Chapter 7
P.S Author: English is not my native language and I use a translator, so there will be mistakes. I apologize for that.
I would also like to add that I know that magic in the Fate universe does not work as described in this fanfic. In my fanfic, this is a convention.
The sword from a different angle by kewes
(Emiya Estate, 23:20)
There were five people gathered in the living room of the Emiya Estate, one of whom was a Heroic Spirit. Back at the house, Waver drove the car to the parking lot and then entered the house with Gray, Shirou, Saber, and Reines. Before they began their conversation, they activated a soundproof magic barrier to ensure that everything would remain strictly confidential.
Shirou felt more and more uncomfortable with each passing second. The atmosphere was tense, as if something important was about to happen.
As Shirou was about to break the silence, the brunette spoke first,
"Allow us to introduce ourselves once more." "I am Waver Velvet, the current Lord El-Melloi II of the Clock Tower, a teacher of modern magic," he said in a confident voice, then pointed to the hooded girl sitting next to him, "This is Gray, my student from the class I teach."
He then turned his gaze to the young blonde sitting across from him, "And this is my 'sister' and the heir to the El-Melloi family, Reines."
Shirou decided to respond to the polite introduction with equal politeness, "I am Emiya Shirou. Saber's Master."
These words clearly caused a reaction in Waver, who opened his mouth to say something, but Reines beat him to it. She tilted her head to the side and asked with a slight smile, "Shiro, are you familiar with the name Kiritsugu Emiya?"
Shirou blinked in surprise, not expecting such a question, "Yes, of course. Kiritsugu is my adoptive father."
The answer seemed to pique Reines' interest, and her gaze became a little more intense.
After saying this, a mischievous smile appeared on Reines' face and she said,
"Okay, then we'll have another topic to talk about. But for now, let's get back to why we came here in the first place."
Shirou nodded and then asked,
"That's right, you said that you formed a bond with Saber, right?"
Saber, who had been standing by the wall until now, took a step forward, showing that she was listening attentively to the conversation.
Reines nodded calmly and continued,
"That's right. A few days ago, I began experiencing strange phenomena. Part of my mana was disappearing somewhere, and I began having strange dreams about a person who looked like your servant."
"And you came to me to somehow break that bond?" Shirou asked. Seeing that the girl nodded, he continued,
"Sorry for the inconvenience. I only recently became a master, so I don't really understand how such contracts work." He turned to Saber and asked, "Saber, do you know anything?"
Saber shook his head, then replied, "I know that severing the connection with Miss El-Mella will not be possible without serious consequences: either one of us will have to die, or my contract with you, Shirou, will have to be severed. Though, to be honest, it's for the best."
"What are you talking about, Saber-san?" Gray suddenly asked, breaking the silence that had fallen in the room.
"Since I have two masters now, I have more mana."
Shirou, surprised by this, immediately clarified, "What do you mean?"
At this point, Waver decided to intervene, "You didn't tell him?"
"Only partly," Saber admitted, then turned to Shirou and began to explain:
"Shirou, remember when we talked about how the more mana a servant absorbs, even through ordinary people, the easier it becomes for them?" Noticing the nod, Saber continued, "That's because we don't have real bodies. We need a Master as an anchor because we don't have real bodies. We're just souls that manifest through magic."
Shirou thought for a moment, then said, "But I didn't feel my prana leaving."
Saber sighed and replied, "That's because our contract is wrong, and there's no connection between us as there should be."
"What are you talking about? Why isn't there one?" Shirou and Waver asked at the same time.
Seeing everyone's interest, Saber continued to explain:
"When Shirou summoned me, it wasn't like usual. Lancer attacked him, thinking he was just a passerby who didn't know about magic. And during the battle, I was summoned without a spell or any preparation. Since the bond in our contract is incomplete, I apparently received a connection with Reines as an alternate source of mana for some reason. Although that shouldn't have happened."
After explaining, everyone was silent for a few seconds, and then Shirou asked:
"Can this be fixed? Our bond?"
