It had been around half an hour, Giles was driving, Andrew was in the passengers seat and Willow was sitting in the back with Frankie. "Are we nearly there yet?" Andrew whined.
"Well, we're nearly at the airport." Giles answered.
"We have to go on a plane?" Andrew asked, "I thought we were driving.". Giles and Willow both gave hem confused looks and he turned away to face the window, embarrassed.
"You know, for a nerd," said Willow, "you're really not that bright."
"Well i have good fighting skills!" Andrew argued, "In the battle in Sunnydale, with all the bringers attacking I totally kept my cool and kicked their asses!"
"Uhuh." Willow responded, not convinced. "And yet you still let Anya die?". Suddenly, Andrew and Willow launched into a full-on shouting match, their voices crashing together in a garbled mess of half-sentences and random insults. It was like two broken record players trying to out-yell each other. No one could make out a word, but the sound of it was a symphony of petty complaints and exaggerated gestures.
"Oh children, ENOUGH!" Giles groaned, wondering how he was going to last another two months with them.
~
It was twenty minutes later and they were still arguing.
"Well you are the one who tried to end the world!" Andrew grumbled petulantly at Willow.
"Well atleast what I did was epic!" She retorted, "I'm not the one who unleashed hellhounds at a prom! Oh,and by the way....I WAS AT THAT PROM!"
"For the last time; that was Tucker!" Andrew yelled back.
"You still let Anya die!" yelled Willow.
"For God's sake, what happened to Anya was an accident!" Andrew yelled, defensively. "And she wasn't the only accident that happened that day!" He said, gesturing to Frankie.
Willow gasped, "You just crossed a line, buddy!" She yelled, Frankie began to cry. Willow stroked Frankie's head and repeated to her "Don't worry, sweetie, you're perfect! Andrew just isn't exactly sane." She looked at Giles and Andrew in the front, "See what you've done now?!" She whisper shouted, still stroking Frankie's head, "You made Frankie cry!"
"Oh, good show, Andrew." Said giles. He knew Frankie was much more likely crying because of all the yelling, but it seemed like a good way to get Andrew to shut up.
~
As they pulled up to the airport, Andrew suddenly jerked awake, wiping drool from his mouth as he got out of the car.
"That took so much longer than you said it would, Giles." He moaned.
"Well it's not my fault we hit traffic." Giles defended, reasonably.
"Honestly, Andrew. You're a bigger baby than Frankie." Willow said, Andrew stopped complaining.
~
When they finally got on the plane, Andrew looked shocked as they sat down.
"How come they didn't recognize me as a wanted criminal?" Andrew asked confused.
"I may have done a little...tweak to your I.D." Willow answered.
"But I thought you stopped magic when Frankie was born?" He asked.
"I made an exception." Willow responded, with a grin.
