Here we go with the fifteenth chapter, and I want to thank everyone for the support. My friend appreciates the support for his old story and is glad it's getting better than the last two times he tried this. It's a slow progress, but I told him more people will like it. In time.

Also, went to check out the Little Mermaid remake movie and I got to say, a better remake that what we had for the last four years. The Dumbo, Aladdin, Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Mulan, Cruella, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan movies, all of them sucked. The two Maleficent movies were bad too, along with the two Alice in Wonderland movies, with Cinderella being decent. But there were a few good ones among the bad ones.

The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Christopher Robin, and now the Little Mermaid. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than the original?

Ha! No. But it is entertaining. The CGI isn't the best, but the movie is still better than the shitty remakes we had gotten from 2019-2023.

So, thankfully this broke the streak and hope this movie makes back its money. Since they said if it does well, they plan to make a sequel with Melody involved, and I want to see that.

Anyways, last time we saw how Ariel was holding up on the pirate ship, while introduced to some of the crew. How will things go for her from here on out? How will things go for Melody, Lapis, and Gabriella when they find them?

And how are the others doing in their own quests?

Tune in today to find out everyone. Now, time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything owned by Disney except the OCs of my friend. Also, again I'm doing this for my friend who can no longer work on my projects.

Enjoy the chapter everyone.

Chapter XV

Narration

Long ago, there once resided a kingdom. A kingdom that was once considered the most advanced and civilized in the world. A kingdom that was forged by a god. An Olympian God, who ruled over the sea, and was king of Atlantis.

My father, Poseidon.

One of the children of the former king of the Titans, Cronus (Cronos or Kronos). Once the ruler of the world, after overthrowing his own father, Uranus (Father Sky). Until one day, he was told that one of his children would overthrow him. To avoid this, he swallowed his children when they were born and kept them trapped in his stomach.

Until the last of the children, Zeus, was saved by his mother, Rhea. She tricked her husband and saved her son. Sending him off to be spared and grow up. Once fully grown, Zeus returned and freed his siblings, before declaring war against Cronus and the Titans.

A war that lasted for ten years between the Olympians and the Titans. The tide of the war turned in favor of the Olympians after Zeus freed the cyclops, siblings to Cronus, but he had them imprisoned. Once freed, the cyclops created three powerful weapons for Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. Zeus' thunderbolt, Hades' pitchfork & helmet, while Poseidon was given the trident.

But this was not enough to completely win the war. So, Zeus went to the depths of Tartarus and freed the Hecatoncheires, large monstrous beings with hundred arms and fifty heads. These monsters pledged loyalty to the Olympians and helped fight against the Titans. With the help of their allies, the Olympian Gods defeated and subdued the Titans.

The Titans were all banished to the depths of Tartarus, where the Hecatoncheires were tasked as their jailers. While the Olympian Gods took over and began bringing peace to the world.

Zeus became the king of the gods and ruled at the top of the mountain, that was forged during the war, Mt. Olympus. Hades was tasked to rule over the underworld and make sure the souls of the dead move to the afterlife. While Poseidon became the ruler of the sea. While the rest of their siblings were given their own task to protect and bring order to the world.

Poseidon used the power of his trident to bring a large piece of land from beneath the sea and build his home. Before long, people began to arrive to the land and were allowed to live there by the god of the sea. From building their homes to building one of the greatest civilizations of all time. A civilization that became so advanced, that its name spread across the world…

…Atlantis.

A kingdom built by the greatest minds and greatest architects in the whole world. King Poseidon brought them all together, to help build his wonderful kingdom, and spread its influence across the world.

Despite the rumors of the king having bed with many women, he only had one woman in his life. My mother, Akabe, his jewel of the sea.

She was a strong, brave, kind, funny, and at times, scary woman. One who wasn't afraid to take on an army of armed soldiers or even take on the mightiest of beasts. From land or sea, she had no fear in her. My father fell for her, and she fell for him as well.

Not because of his title as a god, not for his great power, or his looks. But for his kindness, his respect for her, and for how bashful he was to try asking her out. As my mother told us: "Your father could take on the mightiest of Titans with no sign of fear in his heart. Yet trying to ask me out, was one of the scariest things he ever had to do."

The two fell in love, got married, and had three children: Titus, Alexis, and myself, Triton.

We were raised to be the future of Atlantis. To protect it when the day comes for our father to step down. A task I was unsure if I could live up to. Mainly because my brother was a born leader and an amazing warrior, while my sister was a master of sorcery.

Something I lacked in both areas. I was not a skilled warrior, a great leader, or had any magical traits like my sister. I felt…weak. I felt like a burden, and I was worried I would never be able to live up to our father's expectation.

But my mother believed I could become a great leader. I was kind to all to our people, willing to help the people with anything they needed, and even providing solutions to settle disputes. My mother truly believed I was capable of so much more and pushed me to show it. So, I did just that.