Saber was surprised by these words, nodded, and then asked:
"Should I begin my preparations?"
"Please."
As Saber dematerialized and seemingly left the room, the blonde girl spoke:
"Heh, Mr. Emiya, are you really that upset that I'm connected to your servant?"
"N-No, it's fine. I just felt that you were uneasy about being involved in this.
"Oh, my, what a noble knight." Waver sighed at those words, and Shirou felt a shiver run down his spine. It seemed like she was praising him, but she spoke in a voice that did not inspire confidence.
"Okay, Mr. Emiya, let's talk about the second topic now. You see, your adoptive father, who participated in the Fourth Holy Grail War, killed my uncle and the then Lord El-Melloi.
Shirou was surprised to hear that his old man had participated in the previous Holy Grail War. On the other hand, he was the one who saved him from the fire. But Shirou felt that killing Uncle Reines wasn't all.
"But that's not all. You see, he also destroyed our family crest by killing my uncle."
Shiro's eyes widened when he heard those words. Destroying the family crest was the same as destroying the family it belonged to. Many thoughts started spinning in Shirou's head.
After catching his breath and calming down a bit, he asked,
"So... what do you want from me? I'm Kiritsugu's adopted son. I don't have the crest he had. With his death, the crest he had was also destroyed."
"Indeed. The crest that your father had was destroyed. However, that was only 12%. The remaining 88% is in the Clock Tower under the castle. If I may say so."
Shirou sighed, and then said,
"Within reason, I am willing to provide compensation if possible."
Reines smiled at this, and then said,
"That is good. Shirou Emiya, I am not a foolish girl, and I understand that you were not directly involved in this. I will not hold you responsible for this, since they knew and accepted the risks when they joined the Holy Grail War ritual. Furthermore, my brother was also responsible for my uncle's death by stealing the catalyst for summoning a servant. That event also resulted in some financial debts, and here you are, Lord El-Melloi II. But I need compensation, and I am glad that you are willing to meet me halfway. But your compensation will depend on how useful you are."
Kiritsugu told him about it. It was a spell used to create an unbreakable contract. It bound the souls of those involved in the deal. Shirou read the text that was on the parchment:
Shirou felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. He knew that this spell not only bound him, but also his fate.
At this moment, many thoughts were spinning around in Shirou's head.
Waver and Reines watched this calmly, as it wasn't every day that a person did Geis.
In fact, when Shirou looked at them, they were surprised that he had gotten ready and returned so quickly. After that, he asked,
"I take it this is a guarantee?"
Reines nodded with a serious expression and said, "That's right."
She then took out a knife, took off her glove, and to Shirou's surprise, cut her index finger and "signed" Geis on her parchment. At that moment, Reines' signature appeared on Shirou's parchment as well.
Then the same knife was brought to him. Shirou hesitated for a second, then looked at his hand, and then also pricked his index finger and signed his name with the blood that flowed out.
A second later, he felt himself being restrained. The girl sitting opposite him felt it too. He also saw several lines on his hand blink a couple of times, and then the feeling of being restrained passed.
It was silent for a few seconds until Shirou broke the silence:
"So now what do you want to know about me?"
The girl seemed to wake up after those words and said in a more relaxed posture:
"First, I want to say that I'm glad that this matter was resolved peacefully. And that's what I wanted to know, what you're capable of, Shirou."
She said, drawing out his name at the end.
"Well, I can use Reinforcement magic on other objects and myself, and I'm also quite good at projecting."
He fell silent after that, waiting for Waver and Reines to say something, but they didn't say anything, as if they were waiting for him to continue talking about his abilities, but he didn't continue. After a few seconds, Reines spoke up:
"So... that's... all you know, Shirou?"
He nodded sadly, and then said:
"That's right. Unfortunately, Kiritsugu didn't want to teach me magecraft, and when I finally convinced him to teach me, he could only show me projection and amplification, and then he died."
