Mission 2: The Annoyance

An Hour Later, Andersen's Office

The group arrived to see Ryu getting yelled at by Andersen about something. They looked at each other before IF steps in to ask…

"Sir? What's going on?" Andersen motioned for them to come in and the group came in the room.

"Ryu, your mission was to investigate the power plants on the surface, not fight Raptures up there! Now, we have lost a power plant and 2 months of power saved up that we desperately needed! How can you fumble this?! I gave you a direct order!" Andersen yelled. The group glanced at Ryu, who looked embarrassed and frustrated.

"It was an ambush, sir…" Ryu said as he tried to stay calm. Andersen sighed and moved his hand through his hair in frustration.

"At this point, I don't want an excuse, Ryu. You are hereby moved with Dawnbreaker to the Outpost. You're both being moved there for reasons… Suskian, the Outpost is a big place and you can set up shop, so to speak. For now, get out Ryu. I got things to discuss with Dawnbreaker," Andersen said seriously.

"What about Rapi? Is she…" Ryu asked softly.

"She will recover. Go," Andersen said sternly and Ryu left the office in a hurry.

"Did we really lose power?" Theresa asked as she looked back at Ryu as he closed the door behind him.

"Yes. But, it's not that bad. We have years worth of power in excess…" Andersen said seriously as he fixed his tie.

"I see… That was an act, wasn't it?" Melina said as she looked at Andersen, "Is there something you aren't telling us, Andersen?" The Deputy Commander in Chief glanced at Melina before answering.

"Counters are gonna be watched carefully by the Central Government, as well as you all. I'm sending you all to the Outpost to keep you out of the watchful eye of the government. When Birmingham got there with his nephew, it surprised me and Ingrid as how fast they knew about you and Suskian, Melina. If they knew what you were capable of, both of you… As well as how much Counters function… That would spell trouble for you guys, would it not?" Andersen explained and Suskian nods his head as he folded his arms and understood where Andersen was coming from.

"Yeah, I can see his point. If they tried to force us to do anything we don't want to or experiment on us…" Suskian said and Melina frowned at that, "But, Meli… I won't let them hurt you. You know that."

"Outpost? Wait, on the surface? I know what you're talking about," Launch said as she blinked a few times, "I crashed there unofficially before a few times when I was a lone wolf, before I got on the Ark."

"Well, now you won't get in trouble for crashing there. It's your new home," Andersen said seriously to Launch, who smirked and nods her head.

"Hope you didn't clean the place out. I got some gear up there that can help with weapon maintenance," Launch said as she rubbed her hands together.

"I do have one question. Ryu asked about Rapi. What happened? Did Rapi get injured?" Suskian asked and Andersen sighed as he hands Suskian a clipboard with a digital tablet attached.

"This is the footage from the mission," Andersen said seriously, "I know that I shouldn't be doing all this, but… You're trustworthy enough. Take a look." Suskian turned on the tablet and a video played from the mission… And, he nearly threw the tablet in horror. He just saw Rapi get decapitated by a wayward shot from a Rapture.

"Is she… Dead?" Suskian said as the others came up to look at the video. Melina hugs Suskian and held him soothingly as he trembled.

"No, she's fine. Looks like they only knocked her head off. If they pierced her brain, she'd be a dead soldier," Roberta said calmly as she looked at him, "One of the few safeguards for a Nikke is that we get a new body if our head is still intact with no damage. I lost my original body WAY before I joined any team."

"I constantly get damaged in battle because I'm a reckless woman," Launch said nonchalantly as she brought her hands behind her head.

"Suskian, it's okay. It would be harrowing to see that if you don't know about Nikke and their body structure," Theresa said as she rubs his left arm with her right hand. Suskian closed his eyes and let out a few deep breaths, letting his nerves calm down.

"You're acting like you lost someone before…" Revy said as she looked at him. Melina glanced at her and Revy raised an eyebrow before Melina hugs him, putting his face in her chest.

"Is that necessary?"

"Yes. He has deep seeded trauma about losing someone he cares about… He had a sister he was real close to die in front of him ik the line of duty. It broke him because… They were real close, inseparable… He never got over that," Melina said as she rubs his head soothingly.

"…I see. Apologies for my rudeness," Andersen said as he took the tablet away.