I spent years helping solve disputes between our people and the nations around us. I help with whoever needs it, even for small towns that need aid after a disaster. I would even be involved in the negotiations for trade to help expand our influence across the world. Providing other nations with food medicine and knowledge.

I didn't know if this would be enough to prove myself to my father, but it seemed to work. He not only acknowledges my work, but then, when he called for his children to come to see him, he announced I would be king.

I had not expected this at all. I had thought he would simply just acknowledge my work and pass the title to my brother, since he was clearly the right person to lead. Even my brother had expected this. But once I was named as the successor, my brother did not take it well.

And what he did next was…was…

If I had known what he would have done. What he would do after finding out he wouldn't rule, I would have refused. Maybe then father would have chosen him? Or did he know?

Did he know of the darkness hidden within Titus?

Did he know how much he despised the humans who he saw as our enemies. The ones he believed were all horrible monsters and needed to be wiped out.

I'm not going to lie, I once believed humans were monsters too, especially after what happened to my beloved Athena. But I soon saw how wrong I was. There are some good humans out there. And have shown such bravery that I didn't think they really had.

But my brother didn't see it. He only saw nothing but the bad side of them and refused to accept anything else. As a result, he chose the path of destruction. Using the power of father's trident, he attempted to take over and use the power to wipe out all humans.

My father defeated him and stopped his plans. He banished those who assisted Titus, before sealing my brother away. Disowning him from the family and making sure he is never set freed again. Out of fear he would finish what he started.

After that, the war our brother brought on to our home caused Atlantis to fall before the sea. My father used the power of the trident to save our people though. Transforming them to become Merpeople and allowing us to continue to live our lives. But to ensure Titus never returns, he used his powers to wipe the memories of our people.

Unfortunately, due to what my father had to do and how much energy he inserted; he ended up losing his life.

Before his passing, he asked my sister, Alexis, to hide the original trident. The one Titus tried to use to wipe out humanity. While father passed on the second trident, made by the God of Blacksmiths, Hephaestus, maker of the weapons for the Olympian Gods. I was then crowned as king and was tasked to protect our people.

To keep them safe and united.

But I failed. Centuries have passed and our kingdom, once united, became divided. Our people spread across the sea to form their own kingdoms, without listening to whatever I have to say. Atlantis was nothing more than a memory. And that left me with my small kingdom, Atlantica.

I wish…I wish I could have stopped my brother. I wish things had gone differently. But I know there is nothing I can do about it now. I can only hope that one day maybe, before I pass, I can see my brother and sister, one more time.

Maybe the more time and hope that we can be a family again…before our time on this world ends.

Maybe then, our kingdom, our people, and our family would still be together. We would still be united as one and would still be above the sea…but that's all in the past now.

I have to look forward to the future. I have a wife and seven beautiful daughters. All who I hope to help provide and keep safe. And help prepare them for the future.

To ensure that history does not repeat itself and make sure my children stay on the path of good. So that one day when one of them takes my place, they'll keep our kingdom safe from harm. From the sea, from the surface, and from the past. To keep our past buried and move forward to the future.

End of Narration

Attina began to close her father's journal and began sitting it down at a table. She closed her eyes and began to process everything she just read.

She had arrived back in Atlantica in the hope of finding the item her father told her to find. The one that she was told to use to get to the children of Hephaestus. To get their help in reforming the trident that her uncle Titus broke. She didn't feel comfortable searching for the item in her father's room, but she knew she had to.

Her father gave her this task, so she needed to do it to get the trident fixed.

During her search, she found her father's journal. It looked old and a little worn down, but it didn't stop her from wanting to read it. She read though towards the final chapters of the journal. Maybe if she did, she'd be able to find out any details of what she's looking for.

She had already known of what happened, after her father told her the truth and she remembered the story he told them when they were little. However, when she read through the journal, she got more of an understanding of what her father went through. And understood why his brother was forgotten.

What she didn't know though is that their kingdom is smaller than how it once was. She didn't know that their people had become divided and split across the sea. She couldn't believe this. She knew once this whole situation was over, she'll be able to take care of this.

She sets her father's journal down and sighed softly. "I just hope I'm up to the task after we stop Titus," she said under her breath.

"Attina, you in here?" Attina snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a young merman calling for her.

"Yes! I'm here, Urchin," Attina replied as she turns towards the door.

Entering the room, is Urchin, a friend of Ariel and a close member of the family. When Ariel met him, he was an orphan who would get into trouble. But once Ariel befriended him, he began to open up and become close. Almost like a little brother to Ariel and her sisters, while Triton took him under his wing like a son.

Even with Ariel living on the surface, Urchin still got to see her from time to time. That was until the incident with Morgana. But once she was taken down, Urchin was able to see his friend again. Even reveal he had gotten married and has two kids of his own.

Urchin became a close advisor to the family and is willing to do anything for them. Even if it means going up against the kid's brother, who he didn't even know existed.

