Dean's phone rang and he answered it. "Hello?"

Taylor was sitting on the ground where he had stopped. "I think something is wrong."

Dean stopped the car. "What is going on?"

Taylor groaned. "It is back."

Dean cursed under his breath. "Are your parents home?"

"No, my mom wont be home for a few hours." Taylor said.

Dean turned the car around. "Where are you? I'm going to pick you up."

Taylor gave him a street name and rested his head on his knees.

Dean booked it back the other way and found Taylor sitting on the sidewalk. He got out and walked around the car. "Are you doing okay?"

Taylor tried to stand up. "Yeah, I just got that pit in my stomach and can't breathe."

Dean called John. "Hey, dad, Taylor feels off. Is Craig okay with me taking Taylor with me?"

John spoke to someone in the background. "Go ahead. Let me know when you know something."

Dean hung up and held his hand out to help Taylor stand. "I'll put your bike in the trunk. It wont shut but we are just going around the block, right?"

Taylor nodded and got in Dean's car. "I really appreciate it."

Dean told him not to worry about it. He drove slowly to Taylor's house to drop off the bike. "Is there anything you need from inside?"

Taylor shrugged.

"Is this another Kate thing?" Dean asked.

Taylor rubbed his tense neck. "I don't know. Last time it was so strong and centered on her. This time it is the same feeling but not centered."

"You stay here, I'm going to do a quick sweep of your house." Dean said.

Taylor handed him the keys and rested his head on the back of the seat.

Dean put the bike in the garage and went inside. He did a check of the doors and windows. Nothing seemed amiss. He double checked the warding and salt lines. He was confident that no demon activity had occurred in the house.

Taylor was relieved to see him walk back out of the house. "My house is safe?"

Dean shut the car door. "I didn't see anything weird. How are you feeling?"

"Like when you go down the first drop of a rollercoaster but never come back up." Taylor said.

Dean had never been on a rollercoaster but got the analogy. "Just hold on and we will be at Bobby's before you know it." Dean called ahead to let Bobby know what was going on."

Kate felt her heart drop and teared up.

"Hey there, what is wrong?" Missouri asked.

"What if this is my fault? I hurt everyone." She said through tears.

Missouri tilted her chin. "This isn't your fault."

Kate wiped her eyes. "What if it is?"

"Then we will figure out how to fix it." Missouri said with a smile.

Kate sighed but calmed down.

Missouri gave her a wink. "You might want to change clothes."

Kate looked down at her sweaty, dirty clothes. "Thanks." She said and darted up the stairs.

Bobby smirked. "Don't encourage her."

Missouri raised a brow. "I'm not encouraging her. Young girls care about what young boys think and I just know she might want to clean up." She eyed Bobby. "She doesn't like him like that."

Bobby sat down across from her. "How do you know?"

Missouri scoffed. "I know everything, Bobby."

Bobby chuckled. "She likes him as a friend?"

Missouri nodded. "It is a bit more than that but she doesn't look at him the way Dean looks at any female with legs."

Sam heard the comment and laughed. "He has been going steady with Lacy for a while now."

Missouri winked. "I know about that too."

Dean turned the car off and checked on Taylor. "Better or worse?"

Taylor sighed. "Same."

"There is someone inside that I think can help." He opened Taylor's door and made sure he was good to walk.

Bobby greeted them and ushered Taylor inside.

Missouri smiled warmly. "You must be Taylor."

"Yes ma'am." Taylor answered and held his hand out for a handshake.

Missouri shook his hand and gave Dean an approving look over Taylor's head. "My name is Missouri. Can you tell me about what is going on?"

Taylor told her all he knew about the pit. He was getting tired and just wanted it to go away.

Missouri asked if she could put her hands on him and did a quick read. "That is peculiar."

Dean stepped forward. "What is it?"

Missouri chewed her lip. "I don't know yet. Let's get you something to drink and a place to sit."

Taylor followed her to the sofa and sat down. "Will it go away?"

Missouri smiled. "I'll make sure it does."

Kate ran down the stairs. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

Taylor smiled at her. "I've been better."

Kate sat down beside him and chatted.

Missouri returned to the room after making a few phone calls. "Okay dear, I have something I want to try."

Taylor nodded for her to go ahead.

Missouri placed a hand on his head and pulled the feeling into her body. She let go and hummed. "I think I may know what is causing this. Let me just grab a book real quick."

Taylor thanked her and turned back to Kate.

Bobby looked up as Missouri walked into his office. "Do you know what it is?"

Missouri requested a certain book and opened it. "Here. We will need to be sure but this does make sense."

Bobby read the page that Missouri had pointed out. "So does that make him psychic?"

Missouri shook her head. "No. Some psychics have this gift but the gift alone doesn't make one psychic." She took the book back to Taylor and showed it to him. "I think that you are a magnet of sorts. There isn't a name for this per say but I think that when there is a burst of psychic energy, you pick up on it."