"You don't need to apologize. You were unaware," Melina said as she looked at Andersen, "So, Rapi is still alive. Just recovering?" Andersen nods his head and Suskian hugs Melina, which made her look down at him and have a calm and caring look on her face. Just then, the door opened behind them and Melina and Suskian looked back at the door. A short blue haired woman walked into the door, a blue binder in her arms as she walked into the room.

"Ah, Furina. Good of you to come at the right time. Everyone, this is Furina. She will be your accountant from now on, managing your money and other business deals. She is one of the best in the Ark, and I expect you all to be good to her," Andersen said, changing the subject. Furina bows to them respectfully and clears her throat.

"Ravi de vous rencontrer, everyone," Furina said in a warm tone.

"Bonjour, miss Furina," Melina said as she bows to her. Suskian followed Melina's example.

"Ah, a connoisseur of French dialect. I am glad to have an ally in that endeavor," Furina said in a friendly way.

"One of the few dialects I admire," Melina told her with a smile, "Very romantic, I must say…"

"I'll lead you all to the Outpost. We will need to take an elevator to it , which is out of the way," Furina said as she turned away and motioned for the others to follow.

Meanwhile; Outpost

"Geez, this place is huge as hell! Is this place where we are gonna live?!" Anis called as her and 2 other girls followed behind her.

"Looks like it… I hope we won't have to try and defend this place from any Rapture attacks…" one of the girls, a tall blue haired girl, said as she held what looked like a katana at her left side.

"It's really big, too! We can shoot off rounds however many times we want!" the shorter white haired one said as she held out her white assault Shotgun and shot off a few rounds into the sky.

"…Yeah, great…" Anis muttered as she sighed and slapped her forehead, "At least you have a level head, Tsubasa… You can help me keep Neon from shooting off rounds whenever we have people around."

"Hey! I'm not that trigger happy!" Neon called as she fired off another round into a nearby window and shattered the glass, "…Umm… Ignore that."

"Neon, I'm gonna have to put you in timeout if you don't stop," Tsubasa said seriously as she stared blankly at Neon. Neon pouts and puts her Shotgun away as Anis sighed and looked away while thinking to herself.

"I hope Rapi is able to recover quickly. I can't imagine the process taking too long, and even then… I want her to help me talk with Suskian about more of his world," Anis thought as she walked ahead, looking at the buildings.

"Hey, wait up!" Neon called as she rushed after Anis. Tsubasa follows behind them while glancing at the buildings around them. Eventually, they came to a large apartment building like structure and they went inside to be greeted by Ryu, who was sitting at a table with his head in his hands, looking worried.

"Commander? How long have you been waiting?" Tsubasa asked Ryu as she went up to him. He looked up as Tsubasa stood over him with a concerned look on her face.

"I'm just… I'm worried about Rapi, even though Deputy Anderson told me she will recover. But, can you blame me for worrying…?" Ryu said as he sat back in his chair.

"No. It's normal for humans to have emotions like this… But, you can't let it cloud your logic. Nikke aren't human… Not anymore," Tsubasa told him calmly as she folded her arms, "Don't take it personally, Commander…"

"I won't. I worry that something bad would happen, but I should know better," Ryu told her, "And, we're out here because I screwed up badly."

"No, it was a team effort. We were ambushed, plain and simple," Anis told him as she shook her head, "Don't keep beating yourself up over one failure. You'll become stagnant over that." Ryu sighed and nods his head at that.

"Let's have a look aro-" Then, rhe door opened behind them and Furina stops as she stared at the group as Dawnbreaker was coming in behind her.

"Ah, seems the Counters unit have already arrived. Hello, everyone… You recognize me, non?" Furina told the Nikke and Ryu.

"Furina. One of Tetra's well renowned financial business partners and the right hand to the CEO. Why are you out here?" Tsubasa said as she folded her arms.

"I am also the financial business partner of Dawnbreaker," Furina said as she motioned to the others, "Whatever they need, I will supply them with it. And, since they will also be living here with you all… That includes you in that deal."

"Well, that's nice of you. No strings attached?" Anis asked skeptically as she raised an eyebrow.

"None whatsoever. Don't worry, I won't ask for any blood contract or anything silly like that," Furina joked as she shook her head, "If anything, Syuen might do that."

"Who?" Suskian asked as he raised an eyebrow as Launch walked past him and over to a large cabinet and pushed it to the right side to reveal a large gun cabinet with a whole assortment of guns behind it.

