Merry Christmas!! Or Happy Holidays!! I hope you are all doing well. Here we have a new chapter and the Christmas special in one. Time to kick off the Vilgax Invasion arc!!! Hope you all enjoy!!! Bye!!!
Chapter 10: The First Wave
Tennyson Household
Ben sat in the bathtub, which was full of ice water after his training day. His body was aching after the hell Retsu put on his body. The ice is known to help muscle recovery and heal. Ben knew he needed the training, but surely it was almost complete.
The hero sighed as he lied back, taking in the cold water to soothe his joints. Thankfully he was home alone at the moment so he could enjoy the peace and quiet. After he got out of the bath, he wrapped himself in a towel and went to the fridge to get some orange juice.
As he was drinking, he closed the door and behind the fridge door was Hope. "Heya Benny!!" She beamed.
Ben nearly had a heart attack and spilled the juice. "You scared the hell out of me!" He said as he cleaned up the juice. "Is everything okay?"
"I'm here for our date, remember?" She giggled as she sat on the counter.
Ben had forgotten. "Shit…I've been so busy-"
She cut him off. "Don't be sorry. With everything going on in your life, I don't blame you. We can cancel if you're not into it anymore."
"No. We can still go. Just let me go get dressed." He said as he went to the bedroom to get his clothes on. He dropped the towel and got his clothes on, but forgot to close the door.
Hope got a little peek of him nude and giggled to herself. Damn, he was immaculate. Still hard to believe he was once a scrawny kid who annoyed the hell out of her and became this handsome, heroic man.
"Hey!! No peeking!!" He closed the door.
This caused Hope to chuckle. "Sorry, Benny. Couldn't help it."
Ben got dressed and stepped out. "Ready to go?"
Hope smiled and nodded. "Yes."
The two went out to a cozy pizza joint.
Hope took a bite of the pizza and smiled. "Mmmm so good!!" She ate.
Ben chuckled as he ate a slice. "Best pizza place in Bellwood.."
Little did they know….
Something was coming.
At Plumber HQ
The teleporter activated. From it came Mazuma. She had been away on Galvin Prime for the past few months to train and get calibrated. She was now the perfect assistant for Ben. She was now wearing a black outfit with green accents.
Following her was Azmuth and Eunice.
Azmuth said. "Take us to Max. He has to know before the invasion starts."
Mazuma led the Thinker and Eunice to the main room.
Max was at the main computer talking to Patilday about a recent arrest. He looked as he saw Azmuth approaching. He told Pataliday to go process the criminals.
When the Piscciss Volann left, Max walked up to Azmuth. "This better be good."
"It is. There is an invasion force on the way." Azmuth answered as Mazuma held him up.
"We know. Vilgax is about to attack with a Celestial." Max replied.
Azmuth shook his head. "He is sending a ground force to weaken Earth's defenses to make way for his arrival." He explained.
"It is true, Magister Tennyson." Mazuma chimed in.
Max sighed and nodded. "I'll send everyone in. Where are they landing?"
Eunice answered. "Bellwood. In one hour."
Max nodded. "Mazuma, you will go to Bellwood to get Ben. I'll send the call out and everyone else will meet you there."
"Yes sir." She put Azmuth down and went to leave before Azmuth stopped her. He gave her something. "Give this to Ben. You know what it is."
She nodded and went to the teleporter.
Eunice said. "Azmuth, we have to get back. We must prepare Galvin Prime for the attack."
Azmuth nodded and they left.
Max called out to every ally Ben had.
All hands on deck.
Meanwhile…
Mazuma had arrived at Bellwood and located Ben. He and Hope had just finished their food and were leaving.
She went to him. "Ben, we have to talk."
"Mazuma? When did you get back?" He asked.
"There's no time. There is something coming before Vilgax. He's sending a small force here to weaken Earth." Mazuma told him as she pointed to the sky.
Ben looked up and at that moment, here they come…
Dozens of ships came down towards the city. People began to run away as they were speeding.
Then around him, blue portals began to open. All of his friends came out.
From one of them came Gwen, who was looking very pregnant, Kevin, Rook, Lucy and Cooper.
From another came Manny, his girlfriend, Swift, Leander, and Alan.
And from the last one came Ben's lovers.
Ben said. "Where's Evie?"
