The move! Thursday...
After all the excitement, and the promise of a mountain of paperwork on Monday for all of them, Nick and Judy returned home, while Lizz and Mike returned to the Wolford estate. Morning, as it always does, came far too soon for all the mammals in question, even the normally morning mammals like Judy, especially with their unexpected late night.
Stretching at the sound of his alarm, Nick wrapped himself back around Judy, nuzzling the top of her head and kissing the base of an ear. "Time to get up, sleepy rabbit."
Groaning into his chest, Judy sighed. "Is it morning already?"
"Almost eight thirty. I heard your phone go off about twenty minutes ago, probably an update on how soon they'll be here."
"You're right." She stretched as well and yawned. "If it wasn't for this move, I would be really cross with you. But we need to be ready."
Uncurling himself from her and getting up, Nick stretched, teasing her with his tail. "I'll clean up real quick and then make breakfast."
Judy yawned again. "Okay, love. Make something special as our next meal will be in our new place." Pausing, Judy looks around. "You know... I am just realizing that this place, this apartment that has been our home from before we were even officially together, will no longer be. So let's make our last meal here something memorable."
Standing in the door to their bathroom, Nick nodded, looking back at Judy. "I know. There are a lot of memories here, but we are going to get to make even more memories in our new home, with our kits, and in a complex where we won't have to worry about our kits. Where they will have other kits to play with that will not judge them for being from a mixed species home or being hybrids."
Judy laughed lightly. "Here I thought that foxes were supposed to be sentimental and all that about their dens, not wanting to leave them."
Grinning himself, Nick blew her a kiss. "Oh, I'm very sentimental. It will be a change, and I will miss this place. A lot. Yet, it is what is best for my family, and that is also part of the fox instinct thing. A move to a new, larger den is not something to fight against, when it is needed for the best of my mate and kits. If anything, the opportunity to make this new place into a proper den for my mate and expanding family is an even stronger drive. I feel excited. It's hard to explain love, but it feels good. Nervous without question, but good too.
Yes, there is the part of me that wants to hold onto this den, because it has been my home, with my mate, for so long. It is where we became a family. Where we created the family that we are about to have. It is where we laughed, cried, argued, and truly became mates. Every wall and surface has memories attached to it."
Judy giggled. "Some more than others."
Chuckling, Nick nodded and continued. "That wall just inside the door I may miss the most." Giving her a wink. "It will always hold a special place in my heart. Always. But our future together as mates, with our expanding family, and our kits. That overrides things. It feeds from the drive to protect my mate, to provide for my mate, and now my kits. Drives me to find a larger, better, safer place. The new place checks all those boxes, and then some."
Judy had sat up and was sitting on the edge of the bed with a warm smile, a happy tear dripping down her cheek. "Oh, love… I think I get it Nick, and I kinda feel the same way. Perhaps not as strongly as you do as a fox, but a larger burrow, to keep my kits safe with my mate, is super important to me. So you do you, my fox. You provide that larger, safer den, and your mate will follow you happily to this new place where we will raise our family together."
Giving Judy a grin, he rushed back over to her and kissed her deeply. "Thank you, Judy." Then turned and ran for the shower.
Judy got up, and checked her phone. Seeing that it was in fact a message from the caravan of her siblings. They expected to reach the city at about ten, so her estimate of ten to eleven seemed to be proving out. She then followed her fox into the bathroom. After finishing her business, she watches his silhouette in the shower doors. "You know. I should flush the toilet as punishment for waking me up."
Nick stopped and clearly looked at her from inside the shower. "You wouldn't!"
"I would, but I won't. If only because you were only doing what is best for your mate. Now, move over." Judy pushed into the shower with Nick. "I need a shower too, and I want some attention from my fox. The family is probably going to be here around eleven or so, so we have time."
Nick grinned as the door to the shower closed again, his eyes dragging over his gray furred mate, and her large pregnant belly. She was still beautiful to him, no matter what, and he was ready and willing to show and prove that to her whenever he was given the opportunity. "Your wish is my command."
Forty five minutes later, they were out of the shower, dry, and still teasing each other with little intimate touches, brushes, and heated looks. Judy standing behind Nick, slowly brushing her fingers through his tail, claiming she was just making sure it was properly groomed. Nick was doing his best to control the shivers her attention was causing to run up his spine while he cooked up their breakfast, using the last of their last shipment of blueberries to make pancakes, as well as the last of their chicken sausages.