"Oh, don't mind me. Taking inventory for my guns," Launch said as she waved the others off while pulling a handgun off the wall and checked it over.

"Right… Who's Syuen?" Suskian asked Furina as he glanced back at the Nikke.

"C.E.O. of Missilis Industries and one of the Big 3," Furina told Suskian as she turned to him, "Don't let her size fool you. She is a shark out for blood a lot of the time and will throw you under the bus if need be."

"She sounds like a piece of work," Suskian said and Revy grunts in frustration as she took a smoke, "You… Okay?"

"Piece of work ain't the fucking half of it. I used to be under Syuen before she scrapped me. Fucking brat said I was useless after my whole team got wiped out by Raptures. She didn't give me a chance to prove I tried to save them. I hate her," Revy snarled as she shook her head.

"Wait, only team that died under Syuen's command was Black lagoon-" Roberta said softly and glanced at Revy, "You were part of that tram? The names of all the Nikke were redacted after that scandal. No one knew who was on that team except the Big 3."

"Yikes. That's sad… I'm sorry, Revy…" Suskian told her as he turned to her.

"You don't know the half of it…" Chris said as she shook her head, "I heard horror stories about Missilis personally. Especially about that terrorist attack that claimed several lives…"

"I heard about that, too," Tsubasa spoke as she glanced at Chris, "Wasn't Exotic part of that? And Wardress?"

"Yes. Actually, Suskian and Melina… This is a good place as any. Let's have a seat and talk about some of the history of this world," Furina told the married couple. Everyone took seats around the room and Chris sighed before talking again.

"I was actually close to a group of girls that got killed in the line for fire from the terrorist attack. Hibiki, Natalie, Miku… Those that were also on Infinity Rail, especially my big sister Diesel. It's rough, too… I don't know how to explain the anger I feel towards Exotic personally…I won't let them get off that easily when I see them again," Chris said softly and angrily. Theresa rubs her back and Chris sighed as she shook her head.

"That's nothing. What about the Terrabyte incident? And, how many Nikke got corrupted?" Launch called from her spot near the gun cabinet as she was cleaning a Sniper scope.

"How do you know that? That was years ago… Like YEARS ago, near the time of Goldilocks," Roberta said and Furina raised an eyebrow in intrigue.

"It's an old story I hear around the Nikke Bandits, really," Launch said as she leaned on the table.

"Oh, you used to be part of the Bandits," IF said in awe, "Damn, those Nikke were powerful."

"Like I said, I'm no pushover. Those girls raised me to be strong in every aspect," Launch said, "But, back to what I was saying… You're probably wondering what I'm talking about, Suskian and Melina. That was a rough time in the Ark, from what I know. There was a HUGE influx of corruption that no one knew where it originated from. You know about corruption of Nikke by now, right?"

"…In a way, yeah. Why?" Suskian asked.

"Well, it was rumored that Enikka was the one doing it. But, it was disproved by a Rapture that was found on the Ark, stowing away after getting heavily damaged in an earlier attack. I hate to be that crazy conspiracy theorist, but… I always found it weird that Enikka never knew about the Rapture on the Ark for that long… Don't know. It sounds weird, since she always finds stuff out really fast," Launch said as she continued her gun maintenance.

"…Hmmm…" Anis said as she rubs her chin. Everyone turned to her and Anis blushed while waving them off.

"You're thinking the same thing, huh?" IF asked Anis and she nods her head, "Marian…" Ryu blinked a few times and looked at them.

"What about Marian?" Ryu asked calmly.

"Oh, I see what you mean," Suskian said as he leaned back in his chair, "But, we will need a little more proof to go on here. But, it's a good thought."

"What?" Launch asked.

"Before we made this group, Launch… You heard about the mission that IF went on beforehand with Marian?" Suskian asked, "Or do you know that name?"

"Marian… From Silver Gun, right?" Theresa said as she looked at them.

"Correct. I was part of that group as was Vert," IF said as she glanced at Theresa.

"Right. You mentioned that before…" Suskian said before stopping.

"I'm okay," IF said with a small smile, "I'm just… Still getting used to not seeing her all the time."

"If it helps, IF… She did love you," Melina said warmly and IF smiled at that.

"So, why are you mentioning Marian?" Ryu asked as he looked at them.

"Keep this here, everyone. Promise, okay? What we are about to say might sound crazy… But, we need more proof," IF said seriously as her look changed.

