Corpo Female V – Gorilla Arms and focus on Handguns and Blades. 10 Body, 11 Reflexes, 20Intelligence, 20 Technical Ability, 20 Cool. Netrunning ability good enough to do basics and hack but specializes in blitz assaults and quickhacks.
The patter of raindrops got slower as the cyberware in the body gave Valerie… V the speed and precision to shoot her gun at Reed's foot. The Doom Doom that she klepped from Dum Dum after she killed him in that All Foods Factory along with Royce was a good weapon. That Chaos pistol she also picked up was really quite fun to play with. The foot basically blew apart and Reed collapsed though getting to a doctor within a day would save him. Especially with Reed's ThreatEvac already slowing his bleeding. (A/N: I am taking a lot of liberties with lore.)
One advantage of the Relic despite it's killing her slowly was that the resulting nervous system disruption along with the data capacity provided by the biochip basically allowed her to adapt to and use a larger amount of cyberware nearly instantly after having it installed while also having no to few cyberpsychosis side effects. Where others could take anywhere from a month to a week to adjust after their new tools were installed she could be up and running in hours. Apparently when your nervous system is being rewritten the nerves either die or they get really good at processing changes to your body from implants. That Adrenal Trigger and Chrome Compressor she picked up in Dogtown were really an advantage. That along with other implants she had obtained (she was really becoming quite a collector of cyberware and weapons) had allowed her to adjust her "build" quite well over the course of the 3 months she had had access to Dogtown.
Just last week she had finished her surgeries and was now a very dangerous combatant. Best of all practically nobody realized how dangerous due to spreading out her surgeries over the course of 2 months and splitting her operations between Anderson, Viktor, Lucy, Darius, Farida, and that one time with Nina Kraviz. With 1 year since she had slotted in the Relic she had 2 years left of being one of the best warriors to ever grace Night City's streets before she started the slow 6 month decline into becoming an invalid and then dead after those remaining 2 years were up.
(A/N: Basically while the Relic is killing her, while V has the Relic she is capable of being equipped with cyberware faster than the average person which means she can turn into an absolute monster in a month where for others it would take 1 to 3 decades to become a tricked out borg solo since adjustments would take that long. I adjusted stuff here to say V has a 3 and a half year lifespan because it seemed realistic to take a year for V to obtain the funds and chrome to become a Night City legend. With Johnny's experience and recklessness bleeding into V's personality combined with her already impressive skills she eventually grows capable enough to take down Adam Smasher. Also I made this V a kleptomaniac and weapon and chrome collector. Didn't really have a better way to incorporate that.)
V walked up to Reed and took off her white jacket and then tied it around his right stump of a leg to cut off the bleeding. Half in shock Reed gritted out, "That wasn't…..Synaptic Accelerator? But … You've been holding out."
"Just lucky enough to not have to fight a worthy opponent while you were watching. Hansen was the only one who I needed to go all out on. His knife and gun will make a very good addition to my arsenal and gave me some tinkering ideas on homing devices." (A/N: Altered again. Hansen gets away from Alex (who survives) due to Song Mi going crazy right after retrieving the neural matrix. Hansen goes after Song Mi but V fights them off.)
"Uuugh. So now what. You know I'm not going to let Song Mi go. She could start a war."
"War already has started." V's eyes lit up. "Read this. You'll see that an outside power already knows about breaching Blackwall Protocol."
"What?! ….. RRgh this ticket. You're bluffing."
"Not a bluff. But sure say it is a bluff. Song Mi already has a deadman switch. She spent the time while we were riding over here setting up a data distribution that will send all the info on Blackwall hacks to every media, corpo, and public institution if she doesn't check in in a month. And I have … a friend who will make sure it gets to the right people."
"So what now?"
"It's really quite simple. You go back to the FIA. Song goes to the moon. And your President doesn't come after me."
"You know Myers won't back down from threats. She'll start a war before she backs down."
"Yeah and with Arasaka going through their internal conflicts there won't be anyone to stop her in Night City. But here's a carrot. Song Mi can be replaced as Blackwall access. But no one can provide the deniability that she can. Once she is on the moon Song Mi will technically no longer be NUSA. That means so long as she is let free and keeps her mouth shut no violating treaties for Blackwall access. She is the fall girl for her misdeeds."
"And why would she agree to that. Gahh."
V walked over to Reed's Pariah picked it up and pointed it at Reed. "Because so long as you are alive Song Mi has motivation to not go against the NUSA. She owes you."
"What are you…"
Songbird rasped "Soooorrrry…. Reeeeeed"
"Basically both Songbird and I live NUSA's Blackwall laundry doesn't get out. You remain alive a deniable asset to take the blame for breaching the Blackwall is there. And then Myers has another tool to complement Songbird's replacement. A Kevin Mulvaney. Military brat too loyal to NUSA to betray her. Plus with you being the point of contact you will rise in the FIA's ranks."
"How did you know….. No forget it I won't be bribed."
"The FIA's secret is already out. No benefit to Songbird's capture now. Now you care about your country so tell me. Which option benefits your country more. Cause we both know if you refuse we will kill you and then cause trouble."
"…Fine.. but only because coming after you won't help any."
"Excellent. Assuming Song Mi survives she will contact you from the Moon."
V started walking away with Song MI in her arms. In her mind, a rockerboy looked on in uncharacteristic worry.
"You sure you know what you're doing V?"
"A little setting the stage for the next acts of this story. Honestly Johnny you said Reed was like you. I'm gonna try turning him to my side."
The Next Day
Alex sat down in the middle of preparing to leave the bar and Night City behind.
V walked in.
"Well if it isn't V. How did you do it?"
"Don't know what you mean? Just here to say goodbye."
"FIA is pulling out but we are told to leave you be. You got some kind of immunity to NUSA attacks."
"Let's be honest. I can't talk about it."
"Ahh well. Reed is alive and from what I hear he has pretty much become the Section Chief for the American West. So we'll see."