"She's at your mom's house." Attea answered as she held her blaster.
"And we're here to help you, Ben." Gwen smiled.
Looma cracked her knuckles. "Let's crush these intruders."
Ben nodded and turned the dial of his Omnitrix. Mazuma gave him something. "Azmuth sent this." It was a new DNA sample for the Omnitrix.
He smiled and put it on. It spoke. "New DNA detected. Transformation activated."
Ben was engrossed in a green light as his form changed.
Everyone watched as Ben transformed into a new alien.
It was a humanoid creature made of energy, but wore rock armor, which had what looked like moss on it. His eyes were green and he had energy spikes on his shoulders.
"Wow...I'll call you…Shock Rock!!" Ben said.
Gwen and Kevin face palmed at Ben's naming attempt.
They all stood together as the ships landed and dozens of troops came from them.
The battle began. Laser beams, magic, hand combat. There was a lot of destruction.
Ben shot electric beams from his hands and clobbered a few. He used his electric beams to lift objects and throw them at the troops.
Gwen and Hope combined their magic to repel the enemy forces back, which sent them flying.
Manny and Looma used their strength to barricade the enemy off. It was holding up the best it could.
Cooper used pieces of the alien ships to make a giant mech suit, crushing down upon the bad guys.
Kevin was bashing the bad guys heads in while Alan was throwing fire in his Pyronite form.
Swift and Leander were blasting beams at the enemy while Helen sped through taking their weapons.
Rook used his Proto-Tool staff and began to fend off the attackers.
Shar, Attea, Julie, Mazuma and Ester were blasting them with blasters.
Julie was in her armor made by Ship. "Hold on, Ship!! We can do it!!"
"Shiiiiip!!" Ship barked.
Lucy was using her mud powers to sling the bad guys around and threw them into the sky.
The team was holding their own. The battle went on for a good hour.
But soon they were getting tired. The soldiers kept coming.
Gwen's pregnancy weakened her and Kevin had to protect her.
"There's too many of them!!" Mannyelled.
"We must retreat!!" Shar shouted.
Ben had to end this quick so…he pulled out a heavy hitter.
He hit the dial on his chest and transformed into…
"Clockverk!!!" He shouted as he turned into the gold robotic alien with clock parts. His chest had the Omnitrix dial and green gears. (Btw it's Clockwork, but I wanted to mimic the German accent.)
He fired his beam, capturing every soldier, every ship in it and fired it into the sky, obliterating them.
Ben turned human and sighed. "We…did…it." He was exhausted.
He nearly dropped, but Ester caught him. "Let's get to the headquarters. Your grandfather will want to know…"
Ben nodded as the team made their way to the base.
Plumber HQ
Ben was relaxing on a couch as he had his head on Looma's lap, debriefing Max on how the invasion defense went.
The Princess stroked his hair as he told Max everything.
Max nodded. "Azmuth did some calculations. We should have another week before Vilgax arrives. Just enough time to celebrate the holidays."
"We still have lots of wrapping to do…" Looma sighed.
Ben smiled as he looked up. "We'll get it done."
"Just be ready." Max warned. "It could happen at any time."
Ben nodded. "We will, Grandpa. Don't worry."
Max left them be and they got up. "Let's go home. We have a lot to do." Ben said.
Looma nodded and they left. The rest of them followed.
When they got home, Ben called Gwen to make sure she was okay. Gwen assured him that she was fine and just tired due to being pregnant.
"Just please keep me updated." Ben said as he was getting the wrapping paper out of the closet.
Gwen smiled. "Of course...dweeb." She teased.
"Thanks, doofus." He chuckled and hung up. He brought the wrapping paper to the living room where the girls were helping wrap Evie's gifts before she got home.
Looma had some issues due to her not doing it before. Ester showed her how to do it.
Helen was using her super speed to wrap them fast.
Attea gave up after the first two failed.
Shar was doing well, as was Julie.
Mazuma wrapped them perfectly.
Ben's were a little janky, but he did a pretty good job.
They put the presents under the tree, which they had put up the day before.
The door opened and in came Evie. "Daddy!!" She smiled as she hugged Ben.
Ben caught his daughter and smiled. "Hey lovebug!!" He hugged her.
Sandra entered behind. "Hey, Ben. Hey girls." She smiled.