Finally finished, he plated things up and looked back at her. "Breakfast is ready, evil rabbit."
Grinning at Nick with fox level smugness, Judy hopped over to the table and made herself comfortable. "Just helping you with your self control, Nick. You did good. I'm impressed."
Leaning down as he set her plate in front of her, and capturing an ear in his jaws. Nick drew his teeth up the sensitive flesh of her ear all the way to the tip in a very slow pull, adding a deep growl. Finally working the very tip with his fangs before releasing the ear. "Two can play that game, my love. I know your buttons just as well as you know mine." Sitting down behind his plate and grinning as she shuddered.
"Gods be damned, Nick! You are soooo lucky I am pregnant right now."
Chuckling, Nick blew her a kiss. "Some could say that I'm rather unlucky, given your implication." Leaning forward. "I promise that we will break in the new place tonight at least a little, and once the kits are born and you have recovered. The entire hose will be christened. This I promise as your mate."
Judy groaned and glared at Nick as the inside of her ears turned red, though they did not fall as there was no need to hide her blush from her mate. "Evil fox. Just not fair."
"As if you petting my tail for ten minutes while I cooked was even remotely fair."
"Point, but after what you did in the shower."
"Only finished what you started my love." Nick gave her a wink and turned to his food as did Judy, not willing to concede that she did in fact start things in the shower.

At eleven twenty that morning, there was a loud knock on Nick and Judy's door. Nick answered and looked out on a hallway completely full of rabbits. Looking to the one that did the knocking. "Hey there, Max. Everyone. Good to see you all. Who are the gang leaders?"
Max grinned up at Nick. "Me, Jessup, Arron, and Lizz. I understand we're doing two moves today."
Nick nodded. "Yep, why don't you four come in and we can finish up the plan of attack." Stepping aside to let the rabbits enter.
Max nodded as he and ten other rabbits moved in past Nick, the rest turning and heading back outside. "Sounds good Nick. Our team leads are here as well. Best to have them listen in, then there won't be any misunderstood directions."
Closing the door, Nick followed them into the living room. "Sounds good, and makes sense. Love. They're heeeerrre!" Doing his best impression of the Poltryguiest movie.
Judy laughed from the kitchen table, Lizz and Mike on a muzzle-time call. "Nick, you are such a dork."
Mike laughed from the phone. "Come on Judy, that was funny."
"And you are just as big a dork, Mike." Judy looked over and saw all the rabbits, a bright smile on her face. "Hey everyone." Indicating the tablet propped up on the table. "This is Lizz and Mike. They will be the other home you're moving today. The first question is, which teams are going to be able to work around a very pregnant tigress and her wolf mate without pulling a dad?"
Max laughed. "Mom warned us, which is why it took us a bit longer to get going then I would have liked this morning. We had to make sure we had a large enough team that wasn't going to, as you put it, pull a dad. We've got one hundred rabbits, plus three wolves, two deer, and six foxes. The wolves and deer brought their trucks, and the wolves truck is a modified large mammal, so we have lots of space for larger furniture. The wolves all but begged to be allowed to help."
Mike answered as Lizz laughed nervously. "I'll just bet."
Judy nodded. "Okay, in that case, have you decided who is going to go where?"
Judy's sister Lizz, stepped up. "Hi, I'm Lizz. I guess I'm going to have to go by Lizza for today, since we already have a Lizz. Jessup and I will be leading a team of forty rabbits, along with the wolves and deer to deal with the move of you two. Mike and Lizz, right? I look forward to meeting you in person."
Mike spoke up. "I will be meeting you at our apartment, right after I drop Lizz off at the new place. When you see the old place, you'll understand. We're currently at my parents, and will head out as soon as this call is over."
Lizza nodded. "Understood. We just need an address and we will wait for you there."
Nick nodded. "I've got that for you, Lizza. Mike, why don't you get going, the sooner you drop Lizz off and get over to your old place, the sooner things get started."
Mike nodded. "Sounds good to me. Love?" Turning to look at Lizz.
Lizz smiled. "I look forward to meeting another Lizz. I'll see you at the new location, Lizz."