Reines' face, which had seemed disappointed a second ago, suddenly changed, and then she said:
"I see, you simply didn't have a teacher, and that's why you only know projection and amplification. I assume you've been practicing on your own since your adoptive father died."
Shirou nodded, and then said:
"That's right, for the past five years, with varying success. Although, it was recently discovered that I wasn't even using magecraft correctly."
"Wrongly used magic?" Waver asked curiously.
"Yes, until recently, every time I used magic, I created a new magic circuit. It was only after Saber was summoned that I activated my magic circuits."
Waver and Reins looked at him in shock after the 2 asked,
"So if I understand correctly, every time you use magic for the past 5 years, you create a low-damage magic circuit from your nerves?"
Seeing Shirou nod, she insists,
"And you are still alive and not crippled, not disabled, and your condition is fine."
Shirou said this as he said,
"That's right. Before Saber activated my magic circuits, I used this method and am quite alive and well. Saber said it was a miracle that I was fine with the construction, but I think he was exaggerating." Waver continued by saying, "No, Mr. Emiya, he's not exaggerating. It's truly a MIRACLE that you're okay." He said all this in a voice that made it clear to everyone that he had a headache.
After a few seconds, Reines began to speak:
"I take it you don't know your element and origin?"
Shirou nodded, then replied:
"No, but perhaps Saber does. Let's wait for him and then ask?"
"Yes, that would be wise. Let's wait for your servant."
"Then, would you like some tea while we wait for Saber?" Shirou suggested.
Reines looked back at her brother and hooded friend, then said:
"We don't mind, Shirou."
Saber's master stood up and went to the kettle to boil some water. Once the kettle was boiling, Shirou took out his best tea and asked if the guests preferred black or green tea. Reines and Gray chose black, while Waver chose green. Shirou also decided to order green.
As he served everyone tea, he noticed Waver throw something into his cup, then into Gray's and Reines' cups. Waver looked at the contents for a moment and took a sip. Gray and Reines followed suit.
A few seconds later, Gray, who had been silent for a while, spoke up:
"So, who is your servant, Shirou-san?"
"Uh... I don't really know," Shirou replied, noticing the shocked and questioning faces before quickly explaining:
"Saber asked me not to ask his personal name, as a powerful magus can read my thoughts."
Waver nodded at this, and then Reines said:
"To be honest, Shirou, your servant knows quite a lot about magic. I thought the Saber class specialized in swordsmanship."
"When Saber activated my magic circuits, he told me that in his past life, he was more of a magus than a swordsman," Shirou explained.
They all drank tea in comfortable silence for a few seconds until a thought occurred to Shirou, which he immediately voiced:
"And when Saber comes and we establish a connection... Do you have a place to stay for the night?"
"To be honest, we were thinking of staying at the nearest hotel," Waver replied to the teenager.
"Er... well, if you have nowhere to go, you can spend the night here if you want. This mansion is quite large, and I can lay out futons for you if you don't mind futons," Shirou suggested.
"We're from..." Waver began, but was interrupted by his "sister."
"We'll gladly accept your offer, Emiya-san. We're grateful for your hospitality. I understand that we can choose any room available?"
"Yes, just tell me where, and I'll give you futons."
After that, they finished their tea, and at that moment, Saber appeared, saying,
"Everything is ready, we can begin."
He noticed the copy of Geis lying on the table and asked,
"Did something happen while I was gone?", pointing to the document.
"Yes, you see, Saber, it turns out that my old man participated in the last Holy Grail War, killed the then Lord El-Melloi, and destroyed their magical crest in the process. But now we were able to come to a peaceful agreement," Shirou explained.
Saber's eyes widened at first, but he quickly calmed down and asked if he could look at the contract. Shirou moved the document, and Saber read it carefully and sighed. Reines then spoke,
"Since you're here, Saber, we'd like to know Shirou's origin and element."
Saber's eyes widened again, but Reines continued,
"Shirou already told us the circumstances under which he was "trained" in magic. We know that you activated his circuits, and you probably know his origin and element. We'd like to see if they could be valuable if they were trained properly."