"Hey, Mrs. Tennyson." The girls beamed.
"Oh no need for the formality. Just call me mom." She smiled.
Most of them grew up without mothers so this made them smile.
Ben asked his mother. "How was she?"
"She was fine. But very hyper, after a while she burned it off and took a nap." Sandra explained.
Ben nodded and hugged his mother. "Thank you."
Sandra gave him a hug back and left as she had errands to run.
Evie was still tired so Ester went to tuck her in.
"Noooo…I'm not tired…" Evie whined as she rubbed her eyes.
Ester chuckled. "Obviously, sweetie." She kissed her forehead.
Evie slowly began to fall asleep, holding her new doll. Ester got up and left the room.
When she came back to the living room, Ben was cleaning up the wrapping paper as Helen and Attea were baking cookies.
Ben looked up. "Is she asleep?"
Ester nodded. "Yes. All snug in her bed."
He smiled. "Good…now let's finish up and get to bed...tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we have to get Evie's big gift."
The girls nodded and they headed to the bedroom.
Meanwhile….
Vilgax groaned in pain as he had the implant connected to his brain. This would allow him to control the celestial body and command it to his will.
His scientist had opened Vilgax's skull to integrate it with the brain. Once done, he closed Vilgax's skull cap and said. "It's ready, Lord Vilgax."
Vilgax got up and looked at the celestial. As he lifted his arm, the being lifted its arm as well.
He started to laugh. "Now…the galaxy will feel my wrath. Starting with Tennyson and his worthless planet. I will gut his family in front of him..." He had an evil smirk. He turned to his lieutenant. "Ready the armada. It is time."
The lieutenant nodded and went to prepare.
Vilgax gazed upon his new weapon. His time would be coming…
Earth, Christmas Eve
Ben and Rook were finishing up on a job as a gang of robbers had attempted to rob a bank.
Ben was in his Lodestar transformation, magnetizing the bad guys. "Did you really have to rob the bank on Christmas? That's going to put you on the Naughty list."
Rook tied them up and notified the Plumbers of the robbery. After that, he turned to Ben. "Looks like our job is done. We should leave and let the officers take it from here."
Ben nodded as he turned human. "Ya, we gotta get home for Christmas."
The two left in Rook's truck and began to talk about their plans tomorrow
Rook nodded. "It is Rayona's first Christmas and she said she has a…"big surprise" for me in the morning. What could that mean?"
Ben chuckled. "Seems she has a big gift planned for you."
Rook then said. "I assume you and your lovers have plans?"
"The plan is to open gifts and relax all day. Mom and Dad want to come over to celebrate with us, as well as bring the gifts." Ben explained. "It's going to be fun." He smiled.
Rook smiled back and the two drove on.
Tennyson Household
Hope was visiting as she didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with. Ben talked with the girls and they agreed she could stay.
She had brought gifts for everyone and put thought into them. She even brought a dessert. Some brownies.
The door opened and Ben came inside. "I'm home!!" He smiled as he put his coat up.
Julie smiled and kissed his cheek. "Welcome home, sweetie."
He chuckled. "Has Hope arrived?"
Julie nodded. "Yes. She's distracting Evie with magic tricks." She gestured over to the couch.
Evie was enamored by Hope doing magic. She was making these energy animals with her pink magic. The little girl clapped and laughed as Hope did it. Ship was asleep in the corner in his bed.
Ben smiled and said. "Seems like they're getting along."
Julie nodded. "She really likes her. And Hope seems to like you…"
Ben sighed. "You don't think…I'm overdoing it with all of you?"
"Benjamin Kirby Tennyson, where did you get that idea?" Julie scolded.
Ben sighed. "I…sometimes I feel like I forced you all into this...that you think I'm some selfish perverted man…" He looked down. He had this feeling for a while. That he forced the girls to be with him.
Julie touched his cheek. "Look at me." She said sternly.
Ben looked up and Julie kissed him deeply, causing him to blush.
Julie broke the kiss and said. "You did not force us. We chose to be with you because you treat us like equals and show us the love we deserve. I left you for a French tennis player who ended up cheating on me and I regretted it. You showed me that I deserve to be loved…as well as the other girls. You did the same thing for Ester when you got her out of that abusive relationship. You gave Mazuma another chance at life when you saved her from the garbage." She told him.