"I apologize for interrupting you, but I was told you wanted to see me?" Urchin asked as he swam over to the future queen of the kingdom. "And why are you here in your father's room?"

"I came here because daddy told me to find something that will help me get to the children of Hephaestus," Attina explains that he's the one who made the trident that her father uses and how his children helped make the sword that Titus uses. "We're hoping they'll be able to repair the trident, so we can stop Titus."

"Are you sure we can trust them?" Urchin asked who wasn't sure about this plan. "They did help Titus make his sword, so chances are, they're working for him."

"That's a chance I'm willing to take," said Attina who knew Urchin isn't wrong.

If they helped make his sword, then chances are they've joined him. But then again, her father did say that none of the other gods knew what Titus did. Only Zeus knew of the treachery. So, there's a possibility that Titus never told the children of Hephaestus what he did.

"Besides, there's no one else that can help reforge the trident," said Attina knowing that the magic from the trident can only be reformed by those who know how to make it.

"I guess that's true," said Urchin who knew it was worth a try.

Urchin then noticed the book that Attina has in her hand and seemed confused. "Well, did you find anything about what we're looking for in that book?"

Attina shook her head in response and lifted the journal up. "This appears to be a journal that my father wrote. It talked about the history of our kingdom. How the Titan War began, how my grandfather became the god of the sea, and how Atlantica…or rather, Atlantis came to be."

"Wow. Really?" Urchin asked as Attina gives him the book to read, while she keeps on searching.

Urchin knew he shouldn't be reading this, but he knew any bit of information to help them stop Titus couldn't hurt, right? But as he read, he couldn't help but get sucked in what he was learning. How the world was ruled by these powerful beings called Titans, how the Olympians came to be, and how their kingdom of Atlantica was once called Atlantis.

Even about Titus and how their home fell beneath the sea.

"W-Wow. I can't believe it," said Urchin as he looked on completely surprised and almost overwhelmed with this information. "I-I can't believe King Triton kept this from us, for so long. Why didn't he tell us the truth?"

Attina sighed softly as she understood her father's reason for why he did what he did. "You can't blame him for lying. What his brother did…you can't blame him for wanting to keep this hidden."

"I guess so," said Urchin who knew the king always did what he felt was right for his people and family. "I still wish he had told us about this sooner. Do we have an idea at least how Titus got out?"

"We think it's the woman that was with him," said Attina as she keeps on searching for the item her father told her about. "I thought maybe it was Morgana, but from how Melody described her, she appeared to be much younger, and less ugly than Morgana."

"That doesn't really help narrow down who she is then," said Urchin who knew that there's also no way Ursula and Morgana had a little sister either. "If Titus was sealed away by the power of the trident, then it must be another powerful magical item that would be able to free him."

Attina stops her search and finds out that was true. And there's no way the sea witches had something like that in their possession, right?

"All the more reason to get the trident reformed. If this girl is a powerful magic user, then we'll need the trident to be on equal grounds," said Attina as she searches through her father's closet and finds a trunk. "Hmm, this might be it. Urchin, give me a hand."

Attina tried to pull on the trunk, but it was stuck against the seawall. Urchin swims over and helps pull the trunk free before they pulled it out to the middle of the room.

"Did you find what you're looking for?" Urchin asked.

Attina begins slowly opening the trunk. "Here's hoping it is," she soon gets it open and finds a small box inside.

"This must be it. Daddy did say it would be in a box," she then pulls a key out from her bag. "And that I'd need to use this key to open it."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Open it," said Urchin as his curiosity on what could be in the box got him excited.

Attina didn't waste any time. She begins opening the box and finds what appears to be a horn. A golden horn that looks new, which confused Attina. She examines it and looks confused about what it is.

"This is it?" Urchin asked as he sounded incredibly disappointed. "Not exactly what I was expecting."

"Neither was I," said Attina as she examines it some more, before finding some letters on it. "These words look like they're in Greek. Daddy taught me some Greek a few years ago."

"Was it to prepare you for this?" Urchin asked wondering if the king knew Titus would eventually return and wanted Attina prepared.

"No, because some of the Merpeople that come to visit from around the world all speak in different languages," said Attina who knew she needed to learn all these languages if she wanted to be queen. "It says: "To call for the aid of the gods, simply blow, and we will come."

"That's it? All right let's blow it," said Urchin as he grabs the horn and prepares to blow, but Attina took it back.

"Easy there, Urchin. We clearly need to do this in the surface," said Attina who knew whoever they call, might not be able to breath underwater, even if they're a god. "Come on. Let's get to the surface," she swims over and grabs her other bag and the box with the broken trident. "You ready to go?"

Urchin nods in response, before he remembers something. "That reminds me, Flounder!"

After calling out for Ariel's best friend, Flounder appeared. Swimming into the room, wearing a royal helmet and looking a little slimmer. "You called? Did you guys find what you were looking for to save Ariel?"