Saber looked at Shirou as if asking for permission. Shirou nodded, and Saber sighed and replied,
"Swords."
Everyone looked at him in surprise, waiting for an explanation. Saber continued, "Emiya Shirou's element and lineage are "sword." In other words, he is an incarnation, or symmetrical magus. That means his specialty is extremely narrow."
"Oh, incarnation? That's very rare! But "swords"?" Reines' eyes sparkled.
"Yes, that's right," Saber confirmed.
"Um... Saber, what's my specialty? And how can it be useful?" Shirou asked.
Instead of answering, Saber headed to the kitchen. He began opening several drawers until he pulled out a knife. Walking up to Shirou, he handed the knife to him and said,
"Reinforce it."
"What? Why?"
"Just do it, and then hand it to them." Saber nodded towards Waver and Reines. "You may not understand, but they do."
Shirou, trusting his servant, closed his eyes and said, "Track."
A few seconds later, the item was reinforced. Shirou handed the knife to Waver and Reines, still not understanding what was happening.
As Waver and Reines began examining the knife, surprise showed on their faces. Saber then turned to Shirou and began to explain:
"Shirou, your specialty is enhancement and projection, and that gives you certain advantages," Saber began to explain. "You'll be far better at it than 99% of magi who try to master those techniques. But that will make most other magic, even mid-level ones, unavailable to you."
Waver nodded and added, "That knife... The enhancement applied to it is the best enhancement I've ever seen. I doubt even the Edelfelt family could do something like that."
"Really?"
"Indeed," Reines confirmed. "However, among magi, enhancement is considered a rather primitive magic."
Shirou didn't seem upset by those words. On the contrary, he was glad that at least he was good at something. But then Saber spoke again,
"That's not all. Shirou, please use structural analysis on this knife and tell us what you can find out about it."
Shirou picked up the knife and concentrated. Using structural analysis, he began listing,
"Material, composition, shape..." and then continued, "History: Made in the Spanish factory ProDecu in 1999..."
A few seconds later, he heard his name being called and opened his eyes to see the surprised faces of everyone except Saber.
"Um... Did I do something wrong?" he asked hesitantly.
Waver answered his question,
"No, it's just... Shirou, you told us the history of the item."
"Isn't that supposed to be it?" Shirou asked, puzzled.
Reines answered for Waver,
"No, Emiya Shirou, you see, structural analysis shouldn't show the history of the item you're analyzing."
When Reines finished speaking, Saber pushed the kitchen board towards Shirou and said,
"Now use analysis on this."
Shirou nodded and began, though he didn't understand why he was doing it.
But this time, he finished on his own. No one interrupted him, and everything happened faster. He understood why. This time, he didn't name the story.
The structural analysis didn't show the story.
The three people from the Clock Tower noticed this, and they all stared at Saber, who hurried to explain.
"You were able to read the history of the knife because it was conceptually similar to a sword. It also had a handle and blade like a sword. This item doesn't have that, so you weren't able to learn the item's history this time."
When Saber finished speaking, Waver started speaking at the same time:
"How do you know all this? You're Saber, not Caster."
"No, I'm Saber, but before that, I was also a magus for a long time before I became famous. And I'm also an incarnation like Shirou. Only I have the origin and the element 'weapon', not 'sword'. So I already know all this."
"I see, then you must be the best teacher Emiya-san can find," Reines interjected.
"Indeed. I plan to make him so strong during the Holy Grail War that he can defeat an assassin."
That was a serious statement. One might even say impossible. Reines immediately tried to figure out how exactly he would do it.
"And how will you do it?"
"You'll see," Saber replied mischievously. Which made Reines a little disappointed that she couldn't get more information from him.
After that, Saber clapped his hands and asked if they had any more questions. When they had no more questions, they went to Emiya Shirou's "workshop."
There, Reines and Waver's attention was drawn to the various tools imbued with magic, and they realized that they were the same tools that Shirou had been practicing with.