He listened intently.
"You are the least selfish and perverted man I know. You, Ben, are our everything." She smiled.
Ben almost teared up and hugged Julie tightly. "Thank you…I needed to hear that…"
Julie held him close. "You're welcome..."
At that moment, more started to hug. It was the other girls. They heard everything and gave Ben a comforting hug.
It was then all of his insecurities just went away. He didn't care what others thought. He had these beautiful women who loved him for him.
Hope watched from the couch as she smiled, rubbing her arm. If only she could be a part of it…but Ben probably had enough.
Then she felt herself getting pulled into the hug by the group. She melted into the hug, smiling. It was as if she belonged there.
They stayed like that for a few seconds until they broke the hug.
"Alright." Helen smiled. "Let's eat."
Dinner was simple. Pizza as no one felt like doing dishes tonight and they had a big lunch/dinner planned the next day since Sandra was going to be cooking.
After dinner, Ben and Attea gave Evie her bath, got her pajamas on her and tucked her in.
Evie looked up at her dad with those green eyes. "Daddy, is Santa really coming tonight?"
"Yes, love bug. But only if you're asleep." Ben kissed her forehead.
Evie nodded as she fell asleep. "Good night daddy and momma Attea…" She closed her eyes.
Ben and Attea smiled and left the room. Helen had put out the milk and cookies. "So…is he actually coming or is it something you just told her?" Attea asked.
Hope chimed in. "Santa is very real. He's from Leger Domain, once a very humble toy maker. He wanted to spread the joy so he explored beyond the realm. And now…he delivers all over the universe."
"But how?" Helen asked.
"How else? He has a rune that allows him to move faster than light. Every hour, he visits billions." Hope explained further.
Ben crossed his arms. "The summer I found the Omnitrix…I dealt with a Christmas themed bad guy. Turns out it was a misunderstanding and we helped him deliver toys all over the world."
Helen, Julie and Ester looked over.
"So that explains the night I got that gift." Julie said.
"I thought it was someone in the village." Ester replied.
"I swore it was Pierce." Helen rubbed her chin.
Ben replied. "Anyway...let's get to bed...if it's true, then I don't want to get in his way." He joked.
They went to bed.
Next Day, Christmas Morning
The cookies were eaten and the milk had been drunk. Santa had come and left TONS of gifts under the tree.
Evie burst into the room. "Wake up!! It's Christmas!!!"
The adults were still sleepy. Ben opened one eye. "Five more minutes, love bug." He went back to sleep.
Evie huffed and the girls got up. Looma lifted Ben, smiling. "Come in, beloved. It's time for Christmas."
Ben rubbed his eyes and nodded. "Okay…" He smiled.
They went downstairs and it was time for gifts.
Everyone got so much good stuff. Ben got some Sumo Slammer collectibles. Ester got a new coat, since her old one was wearing out. Helen got some new roller skates that retracted into shoes. Attea got some new goggles. Looma got a new armor set. Julie got a brand new tennis gear set since she had left her old one in France. Hope got a new coat and robes that matched her perfectly. Shar got a new purse to help her fit in more. And lastly, Mazuma got some new parts to help her feel more human.
Ben had a special gift for Evie. He gave her a metal sphere. "Open it." He smiled.
Evie opened the ball and inside...was an Omnitrix. One that looked like his when he was a boy. Instead of black and green, it was pink and blue. Her very own colors.
"Really?!" Her eyes lit up.
Ben smiled. "Yes…I figured it was time to start you in the family business."
She hugged her father and put the watch on.
"We'll go try it later." He told her as he kissed her forehead.
Her mothers smiled.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Ben went to open the door and it was his parents.
Sandra smiled. "Hey, sweetie." She hugged her son.
"Hey mom…" He hugged her back.
Carl smiled. "We brought gifts and food."
"Well come in. The girls and I are happy to have you."
Sandra gave them all their gifts: handmade sweaters, which they wore all day. They watched Christmas movies and had a big meal, which filled everyone up.
It was a good day and when it ended, Carl and Sandra said their goodbyes and left.
After everyone settled in, Julie said. "Ben…there's one more gift we almost forgot." She smiled as she handed him a small box.
Ben raised an eyebrow and opened it. His eyes lit up in shock.
It was a positive pregnancy test…
