I was currently working in the lair. I had definitely gained more muscle than when I started but I was still pretty small. I knew that I could at least handle myself in a fight, but I may struggle against an experienced larger opponent. Fortunately, I did not exclusively have to fight with my hands. I just wanted to be ready because I knew that I would have to do some combat in the near future. I knew that I would be meeting Sara soon and my skills would be tested against a League of Assassins member. Once I got done, I looked over to Mia who was smiling at me.

"You look so peaceful when you're training." She commented.

"That's because it's always been relaxing for me." I explained. "So how do you like your new costume?"

"Well it's definitely something different. I've never worn a mask like that before. I'm also not the biggest fan of red." She admitted. I could tell that it would take some getting used to. It took me some getting used to adapt to that style of costume, even though my biggest concern at the time was adapting to being female. I was glad that I was no longer uncomfortable in my body. "So where's Courtney?"

"She's working." I explained. I was also glad that I had trained her well. I mean she still wasn't very much of a fighter, but at least I had trained her to do something. "She's really not very good at combat and I've pretty much accepted that."

"So you never told me how the two of you met." Mia responded.

"I mean she was the first person to really talk to me at school. Pretty much everyone else was afraid of me. Let me ask you something. Do I give off a scary vibe to you?"

"I mean a little." She answered. Well I was at least glad that she was being honest. "You're a little bit intense."

"I can't help it. Being approachable is something that I haven't really done since before the accident." I admitted. I wondered if that was something that I should work on, but that was probably harder than working on my body. "But yeah as soon as she talked to me, the two of us just clicked, but it actually took me a few weeks to figure out that she was a superhero."

"Did you try talking to Mom at all?" She inquired.

"I did. She's just not the same person that she is where we're from. She doesn't like me the same way and I guess I'm okay with that. It was really hard for me to accept my feelings for Courtney. I still feel like I'm cheating on her." I explained.

"Mom would want you to be happy. If you're happy, then you should focus on being happy." She declared.

I knew that I was pretty happy. I had basically accepted that I was never going to go home and wanted to live my best life here. Not to mention, the city needed me. I liked living a world where not everyone knew who I was

"So I'm going to need more sparring dummies." I declared. "Usually, it's just me and occasionally Iris that do the fighting. Also it's harder to figure out what I'm supposed to do now. I can't guarantee that everything will go the same as it did before."

"How did it go before?" She inquired.

"Well there was a months-long plan headed by Slade Wilson." I explained. I then noticed that she looked a little nervous. "What's wrong?"

"When I got back to my own time, I found out that I was in a relationship with Rose Wilson." She explained. I wasn't aware that Slade had a daughter. It must have been pretty recent.

I then went out to the floor where some music was playing. Thea was there because she needed a break from company life.

"Hey, I didn't see you come in." She remarked.

"That's because I have a secret entrance." I quipped. She stared at me. "I'm kidding. So how does it feel being a CEO? Have you met your new advisor yet?"

"Not yet." She answered. "I know it's supposed to be a man though. He probably won't like that I'm the CEO."

"You shouldn't judge someone before you meet them." I explained. I was a bit curious who it would be and if it would be someone that I know. At that point, Thea's phone rang.

"Yes, this is her. What? She's in jail?" She asked. I knew Roy had been doing some work, but was Linda doing something. "Okay, I'll be right there."

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Dinah's dad. It seems my girlfriend got arrested and I have to bail her out." She answered. Okay, Linda wanting to be a vigilante was not something that I expected. I hoped that she wouldn't get hurt.

"I'll come with you." I volunteered.

When we got to the station, we found Linda was indeed there and she was a little banged up. I couldn't help but wonder what she had been doing. She must have been at a crime scene if she had been arrested. Apparently, someone had been robbing FEMA trucks. That was pretty low to take things from people who needed that stuff for recovery. I would have to find out who was doing it and stop them.

"What the hell were you doing?" Thea asked her.

"It was nothing." Linda replied.

"I thought you were going to stop doing this stuff. You need to stop trying to emulate this vigilante because something like that is not going to go well for you." Thea responded. I wished that she had told me about that because I would have been able to give her an opinion, though she may not have been happy with the way that I had handled things the last time. "Do I need to get you an attorney?"