Lizza grinned. "We will."
With that, Mike and Lizz disconnected and Nick handed the address over. "Do you need directions or anything?"
Lizza shook her head. "Nope, we all have Wayzer. Best navigation app I have ever seen, took us on a few detours getting here, but you know what, when we got back on the freeway, it was just after a major accident that had the whole freeway shut down, it added thirty minutes to the trip, but if we had been stuck waiting on that accident to clear, we wouldn't be moving you until tonight."
Judy nodded. "I recommended it, love."
With a smile, Nick nodded. "Then I will leave you to it, but if you get hung up anywhere, just give Judy or I a call."
Lizza gave a nod. "Will do, Nick." With that Lizza and Jessup, along with their team leads left.
Judy and Nick turned to Max and Arron, Judy speaking. "Okay guys. What do you need from us?"
Max grinned. "Nothing from either of you. We have packing materials, boxes, crates, fifty plus rabbits and six foxes. We got this." Max turned to the remaining rabbits in the room. Let's get the packers in here and get started."
A few moments later, there were twenty rabbits and a Kit fox vixen and an Arctic fox todd in the apartment, with boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and piles of newspaper. The foxes immediately stepped up to Nick.
Cynthia offered her paw. "Hello. I'm Cynthia Gherrel, I'm engaged to Judy's brother, Edward."
Nick took the paw with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you."
Terrance offered his paw as well. "I'm Terrance Winterfrost, you can call me Terry. I'm mated to Judy's brother Mike."
Accepting the paw with another firm shake. "Pleasure to meet you as well."
Judy chuckled. "I always knew Mike was gay, never figured him to hop on the inter-train. Not that I'm complaining. It's good to have more preds in the family. Hopefully it'll help Dad relax more and not worry so much."
Cynthia smiles. "He is doing a lot better. I think the realization that he almost alienated you so fully and missed out on your kits, finally woke him up. At least that's what Edward says. There are actually a good forty plus Hopps that are Inters. I think your Dad just didn't want to acknowledge it."
Judy nodded. "That sounds like Dad. Denial until he has to deal with it, then faint, at least once." Looking up at Nick.
J: As the vixen in the relationship, should I be accepting their help, or is that your job as defender?
N: It's kinda both of our jobs, though as they are technically family, which is why they introduced themselves that way, it bypasses most of my territorial instincts. So, as long as you accept them, it'll deal with the rest.
J: Got it, and I do. Anything formal, or just thank them for helping?
N: Nothing formal. No real protocol for this.
J: Love you.
N: Love you more.
Judy smiled. "Thank you. Cynthia, Terry. We appreciate and accept your assistance in moving our Den.
Both Cynthia and Terry grin, Cynthia speaking. "Oh, thank you! We offer our help and support in establishing your new den in good faith and hope for the prosperity of your family."
Nick speaks up, knowing Judy isn't going to know the exact wording. "On behalf of my mate, we accept your help and hope for the prosperity of your dens and families as well." Pausing to let the formality complete, Nick smiles warmly. "Since you're also joining the Hopps clan, it's great to meet you both. Judy and I look forward to meeting all the inters of the family. Perhaps we should set up a get together? Though in the meantime, I think Max has jobs for you."
Max yells from the kitchen. "That I do. Now if y'all done with the formalities. Let's move it, Mammals!"
Dishes were quickly out of the cabinets and on the counter, and just as quickly wrapped up and in a box. About ten minutes into the actual packing, a coyote and small wolf appeared.
The coyote found Nick and smiled. "Hey, Nick! Jake and I had the day off and thought we might help, but seeing the crew you have working here, maybe you don't."
Max stepped up. "Who are you?"
The coyote looked down with a smile. "Officer Greg Tanner, and this is my partner Officer Jake Hurns. We were going to offer to help, but..." Indicating the rabbits in the apartment.
Max grinned. "Actually, you might be more help than you know. There are some heavy items, like the couch that need to get moved. Think you two can help with those items?"
Greg smiled wider. "Sure. Point us in the right direction."
Max turned and yelled. "Arron! We have mammals for heavy move."
