The Demon hub
"Would you rather…kiss a frog…or kiss a worm?" Elfo asked.
"Eat the worm, kick the frog," Luci replied.
"I said kiss, not eat,"
"Well, I said eat, so deal with it,"
The Elf and Demon were lying on a soft patch of grass, staring at the white clouded sky. The two were extremely bored. Koga was off on crusade with Pendergast, Turbish, and Mertz. Bean was hanging out with Hilda while trying not to spill the knowledge of her older brother's wrongdoings. So, Luci was stuck with Elfo. In a way, there's nothing wrong with that. But as of right now, there isn't anything exciting going on. Well, not to Luci, of course. Elfo decided to partake in a series of what if and would you rather questions, which Luci was not taking seriously at all.
"Would you rather save the princess or take the gold?" Elfo asked.
"Slay the princess and take the gold," Luci replied.
Elfo frowned. "Luci, I said save the princess. Not slay her,"
"I know,"
Elfo groaned. "Forget it. Let's do something else,"
"Like what?"
"I don't know. What do you wanna do?"
"Wanna go get high off fairy dust again?"
"Hell no! I swore off that stuff once I got better! I was coughing up glitter for days!"
Luci rolled his eyes. "Fine. What about that place Bean is always talking about? The Den of Wonders, I think it's called?"
"I wouldn't be opposed to it, but Bean wants us all to go together sooo..."
"UGGGH! Fine, let's go trip someone down a flight of stairs or something," Luci said, scowling.
"Or…you can come with us to the Demon hub," said a soft, exotic, yet familiar voice.
"Demon hub? That sounds pretty fun, actually—OH MY GOD!" Elfo gasped loudly.
Luci turned around, and his eyes widened in shock as Pazuzu towered over Luci and Elfo. The two of them ran for it, but Eligor, hanging on a branch above them on a low hanging branch, grabbed them with his tail and held them tight.
"What's the rush boys?" Eligor asked, grinning.
"Oh god! They're here for revenge!" Elfo cried.
"Revenge?" Pazuzu gave Elfo a puzzled look. "Why would I want to get revenge on you two?
"Wait, you're not here to seek revenge for Fusuc?" said Luci.
Puzuzu and Eligor looked at each other. The two would bust out in a fit of laughter. "No, we're not here on Fuscu's behalf, Luci!" said Puzuzu.
"Yeah, to hell with Fuscu! Not literally, but figuratively," said Eligor
"Oh, thank goodness…" Elfo let out a sigh of relief.
"We just wanted to see if you two wanted to come with us to the newly opened Demon Hub!" said Eligor.
"Demon hub?" said Luci.
"With all the demons around in Dreamland, I thought it would be nice to have a place where we can all socialize. Considering that the castle wasn't going to do since you kicked them all out," said Pazuzu.
"Serves them right for trying to take my windowsill spot," said Luci grudgingly.
"Jeez, these sub demons really love their tiny spots, don't they?" said Eligor, looking at Pazuzu.
"I think it's adorable," said Pazuzu.
"I'm not adorable…" Luci mumbled.
"Are elves allowed in the demon hub?" Elfo asked.
"Of course," Eligor licked his lips. Elfo let out a frightened whimper, and Eligor laughed. "I'm just kidding! I don't eat elves. They're too sweet anyway."
Elfo went from frightened to offended. "Hey, what's wrong with being sweet?" He asked, crossing his arms and staring down at Eligor.
"What? I don't like a lot of sweet things! I like things with a lot of meat, salt, and carbs!" Eligor licked his lips at the thought.
"It's all going to go to your thighs," said Pazuzu.
"Don't you talk about thighs," Eligor narrowed his eyes at Pazuzu.
"Don't be mad because mine are natural," Pazuzu said. "It attracts a lot of wonderful people, too."
"You are one horny demon," said Elfo.
"I'm an incubus. It's hard to control at times,"
"Wait, you're an incubus?" said Luci, surprised.
"None of you knew that? We went to high school together. I thought it was pretty obvious," said Pazuzu.
"I always thought you were just a slut," said Eligor. Pazuzu slaps Eligor across the face with his tail. "OW! What the hell?!"