"They're not pressing charges." Quentin explained. "But your girlfriend really needs to stay out of trouble."

"Thank you, Detective." I told him.

"I'm not a detective anymore." He replied. "There are a lot people in this department that want to see the vigilante dead or brought to justice."

"Are you one of them?" I questioned.

"I wouldn't be in this position if I was." He declared. That was one thing that I always liked about him. He was willing to sacrifice his career if it meant doing what was right. I just hoped things would turn out better for him.

"Thea, can you ask Iris to get the car?" I questioned. I had had Iris take us because I knew that Thea was not great at driving when she was angry. She then walked away. "I thought I told you to stop this."

"Yeah, and I don't really have any reason to listen to you." She pointed out. "But I wasn't even looking for this. I just saw the men on motorcycles going after the FEMA truck. I'm not just going to stand by and let crime happen."

"You could have been killed though. As mad as Thea is, she's probably a lot happier that she found you here instead of the morgue." I stated.

"I was hoping that I would see her again." She responded.

"Who? The vigilante?" I asked. I was confused because I had never been close to her while in costume.

"No. There was someone else." She stated. I tried breaking some guys attacking a waitress at Big Belly Burger when this blonde woman showed up. She let some sort of sonic blast from her mouth."

I knew that I should try to find Sara, but stopping the FEMA robberies was probably more important.

"Well please take this advice. Don't ruin your relationship with my sister because you have a crush on some superhero." I told her.

"I don't have a crush on her." Linda argued.

In the morning, instead of being in school, I was in the office with Thea and Malcolm. I was in business attire, which meant a white blouse and black skirt.

"So why I am here again?" I asked.

"Your club is a subsidiary of the company, so I thought that you would want to meet our new advisor." Malcolm explained. The three of us then went into the boardroom. I shouldn't have been surprised when we saw a familiar face…though I wasn't expecting him. "Thea, Olivia, meet Ray Palmer."

"Hi." Ray greeted us.

"Aren't you some big CEO of your own? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well I wish I was but being just because I designed a moderately successful app doesn't mean that I'm rolling in the money." Ray answered. "I'm glad that you've heard of me though. It's a pleasure to meet you and your daughters, Mr. Merlyn."

"Well only Olivia is my blood-daughter." Malcolm replied. "Now, Mr. Palmer, I have hired you to assist Thea and help her with some of the more difficult aspects of business. I trust your expertise."

"Yes, you can count on me." Ray promised. I couldn't help but wonder if he was interested in using our company's funds to build his Atom suit.

At that point, I turned on the TV. I saw that Sebastian Blood was holding a press conference in front of the hospital.

"Who's that?" Ray asked.

"Sebastian Blood, the alderman that thinks the Glades have been abandoned." I explained. "So, I should probably get ready for school. I trust my sister will be in good hands with you."

When I got to school, I ran into Courtney and gave her a kiss.

"So I heard that your sister's girlfriend got arrested last night." She remarked. I was pretty sure that I knew who told her that. "What was she even doing?"

"She was trying to stop a robbery on a FEMA truck in the Glades." I stated. "That's something that we need to get on because we can't have civilians getting hurt or dying trying to do it themselves."

"Well what are we going to do?" She inquired. "Do you have a plan for that yet?"

"I mean finding out when the next delivery is going to be is a start." I stated. "I know that the people in the hospital are suffering because the doctors can't get the supplies that they need."

"Well what are you going to do?" She questioned. "We don't even know who the hijackers are or where they're going to be."

"Well it's a good thing that we don't all have to be in the same place then." I declared. "Now I have to get to class."

As it turned out, my first class was gym. We were playing volleyball. However, I soon found myself being in the back by my own teammate.

"What the hell, Artemis?" I asked her. Artemis Crock was one of the school jocks.

"Sorry I must have missed." Artemis replied with a smirk. "But I suppose you know all about accidentally hurting people."

"The earthquake was not my fault." I argued.

"Well my dad lost his gym because of your dad's earthquake machine and three of his trainers died." She told me. "And I'm never going to let you forget that."

"Alright, break it up you two." The gym teacher, who happened to be Artemis's mom intervened.

