1/19/2657- Major Pirate Bands Abandon Thrandis Nue Occupation

"Today, all vessels belonging to the Iron Hand pirate band left Thrandis Nue orbit after retrieving all their personnel from the planet's surface. They were quickly followed by the Turbulent Wakes, another one of the few bands with significant space forces, mostly their larger vessels in orbit. These two disertions account for over 70 percent of the pirate warship tonnage in the planet's orbit at day's beginning, a major loss to the occupation effort."