After the events with Morgana, Flounder had begun spending time with Melody and Ariel, to make up for lost time. While also revealing he had gotten married and has a couple of kids. When Urchin was given his position as an advisor for the king, he asked Flounder to be by his side. To help him out occasionally.

Something Flounder had no problem doing, especially after Sebastian gave him some tips and gave him his blessing.

"We did," said Attina as she swims over to the fish. "We just need to blow on this and call for help from the gods. Most likely the Greek Gods."

"But I thought you said they left," said Flounder who remembered what Attina had told them where the Greek Gods went.

"We're hoping this horn will summon them back," said Urchin who's hoping they'll be able to help them. "In the meantime, I'm going to need you to keep an eye on things around here."

"Me? Really?" Flounder asked who was a little nervous about taking this role on his own.

"You'll be fine. You just need to help my sisters around and keep the peace," said Attina who knows they can trust Flounder, especially how reliable he's become. "And don't worry, Sebastian will help around, once he comes back from seeing daddy."

"O-Okay. I will do my best then," said Flounder who was nervous about doing this, but this is his chance to show he can do this. "Just promise me to be back soon. I want to go out there and help find Ariel."

"I know," said Attina as she swims over and gives Flounder a hug. "I promise we'll bring her home soon. I just need to get this fixed and we'll be good."

Urchin nods in response knowing once the trident is fixed, they'll go save Ariel from Titus and his pirate friends. "We're counting on you, Flounder. Hold down the fort till we come back."

"You got it and be careful too. Try not to get eaten!" said Flounder as he warns them to be careful.

"We'll be fine. We promise," said Attina as she begins swimming out of the room, with Urchin catching up to her as he grabs his bag and swims out of the palace.

The two begin swimming up towards the surface, while Flounder looks up and watch his friends swim away. Flounder hates that he can't go with them, but he's gotten older and isn't the young adventurer he used to be. He's a proud dad and does what he can to help the people of Atlantica.

He just hopes they'll be back soon, so they can find where Ariel is at, and bring her home. As he begins to swim away, he sees Sebastian swimming towards the palace. Flounder swims out to see him, while noticing the poor crab looking tired. As if he's been swimming for hours.

"Sebastian? Are you okay?" Flounder asked as he stared at the poor exhausted crab.

"W-Wher-e's At-tina? I ne-ed to see h-er," said Sebastian as he tries to catch his breath.

"They left about a minute ago," said Flounder who wonders what happened now. "Is everything okay? Did the pirates come back?!"

"No, no, no," said Sebastian as he begins to recover and explains what happened. "That child, the pirate girl that I told you about. The one who we had captured, she's gone."

"Oh no," said Flounder who knew that was bad, but didn't think it was enough to warrant Sebastian swimming out here like this. "I mean, is that it? I mean, she escaped, but Attina didn't say she did anything wrong, except help fight against the pirates, right?"

"It wouldn't be so bad, if Melody and Lapis didn't go off with her too," said Sebastian as he explains what the real emergency is.

Flounder's eyes widened and began to panic. He asks if they were kidnapped, but Sebastian explained that from the looks of things, they broke the pirate girl out and left with her.

"It looks like they're off to try finding Ariel and the pirates on their own," said Sebastian as he leans back against a rock and groans. "And King Trident had tasked me to come here to round up the guards to begin looking for them."

Flounder should have known Melody would do something like this. After all, she is Ariel's daughter. "I'll go let the guards know. Should we go tell Urchin and Attina?"

Sebastian was tempted, but he knew they had a mission of their own, and they needed to complete it. "No, we can handle this. The ship didn't take off for too long. So, we should be able to track it."

"Okay," Flounder begins calling for one of the guards and orders him to round up the ones who returned from their search of the pirates. "Have them all report to the courtyard and tell them their new orders are to seek out the stolen Arendelle ship that the pirate girl, Melody, and Lapis had taken."

Sebastian explains the details of the ship, so the guards can identify it, and instructs them to keep the ship in place, until Eric and King Triton arrive. The guard understood and took off to rely the information.

Once he is gone, Sebastian groans loudly and rubs his head. "Teenagers, I really had hope I would have avoided doing more stuff like this after I retired."

"Yeah, but knowing our luck, by the time the guards them find, the girls will have found the pirates," said Flounder who knew the history that Ariel and Melody have, they'll be too late to find them.

"I really hope our luck will finally change," but Sebastian knew that was unlikely to happen. "Still, I can't believe Melody would do something so reckless. This is the craziest thing she has ever done."

"I mean, it is, but can you blame her?" Flounder asked, knowing that if he was in her position, he'd probably do the same. "I know if Melody was the one taken, Ariel would be out there searching for her too. Even if it means working with a pirate to do it."

Sebastian hates to admit it, but he knew even with Ariel being older, she would indeed do something so reckless. No matter how old she got, she'd still be willing to do anything to get her daughter back. Even if it means putting her trust and life in the hands of a pirate.