Taylor furrowed his brows. "I feel it?"

Missouri patted his knee. "Exactly. You probably felt the surges from Kate and knew her well enough to decipher who the surges belonged to."

Taylor rubbed his face. "Why now?"

Kate frowned. "Because of me, right?"

Missouri sighed. "Being around so much energy may have brought a dormant ability to the surface but you didn't cause this."

Taylor was confused. "Where is this feeling coming from now?"

Missouri placed her hand on his. "I don't know. It isn't from me. I keep myself guarded. It is possible that something happened in town that you picked up on. It could be something small. I will look into that but can help the feeling go away for now."

Taylor relaxed. "That would be great."

Missouri left the two and went to search through her bag.

Dean sighed. "What does this mean?"

Missouri looked at him. "I don't know yet but if you are wondering if he is bad news, he isn't. That boy doesn't have an ill intentioned bone in his body."

Dean smiled. "That obvious?"

"I'd smack you upside the head if you weren't worried about her. You have to protect her but Taylor isn't a threat." Missouri said with a twinkle in her eye.

"What are you looking for?" Dean asked.

Missouri held up a charm. "This should reflect some of what he is feeling until we find out what it is, why he is feeling it and the extent of this ability." She walked back to the living room. "Put this around your neck."

Taylor took it and did as she said. He felt the majority of the pit fade away. He smiled. "Thank you, ma'am."

Missouri chuckled. "Missouri is fine sweetie."

Taylor gave her a sheepish smile. "Thank you, Missouri."

Missouri patted his hand and went to Bobby's office. "I didn't think I'd see the day with you having a house full of kids."

Bobby chuckled. "I didn't either. They are like stray dogs; once you feed them they keep coming back."

Missouri gave him a warm smile. She could feel the pride he felt.

Dean walked into the office after hanging up the phone. "Taylor's dad wants him to wait until his mom is home to head back home." He had checked the house but Taylor was in an uncertain state. "Do you think he'd be okay going outside before it gets dark?"

Missouri nodded. "As long as he feels up to it."

Dean turned and told Taylor and Kate to put their shoes on.

"What are we doing?" Kate asked.

Dean smirked at her. "You are grounded from the TV and too much time in your own head never ends well."

Kate rolled her eyes.

Taylor hid his smile and got his shoes.

Dean took them out to the shop. He found an old baseball and tossed it to Taylor?

"I didn't bring my glove." Taylor said.

"Then don't throw hard enough to need a glove." Dean said and nodded toward Kate.

Taylor tossed it to her.

Kate caught it. "We are throwing a ball around."

Dean leaned back against a hunk of metal that used to be a car. "Yep and we are going to talk. Who ever has the ball is doing the talking."

Kate cringed and threw it to him, far away from her.

Dean laughed and caught it. "I'll play along too. Get stuff off your chest or answer questions. If you ask me a question I'll do my best to answer it." He tossed the ball in the air. "Taylor, has that feeling gone away?" He asked and tossed it to Taylor.

Taylor caught it. "Mostly. It is still there a little but it is okay. Hmm, is whatever I say going to stay here?"

Dean nodded. "Unless it is something others need to know."

Taylor sighed. "I'm glad my dad is getting help." He tossed the ball to Kate.

Kate caught it. "Is he nicer now?" She threw it back to Taylor.

Taylor smiled. "Yes. He is gone some but hasn't lost his temper like he did before. Will you teach me how to throw knives?"

Dean caught the ball. "Sure. I'll double check with your dad. Kate, are all of your abilities gone with that bracelet?"

Kate reluctantly caught the ball. "I think so but I can't say for sure. Why do you like hanging out with Ellie's brother? He is annoying."

Taylor grinned. "He is only annoying to you because you are a girl. Have you ever compelled me?"

Kate frowned. "I think so. When I told a few people to forget something."

Taylor tilted his head. "I thought you were just saying that like a normal person."

Dean watched them toss the ball back and forth.

"So I didn't compel you?" Kate asked.

"I don't think so. If you say to leave you alone or stop talking about something I do because I respect you as a person." Taylor answered.

Kate rolled the ball in her hands. She tossed the ball to Dean. "That is weird right?"

Dean nodded. "We can ask Missouri about it. "Have you compelled any of us, other than the times we know about?"

Kate blushed and caught the ball. "Not that I know of." She felt the heat rising in her face and wanted to steer the conversation away from herself. "Do you want Sam to go to college?"

Dean caught the ball and froze. He rubbed his neck. "He is my brother. Of course I don't want him to go. I want him here where I can keep him safe. I want him on the road with me. It doesn't matter what I want though. He is an adult and maybe I'm a little envious that he is getting the apple pie life he always wanted. Do you want him to go?"

Kate clasped her hands around the ball. "I feel the same way. I love him so much and will miss him."