Arron appeared, his coloration a direct negative image of Max, as they were a true rarity amongst rabbits, actual twins, though through a trick of genetics, their colors were reversed. "Awesome." Looking up at Greg and Jake. "Greg and Jake, if I heard right. Let's start with the couch. That'll make room in the main room to stage packed up boxes before we get them moved down to the waiting trucks. The couch goes in the back of the medium sized blue pickup. Once you have that done, come find me and I'll point out the next thing. As for how to pack it, follow the direction of Jenny. Grey and gold doe with a notch in her left ear."
Jake nodded. "Got it. Saw her outside."
With that, Jake and Greg took a moment to situate themselves and were moving the couch a few moments later, then the bed, boxes of book and videos, and were quickly there after tasked with carrying boxes as they could carry three and four to the rabbits one per.
Within four hours, the WildeHopps apartment was empty save the bare walls themselves and the clean, patch, and fix crew was starting their work making sure any holes were patched, and the apartment was spotless. They even painted the walls and shampooed the rug.

After hanging up, Mike turned to Lizz. "Are you ready for this, love?"
Lizz shook her head. "No, but it is happening anyway. So we had best get moving."
Thirty minutes later Mike dropped Lizz off at their new apartments. They shared a quick kiss and Mike watched as she successfully used her code for the front gate of the complex for the first time. Holding the gate open, Lizz looked back and gave him a grin. Mike waved and blew her a kiss before driving away towards their old apartment.
Walking slowly through the complex towards their new, temporary apartment, Lizz looked around. The complex was just as nice as when they walked through it only a few days prior. The apartments all faced into a large open courtyard. There were several large sections of grass, some hedges, and paths that moved through the area, along with a large swimming pool made to look like a natural pond. It was even fed by a fake, but very real looking, stream. Looking up, Lizz noticed that the cover they had seen over the courtyard appeared to in fact be retractable, as it was currently partially retracted, blocking the midday sun, while also providing lots of natural light for the trees, grass, and other plants.
Smiling as she walked through, and actually feeling at home, Lizz saw a small group of mixed cubs playing, both predator and prey, and her smile widened with hope. Whispering to herself. "My cubs will have friends here that won't judge them for who their parents are, or what they are."
The cubs stopped what they were doing when they saw her. One of the prey, a deer foal, walked up to her. "Hi ma'am. Are you lost? Looking for someone that lives here?"
Lizz smiled down, and kneeled slowly. "I am actually moving in today with my mate, along with some friends of mine. We're moving into the two apartments in the corner, next to the older snow leopards. When they move, my mate, our cubs, and I, will be moving into that townhouse."
"Oh, that's neat. You're really pregnant."
Lizz couldn't help but smile wider at that. "I very much am. I'll tell you a secret." Lizz leaned down, all the cubs leaning in closer to hear. "My mate, and the papa of my cubs, is a wolf. My friends that are also moving in today, they're a rabbit and a fox."
All the cubs' eyes went wide, and the little fawn grinned. "That's so cool! I'll bet they're going to be super pretty, just like you, ma'am. My mamma is a white tailed deer, and my poppa is a coyote. I know he isn't my real dad, but he loves me like his own fur and blood."
A female dhole walked up. "Hey kits, what are you up to..." Pausing upon seeing Lizz. "Oh, hello."
Lizz smiled. "Hello. I'm Lizz Fangmeyer. My mate and I, as well as some friends of ours are moving into the ground floor apartments there in the corner." Pointing. "I'm just here to unlock the apartment and to wait, since it has gotten rather hard to go up and down the six floors to our current apartment."
The dhole smiled brightly. "Oh, well. That's great." She was clearly concerned about the very pregnant tigress.
The foal however was too excited. "Miss Sasha! It's so cool! She says her mate is a wolf, and he's the daddy to her cubs."
The dhole, Sasha, relaxed slightly. "Is that right?"
Lizz smiled and offered her paw. "It is. Mike and I have been hiding our relationship for many years, but our friends who will be moving in next door performed a bit of an intervention. Only a few days ago actually. It has been a whirlwind of a week or so. But all good. Though we did have a few bad experiences when we were looking for apartments."
One of the wolf pups walked up. "Ma'am, you smell like a wolf. You smell a lot like my new papa, but kinda different too."
Lizz couldn't help a grin. "Oh, your new papa must be Ed Wolford."