"Still, we need to be prepared," said Sebastian as he got off the wall and begins puffing up his chest. "The second we get confirmation of where the girls are at, we're going to go after them. We can't let them find the pirates on their own and get hurt."

Flounder nods in agreement with the crustacean and knew they'll need to find the girls soon. "I just hope Ariel is okay. I mean, I know Titus needs her in one piece to get the original trident, but you don't think he'll harm her in any way, right?"

"I hope not," said Sebastian who's hoping that Titus will avoid bringing any harm to Ariel. "As long as Ariel doesn't do anything crazy, then I'm sure Titus will not harm her…I hope."

That's all they can really do. Is hope for the best and hope that Ariel will be found soon. Just like he hopes they'll find the girls and bring them home. Even if this pirate girl, Gabriella did save their life, he didn't trust her.

But he is hoping that she'll keep the girls safe, until they find them. And before they run into the pirates.

Meanwhile

Up in the surface, a small female seagull is seen on a rock. A rock that's in the middle of the sea, with a broken mass on it. The bird is seen putting together her nest on the crow's nest, while the bird hums to herself. The humming was of a familiar song that she heard when she was younger. One that her mother sang for her and her siblings.

She finishes putting the final touches of her home before she hears a noise coming nearby. "Hello? Someone there?" she flies out to see what made that sound.

She flies up hoping it isn't a shark. Although, it has been a while since she's seen any sharks around here. Not since King Triton had scared them off. Keeping them away from around here.

Flying over the water, she spots two Merpeople coming out of the water, before recognizing them. "Oh! Princess Attina and Urchin sir. It's been a while. How are you both?"

"Sally? You're living here now?" Attina asked when she saw the kid of Scuttle appear.

After the events with Morgana, Scuttle settled down and found a mate. The two had some babies, before they flew off to live closer to shore. While their children flew off to live somewhere far. Sally, the youngest of the chicks, decided to live close by her folks.

While hoping to have a little adventure too, like the kind her dad had when he helped Queen Ariel.

"Dad told me about this place and how this is where he would show your sister a lot of human junk she'd find," said Sally as she flies over to the rock to find out why the princess is out here with mister Urchin. "So, what brings you both out here? I thought you were going to see your sister and niece?"

Urchin and Attina exchanged a confused look before Urchin ask Sally something. "Sally, don't you know what happened? The castle was attacked last night. Ariel was kidnapped by pirates."

"Pirates?!" Sally asked while appearing to be scared. "I can't believe it. Is Melody, okay? Is her dad, okay? Is the king, okay?"

"They're all okay," said Attina who knew they were still reeling from what happened, but there's nothing much that can be done about it. "But yeah, it happened last night. I'm surprised you didn't know anything about it."

"Well, to be honest? I was um busy," said Sally as she replied a little nervously.

Sally flashed to what she was doing last night. She was busy searching for the right kind of rock to set for her bird's nest. It had to be a specific kind of rock, since it has to fit in an area in the crow's nest, which was already breaking apart. She's done her best to fix it but needed a piece of stone to help put it in a hole that would help finish her work.

So, this took her hours…hours of searching…and hours of finding the exact kind of rock. But hey, it worked. The damage has been fixed and she was able to focus on finishing making her home. Something she was happy and proud of.

Though, now finding out there was trouble not far from where she was at, she felt really guilty.

"But um anyways, is there anything can help you guys with?" Sally asked, hoping she can make up for not being there to help.

"I think we're good," said Urchin as Attina reveals the horn. "We're going to use this to try getting to some people who can fix the trident."

"The trident? What happened to it? Did it break?" Sally asked who's surprised to hear the mighty trident can be broken.

"Not for long," Attina took the horn up, took a deep breath, and blows into the horn.

It loud a loud, deep, and humming sound. A sound that echoed across the sea and sky. Attina, Urchin, and Sally look on waiting to see what would happen. But after almost a minute, nothing happened.

"Hmm, did you guys do it right?" Sally asked.

"I-I think so," said Attina who seems confused on why it didn't work.

"Maybe try it again? A little harder though?" Urchin suggested.

Attina knew it was worth a shot and did it again. She took a deep breath and once more blew into it, but with a little more effort. The sound though was about the same. Loud, booming, and echoed across the sea and sky, but nothing happened again.

Attina was feeling a little discouraged. She thought all she had to do was blow into it and something would happen. But it seems like it didn't work. Was she doing it wrong?

"Hmm did it come with instructions?" Sally asked as she figured that could help them out. "Dad always did say to make sure to read the instructions of what to do."

"But we did," said Urchin as he grabs the horn and shows it. "It says to simply blow, and help will come."

Sally looks at the words and begins turning her head side-to-side. She couldn't understand the words but did try to figure out what it meant.

"Well, do you know who your calling? Maybe it won't work if you don't know who exactly you're trying to talk to," said Sally as she figures that might be the solution.

"W-Who we're trying to call? Who else? It's the Olympian Gods," said Urchin as he explains what they're trying to do. "We're trying to call for the gods to come help us, so we can fix the trident."

