Tanjiro's next Mission was in Asakusa in Tokyo. He had never been to Tokyo before, but he had read about how big and populated it was. If he was being honest, he was worried about how his family would handle all the noise and crowds. Hunger hadn't been a problem for them since they were turned. But with so many humans around, they might get overwhelmed.

As he arrived, the oldest Kamado Son himself was instantly overwhelmed by all the noise, lights and smells. 'it's so crowed! I hope everyone is okay in their boxes.' Tanjiro stepped out of the way of a tram. 'Should I let everyone out, or leave them in their boxes? I don't want them to get upset-' Tanjiro thought, barely able to make his way through the crowds with his cart.

He finally made it to a quiet alleyway, rubbing his head as he could feel a headache coming on. "This place is so overwhelming!" Tanjiro muttered. Suddenly he smelled something that made a chill run down his spine. The 15-year-old's mouth hung open as he smelled a horribly familiar scent. Memories of blood and a massive battle filled his head as Tanjiro felt rage boil inside his chest.

"That scent-!" he breathed, before being startled as his families boxes burst open. He watched as everyone climbed out, veins bulging and fangs showing as they too sensed the Demon that had done this to them. "Muzan Kibutsuji! He's here, in the city!" Tanjiro cried, before running in the direction the scent was coming from.

He clenched his hand around his sword sheath, "this way!" he called, running away from the cart, with his family on his heels.

Tanjiro and his family ran through the street, dodging and pushing past people. Then the young Demon Slayer glimpsed him- the Demon who had attacked his family. Hatred boiled inside his chest, "MUZAN KIBUTSUJI!" Tanjiro screamed over the crowd. The Demon King turned, saw Tanjiro's family, saw Tanjiro and bolted. The woman who had been with Muzan, who was carrying a young girl gasped in shock. "Tsukihiko?!" the woman cried in shocked confusion, as her fake Husband ran away through the crowd of humans.

The Kamado family gave chase, however, Tanjiro saw something that made him stop in his tracks. Muzan scratched a man on the back of his neck as he ran passed him. "Dear? Are you alright?" his Wife asked him. The man suddenly raised his head, now having fangs and mad red eyes and bit his Wife on the shoulder. The woman screamed, and so did Muzan's fake daughter. Tanjiro tackled the man away from his Wife, and shoved his balled up scarf into his mouth to keep him from eating anyone. His family tried to chase after Muzan, but Tanjiro called out to them: "no! don't chase him! Not here!" he cried.

Kie turned back to look at him as he forced the newly turned Demon down to the ground. Then she pulled the rest of her children back to her Oldest Son. "Dear, what's wrong?!" the woman asked, but Tanjiro turned to look back at her, "please, just worry about yourself Ma'am! You need to keep pressure on your wound!" he called. He watched Muzan disappear, and the woman and little girl search for him in the crowd and he grit his teeth. He had been told that Muzan was the creator of all Demon's, either by his own hand, or a Demon under him. So it wasn't just his family that this monster had tried to kill and turned into Demons.

Tanjiro clenched his eyes shut at the rage burning inside him as he was forced to let Muzan escape. His family gathered around him and the newly created Demon, warding off the curious humans from approaching. Suddenly there was a whistle, and the crowd of humans moved aside as Police Officers came up to him. "Hey kid! What are you doing to that man?!" one of them called. "You're not safe around this man, please leave while I have him restrained, and can you move the crowd along? They're making him harder to keep under control!" Tanjiro replied.

"We're the ones who should be dealing with any problems here! Get off that man so we can take into custody!" another Officer ordered. "No, you don't understand! It's too dangerous! Please keep back!" Tanjiro replied, pushing the raging Demon down harder. "You're the one who doesn't understand kid! If you're going to interfere with our jobs-" the first Police Officer started, raising hiss baton. However, his Mother stepped in front of them, her light purple eyes turned to angry slits. The threat was clear: "back off". There was a tense three second stand off, before flowers seemed to appear out of nowhere.