"Our lips are sealed," Tsubasa said seriously.

"…Rapi, Anis, and I were talking earlier about this, but we have suspicion that Marian was corrupted way before the mission," IF said calmly as she folded her arms, "And, they cleverly hid it until the time was right." Ryu went pale at that.

"Wait, you're telling me… Everything Marian did was because of her corruption…?" Ryu said in shock.

"There was some truth behind her actions, like caring for you, Ryu. But, the bombing of the helicopter was because of the corruption…" Rapi's voice called from behind them. They looked to see Rapi walking into the room. Suskian sighed with relief as Ryu stood up quickly and stared at Rapi as she walked over to them and stood next to Anis.

"Glad you're back to being whole, Rapi," Tsubasa said to her, "Any differences?"

"No. I see you all have gotten acquainted," Rapi said as she nods her head, "What is the discussion mainly about?"

"Marian's corruption and our distaste towards Missilis," Launch said, "Though… I didn't think I would meet the second coming of Red Hood here…" Rapi glanced at Launch and Launch smirked before putting her hands up in defense.

"Hey, hey. I'm a friend. Besides, you look like her except she had red hair and you're a blonde."

"Keep it a secret, if you can. I don't want anyone knowing about it besides us," Rapi said seriously. After that, the group talked more about other things before they knew it… It was getting dark, so they decided to arrange rooms and who would be staying with who. It was also decided that Suskian and Melina would be in their own room together and Ryu has his own room for now. The others are gonna be sharing rooms.

That Night

Melina steps out of the bathroom, clad in just a towel as she was drying her hair with a hair dryer and humming to herself.

"I will appreciate the small things you enjoy these days, beloved. Hair dryers are the work of the gods…" Melina giggled as she looked at Suskian as he slipped on a pair of black pajama pants, "You know… You don't have to slip on clothes when you go to bed… we are just gonna be having sex anyway…"

"We can hold off for tonight. I don't know if the walls are soundproofed," Suskian joked as he sat down on the bed. Melina removed her towel and showed her fit and slender body off to Suskian, who slightly blushed as she seductively walked over to him and got on his lap, kissing his neck.

"Oh, honey… I don't know… I'm quite horny tonight…" Melina told him seductively in a low tone. Suskian's tail wraps around her waist and he then held her hands as they kissed passionately.

"I know… But, I gotta be sure," Suskian said before there was a knock on the wall behind their bedframe, "Nope. Not soundproof…"

"Yeah, but I don't mind you guys fucking. It probably sounds hot. I'm used to listening to people have sex," Roberta's voice called on the other side of the wall.

"Is it too late to ask for a change?" Chris's voice asked.

"Too late, shorty. Gonna have to take one for the team. Besides… I jerk off to people having sex, so you're in the line of fire, so to speak…" Roberta said and Chris squeaked at that.

"See what I mean?" Suskian said and Melina covered her mouth before giggling.

"Suskian, I told you that this is an open marriage. I don't mind if anyone hears us. It just proves that no one can keep me away from you…" Melina said to him as she wiggled her hips on his lap and reached down to fondle his growing bulge in his pants. Suskian sighed and rolls his eyes at her before pinning her down on the bed. Melina giggled and wraps her legs around his waist.

"Now, ravage your wife to your heart's content…" That Night, barely anyone got any sleep from Melina's primal and lustful screams and the sound of the bedframe squeaking… As well as Roberta masterbating to the sounds of Suskian and Melina's wild sex session. Chris pretty much tried to sleep through it all, but it was a struggle. When the sounds of the primal sex ended, it was a few hours from morning.

Knock Knock!

"Suskian, Melina. You guys up?" Ryu's voice called from the other side of their door. Melina sat up and yawned, letting the blanket fall off her body and showing her nude body.

"Yes. What is it, Ryu?" Melina asked as she got out of bed.

"Get dressed. We have company…" Ryu said. Melina glanced at Suskian, who has scratches on his torso from the sex session last night. She shook him awake gently.

"Beloved, wake up. We have company… Let's go greet them," Melina told Suskian and he sat up, yawning while cracking his back.

"Hmm? Company? Who?" Suskian asked as he got out of bed.

"No idea. Rapi told me we had company… Let's go see who it is," Ryu said and Suskian began getting dressed as Melina slips on some clothes.

"Hopefully, this won't be a problem," Melina said seriously.