"Ooooh I see, I see," Sally took another look at the horn.

All while Attina looks discouraged with what happened. Maybe the thing doesn't work anymore. It is old. So, it's possible that centuries of being under the sea maybe affected it.

If that's the case, then how else are they going to get to Greece? No way in hell can they swim all the way there and back. Even with some help from the sea creatures. They have to find another way to get the trident fixed and soon.

"Hmm you know," Sally began to speak as she begins feeling something familiar about the horn. "This looks a lot like the human from the vase uses."

Attina snaps out of her thoughts and turns towards Sally, confused. "What do you mean? You've seen this horn before?"

"Oh sure," said Sally as she flies over under the pile of seaweed, that was covering a chest, that Sally had hidden. "Melody found this for me a few months ago and began bringing me stuff to fill for my collection. A collection of old shiny stuff."

Sally begins to open the chest and show the different stuff she had. There was a silver plate, utensils, candelabra, hand mirror, and a vase.

"Here it is," Sally pulls it out of the chest and shows it. "See? It looks old. Real old, but I managed to clean it up and it has the human with the same looking horn you guys have."

While Urchin didn't see the resemblance, Attina did. She looks over it and begins noticing some similarities to this human, to the ones she read in her studies. It was then she began seeing the resemblance and realizes they're both the same. And soon any negativity she had about thinking she failed has been lifted.

"Guys, this horn, I know who it belongs to. It's the horn of Hermes. The messenger of the Olympian Gods," Attina now understands why it wasn't working. "Sally is right. We were blowing on it because we didn't know who we wanted to speak to. But now, we do."

Taking the horn from Uchin, she begins taking a deep breath, begins thinking of who she wants to call, and blows. This time, the horn didn't release a loud, booming, and echoing kind of sound. But rather a gentle sound that echoed across the sea and air. Attina finishes blowing and waits to see if this time it worked.

Before long, something happened. A booming sound could be heard, echoing from the sky before Attina, Urchin, and Sally looked on confused about what it is. Whatever it is, it was heading right towards them at a fast speed. Before they knew it, a gust of air blew past them, causing them to get knocked back, with Sally almost blown away.

Once the gust of air died down, Attina looks down and sees the horn is missing, leaving her confused as she tries to find it.

"Looking for something?"

Attina and Urchin look behind them to find on the rock island, is an older looking human around his late 40s with light tan skin, blue eye color, and a blond strawberry hair. While appearing to be wearing a strange garment that Attina has never seen before but did appear to be wearing golden boots and helmet with wings on them.

"You know, I've been looking forward to the day Triton would return this to me. Although, I had expected him to be the one to return to me personally, not his kin," said the older man, who Attina immediately recognized.

"Y-You're Hermes, aren't you? The Messenger of the God," said Attina who is both surprised to meet an Olympian in person, but also happy that it worked.

"You also forgot the fastest god in the entire world," said Hermes as he gives a small bow. "It's an honor to finally meet the daughters of Triton, the granddaughters of Poseidon himself, and my nieces."

Attina knew that Hermes was the son of Zeus, so he's her father's cousin, which would make him her uncle. She knew her family was small and didn't know much about their families from both their father and mother side. So, to get the chance to meet a member of her father's family was exciting, especially knowing they're an Olympian God.

"It's an honor to meet you, Uncle Hermes," said Attina, who's hoping the god will appreciate her calling him 'uncle'.

"Uncle Hermes," said Hermes as he begins laughing a little. "I like that. I've never been called uncle by any of the kids from my cousins, so this is nice."

"Wait, hold on," said Sally as she got up after being blown on to the rock and waddles over to look up at the stranger. "This guy is a god? Like, an actual one?"

"Yes, I am," said Hermes as he kneels down and looks down at the seagull. "And you are?"

"Sally, friend of Attina, her sisters, and their niece, Melody," said Sally who could tell up close to this god, that he really is the real thing, especially when she feels the were oozing from him. "W-Wow. You really are a god, huh?"

"As I said, I am, but don't worry. I'm a nice god," said Hermes as he stood back up and begins to chuckle. "Now, Ares on the other hand. Woo! Now that's a god you don't want to make mad. One time, a mortal made him mad by simply making fun of his armor, and he wound up being torn apart by a group of Spartans."

Well, that was an image that Attina, Urchin, and Sally didn't want to have. But now? They do. They all made a mental note to make sure not to make fun of the God of War.

"Anyways," said Hermes as he decides to get to the point of why he's here. "You blew my horn, so you clearly need something. So, what is it you need then?"

Attina nods as she explains everything. She knew the truth about Titus was going to come out eventually and didn't want to keep this a secret. So, she told him about what Titus did, how it ended up destroying their home, the death of Poseidon, and to the recent events too. Once she finished, she waits to see what the god has to say and hopes he'll help them.