With a happy wag to his tail, the grey and brown pup gave a happy hop. "Yep. He and lady Elli are adopting me and my brother." Pulling his brother, who looked almost identical to him, save the pattern of grey on their muzzles. "This is my brother, Nick. I'm Jake."
"Well, hello there Nick and Jake. I'm Lizz. Ed is actually my mate Mike's brother. So since Mike and I are officially married as of last night, I guess that makes me your aunt Lizz. It is nice to meet my new nephews."
Jake looked up at her with wide, watery eyes. "Really? You're our aunt?"
With a warm smile, Lizz nodded and kneeled back down. "Really. Really. Your uncle Mike and I got married last night thanks to the work of the friends that are moving into the other apartment."
Jake grinned. "Mamma Elli told us about that last night. The rabbit and fox?"
"That's right."
Sarah was now grinning. "Well, then I suppose you will fit in here just fine."
Lizz was suddenly rushed by the two wolf pups for hugs that she gladly gave. "Well, you are about to be invaded by about a hundred rabbits that will be conducting the move. Judy is from Bunnyburrow, and so a large chunk of her siblings have appeared to move both her and her fox, along with Mike and I. As I understand it, Nick is having pizza delivered enough to feed all the rabbits and then some. We're hoping to have enough to offer some to anyone in the complex that wants some."
With a slightly worried smile, Sarah nodded. "That would be nice."
Lizz smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry. They are not staying. They're just going to move us, eat pizza, and head back to the farm."
Realization hits Sarah. "Wait... A rabbit named Judy, from Bunnyborrow!"
Lizz gave a mischievous grin. "Married to a fox, who is the father of her cubs, yes."
"That means that you are all ZPD officers!"
Lizz nodded. "We are. Though Judy and I are on maternity leave, obviously."
Sarah chuckled. "I am sure. Why don't you unlock the apartment, and then come over. I'm in 110." Pointing to the corner opposite. "I'm sure my couch and a lemonade would be preferable to waiting on your feet." Looking over the kits. "I'm sure we can trust you cubs to let us know as soon as a bunch of rabbits appear." The kits all nod and then run off to continue playing.
Lizz stood up with a smile. "Thank you. Every experience so far with this complex has been nothing but positive. Please, call me Lizz."
"And I'm Sarah Thresh. Lets get your place unlocked." Motioning towards the corner where Lizz's apartment was.
A few minutes later, they were sitting on Sarah's couch with large glasses of lemonade. Lizz sighed. "Thank you Sarah. I have no idea how long it will be before they show up. As I said before, every experience so far has shown that deciding to move here was the right decision. Frank said that the majority of the residents were either inter-species couples, or parents of adopted different species cubs."
"That is correct. Often both, like young Clair who you met. She was bullied badly at her old school. She was so withdrawn when they moved it, but the other kits drew her out. They all help protect each other at school too. It's a good school, but there is always that one bully."
Lizz smiled. "That's great to know. It was something Mike and I have worried a lot about. Though I suppose being the cubs of ZPD officers might help them some. Have there been issues with other residents?"
Sarah chuckled and took a sip of her lemonade. "There have been a few that have moved in that were less than tolerant, but they never last long, and Frank is happy to let them out of their leases. We have created a really strong community here, and Frank seems to think that the community we have created is more important than a few bad reviews."
Lizz gave a nod as she took a sip of her own drink. "Mmm… This is good. Makes sense, after talking with him. Better to let them out of their lease and move someone else in that isn't going to be like that. Better for the community, and for him too. He doesn't have to deal with conflicts between residents."
"That's right, and just what he said. To answer your question, my husband is a painted dog. We have tried to have pups, but it never seems to be in the cards for us, though you, pregnant by a wolf, gives me a lot more hope."
Lizz nodded. "Our specialist says that we are very lucky. That we got pregnant many, many, times, but they weren't viable and never actually knew it. Then, this time, the genetics were right, and we will be parents some time in the near future. Sadly, since such a pairing is so unprecedented, they can't give an estimate as to when I will actually give birth." Pulling out one of her business cards, Lizz writes the doctors name and phone number on the back. "No promises, because you have to be genetically compatible, but if it is, she is the expert to help."
Sarah smiled. "I'll talk to Will and see about making an appointment."