"I don't like it when people point that out," Pazuzu frowned. "Come on, boys, let's head to the hub."
Elfo and Luci found themselves in town, standing in front of a small, rundown-looking building with a large roof hole, broken windows, faded letters that nobody could read out clearly, and a wide wooden plank used as a temporary door.
"This is the place?" Elfo looked over at Eligor.
Eligor smiled. "Yup. Beautiful, isn't it?"
"Yeah…it's gorgeous…" Luci said sarcastically.
"Whenever we can kidnap someone who knows about remodeling the place, it'll look much better," said Pazuzu.
Eligor moves the wooden plank to the side, letting Elfo, Luci, and Pazuzu walk in. Immediately, a room full of demons greeted Pazuzu and Eligor. The room was full of sub-demons and a few uber-demons. Demons were sitting on the beams above, sitting at the tables drinking and playing cards, and some were banging on pots and pans in an attempt to make music.
The demons placed their eyes on Elfo. One of them licked their lips. "Heeey, the boys brought back a snack!"
Elfo shivered frighteningly. But Pazuzu stepped in front of him. "No, no boys, he's with us. He's not food." The demons released an 'Awww…' and returned to doing random activities.
"Hey Luci!" said Chops, the tiny sub demon. "Wassup, my man!"
"Yooo chops! Up top!" Luci held up his hand, and Chops leaped to high-five him. "Down low!" Chops slaps his hand again. "Tail Slap!" The two did the same with their tails up high and down low.
"Hey Chops! Up top—OW!" Elfo cried as chops bit his hand. "OW OW OW OW!"
"Yeah, you set yourself up for that," said Luci.
"HEY!" Eligor yelled. "WHO ATE MY GARBAGE!"
"Oh, sorry bro…was that yours?" said an uber demon named Roz. His wings were long, and his hair was done in a mohawk style.
"STOP EATING MY TRASH!" Eligor tackled Roz, and the two began wrestling on the ground.
A sub-demon named Loco, who was a chubby demon, watched as Eligor and Roz wrestled. "You two are so imma—" His cheeks puffed, and Loco let out a loud burp followed by a large stream of fire. "Immautre…ahem…excuse me."
"So what do you think?" asked Pazuzu, staring at Luci.
"Well…the chaos part looks good," Luci rubbed his chin. "Buuuuut this place could use a remodel. Add some Pazaz to it!"
"Hmm…you're right? I was trying to go for the rundown feel buut…giving it an aesthetic would be nice. What ideas do you have?"
"I think I have a few ideas In mind. How about we head to the castle and grab a few things? We can make this place look so much better with our creative minds!"
Pazuzu rubbed his chin and smirked. "Sounds like a plan to me. Mm…I wonder if Sheamus will be there."
"Can we get something for my finger while we're there?" The Elf asked.
"You'll be ok, just suck on it or something,"
Elfo places the finger in his mouth. "Mmmm! My blood is tasty!"
Elfo, Luci, Pazuzu, and a few other demons made their way to Dreamland Castle. They entered the storage closet and grabbed tools like paint, streamers, wood, nails, and other tools to repair buildings. Two knights watched as the demons, one by one, marched out of the castle with various tools. "So…do cats normally do this kind of stuff?" The knight asked. The other knight replied. "Eh, cats do what cats do. I don't question it." The demons returned to town and returned to the demon's hub. They immediately began working on remolding the building. An Uber demon named Polo, who had a lot of reconstruction knowledge, assisted the demons in repairing parts of the worn-down building. He wore a construction worker's hat and a dark green tunic vest.
"NO NO! NOT RIGHT THERE!" Polo shouted. "Turn it over!"
"I don't know what that means!" A sub shouted back.
One of the wooden beams fell over and landed on top of a sub-demon that was walking by. "OW!" He squeaked.
"For the love of—This is an area under construction! Stop walking by!" Polo yelled.
In due time, the building was now cleaner and more stable. The outside looked terrific, but what mattered the most was the inside. The inside of the Demon Hub had a gothic design to it. Candles were hanging from the ceiling, tables were neatly placed around the room, and black and red banners were hung on the walls. All the sub-demons and uber-demons were drinking and partying in celebration of the newly remodeled demon hub cabin. Elfo was partaking in the famous Spin the Elf game, making him dizzy and puking his breakfast. Eligor and Roz were in the background, drunkenly singing their hearts out with a pair of sub-demons playing instruments.