Suskian, Melina, and Ryu made their way to the foyer, where all their Nikke was waiting… Alongside with a short black and blue haired girl around Theresa's height and 2 Nikke, one short with pink hair and wore what looked like a dress shirt and black hotpants with a garter belt underneath and a taller black haired woman who wore what looked like domination gear.

"…Are we getting punished for making too much noise last night…?" Suskian asked nervously.

"No. But, you should keep it down next time," Rapi said seriously and Melina cleared her throat while nodding her head.

"Fair. Then, who is the lost children and sexy woman?" Melina asked and Suskian kept a straight face, despite laughing on the inside.

"You should learn to respect your superiors, rust bucket. And, you! You're a Commander, and you're fraternizing with your Nikke?! Have a little bit of class!" the black and blue haired girl chastised Suskian and Melina. Melina blinked a few times as Suskian looked confused.

"What's a rust bucket?" Melina asked in genuine confusion.

"Don't worry about it," Suskian said to her as he rubbed her arm, "And, no… My wife is not a Nikke. She's a human. Don't get it twisted, rude girl."

"I'm no girl, you insignificant boy! Don't you know who I am?" the girl asked in anger as she shot glares at Suskian.

"A Karen?" Suskian asked and IF snorted at that while Revy smirked at that, "I'm sorry, I have no idea who you are."

"That's Syuen, Commander Suskian. The lady we were talking about yesterday," Chris said as she looked at him. Suskian looked at Syuen in confusion.

"Wait, how old is she? She looks about maybe 13!" Suskian said in confusion.

"Don't you worry about that, you bastard! Learn your place, as your are insulting the C.E.O. of Missilis Industries!" Syuen raged at Suskian as she pointed at him.

"How can I when you're in punting distance?" Suskian asked with a smile. Syuen looked agast at this as Revy had the most shit eating grin on her face, seeing Syuen get taunted like this.

"I'll make sure you regret saying that! Yuni!" Syuen yelled and the pink haired girl steps up beside Syuen, "Make him kneel!"

"Yes, ma'am," Yuni said excitedly and she stared at him, and suddenly Suskian felt weak in the knees and he knelt on the ground, looking confused before standing back up, doing a few squats.

"Whoa. Why did I feel weak kneed there? That was weird…" Suskian said and everyone went silent at that. Melina rubs his knees and looked up at him.

"Did I go too hard on the pegging last night?" Melina asked him and he snorts at that.

"No. At least I don't think so," Suskian said, "I'm fine, for the most part. I don't know what that was."

"How did you shrug that off?! You're supposed to be on the floor, you damn primate!" Syuen yelled and when she said that… The temperature in the room dropped a few degrees as Melina wordlessly stood up and gave her a dark glare.

"Do NOT… Cross that line again, girl. You're not too high in the world to be humbled," Melina said lowly and dangerously. Everyone can feel the killer Instinct emanating from Melina and it was suffocating.

"Melina, it's fine. I'm okay, don't worry. I'm used to that, remember?" Suskian said calmly as he rubbed her shoulders, "Let her have her temper tantrum. It don't harm me none." Melina glanced at him and saw his smile, calming her down. She took a deep breath and the room temperature went back to normal and everyone that was affected by the killer Instinct took deep breaths, as if they were relieved to not die in that moment.

"You… Think you have the upper hand, don't you…?" Syuen asked nervously, trying to regain composure.

"What exactly are you here for? You know, Melina normally don't get that angry," Suskian said seriously.

"…I'm here to tell you that you have a mission. I need your teams to go hunt a special Rapture," Syuen said as she gained her confidence back.

"Rapture hunting? What exactly are we hunting?" Suskian asked as he folded his arms.

"It's code name is Chatterbox, a special talking Rapture. It is more powerful than you can possible imagine. I need it to study it and what makes it able to understand human language… That research can help advance my company a lot. I'm sending Wardress with you to hunt it. You have 2 days to find it, or you have to answer to me. Got it?" Syuen said haughtily.

"Could it kill you to say please?" Suskian asked.

"Why would I do that?" Syuen asked in an irritated tone.

"It's polite, first of all. And, we don't answer to you… We answer to Andersen," Suskian said as he leaned on a table.

"...Suskian, can we talk for a second?" Ryu asked and Suskian glanced at him before Ryu took him back for a one on one talk.

"What is it? Something wrong?" Suskian asked Ryu.

