Sakura hated the sound of that voice; she hated the way Karin spoke to her like nothing on the planet was wrong between them; she hated how fucking happy Karin always was. The homewrecking whore had been a thorn in her side for more than half her life now. An infuriatingly constant one as she insisted on coparenting her daughter.

That daughter, and her love for her stepmom, being the only reasons she replied as politely as she did to the approaching harlot.

"Karin. What are you doing here?" her tone was cold, the utter opposite of the chipper response.

"What do you think? Same as you! I'm waiting for my Uchiha princess to get back," she claimed, leaning casually against the pillar of the village main gate, relaxing casually a yard away from the medical master. "Three weeks, the longest she's ever been away from home! Oh, you wouldn't believe how much her siblings miss her; it's so sweet," she added, laying a hand on her cheek and swooning.

Sakura thought for the thousandth time about abruptly punching her in the face.

Full force, chakra-enhanced strength and everything.

"Yeah, that makes sense," she replied.

"Do you think she's been bunking alone all trip? Half that time was in a city, right? Do you think she took the chance to do some… exploring?" she asked.

"Oh hell, shut up,"

"What?! Come on, I'm curious, and it's not like I can talk about this sort of thing with her father," she lied casually. "She's a young woman now, an adult, with a jonin's pay. Besides, if you're old enough to spill blood, surely you can…. find some comfortat night, right?"

"I don't want to talk about this, least of all with you," she seethed out, staring at the woman she hated more than anyone else on the planet.

"Okay, okay, I'll change the subject. How's your love life? Kind of surprising a successful, beautiful gal like you never got remarried, I can't help but wonder if you're getting fucked on the sly by someone. Or a few someone's,"

"I'm not a whore," she spat back.

"No?" she asked, smile falling just a bit. "No, no you're way too tense, to sensitive on the subject; you haven't gotten any in years, have you?"

"Karin, I swear to shi-

"-should have guessed, I mean, who else could possibly compete with Sasuke? A fuck from him really blows most guys out of the water, especially most bar flies, I bet," seeing the rage practically radiating out of her toy of torment and not particularly wanting to make a scene or soil Sarada's homecoming, she cut to the chase. "You can fuck him again if you want,"

That took the wind out of her cheeks.

A confused look flashed across Sakura's face, giving Karin time to continue.

"Yeah, I'm infertile now and… I just feel so inadequate and it's affecting our love life and I worry he'll run off with another younger woman so, I want to do something special, something to make him happy," she explained, in a sense. Largely, she was lying, exaggerating, and trying to make Sakura see weakness where there was none. Though those emerald eyes remained guarded. "He agreed to it and everything, me bringing another woman home; I just thought I'd choose you since, you know-" she finished with a chuckle, winding up her final punch for maximum force. "-it's not like I have to worry about him leaving me or having an affair or something with you,"

Sakura felt so much unyielding hate, rage, and scorn that all she could do was smile sweetly.

"I'd be happy to help support your sex life, Karin," she agreed in an instant, already making plans in her head. Mentally running through her wardrobe as she continued. "Like you said, I remember Sasuke being a wonderful lover, after all,"

"Oh, and he's only gotten better with age, let me tell you! I'm the luckiest woman in the world," she added dreamily, happy enough to drop the conversation as she saw a certain figure appear on the horizon.

They could discuss the finer details later.

After all, Karin was the one with a house full of children to get rid of, if she really wanted this to be a proper surprise. They could always just go to a love hotel, but that was a little less special. Besides, there was that cabin just four hours out of town they'd purchased; the kids could always have a little sleepover up there. Between Sarada and Mora, not to mention the half-dozen other ninjas her children now consisted of, it was more than safe enough.

The kids would love it, save maybe the babies, but they'd be happy enough just to see Sarada after her absence to cancel it out. Maybe. She filed that plan away, deciding it was good enough.

There were more exciting aspects of the threesome to dwell on.