Sam sat on the porch when he heard his name enter the conversation. He didn't want to interject and let Dean know he had heard that raw side of him. He smiled to himself and went back in the house.

Kate tossed the ball to Taylor. "Your turn."

Taylor tried to think of something to say. "Do you think my dad will be a hunter?"

Dean gave him a sad look. "I think so. He may not be like my own dad but I think he has been a hunter his whole life. He is just hunting monsters instead of being deployed."

Kate could see Taylor struggling with his emotions. She held her hand out for the ball. She smiled at Dean. "Have you and Lacy ever made out in the car?"

Dean scoffed. "Yes."

Kate and Taylor both grinned.

Dean didn't toss the ball. "What ever you ask me, I'm going to answer and I'm not going to be the one responsible for your therapy bills." He threw the ball back to Kate.

Kate giggled. "Ew. No thanks."

They tossed the ball around for a little while longer until all three felt at ease.

"We should call this the ball of truth." Kate said and tossed the ball from hand to hand.

Dean smirked and grabbed a pen from the shop. He wrote 'ball of truth' in sloppy writing and tossed it to Kate.

Kate smiled and tossed it to Taylor.

Taylor got a call from his mom letting him know she was on her way home.

They walked back inside to grab Taylor's bag.

Taylor ran up to use the restroom and Dean stopped Kate. "Speaking of ball of truth, I wanted to give you these." He said and gave her two cards.

"What are these?" Kate asked.

"You can thank Sam for the idea, but one card is for when you are afraid of how one of us will react. Let's say you do something like lie, but you realize you messed up and need to come clean. This card will let us know to hear you out before reacting. It may not get you out of trouble but it will give you a chance to feel like you are being heard. It is best to get into the habit of that without a card but just incase I seem angry and you are scared, this is your out." He explained.

Kate looked at the simple card. "What is this other one?"

Dean sighed. "That one is if you mess up badly. It only works if you understand that you messed up and come to one of us before things blow up. This would be like when you burned your arm and hid it. If you had this card you could have used it after you took the first pill instead of continuing to hide it. The trick is that you only get one use out of it. You can't go breaking rules and expect to get out of trouble with this. Save it for when you really need it."

Kate soaked in what he was saying. "So the first one pauses things?"

Dean nodded.

"What if I lose them or something happens and I am not near them?" Kate asked.

Dean smiled. "You can say yellow card or red card. We have talked about it already and will know what you mean. I know Bobby and I can seem scary but we have your best interests in mind. I don't want you to continue to hide things and I think this may help you feel more confident."

Kate hugged him. "Thank you."

Dean hugged her back. "If you abuse the power, they get taken away."

Kate nodded. "I understand." She went to find Sam to thank him.

Taylor met Dean at the door and grabbed his bag. He liked Bobby's house. It was more fun than his. When his mom got home from work she was tired and went to bed.

Dean offered to get him a milkshake on the way back to the house.

Taylor gleefully accepted the offer.

Kate found Sam and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you for the card idea."

Sam smiled and reached his hand back to pat her. "I could have used something like that when I was a kid."

"You are the best." Kate said and squeezed him.

He wouldn't be around to act as a buffer and the cards were his lame attempt at giving her some slack. "Thanks, kid."

Taylor looked out the window as Dean drove. "Thanks for picking me up and stuff."

Dean looked at him. "It is no problem. You helped me out."

Taylor chewed his cheek. "None of my brothers care, not even the one who lives here. They'd have let me die out there."

Dean frowned. "Some times friends are better than family."

Taylor nodded.

"Besides, I can't let you die now. She can't compel you. You are our secret weapon." Dean said lightly.

Taylor smiled. "She is my friend."

Dean chuckled. "She is wild."

Taylor shrugged. "A little maybe but she is fun."

Dean asked what flavor shake he wanted and ordered it. "I am not honestly asking you to work against her but if that Kate pit comes back, let me know. She has some strong powers and cannot always control them."

"Am I like a radiation detector?" Taylor asked.

Dean scrunched his face. "You know what, that may be a good way to look at it."

Taylor grinned. "That means Kate is a nuke?"

Dean laughed. "Set to go off at any minute."

They got their shakes and headed to Taylor's house.

Dean made sure the house was still safe and said goodbye. He thought that Taylor's gift was one that he would like to have.

With Kate upstairs with Sam and Taylor gone with Dean, Bobby and Missouri stepped down to the basement. Missouri had gathered a few things and took one of the items from Kate's box.

Bobby helped her set up what she needed for a séance. He sent a message to Sam letting him know to keep Kat with him.

Missouri settled into the familiar ritual and took deep, soothing breaths. She chanted in a silken voice and closed her eyes.

Bobby's eyes darted around the room, unsure of what was going to happen. He startled when Missouri turned toward the side.

Missouri smiled warmly. "Well, you must be Ada."