Hermes knew that despite being immortal, that he would never age. He knew eventually that something had happened to Poseidon, his people, and kingdom. The gods all knew, but never found out. They never even asked Zeus, but some of them believed he knew the truth. But if he didn't tell them, then he would have his reason.

"I can't say I'm surprised to hear what happened to Poseidon, much less to his kingdom," said Hermes who knew the problems between the gods and their children was always a complicated one. "I just didn't imagine that Titus of all people would do something like this. I mean, the guy always seemed like one of the few who would be a bad apple like Ares."

"Well, he is, sir," said Urchin knowing that Titus is as bad as they get. "And that's why we called for you, Hermes, sir."

"Is that so?" Hermes asked, curious about what these two needed from him. "So, how may I help the daughter of Triton?"

"We need you to please take us to the children of Hephaestus," said Attina as she opens the box containing the broken trident and shows it. "We're hoping that they'll be able to fix the trident and put it back together."

"Hmm," Hermes begins examining the broken weapon and lets out a loud whistle. "Yep, pretty broken all right. I got to say, I didn't expect Titus to break this in half. Hephaestus always did a good job making these weapons almost indestructible."

"Wasn't he also known to leave a few weaknesses on whatever he made too?" Urchin asked.

"Now, why would he do something like that?" Sally asked who seems confused. "I thought what he does, he wouldn't want to want any weakness on anything he makes."

"I think it was to avoid them being misused?" Urchin asked as he remembered what he had read up with Attina.

"You're not wrong there, kid," said Hermes as he picks up the pieces and examines them closer. "Hephaestus isn't a fool. He always feared one day his weapons would fall into the wrong hands. So, he made sure anything he made, he'd put a weakness in them."

Hermes sets the weapons down and begins to chuckle. "And from the looks of things, the weakness this thing had was against other more powerful magical weapons."

"Like the sword Titus had," said Attina as she explains how the children of Hephaestus made the sword, which Titus used to break through her father's trident. "We're hoping if their father made the trident once, they could do it too."

Hermes knew that was entirely possible but did need to let her know something. "I'm afraid I've got bad news. The ones who made the sword for Titus left their home years ago."

Hermes explained that after years of living in Greece, they decided to leave. Going to the home where the gods had made for themselves.

"And I'm afraid it's an 'gods and demi-gods' place only. Despite being related to Poseidon, you don't qualify, I'm sorry," said Hermes as he apologizes to his niece for the bad news.

"W-What?! No, that can't be," said Attina who knew this isn't what she expected. "T-Ther-e must be something we can do. Can't you just take it to them and have them fix it?"

"I could, but they pretty much hung up their tools and have decided to retire for good," said Hermes as he felt bad for giving his niece the bad news, especially how it seems like they needed the trident fixed.

Hermes knew he could try to talk to the kids, but they're just as stubborn as their father. Trying to get them to change their mind will take time. Something he suspects they don't have. It was then he remembered something important and knew it could work.

"Hold on. We can always pay a visit to his other kid, Lyra," said Hermes as he reveals another child of the blacksmith of the gods.

Attina looked confused when Hermes revealed that Hephaestus had eight children. "Wait? There's an eight child? I thought he and Aphrodite only had seven?"

"Not exactly," Hermes explains that the seven kids that Hephaestus had was with Aglaea, one of the three Charites, who the daughters of Zeus. "However, Aphrodite and Hephaestus had one child together before they broke up, Lyra."

"That's great!" said Urchin who was excited that they have a chance to fix the trident, till he got a dirty look from Attina. "I mean, not great that he broke up with Aphrodite, but um good that there's another kid who can help us."

Attina sighed softly before she turned to Hermes. "Can she really help us? Is she good at making weapons too, like her father?"

"Are you kidding me? Of course. That kid is the chip of the old block as the mortals would say," said Hermes as he explains how Lyra is a lot like her father, a master when it comes to making weapons and armor. "And luckily for you, she doesn't live in Greece. She lives somewhere between where we are to the third world."

Attina knew this is their chance and must capitalize before Lyra takes off too. "Can you take us there?"

"I can't, but…" Hermes took his horn and begins to blow on it, but it let out a different tune than the one Attina had used earlier.

Before long, what sounds like horses neighing could be heard, echoing from the sky. Looking up, they see what looks like horses riding down from the sky, on fire, with a chariot behind them, inflamed as well.

Soon, the horses stop across from Attina, Urchin, and Urchin as they see the one riding the chariot is a tall man with short dark hair, blue eyes, and light tan skin.

"Good evening, Hermes," said the stranger before he turns to the two Merpeople. "Is there a particular reason why you summoned me? And who are these two?"

"The young lady here is Attina, granddaughter of Poseidon," said Hermes as he introduces the stranger to Attina, before he does the same for Attina. "Attina, this is Helios, son of the Titans, Hyperion and Theia, brother of the goddess Selene, Goddess of the Moon, Eos, Goddess of Dawn, and the God of the Sun."