After that, Saber showed a dark magic circle and handed over a piece of paper, then said,
"In order to restore our connection, we just need to perform another "summoning", but this time I'm already incarnated. So read what's on the paper when I say so."
While Saber stood in the center of the circle, Waver, Gray, and Reines took their places behind Shirou, who stood in front of the circle. Saber nodded, and Shirou began to recite:
Silver and iron are the foundation,
Their brilliance symbolizes the purity of the soul.
They are the essence of the contract I make
with the one whom God has appointed as my Servant.
Hear me in honor of the glorious ancestors,
In honor of the Master who lives through the ages,
Let the hurricane carry you down,
Trust in his will now.
Open the Gate between the two worlds,
And make a clear path to my home,
Put all five elements into it,
Bring the Servant right to the threshold.
Do you entrust your Sword to others,
Which will become a weapon in the coming battle,
Which will ceaselessly strike the enemy,
And silently carry out my will?
Will you answer the call,
To help me find the Holy Grail?
To pass through six powerful enemies,
And destroy all the Evil in this world.
I am the man who will save this world,
To throw the suffering back into the ground,
But I can do nothing alone,
I need you to listen to me now.
What do you say, renowned Sword Warrior?
After all, it was not in vain that you ascended the throne of Heroes.
I summon you,
Come before me, Guardian of Balance!
As the spell was being chanted, the circle beneath Saber first began to emit a faint glow, and then the circle's brightness began to increase.
When the final words were spoken and the circle stopped glowing, no one could tell if everything had gone smoothly. So Shirou asked:
"Saber, did everything go well?"
He immediately heard the answer:
"I think so."
"That's good." However, Gray interrupted him.
"Um, Shirou-san, Saber didn't say anything."
"What? But..." However, Saber interrupted him.
"Everything went smoothly, Shirou. What you heard was a reading of our connection. We can now communicate telepathically."
"I see."
Seeing that everyone was silent, Saber clapped his hands and said:
"Well, that's enough for today. It's time for us all to go rest."
Everyone nodded, and then Shirou led the guests to choose rooms to lay out futons for them. Everyone was already tired, so it didn't take long.
Gray and Reines chose a room for two in an unoccupied part of the house. Waver chose the room next to Shirou and Saber.
After Shirou gave the futon to Waver, he went to make sure everything went smoothly before going to bed. He found Rin and Archer first. The former was already asleep, while the latter was simply watching from the rooftop under Rin's orders to prevent any random attacks.
As Shirou turned the corner to go to the other girls, he saw Reines opening every door as if she was looking for something at the end of the hallway.
"Reines-san, are you lost?"
She flinched, then turned around and looked,
"It's you, Shirou. Tell me, where can I wash up and clean myself up?"
"Oh, that's right, I didn't show you. Follow me."
As they walked to the bathroom, Shirou decided to strike up a conversation,
"Reines, can I ask you a question?"
"You already did. But you can ask me another one if you answer my question." She answered him with a mischievous smile. Seeing the nod, she asked,
"Say, why did you come to your senses so quickly and sign Geis? Isn't this your first time doing this?"
"I just thought it was the best I could do at that moment."
"Ho, I get it. Too bad."
"Too bad?"
"Too bad you got it so quickly. Your shocked expression was amazing."
Shirou shuddered at those words and felt a chill run down his spine.
"So, my question is, why did you spare me so easily? I thought that your family and you would hate Kiritsugu and me just by knowing this. But you gave me the opportunity to not be your family's enemy, and I feel like I got off very lightly."
"Ho, are you a masochist, Emiya Shirou? To answer your question, I didn't see the point in killing, and like I said, it was your father's fault, not yours."
"I'm not a masochist! I just felt like I got off lightly. And thank you, Reines."
"You're welcome."
When Shirou brought her to the bathroom, he asked if the futons were okay before leaving. He could have given her more. But Reines mockingly asked,
"Emiya-san, you care so much about us even though we got you into debt. What's the point? Are you planning on doing something disgusting to us? After all, you have a servant, and there are two beautiful girls here. And I was just starting to think you were a good person."