A new voice sounds from the direction of the front door. "An appointment for what, love?"
Sarah beamed. "Will! Come here and meet our new neighbor, Lizz."
A painted dog walked around from the side and stopped upon seeing the tiger in his living room. "Well, hello. I'm Will Thresh." Holding out a paw.
Lizz accepted the paw. "Lizz Fangmeyer, though I suppose after last night I am Lizz Wolford, but Mike and I are still discussing that. We're moving in along with our friends just across the common area. So you will soon be invaded by a small army of rabbits that are doing that move. My mate dropped me off to unlock the apartment and to wait, and your wife was kind enough to invite me in to wait."
Will smiled warmly. "Sarah is always one to welcome newcomers to our community. If you don't mind me asking, you smell rather strongly of wolf."
With an amused smile, Lizz nodded. "I would expect so, as my mate is Mike Wolford, brother of Ed Wolford, who lives here with his mate Elli."
Will's smile morphed quickly into a grin. "Forgive me. We've had a few couples move in that turned out to be less tolerant than they first put on."
Lizz nodded. "So I have heard. All the more reason that Nick is hoping to have enough Pizza left from feeding the army of rabbits that is moving us, to share with the community."
Will cocked his head to the side. "Nick?"
"Yes. Mike and I have quite the sordid story about how we came to be together, the fact that we hid our relationship for years. At least until our friends held an intervention of sorts. Now we are out in the open, our boss knows and won't break us up as partners as long as we keep it professional on the job, just like Nick and Judy do. We're all ZPD officers, by the way. Judy and I are on maternity leave, for obvious reasons."
Will shook himself before the grin returned with force. "Oh, that's amazing!" He then paused. "Hold up a second. You said rabbits are the ones doing the move, and you're ZPD. Your friend is Judy Hopps? And she is moving in here?"
"Well, she's actually been Judy WildeHopps for a few years now, and they are about to have kits themselves. It is why they have been looking for a new place, they need the room, just like Mike and I do, and the sixth floor walk up because the management won't fix the elevator at our old building, drove Mike and I to hook into Nick and Judy's search. We found this place and I have to say, I've had nothing but good experiences here thus far."
"Well, that's good."
Conversation went on from there, Sarah and Will offering Lizz a few snacks when they called the kits in from playing for lunch. One of the other kits, a goat kid, turned out to be the adopted daughter of Will and Sarah. Sarah being one of the stay at home parents that did kit sitting for the five to ten range kits of the complex. With Will looking after them, Sarah took Lizz around after lunch to meet the other kit sitters, specifically the two that looked after the youngest kits in the six month to two year old range.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mike drove away with no small amount of trepidation. He hated to leave Lizz behind, but she could always hit up Elli or Joan if she needed anything, and so he made haste to their soon to be former home. The sooner he got there and met up with the moving crew, the sooner they could start their new life as a family.
Pulling up to the complex, Mike was shocked at the sight. There were more rabbits than he could count standing out front, along with the promised wolves and deer. Parking in his spot, he got out and walked up. "Hello."
Two rabbits, one a very dark grey, the other gold and cream, one of the wolves, and the deer stepped up, the dark grey rabbit speaking. "Hello, Mike. Good to see you in person. I'm Lizza and this is Jessup." Offering a paw and indicating the other rabbit with her other paw. "We'll be overseeing your move. This here is Hert, he's the leader of the wolves, and the deer is Jedd." Indicating the mammals in question with a paw.
Mike accepted the paw with a smile. "Thank you Lizza. Jessup." Turning to the wolves, Mike gave a small nod. "Michael Wolford, Designate, Wolford pack."
Hert gave a much deeper nod and a small bow. "Hert Hethra, Hethra pack, Tri-burrows area. It is our honor to assist the Wolford pack Designate in this simple move. This is my mate Letta, and her brothers Lee and Larr. We will help in all ways we can."
"Thank you, Hert. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and reflects well on your pack. I will leave you in the capable paws and direction of Lizza and Jessup."
The deer stepped up and gave a bow as well. "Designate. I am Jedd Woodson, and this is my mate Grey Woodson. Our family has an ancient pact with the Wolford pack, but it has been lost to time, and the moving of mammals as our world grew. We seek to reaffirm that pact with the Wolford pack."