Pazuzu warmly looked at the partying demons as he sipped from his mug. He nods, then turns to Luci. "Thank you so much for your help, Luci," The uber demon said sincerely. "I wouldn't have taken this whole remolding thing as far as you have."
Luci downed his mug and then replied. "Eh, no problem. It's cool being somewhere that isn't the castle. He placed his eyes on the tall uber demon. "Sooo…are you really not trying to get revenge for Fuscu?"
Pazuzu chuckled. "I already told you no, Luci. He didn't care about us, so I—I mean— we don't care about him anymore. Sorry for all that trouble we caused you."
"Nah, don't worry about it," Luci waved him down. He looked around the room. "You know…this place would make a good bar."
Pazuzu eyed the room. "Huh, yeah, it would be."
"I can earn some cash, act like I'm listening to people's problems, and watch them drink themselves into alcohol poisoning and take their money," Luci cackled a bit. "Oh man, now that is a dream."
Pazuzu grinned at Luci. "I like the sounds of that. Maaaaybe, could I help out by making the drinks?"
"You can make drinks?"
"It's one of my little hobbies. I have a few secret recipes,"
"Is it the demon spit?"
"Shhhh…" Pazuzu held his finger over his mouth.
Luci and Pazuzu shared a quick laugh. The two looked over at Loco, who was chugging a whole keg of alcohol. Elfo and a group of demons were chanting. "GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!" And they cheered when Loco had downed the whole keg.
"Beat that you—" Loco placed his hands over his mouth. "Oh, man…"
"HAHAHA! He's going puke like the Elf," said a sub-demon.
But Loco didn't vomit. Instead, Loco released a loud burp followed by a large stream of fire. The fire hit the newly built wooden table and chairs and quickly spread. Elfo gasped. "OH MY GOD! EVERYONE HEAD FOR THE EXIT, OR YOU'LL ALL BURN ALIVE!" All of the demons in the room just stared at Elfo. Elfo eyed everyone and then realized. "Oh wait…you all aren't going to burn alive by fire. I'm the one who's in danger," He chuckled. "Silly me!" His smile would soon fade. "Oh wait…I'm the one who's in danger!" His eyes widened. "OH MY GOD! I'M GOING TO BE BURNED ALIVE!"
"Oh, will you shut up already!" said Eligor, grabbing Elfo by the back of his shirt and tossing him outside the building.
The demons would soon follow one another out of the demon hub. They all stood outside and watched the fire consume the building. Soon after, all that was left was burned wood and ash.
"Well…that was fun while it lasted," said an uber demon as he sprouted his wings and flew off. Many other demons would fly or walk off, leaving only Elfo, Luci, Loco, Pazuzu, and Eligor.
"Sorry about that, guys," said Loco, crawling off.
It was now just Elfo, Luci, Pazuzu and Eligor.
"Well…that sucks," Elfo frowned. "All of that work for nothing."
Pazuzu shrugged. "Oh well, it is what it is."
"Yeah, we can always find a place or scare a bunch of dumb humans out of a home if we ever wanted a place to hang out," said Eligor.
"Huh, I never thought of doing that," said Luci, rubbing his chin.
"You stay at the castle Luci. Why would you want to do that?" said Elfo.
"Just for the fun of it," Luci smirked.
Eligor laughed. "Exactly!"
"So, what are you two going to do now?" Luci asked
"Well, I guess I can try to hook up with someone or just lounge around. Either works for me," said Puzuzu. "Also, Luci, if you still decide to do that bar idea, let me know, ok?"
"Will do, Pazuzu," Luci smiled.
The two uber demons would sprout their wings and fly off.
Elfo grinned at Luci. Luci turned to Elfo and scowled. "What are you grinning at?"
"Look at you making friends!"
"Oh, shut up!"
"With your old bullies too!"
"I said shut it!"
"I'm so proud of you Lu—OW!" Elfo was knocked to the ground by Luci's tail.
"Ugh, I'm going to the bar,"
"I'm still proud of you!" Elfo called out to him.
"Ugh…"