"…Something doesn't add up here. Why is the C.E.O. of Missilis coming here? Wouldn't Andersen told us she was coming?" Ryu asked Suskian.

"I know. But, I'm playing along because Melina could actually kill her if she messes with me, and Syuen doesn't know how dangerous Melina is by herself. If anything, I'm saving the brat when I don't need to," Suskian said seriously, "I'll talk with Andersen afterwards-" Then, the sounds of yelling was heard and a gunshot rang out. Ryu and Suskian looked at each other before rushing back over to see Melina on the ground, holding her left breast while grunting in pain.

"MELINA?!" Suskian yelped in shock as he checked on her and held her as she panted in pain.

"Why did that hurt?! Stupid brat!" Melina coughed and sat up.

"You're gonna listen when I tell you something!" Syuen yelled as she held what looked like a pistol in her left hand pointed at the left breast of the black haired girl. There was a bullet hole in her chest but she looked relatively fine.

"What the fuck?! What are you doing?! Why did you shoot your own Nikke?!" Suskian yelled and stopped when he saw that the others were on the ground in pain, also clutching their left breasts.

"It's Mihara! Her ability switches… Pain with someone else!" Revy yelled as she panted and glared at Syuen, "Is nothing sacred for you… Syuen?!"

"Shut up, you reject! I expect you all to follow my orders, whether you like it or not!" Syuen yelled at Revy.

"If I wasn't coded to never harm a human, I'd have killed your rotten ass by now for abandoning me!" Revy snarled at her.

"Oh? And, like your team… You're a disgrace. Just lie there like the dog you are!" Syuen told her and Suskian touched his necklace and it began to glow.

"First and last warning, Syuen… I don't want to harm another human. But, I will if I have to," Suskian told Syuen in a serious tone, "Tarnished: Remembrance Blade: Hand Of Malenia." A long bladed dirty gold blade appeared in his right hand and he stood up, pointing it at her, who had a shocked look on her face. Yuni, however… Had an awestruck look on her face.

"Hand of Malenia? From Elden Ring? How do you have a weapon form a video game…?" Yuni said excitedly as she stared at the Blade.

"Shut up and keep the others bound! You're only good for that, you damn rust bucket of bolts!" Syuen yelled at Yuni.

"Hey, racist! Keep those derogatory terms to yourself!" Suskian told her seriously, "Now, I'm gonna ask you to lower your weapon and leave."

"I'm not going anywhere until you are gonna accept my terms!" Syuen ordered as she was about to fire again on Mihara.

"We'll do it. Just calm down," Ryu said suddenly out of nowhere and Suskian stared at him incredulously.

"Well, at least someone has reason. Yuni, release the Nikke," Syuen said and the others were looking like they could move again.

"Wait. Apologize first," Ryu said seriously, "You took things too far by attacking the others, including Suskian's wife."

"Oh, you're giving me an order? Oh, that's rich. Fine, I guess you want some too… Mihara, switch senses with them both," Syuen told Mihara.

"But, they're also human-" Mihara said in shock and horror. Suskian took notice of the hesitation in Mihara and then glanced over to see Yuni look uncomfortable. He took special notice of that and filed it for later.

"Does it look like I care?! Do it! Yuni, make that one kneel!" Syuen yelled as she glanced at Ryu.

"Yes… ma'am," Yuni said and glanced at Ryu.

"…Yes, ma'am," Mihara said after a few seconds of hesitation. Suddenly, Suskian felt off as Ryu fell to the floor on his hands and knees. Syuen walked towards Ryu and steps on his hands, making him yelp in pain. Suskian was about to attack when… he was held by his neck by what looked like a black and white haired woman that towered over him.

"What the?!" he yelled, "I didn't even sense you were here…"

"I cant be tracked, sweetheart… Don't move, or I cut your neck," she said in a serious tone. Melina was still in pain, but she shot the black and white haired woman a death glare.

"Those who hurt my beloved… Will die a thousands deaths by the flames of my family name," Melina said in an eerie tone as her hands began glowing with golden flames.

"…Melina. Don't use the Giant flames… You know what happened last time," Suskian said fearfully as he stared at her. Melina gave him a weary look before snuffing out the flames.

"Sorry, beloved. I got overzealous. But…" Melina said seriously.

"It's okay. Just let me handle it," Suskian said and glanced back at the woman, "Trust me, I am saving you from dying today. Let me go."