Mike smiled warmly. "Thank you, Jedd and Grey Woodson. Your presence is welcome. I will inform the Alpha's of your intention once I have our lapine friends here started. I'm sure the Alpha's will want to meet you."
Jedd nodded. "Of course. In the meantime, we will happily assist in this move as well."
"Of course." Mike looked down to Lizza. "Okay Lizza, follow me. It's six floors up and there is no working elevator. It's why Lizz and I stayed at my parents the past few days. It's just become too much for her."
Lizza nodded. "Sounds good. Lead the way Mike."
A long climb later, Mike and Lizza enter the old Wolfeyer apartment. "Here we are. So, Lizza, what happens from here?"
Taking a moment to look around, Lizza turns to MIke with a smile. "Well, I'm glad we have the wolves and deer with us. No matter how many rabbits I put on that couch." Pointing. "Someone was going to get crushed."
Mike frowned. "That is the last thing I would want. I'd rather leave the couch behind than have that happen."
Lizza gave Mike another smile. "No worries, Mike. We have a few tricks up our sleeves yet.
A moment later, Eric and Jeff, along with two other Tiger officers and Lizz's brothers Larry and Earl, appear. "Hey, Mike." Eric says, walking into the apartment. "You know there are like a hundred rabbits standing around downstairs?"
Mike grinned. "Yes, they're some of Judy's siblings. The other half is currently moving her and Nick. What are you guys doing here?"
Larry, Lizz's brother, steps in. "Well, we were not going to let you do it all by yourself, and I knew that you wouldn't let her try and help. Where is Lizz, anyway?"
"Waiting at the new apartment. Knowing her, she's making friends who I'm going to have to cook dinner for at some point as a thank you for being so hospitable to her." Turning to Lizza. "I do believe we have some more muscle here." Looking back to Lizz's brothers, and the other officers. "This is Lizza. She is in charge of the rabbits, so if you guys are here to help, I thank you for both Lizz and I, and will leave you to her careful direction."
Lizza nodded with a grin and pulled out her phone, calling Jessup. "Jessup, Send up the wolves and deer. I have a lion, a leopard, and four tigers up here. We'll have them pack down the big stuff first, then send up the packers for everything else. We'll use the larger boxes and have them do the carry down." Turning to the mammals in the apartment. "Names?"
Eric smiled. "I'm Eric, I work with Mike and Lizz, and this is my mate Jeff."
Lizza grinned. "Great." Turning to the other officers and Lizz's brothers. "And you hunks?"
The officers chuckled. "I'm Officer Francis Forrest and this is my brother, Officer Frank Forrest. We're cousins of Lizz. These two are her brothers Larry and Earl Fangmeyer."
Nodding, Lizza smiled. "Okay then. Larry, Earl, think you two can handle the couch?" Seeing nods, she turned to the Forrest's. "Frank, Francis. How about you hit the bedroom and manage the furniture there. Just pile things like clothes on the bed. The packers will take care of that, and when they are done, we'll organize the bed itself. It needs to be taken apart anyway. Eric, Jeff. Think you can manage the chairs, dining table, and other things?"
Eric chuckled. "I don't see why not." Cracking his knuckles. "Let's do this."
The other wolves and deer appear at that point, Lizza turning to them with a grin. "Perfect timing. I've got some tigers in the bedroom working on the furniture there, let's split you up. Jedd, Hert, Lee, Lar, help the lion and Leopard with the things like the table and chairs, recliner, and other things that would obviously take several rabbits. Grey, Letta, help the tiger in the bedroom. I'm sure Lizz would prefer another female deal with her unmentionables." Looking over the much larger mammals than here. "Well... Why are you just standing there? Move those tails. We do not have all day. Move it! Move it!" Clapping her paws and showing the much larger mammals to their assigned jobs.
Once things started moving, with Lizza's direction in the apartment and Jessup in where to put things once downstairs, the packing went quickly. The couch was maneuvered out of the room into the hallway and was quickly heading down the stairs followed by the dining table and chairs. With that out of the way, the packers appeared, the larger mammals conscripted to carry supplies of boxes and such back up to the apartment.
It took three hours and eighteen minutes to get everything packed, and transported down to the waiting vehicles.