That night, I was in the lair with the team as we prepared for the night.

"So what do we do know?" I asked.

"FEMA is sending a truck to Glades Memorial tonight." Mia explained.

"I have a feeling that our motorcycle gang is going to be there." Iris added.

"Well we're just going to stop them from intercepting the truck." I told them.

"How are we going to do that?" Courtney asked.

"We're going to split up. the three of us will take different points along to the route and look for any sort of suspicious activity." I explained. "We should be able to take down a few crooks. We have to make sure that this truck makes it to the hospital tonight."

As it turned out, the thieves were going straight to the warehouse, but I had planned for that. While I wished that I could have saved the employees who were killed, I was able to at least save one of them.

"Get down!" I ordered as he ducked and I shot the assassins. "Make your delivery. I'll follow you and I have backup to insure that this truck gets to the Glades Memorial."

However, before he could even start driving, he was hit in the neck.

"Well long time no see." China White remarked. "I had thought that you retired. I thought I would never get the chance to pay you back for interfering with my business."

"Your business is going under." I declared. I took a shot at her before Bronze Tiger showed up and blocked it with his claws. I was hoping that he wouldn't be an issue.

"I don't think my friend agrees with you. You see I was eager to see you dead and he was eager to kill you." She explained.

I fired several arrows at him.

"Not even aiming for the head. I was promised a fight." He taunted me. I noticed that she was driving off with the supplies, but I couldn't really deal with that at the moment. My combat was being tested. What made matters worse was the fact that the police showed up. I had to make a quick exit. On top of that, I was disappointed. Had I remembered Bronze Tiger was going to be there, I would have brought Courtney and Mia with me. I should have been prepared for that because it already happened.

I then went back to the club where I had to get a bullet out of my ankle before it could heal. It was still kind of painful.

"Does that hurt?" Courtney asked.

"Yeah, but only until it heals." I explained as the wound sealed up.

"You know it's kind of messed-up that the police are more interested in catching you than the Triad." Mia commented.

"The police have always gone after her." Iris explained.

"This time it was different because they got in my way." I replied. "I'm having a difficult time right now because I have people at school harassing me and now I have this."

"Okay, calm down." Mia responded.

I knew that I was losing my cool which I hadn't done in a long time. It was just that I seemed to be so more emotional, but maybe that was part of being a teenager. I would have to find a way to retain balance or I wouldn't be able to do this. I knew that I couldn't shut myself off from my emotions, but I definitely wouldn't be able to let them control me. It was a bit of a delicate situation.

"So there's something that I really want to address. I really want to find Deadshot. She's still out there." Iris remarked.

"Okay, I will start to look into it." I agreed. "Though you have to realize that she may be easy to find. This could take weeks over maybe even months."

"I know but it just makes me feel so helpless knowing that my father's killer is still around." Iris stated before she walked off.

"So wait, Deadshot killed Joe here?" Mia asked in surprise.

"It's a long story." I explained. At some point, I would have to tell her all of the differences between our world and this one."

At that point, my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"I need some advice. I think I want to break up with Linda." She declared.

"Because she got arrested?" I responded.

"Because she's chasing some vigilante." Thea responded. "I can't bear to think about what will happen if she gets hurt or worse."

"Well do you think that breaking up with her will get her to stop?" I questioned. "Maybe you should just have a long conversation about it."

I knew that there was one thing that could possibly get Linda to stop this pursuit, but I was pretty sure that it wasn't a good idea and it could also make things worse. I then heard my phone beep.

"I gotta go. I have another call." I replied before I answered the other one. "Hey Tommy."

"So I need your help with something." He said.

"Did you want to set up a fund to treat patients from the Glades at Starling General for free while their hospital is low on supplies?" I asked.

"No…but that's a great idea. What I was actually calling about is since Dinah's birthday is coming up soon, I want to get her an engagement ring." He answered.

"Well you need to make sure that you're ready to be married." I stated. I actually did have experience with messing up an engagement. "Don't do this if you're not. You have to treat an engagement like the wedding is a few hours later. Are you ready for that?"

"I think you have been too many romcoms but yes I think I'm ready and I still have a few weeks to decide." He declared. "I love you."

