Several hours later, Min had not returned to the ranch even though it had gotten dark out and the ranchers could barely see outside their gates.

"I'm worried, Pa," said Carlos as he sat on the porch with Miguel.

"Aunt Min should have been back by now," he said.

"Don't worry, I'm sure she's fine, Min probably lost track of time doing her research and is heading back now," said Miguel while putting a reassuring hand on his son's shoulder.

"He's right, Carlos, Min is much tougher than you would think," said Jon.

"And there is the proof of it," said Jenny who was pointing out a light in the distance that was growing closer.

"Aunt Min!" said Carlos as he took off to meet her at the gate.

"Sorry I'm late, I wanted to take the time to clean up after doing my tests," said Min. She had hopped off the bike and started walking with it after getting close to them.

"It's alright, but what did you figure out?" asked Jon.

"Things are worse than I had thought, those dinosaurs died of blight," said Min.

"That is bad," said Miguel who looked terrified along with Jon.

"What's blight?" asked Jenny.

"A disease that kills an infected dino within twenty four hours of symptoms, and they don't go peacefully as it's the most dangerous disease out there for them," said Min.

"There has to be something we can do to protect the dinos on the ranch at least," said Carlos while looking at the barns.

"There is a vaccine that can help them," said Miguel.

"But we don't have any of it so we will have to talk with Tara to put in an emergency order for it," said Jon.

"Not looking forward to that too much," said Min with an expression that said she was not too thrilled with the idea of seeing the other girl.

"It's in the past, Min," said Miguel.

"And we don't have any other choice," said Jon before heading for the ptero-barn in order to get the flyers ready.
