diner, the small amount of customers allowed the workers to not be as swamped compared to the rest of the year; at a long table the present company that had arrived at the lodge in an RV had their menus, you had Vicky and Ricky sitting across from each other, while Bucky and his son Chester sat to the left of Ricky while Helen and Trixie sat on the right of Vicky.
Vance sat at one of the edges of the table, a sort of the head of the table sort of thing, as the man furrowed his brow as he held his own menu up, thankful he could control his werewolf transformation.
Trixie meanwhile cautiously looked over from her menu at the man that had once looked like a werewolf, of all the odd and crazy things that the crazy teen had going around him, his dad was a werewolf of all things. Quickly avoiding eye contact with the possibly flea bitten man, Trixie looked back at her own menu.
If she was gonna have to deal with the commoners, she would make the most of it and demand the best food this shabby diner had. While it was part of the tourist lodge, it at least had quite the posh looking restaurant diner that served food.
Chester meanwhile, was enjoying the whole thing, spending time outside Dimmsdale with his dad; not to mention, his dad was less ashamed to have his bag over his head and took it off while he was in the present company of Ricky's dad. It was really awesome in his opinion, he was just a bit disappointed that his other friends would probably never believe him, his dad was a vampire hunter before he was a baseball player.
Approaching the table, a nondescript male waiter approached the table of seven people, "Alright!" He announced, expressing a simple smile, "My name is Chuck! And I'll be your waiter! Have you all decided yet what you'll be having for the brunch special!" he asked.
Trixie was the first to speak up as she put her menu down and gave the man her best attempt at looking self-important, "Waiter, do you by chance have any golden encrusted waffles à la mode?" She asked with a small smile.
Chuck however looked at the girl like she grew a second head, and gave Trixie a deadpan look, "Um…kid, I don't know who you are, but this isn't some fancy restaurant." he answered, and spoke again in an earnest tone, "But we do have an ice cream waffle deluxe special. It's a stack of waffles drizzled with chocolate and topped with ice cream and whip cream…" he offered with a raised brow, while giving the other adults a questioning look if that choice was alright.
Trixie rolled her eyes and grumbled as she slumped forwards, "Fine…" leave it to a tourist lodge to not have the finer dining stuff.
Chester waved his hand into the air to earn the Waiter's attention, "ooh, ooh! What's your apple con carne special!?" he asked, "Is it really an apple pie sandwiched between two waffle buns, all slathered in syrup!?" Chester followed up by asking.
Chuck smiled back at the kid, "Indeed it is, is that your choice?" he asked, earning a nod from the boy, "Alright, one Apple con carne…" he wrote down, while earning a cheer from Chester.
"Whoohoo!" Chester yelled while throwing his hands up, while earning an eye roll from Trixie who leaned against the table to rest her cheek against her palm.
Her table manners were thrown out the window considering her parents didn't send her good clothes, and now she was stuck wearing some spare clothes her parents sent. They didn't even match her eyes, she wasn't sure why she bought the green sweater and black dress pants, it all clashed!
Meanwhile with Bucky, he realized something, "I shucks, I just realized!" he announced with a look of realization as he looked over at his friend Vance, "We need to have the bill split!" he remarked.
Vance lowered his menu to give his friend a stern look, "I'm covering, Bucky, don't bother." He growled in minor annoyance that his friend didn't assume he wouldn't cover the bill. They went way back to childhood, and he liked to treat his friends.
Bucky glared over at Vance, "Uhuh, no way." He waved his hands in denial, and pointed at Vance, "Now see here, I appreciate you taking us along for the trip, but I can't let you cover for me all the time!" he declared with his hands against his hips.
Vance kept his own glare up, "Stop being stubborn, Bucky, I'm paying!" He growled as he narrowed his eyes at his friend.
Bucky narrowed his eyes back, "I've saved up enough for us to eat here and then some, Vance, stop trying to show off!"
While the two men began to bicker over who was covering who, Chuck walked over to continue his job while the men argued, or else he would get anything done; he approached Ricky who looked up at him with a broad smirk, "Yeah, I'll have the wizard's cherry pie, with extra marshmallows!"
Chuck smiled back as he wrote down the order, "Excellent sir." He replied, before looking over at Helen while Bucky and Vance walked away from the table in mid argument outside to leave the others to their orders. "And you ma'am?" he asked.
Helen smiled thinly. "I know my husband, he'll be having the Salmon hotcake supreme, with a side of hot chocolate…um." she paused and looked down at her menu before looking back up at the waiter, "I'll have the waffle pancake mix supreme."
Chuck jotted down Helen's order, and gave her a questioning look, "Blueberry or strawberry syrup?" he asked her.
Helen gave the waiter a questioning look, "Is it possible to just have maple syrup on it?" he she questioned, earning a nod from the waiter.