"How?" she asked with a smirk before seeing that Suskian had not dropped his blade.

"I mean… You see it too, right?" Suskian said as he raised the blade to her head, "I can just expire you right now and not care about the consequences. You hurt my wife and threatened the lives of my team… Trust me, I got nothing to lose here. Try me." The seriousness in his words made the woman sweat as Syuen steps away from Ryu and fired 2 rounds into Mihara's abdomen. Suddenly, Suskian felt 2 stings in his stomach and Ryu yelled in pain as he held his stomach in pain. That's how she did it, huh? Suskian thought as he frowned, Been a while since I felt something that wasn't a Ki beam through my stomach. He scrunched up his face in confusion as Syuen fired a few more rounds into Mihara's abdomen. Ryu was yelling in pain as Suskian flinched. He sighed and quickly jumps back into a wall, surprising the Nikke that held him and slammed her headfirst into the wall. She yelled in pain and was knocked out after that, crumpling to the ground in a sitting position. Suskian groaned as he rubbed his stomach, a mild pain growing in his abdomen.

"Neat trick. Caught me off guard there. Switching pain with me and Ryu… that's a dirty thing to do," Suskian stated as he took out a Senzu Bean and ate, his pain going away instantly and he tosses one to Melina, who caught it and ate it. After Suskian ate his bean, the phantom pains went away. He took a deep breath and walked towards Syuen, who walked back away from Suskian towards Yuni and Mihara.

"Stay back, you! I'll shoot you instead! Mihara, swap back! Now!" Syuen yelled.

"Yes, ma'am," Mihara said and Suskian felt the weird feeling go away as he walked.

"You're that scared of me? Good, I want you to know that fear the next time you mess with mine," Suskian told her seriously as he stood over her and grabs her by her collar, kneeling down to her level, "I don't give a shit who you are… You EVER harm my wife or my friends again, I won't hesitate to rend everything you hold dear to embers in the wind. Do you hear me? Now, I believe you owe everyone an apology."

"…I… I'm so-" Syuen panicked and Suskian heard Ryu collapse on the floor.

"Ryu?! Melina, heal him! Quick!" Suskian yelled as he released Syuen.

"On it," Melina said and quickly rushed over to help Ryu. Syuen was sweating buckets as she trembled in fear. Suskian glared at her and scoffed.

"All you had to do was say please help me. This whole mess wouldn't have gotten this bad," Suskian told her seriously, "Get out of here. You're not welcome here anymore."

"…Damn primate," she mumbled and quickly left out, "2 days. Don't be late."

"Hey," Suskian said and Syuen turned to see the tip of the dirty golden blade in front of her node.

"You're pushing your luck, girl. Get out. NOW." Syuen ran out after that and Suskian sighed before calling back his blade and rushing over to check on the others.

"That… Was badass," Revy said as she slowly got up. Suskian took out a Capsule and clicked on it before tossing it into the air. A calming green aura surrounded the Nikke and their pain went away instantly.

"Whew. That was hairy," IF said as she stretched her body out.

"How the hell did you shrug off Yuni's ability but not Mihara's?" Launch asked Suskian.

"Dunno. Speaking of which…" Suskian said and glanced at the 2 in question, who was staring curiously at Suskian, "Why do you work for a lady like that? What do you get out of it?"

"That's classified," Mihara said as she folded her arms under her large bust. Yuni stared at the Blade and went up to stare at it before the looks of everyone made her back off slightly.

"Seems you are a fan of Elden Ring, huh?" Suskian asked her and she nods her head slightly, "Is it some sort of blood oath you have with her?" Mihara laughed and shook her head.

"No, nothing like that. We are more of her bodyguards… Well, former bodyguards," Mihara told him with a shrug, which confused him and he realized that they must be Wardress.

"Okay, I got it. Well, at any rate… For now, we have a mission to take care of. For your sakes, we better find whoever this Chatterbox guy fast," Suskian said seriously, "I wouldn't have even agreed had she not shot Melina and you, Mihara. It's still fucked up that she shot you."

"I'm used to it by now," Mihara said as she shook her head, "Curious. Why aren't you hostile towards us…?"

"I dunno, myself. Gotta be something about you 2 that got me intrigued," Suskian said honestly, which surprised everyone. What did that mean? Was Suskian seeing something that everyone hasn't?