The Demon Kamado's tensed, veins bulging at sensing another Demon, and they looked around. Calm, slow footsteps were heard as a woman in a dark purple Kimono with flowers on it stepped out in front of them. "You called that Demon a man, and you're surrounded by other Demons. If you want to save that man, then allow me to help you, won't you" the woman asked. Tanjiro's eyes were wide as he realised the woman standing in front of him was a Demon too.

The Demon woman, who had introduced herself as a Doctor named Tamayo, led everyone to her house, while Kie held the newly-turned Demon and Tamayo carried his injured Wife. After locking the man up in the Basement, Kie and Tanjiro watched over the younger children as they played together in the yard. Finally, the young Demon man came to get them all. Tanjiro held Hanako and Shigeru's hands while their Mother carried Rokuta, and Nezuko and Takeo walked next to each other.

The inside of the house was bright and decorated lavishly. The Demon who had been with Tamayo led them to a door, before blocking it with his body. "Listen to me. You had better not offend the Lady in any way. She decided out of the kindness of her heart to help you, so you'd better all behave brats!" he warned. "My Brother's and Sister's are very well behaved. Don't worry" Tanjiro replied with a smile. "Hmph!" the other Demon huffed, before turning back to the door, "I've brought them inside Lady Tamayo" he said.

"Come in!" Miss Tamayo replied. The other Demon slid open the door. Tamayo was sitting in front of a bed with the injured woman asleep in it. "Can I ask how she is?" Tanjiro asked worriedly. "Her injury was minor, but her Husband has to be retrained in the Basement" Tamayo explained, standing up and removing her Operating smock, "come with me" she said.

Tanjiro and his Mother knelt down in front of Tamayo and Yushiro, while the younger Demon children ran outside to play and Nezuko and Takeo were sent outside to supervise them. "May I know your names?" Tamayo asked. "My name is Tanjiro Kamado. This is my Mother Kie. My younger Siblings are, from Oldest to youngest, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta. Thank you for your hospitality Ma'am" Tanjiro replied kindly.

"It was no problem at all. Now, shall we talk about some more serious topics?" Tamayo asked. Tanjiro nodded, before he gained a slightly frantic look, "Miss Tamayo, is there any way to turn Demon's back into humans? Please, I need to know" he asked. "No matter the injury or illness, there is always some kind of way to heal, or a medicine. I don't know how to turn Demons back into humans yet, but I'm sure there has to be a way. We are dedicated to establishing such a treatment" Tamayo replied.

"Is there anything I can do to help? Please, I'll do anything if I can help create a cure. It's why I became a Demon Slayer to begin with!" Tanjiro asked. "There is, but I will need some favours from you. The first is permission to study your family's blood. I understand that the moment they transformed, they attacked Kibutsuji, and nearly killed him" the Demon Doctor said, something desperate and hungry glowing in her eyes for a moment, before it was quickly hidden away. "That's right. Honestly, after everything was explained to me and I had time to process what had happened I was amazed at everyone's strength.

They all seemed to remember me from the start too. I'll forever be grateful for that." Tanjiro replied, taking his Mother's hand. Kie squeezed it back gently with a kind smile. Suddenly Tanjiro's eyes shot over to the outside as he heard his Siblings screaming. Kie threw herself over her human Son as the wall of the house was smashed in. When he could see through the dust cloud, Tanjiro saw that Yushiro had covered Tamayo and there was a huge hole in the wall. Tanjiro could see his Brother's and Sister's trying to attack a Demon woman outside, but they were constantly thrown backwards through the air or had their limbs blasted off by- were those Temari Balls?

He grabbed his Sword as his Mother snarled and leapt out of the hole in the wall to attack the enemy Demons. The human Kamado followed, prepared to fight. Tanjiro knew his Siblings could hold their own in a fight, but the sight of his family missing limbs and blood splattered on the ground brought back bad memories. He refused to stand and watch his family get hurt this time! Now he could fight too!