Shirou blushed and said,
"N-no, I just feel like it's right. After all, you came all the way here. And I know I can help."
Reines smirked and said,
"I see."
After that, Shirou asked one last time if they needed anything else. After hearing a negative answer, he went to his room after bidding Reines goodnight, but there was no answer when he left.
He then went to bed and immediately passed out as soon as he lay down. It had been a harder day than usual.
(Emiya Estate, Morning)
Shirou woke up earlier than usual, feeling like it was going to be a hard day. Upon entering the guest room, he saw an unusual sight: Reines was sitting in a chair with a cup of tea, and next to her stood a girl dressed as a maid. She was clearly not human. Made of an unknown material, her eyes were always closed, and her movements were perfectly timed. Shirou froze for a moment, unsure of how to react.
He was surprised not only by the new being in the room, but also by the fact that someone had gotten up before him. However, his thoughts were interrupted by a voice.
"Good morning, Emiya," Reines said with a slight smile.
"This is Trimmau, my mystic code," Reines said, pointing at the girl.
As soon as she was introduced, the mystic code bowed gracefully, then said in a rather lively voice,
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Emiya."
"Me too," he responded automatically.
After that, he went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He still had to prepare food for 7 people and 2 Heroic Spirits.
A few minutes later, the others began to arrive in the living room. Gray was the first to arrive, greeting Shirou modestly, followed by Waver, who looked a little annoyed at waking up early. When Shirou turned around to greet them, he noticed that Trimmau was no longer with Reines. Rin was the last to enter, swaying from her sleep.
"Oh, Tohsaka-san, you don't like waking up early, do you?" Reines remarked, looking at her with a twinkle in her eye.
Rin just snorted, clearly not in the mood for a sarcastic response.
A few minutes later, the silence was broken by Taiga's loud voice, appearing at the door with a smile on her face.
"Shiro! I'm here. What's for breakfast?"
"Good morning, Fuji. Breakfast will be ready soon." The older girl walked up to Shirou and watched him for a while, and when she turned to walk towards the table, she noticed unfamiliar people sitting at the table.
Then a scream was heard.
"Shirou, what is the meaning of this? Who are all these people?" Taiga began to worry, trying not to disturb Shirou as he prepared breakfast. She also noticed that he was cooking much more than usual.
At that moment, a man from the unknown group, whom Taiga had never seen before, approached her.
"Sorry for the intrusion. My name is Waver Velvet, an old acquaintance of Kiritsugu. I am currently working as a teacher in London and came here for work. We decided to visit Kiritsugu, but unfortunately, I learned that he had passed away. Shirou kindly offered to let us stay for a while."
"And these two young ladies?" Taiga asked, nodding towards Gray and Reines.
"This is my student Gray, she volunteered to help me." The young girl squeaked as her mentor pointed at her.
"And my sister, Reines. She's never been abroad before and asked me to take her along."
Taiga nodded thoughtfully after hearing the explanation, then turned her gaze to Rin.
"What are you doing here, Miss Tohsaka?"
"I'm renovating the house," Rin answered shortly.
"Shirou told me I could stay with him until it was all over."
Taiga just chuckled, clearly not entirely satisfied with the explanation, but she didn't argue.
A few minutes later, Sakura peeked her head into the house, clearly not expecting to see such a crowd of people. Shirou briefly explained the situation to her, and she smiled, although she was tormented by conflicting feelings inside. She joined Shirou in cooking. Although no one noticed, when they finally sat down to eat breakfast, she began to throw angry glares at Rin and Reines.
Soon, breakfast was ready, and the guests sat down at the table. The food prepared by Shirou and Sakura was truly admired.
"You are truly a master of the kitchen, Emiya," Reines praised, a mischievous smile appearing on her face.
Waver, noticing this, flinched, but remained silent, deciding not to delve into it further.