"Former God of the Sun," said Helios as he reminds Hermes of his former position. "I gave it up long ago, just as my sisters gave up their titles as well. We now allow the sun and moon to rise with time. As it should be the natural thing to do without our involvement. Now, why have you summoned me?"

"They need your help," Hermes explains the situation as short as possible, while revealing what happened to Poseidon, Atlantis, Titus, and needing to see Lyra.

"I see," said Helios who had known something bad happened to Poseidon but didn't think it was anything like this. "And you wish for me to take them to see the Hephaestus' child."

"If it isn't too much trouble, Helios, sir," said Urchin who is hoping the former god will agree to do this.

Helios didn't like the idea of being called upon like this just for transportation. However, he knows the danger that Titus poses on the world if he tries to succeed in his plan. The Olympian Gods may have retired from the world, but they still believe in maintaining the balance between good and evil. If Titus goes through with his plan, it will plunge the world in total chaos.

"I will help, but I will only transport you to your destination. Once there, Lyra will teleport you back home," said Helios who will assist them in getting to one part of their goal but won't pick them up.

"Fair enough," said Attina as she begins taking out the magic medallion that she was given by her father to turn human.

She motions for Urchin to take his out too, which he began putting on. Urchin had one given to him so he could visit Ariel in the surface world. While getting a chance to explore around the town. And become fascinated with all the items he found in the human town.

Once the two become human, the two are helped to the chariot by Helios, before he begins remembering where Lyra is at.

"Now hang on," Helios warns the two passengers. "I don't want you two falling off to your death or end up losing a limb, while we're moving so fast."

"Y-Yes, of course," said Attina before she turns to Hermes and gives him a small bow. "Thank you so much for all your help. I hope we'll meet again."

Hermes gives a small bow back, while taking his helmet off. "I hope it will be once this is all over. I'll be sure to let Zeus know what's going on and see if can offer any assistance you might need."

"Actually," Attina realizes what assistance they could need. "If it's possible, can Zeus help us find out where Titus is at and where he's going? So, once we get the trident fixed, we can let daddy know and we can go after Titus."

"Hmm I suppose that can work," said Hermes who knew Zeus is willing to do that but won't be able to do more than that. "As long as that's it. Since Zeus did make it clear we can't interfere in the affairs of this world."

"At least, physically," said Helios who didn't agree with the decision made by Zeus, but he knew with the path humanity has taken, they have to avoid coming back to the world and bring chaos back. "Zeus believes if humanity knew we existed and we did come back, it would divide humanity. Causing those who believe in us to purge those who don't believe or refuse to pray to us. Humanity needs to make the right decisions on their own. Without the involvement of the gods."

Attina understood and respect the wishes of the gods. "I still appreciate all you've done for us."

"You're welcome, my lady," said Hermes before turning to Urchin. "Take good care of her now. If Trident gave her the trident, then he must believe she'll be a great queen one day. So, guard her with your life."

Urchin nods knowing he will do all he can to protect and keep Attina safe. "I will make sure no harm comes to her."

"Let's hope you are ready then," said Helios as he grabs the reins of his horses. "Now, let's go!"

Helios snaps on the reins, causing the horses to let out a loud neigh in union before they begin taking off. Riding across the sea, before they begin flying higher and higher off to the sky. Until the horses lead the chariot above the clouds and towards their destination. While Attina and Urchin hold on for dear life.

Hermes watches on as the chariot keeps on going until it is out of his sight. "There they go. Off to fix the trident and save the day."

At least, that's what Hermes hopes will happen once the trident is safe. He knew though that if Titus gets to the original trident before they come back, then nothing can stop him.

"I guess all I can do is tell Zeus the news and hope he'll provide some aid," said Hermes as he puts his helmet back on and begins kicking his feet together. "At least, one that won't involve him breaking his oath…" it was then that Hermes remembers seeing there was a bird around here earlier. "Now then, where did that bird go?"

That's the end and it looks like the journey to fixing the trident has begun. I'm glad to be including Urchin, who never got to appear in the sequel of the Little Mermaid or get much mention either. I didn't mind him and felt he was someone who became important in the television series. While also giving a little refresher for those who didn't read the first chapter.

This way, you know more of Titus, what he did, and why the others are trying to stop him. I also am happy to bring in Flounder. I was worried about writing his part, but my friend helped me out, and I was able to get it done. So, hope it turns out well.

Also, yeah, I brought in the Olympian Gods and why they're no longer in the human realm. While also refusing to get involved to help. Can't let them get involved and end the story so soon. Still, will the daughter of Hephaestus help them fix the trident?

Will they have it fix on time before Titus gets his hands on the original trident? Will Gabriella and her team make it to Ariel before its too late? Are we also going to get back to them at some point? Or to another side plot?

Tune in next time to find out & thank you all for the support for my friend. He appreciates all the support for his story and if you like how this chapter went, then please leave some reviews. Just nothing negative please. See you all next time, take good care, and have a good day.