"We can do that." and wrote down her order, before finally looking over at Vicky, meanwhile outside in the background, Vance and Bucky began getting into a fist fight that devolved further into a hazy ball of dust with firsts flying.
Vicky gave the waiter a pointed look, "Yeah, just give me a bacon and sausage sandwich." she waved off the waiter, while earning a cautious look from the man.
"Um…ma'am…that's a party platter." Chuck warned Vicky, earning a confused look from the teen girl. "Read the menu again please."
"Wait, what?" Vicky asked as she picked her menu up again to read the thing, "...party platter…one jumbo sized sandwich that is two biscuits, five pounds of bacon and sausage…" Vicky lowered her menu down and gave the waiter an incredulous look, "Who even would order that thing!" she asked bewildered.
Chuck however gave Vicky an unimpressed look, "Ma'am, we have a college just ten miles from here…a lot of fraternities come here to order that thing…" he deadpanned with a shrug.
Rolling her eyes, believing the possibility that boys in college would of course order such a thing, "Fine!" she grouched and tapped against her menu, "What about the pancake sandwich?" she asked.
Chuck lifted a brow of inquisitiveness, "THe one with a sausage patty and egg between it?" he asked, "That is more manageable for one person, how do you want your egg?" he asked her.
Vicky made a flippant gesture with her hand as she tossed away her menu onto the table behind her, "Over easy!" she grouched, while earning a nod from Chuck.
"Ooh, Get my dad the same thing I got! I'm sure he'd like it!" Chester ordered with his hands raised, and a smile stretching across his face.
"Put some extra blue berries on mine!" Bucky yelled into the diner as he tried to pull himself in through the diner from the door frame, while Vance was pulling on his leg, before finally giving way for both men to resume their fist fight again.
Chuck smiled as he finished writing the order down and tapped his pen against his notepad, "Okay, that should be about ten minutes, I'll be back with your orders!" He announced, before excusing himself.
Approaching the lodge diner after the small bus was driven over the ocean by means of magic, The April Fool pulled his mode of transportation in a vacant spot within the parking lot, where on the opposite end an RV was still visibly parked.
"All right!" April Fool announced as he pulled the lever for the doors of his bus to open for the other holiday Mascots to exit out, "Let's get some food!" he cheered a bit with a smile.
The Easter Bunny exited out first while hopping out, "finally, I'm starving!" he remarked, followed by Cupid and the rest of the mascots. The more they had, the easier it would be to take out Santa and take his magic.
"Not kiddin!" Cupid agreed with the Easter bunny as he floated through the air. As the group of seven holiday mascots headed towards the diner and in through the entrance, they earned quite the few gazes save for a table of folks that were minding their own business.
"Look!" Cupid pointed forward at the diner bar, "We can sit there! Perfect!" he declared joyfully as he headed forward first, the majority of them all passing by the seven humans eating their food at a table.
Looking up with a black eye, but overall cheerful demeanor, Bucky expressed his opinion for the brunch he was eating, "Hot dang! This is some good stuff!" He declared, before shoving another forkful into his mouth.
"Hmm." Vance nodded in agreement as he cut and chewed into a piece of his salmon hotcake, a minor bruise underneath his eye as well as both men ate in relative peace.
Chester looked up from his plate as he chewed and swallowed a bite, before witnessing the mascots coming in through the diner to sit at the bar table, "Yo, dude, what's with those guys…wait, is that cupid looking guy floating!?" he asked with wide eyes.
Vance swallowed another bite of his salmon hotcake before speaking with a straight look at the boy, "What, you already know Santa is real, didn't think Cupid and the other's weren't either?" he pointedly asked the boy.
Bucky chuckled for his son and patted his shoulder, "Shucks, they're probably here on some sort of vacation or something!" he guessed.
Chester however leaned to the side to look more at the mascots, before returning to his food, "Dude, I woke up yesterday having a good Christmas, and now I'm part of a trip to save Christmas…" He remarked with a soft chuckle. "Timmy and AJ will never believe this!"
Vicky meanwhile glared over at Chester as she poked at her food a bit, "Get in line, Twerp! People still don't believe me, Ricky-" She thumbed at the cheeky teen, who was scarfing down his meal with bits of food around his lips, "Crashed a blimp into me, and caught both of us in the explosion aftermath!"
"...Awesome!" Chester remarked with a chuckle and smile, earning an eyeroll of exasperation from Vicky.
Trixie, decided to let her own two cents in on the conversation, spoke with an annoyed tone, "My parents are still hiring him too, to renovate their house! It's been nonstop redecorating every time he crashes into my home! But they don't care!" She threw her arms up in exasperation.
"It's been fun too!" Ricky pipped in, earning an exasperated sigh from the girl.
