Curtain Call
Chapter 10
It had been a few days since I had seen or spoken to Brooke.
Between working at her store and preparing for the impending birth of the baby.
Brooke was busy which is why he left her to focus on all she had going on in her life.
No wanting to intrude. Meanwhile he was almost done with a rough draft he had created awhile back.
It started off as a few words written out and now it had grown into a full blown New novel.
(I'll be right there Luke. I just need to call back Julian. We've been missing each other all day.) Peyton explained.
(Take you're time. I'm not going anywhere. I've been looking forward to us catching up.) Lucas replied. Watching as she headed upstairs.
Peyton made her way through the hallway.
And soon into the bedroom her and Julian shared.
After going through her contacts. She was soon speaking to Julian.
(I've been wanting and waiting for you to come out here and see me.)
(What's the hold up?) Julian asked.
(Brooke is pregnant. I clearly forgot to mention it.)
(I've told you about how she grew up. Brooke is very hormonal and needy right now.)
(She's blown up and will only get bigger. I'll come out to see you as soon as I can.) Peyton insisted. As the call between them ended.
Peyton left the phone on her end table. And left the home to have lunch with Lucas.

Brooke returned from her early lunch. And re entered her store.
Her eyes wide at the sight in Victoria Davis.
(I learned about you're pregnancy. Through various social media posts.) (Who is the father? Or was this a one night stand?) Victoria asked.
(,That isn't you're business.) Brooke said.
(You aren't romantically involved with anyone. Haven't revealed a father. )
(You raising this child on you're own just isn't acceptable. It's humiliating)
(We have a reputation and status to uphold.)
(, You are our only child. How could you be so selfish and self involved enough to flaunt this pregnancy like you should be proud of it?) Victoria questioned.
Brooke felt all consuming emotion pour out of her.
(I love and want this baby more than you and Ted could imagine.)
(I have nothing to be ashamed or humiliated by.)
(I've found the life and love and family. I've wanted all my life.)
(Leave my store and don't come back.) Brooke proclaimed.
(I wish you were never born.) Victoria proclaimed.
Turning up her nose as she left.
Brooke took a breath feeling tears quietly fall.
As she felt kicks from within. Then pain that stopped her where she stood.
(Oh God!,ow!) Brooke exclaimed. Wrapping her arms around her belly.
She focused on breathing and talking to the baby boy inside her.
She decided work would have to wait.
(Hold on honey. Momma is going to get some help.) Brooke said. Attempting to calm him.
She felt herself begin to panic. Once she managed to drive home.
As the pain increased. She she felt her body hurt all over.
She focused on her breathing.
Getting out her cellphone as she called the person she needed.
(Lucas. I need you. Something is wrong. please. ) Brooke pleaded.