"I love you too." I told him before I hung up.

The next day at school, I had decided to do something proactive. I had called Sebastian Blood to meet me, but since I wasn't CEO, we were in a different place.

"I'm surprised that you wanted to meet with me. It must have been nice to have so much money that you could just rebuild all of this." He commented.

"My mother and stepfather planned something unspeakable that resulted in a terrible tragedy, but I am my own person." I explained. "I'm not your enemy."

"You're not a friend either, to me or the other the Glades." He told me.

"I was hoping that I could prove you wrong." I declared.

"Ms. Queen, I know you're young, but not every problem can be solved by money." He argued. "Real change won't happen until your elitist friends realize that they can't just let thousands of their fellow citizens be treated like they live in a third world country."

"Then maybe we can show them." I offered. "I will host a benefit and invite some of my 'elitist friends' and you and I can show them what needs to be done."

"If people see you, the daughter of the architect of this problem standing up and being this cause's public face…that would make a difference." He agreed.

"Then let's make a difference." I declared as I stood up and offered my hand to him. He stood up and shook it.

"Listen, I do wish any harm to you or your family…except maybe your mother. Sometimes I left my emotions get the better of me." He stated.

I did have to start planning for such a thing, but I was pretty good at making things up on the fly. I didn't know if I could get a band in time, but hopefully I would be able to get enough to come. It also may not be the easiest to get people to come in support of me, but I did know that I was pretty persuasive. I decided to head to the office. I had to take the fastest way to get across town…even though I didn't like it. I then looked at Courtney because I didn't think I would ever get used to that.

"So what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I have to schedule a benefit and I am going to need some donors." I told her. "You don't have to come to this if you don't want to."

"Okay, bye." She replied as she kissed me and flew away. It looked like I would be riding home with Thea then.

I then went inside and straight up to the office. I was surprised by who I saw there even though I knew he was supposed to be there.

"Miss Queen, what are you doing here?" He asked me.

"Mr. Palmer, I was hoping to talk to my sister." I declared.

"She's in a meeting right now." He explained. "But if I can help you, I would like to try."

"Well I'm hosting a benefit for the Glades at my club and I need some donors." I replied. I couldn't help but wonder if he would be interested in it.

"I could probably spare some money." Ray declared. I couldn't help but wonder much money he had in this universe.

"That would be great." I told him. "But I want to have plenty of them. Would you know anyone else who would be willing to donate to the cause."

"I can talk to some people. Do you have any sort of goal that you want to reach?" He asked me.

"I don't know if any amount will be enough, but I would to get as much as I can." I answered. "I also need it soon because it's gonna be tomorrow night."

The following night, I had the club closed to the public in order to have the benefit there. It was a lot easier to do on a weeknight. I was wearing a pink lace dress. I was trying to do my best to help people on both fronts, even though I had considered that the people who trying to cause chaos in the Glades might attack the place. I had to hire extra security just in case. I was about to go out when I got a call from Iris.

"So I have some really bad news. I know that you are doing your benefit tonight but I kind of found out that the next FEMA shipment is kind of going right now." She declared. Why did my timing have to be so bad? I knew that I could possibly ask Courtney or Mia to take care of it, but it also didn't feel right to let them go into harm's way with me. On the other hand, I knew that going out right now would look really bad. I knew that I might have to ruin my own reputation in order to do what was right and it sucked. Maybe if I got done quickly, I would be able to show up still, but I didn't know if I could do that. "Are you going to try to stop it?"

"I think I have to." I declared. There really wasn't a right answer. Being at the benefit would be a temporary solution, but it wouldn't help the greater good in the long run. I probably shouldn't have volunteered to do something that I didn't know if I could keep. "As much as it pains me to do this, we have to do what's right for the city and doing this is what's right for the city."

It led to all three of us heading to the FEMA plant. I didn't know why the Triad wanted the people of the Glades to suffer so much. What was in it for them? I knew that they were terrible people, but was someone paying them to disrupt the trucks? I couldn't help but wonder if Slade was behind it. I tried to remember if I ever found out why they were doing it.