After breakfast, Shirou went to school with Rin, Saber, and Archer. He warned the guests that they could stay home. Sakura and Taiga left much earlier. However, during the long break, he was surprised to see Reines, Gray, and Waver at the edge of the school grounds. It was lunch time, so Shirou went down to them.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, approaching them.
"We wanted to take a short walk when Reines' mystic eyes activated uncontrollably as we approached this school," Waver replied, turning to Shirou.
When Shirou looked into Reines' eyes, he saw no mystic eyes, only her normal sky-blue eyes.
Shirou shook himself, then said,
"But Reines' eyes are normal."
"I used special drops to make the eyes normal," the blonde quickly explained.
However, at that moment, Waver became serious and said,
"Shirou, it's not normal for her eyes to react like that. I have a suspicion that there is a barrier on the school grounds."
Hearing this, Shirou immediately became serious.
"A barrier? But for what purpose?"
"For anything. From trapping someone here to sucking out magical energy. We need to erase the seals that are holding the barrier in place."
"Yes. We'll handle this with Tohsaka," Shirou said.
As soon as he said that, the air around him became heavy. A red barrier enveloped the entire school grounds.
Everyone felt weak as Saber materialized next to them and said,
"That barrier is the Servant's Noble Phantasm. We need to go and look for the Servant, Shirou."
Shirou nodded at Saber's words. He and the others headed deeper into the school. Along the way, Reines took out a test tube of gray liquid and, pouring it onto the floor, summoned Trimmau.
"Enter battle mode," Reines ordered.
Trimmau nodded, her hands instantly turning into giant hammers.
As they went up to the second floor, Tohsaka and Archer came down from the third floor to meet them.
Shirou opened his mouth to say that their main goal was to find the servant who did all this, but he was interrupted by strange shadows. Bone monsters began to emerge from them and immediately attacked.
Saber and Archer immediately engaged in battle, instantly destroying the creatures nearby. However, the shadows spawned new monsters, giving them no respite.
Waver surveyed the scene and quickly came to a conclusion:
"They are familiars! They were summoned by a servant or a mage."
Waver's words made everyone turn around. Only now did they realize that they were surrounded.
Archer and Saber took up positions on either side of the group, preparing to defend them. Trimmau stood next to Reines, holding her hammers at the ready, protecting her mistress.
"They won't end until we destroy the source," Waver said tensely.
"Then we need to break through," Tohsaka said resolutely, already preparing a spell.
Shirou gritted his teeth, feeling the weight of responsibility.
"Saber, Archer, cover us! We'll find who did this!"
The servants nodded, and the battle continued.
Gray, seeing how the group was dealing with the endless stream of familiars, decided to do her part. She pulled out a strange cage from under her cloak with a small black box inside and began to speak.
"Add. Restrict the first one le…"
Her voice trailed off as Waver placed a hand on her shoulder and said quietly but firmly, "No, Gray. There's not enough room to swing the scythe. It might hit one of yours. Leave it to Saber and Archer."
Gray hesitated, but eventually nodded and hid the box back.
After a few powerful attacks from Saber and Archer, the group agreed to fight their way to the suspected location where the servant responsible for the barrier might be hiding.
On their way, they looked into the classroom where Taiga and Sakura were hiding and confirmed that they were okay. Both were scared, but physically unharmed.
When the group finally reached the classroom, they were greeted by a strange sight: the desks were overturned, as if a hurricane had passed through. Matou Shinji, Shirou's friend, was standing against the wall. Next to him was a servant with long purple hair. She looked injured, her shoulder was bleeding.
Shirou immediately realized: Shinji had activated the barrier. But it was hard to believe.
"Shinji... why?" he said with bitterness in his voice.
However, his attention soon turned to the second person in the room. It was a tall man in a formal dark green suit and tie. There were traces of blood on his left hand, presumably from the wound he had inflicted on Rider.
The man turned around, and Shirou and Rin simultaneously exclaimed in shock:
"Tacher Kuzuki?!"
Information about servant(Saber):We didn't learn anything new, that's why there are no statistics.