Standing in the middle of the now empty apartment, Mike looked around as Lizza walked up. "I am amazed at how efficiently this happened."
Lizza gave him another smile. "Well, that's what happens when you have a small army of rabbits, plus the extra muscle of four tigers, four wolves, two deer, a rather burly lion, and a leopard. Now, I need you out of here. The next crew needs access to the apartment."
Mike turns to her. "Next crew?"
"Yes. We have another crew that has the sole job of making sure every hole is patched, walls are painted, rugs are clean, and every surface is scrubbed and clean. Note, they are certified, so if they try to screw you on the deposit, just let us know. I will text you when things are done. You should be able turn in the keys tomorrow."
With a grin, Mike kneels down. "Thank you, Lizza. Do you mind a hug?"
Wrapping her arms around Mike, she returns the hug. "Not at all. I am a rabbit. Now get going. I'll get the crew started and then meet you for the unloading. We're full service you see. You will not have any unpacking to do by the time we're done today."
Mike passes a crew of rabbits on the fourth floor carrying ladders, tool bags, and paint, asking them all their names and thanking them all. When he reached the front of the building, he sees that everything was tied down, and the rabbits loading onto a medium to large mammal bus.
Jessup walked up to Mike. "Hey, Mike. We'll be ready to get underway in just a few minutes. Just gotta get the last of the crew loaded up."
"Thank you Jessup. You and your family are amazing."
Jessup smiled up at Mike. "We're glad to help. I'm sure Lizza mentioned it, but we'll have you fully moved in and unpacked before we leave."
"She did. So, who is leading this train?"
Lizza hopped up to them. "That'll be you. We have the address, but it'll be best if you lead."
Mike nodded. "Okay."
Ten minutes later, they were underway and heading for Misty Cliffs Family Suites.

Moving in: The move, part 2—Nick and Judy
A bus loaded with fifty rabbits and two foxes pulled up in front of Misty Cliffs Family Suites, along with four medium mammal pickups driven by three other foxes and one rabbit. Nick and Judy used their remote to enter the parking area, and quickly parked in one of their designated spots; they had three, right next to an elevator and stairs they missed during the tour.
Using their code on the elevator's keypad, they were taken up and found themselves only a few short doors and a hallway from their apartment. Nick grinning. "Oh, Fluff. This is even better than expected. You go unlock our new home and find Lizz. I'll open the front gate and let the..." Turning he saw a train of rabbits already in the complex carrying things. "Or, they could let themselves in with that temporary code we gave them."
Grinning, Judy nodded. "You stay here Nick. I'll open up and find Lizz, you can act as a sign post so they know where to go. Though you might want to make sure that pizza is going to be here soon."
Shaking his head, Nick chuckled. "Yeah. Your family seems to be a bit too efficient for their, or our, good." Pulling out his phone as he pointed to the corner apartment. "Over there guys, Judy's opening the door for you now.
After a few rings, the line is answered. "Yo, Wilde. What's up?"
Nick's smile falters slightly. "Please tell me you haven't forgotten my need for pizza?"
A deep chuckle greeted him. "Not at all. The last of them will be coming out of the ovens in about fifteen minutes. Where are we heading again?"
"It's called Misty Cliffs Family Suites, I can re-text you the address if you need."
"Nope, drove past the place yesterday. We should be there within the hour."
"Great, because I have a large crew of hungry farm rabbits and I think I saw torches and pitchforks in the back of their trucks under some tarps. Considering I'm married to their sister, I don't want to give them more excuses to wanna come after me."
Laughter greeted that from the phone. "Oh, we're going to be there just so we can meet the mammal that domesticated Nicholas Wilde."
"Don't worry, you will." Seeing Judy disappear into an apartment across the complex. "I'll see you when you get here. Just ping me if you can't get in."
"Will do Wilde."
Hanging up, Nick walked over to the apartment he saw Judy enter, catching wind of pregnant tiger as he approached. Knocking on the door it opens to reveal a male painted dog. Giving his signature smirk. "Hello there. I think you have my mate in here. Grey rabbit, very pregnant."
Grinning. "That I do, as well as a very pregnant tiger. I'm Will Thresh, pleased to meet you. Please, come in." With that, Will stepped aside, opening the door wider for Nick to enter.