"I see that you are on time to die." China White declared. You know that kind of reminded me of this X-Men arcade game I played as a kid where Magneto said 'Welcome to die.' I also knew that wherever I was, the cops wouldn't be very far behind me, so I would have to find a way to work around them. I knew that I would be able to do this. I was pretty sure that this time, I would be successful, even if it was the worst possible time.

Basically, Mia was going to be in charge of preventing the Triad from leaving with the shipment while Courtney and I dealt with China White and Bronze Tiger. I might have been easier for the two of them to be switched, but I felt like it was easier to do with Courtney's staff. I was also a little surprised by how well she was holding her own in combat. Maybe that training really was helping her.

I also had a trick to fool the police. I had Mia dig up some old surveillance and feed it to the police so they wouldn't be able to get in my way. Of course, it would probably only be a temporary solution because someone at the plant might have called 911. I was a tussle with Bronze Tiger when I noticed Mia was behind the wheel of the truck. She was definitely not supposed to be driving it, but someone had to make sure that it made it to the hospital in time. At the same time, I noticed that Bronze Tiger had mysteriously disappeared, but I was pretty sure that it did not mean that he was gone.

"Where did he go?" Courtney asked.

"I'm not sure but we need to find him." I explained as we started to go through a shipping container.

He took a few slashes at me with his claws, but he was mostly remaining hidden.

"Are you too afraid to face me? I was promised a fight." I declared using his own words against him.

He then came out and I took another shot at him, successfully hitting him. He winced in pain.

"That hurt but it won't stop me." He declared as he raised his claws ready to slash at me again.

"What about this?" Courtney asked as she fired a shot at him. It knocked him out. I would have to make sure to get him tied up for the cops finally got here.

"Mia, how is everything going?" I asked. I then realized that she didn't answer. "Come on, we need to go find her."

I found her in a fight before I shot an arrow tied the Chinese woman to a post.

"You've changed. The old you would have killed me by now." She told me.

"The police can take the shipment the rest of the way." I declared.

"They still won't see as anything other than the enemy." She pointed out. "You'll never be anything but a criminal to them, which means you'll never be a hero."

"I don't care what the police think of me or what the public thinks of me as long as the city is safe." I retorted.

I then watched the news to see that they were reporting on the capture of her. I still felt kind of bad that I had to miss the benefit in order to make that happen. Yes, the money was still going to go to the cause, but they wanted me there. There was also no confirmation that I was there, but the media was speculating it.

"You know I could have handled her. I didn't need you to protect me." Mia told me.

"You're my daughter. It's my job to protect you." I quipped. "You know I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you growing up and I'm sorry that you felt that you had to go on a one-way trip to another universe just to see me again. I know that I'm not exactly in my best state here, but I think I can do more this time."

"All you really need to do to be a hero is being there for people when they need you to be. Don't feel bad about missing the benefit. You'll have some other chances to fix things and those people at school will eventually forget about the problems that they have with you." She replied. "Now how about you go and end this night with your girlfriend."

"When did you become such a shipper?" I asked.

"When do you become such a teenage girl?" She teased. I then went off to see Courtney, who was cleaning up the upstairs.

"So you seemed to hold your own in that fight a lot better than you did before." I commented.

"Well I really took your training about hand-to-hand combat to heart." She explained. "So does that make me a badass now?"

"Not quite." I replied with a laugh. "But it does make me feel pretty attracted to you."

At that point, Thea called me yet again. I couldn't help but wonder if she and Linda had managed to patch things up. I hoped that they did because I didn't really want to pay her a visit like I had done with Roy.

"So Linda told me that she's not going to try to pick any more fights the Triad or anyone else." She explained. "I think we're going to be okay. I just want to thank you for listening to all my silly relationship trouble."

It was then that got an alert that Dinah wanted to meet with me at the site of her old restaurant. I had a bad feeling about it but I went there anyway because I was pretty sure that it had to be done. I was being lured into a trap but I knew that I should go.

When I got there, the police were indeed there. It was a bit of a tricky situation but I knew that I was going to get out of it.

So I decided to develop some of Olivia's relationships in this chapter and since a big theme of the season was Oliver's life at the company, this will feature a lot of Olivia at school. She's got herself a bit of a bully. Also Ray is going to be Thea's advisor for the company. Please don't forget to review.
