"Momma?" a young girl asked. She couldn't see very far in front of her and the dust tickled her throat, making her croak as she tried to speak. Her ears were ringing and she was acutely aware that she was bleeding. She crawled across the floor and felt pain in her hands as she touched broken glass and rubble. "Momma!"

Kate woke up and muffled a scream. She scrambled out of her bed and immediately started to write down details of the vision. She sketched the little girl's face and a general location.

Dean heard Kate open his door and looked at the clock. "Kate?"

Kate jumped on his bed. "Get dressed. You need to go here."

Dean rubbed his eyes. "Kate, it is two o clock in the morning."

Kate bounced the bed with her feet. "You have time. Get up."

Dean could hear the urgency in her voice. He got up and turned the light on. They had been at the bunker for three days and he was exhausted. He pulled a shirt from his duffle and slipped it over his head. "Tell me what is going on."

"I had a vision. You need to go to this house. There is going to be a house fire but something is going to explode. There is a little girl, her mom and baby brother." Kate said.

Dean rubbed his face. "Are you sure?"

Kate threw jeans at him and turned her back. "Yes! The vision was very clear. Please go."

Dean was still half asleep. "Get Taylor."

"Dean, we can't go. We can't use our abilities." Kate said.

Dean grumbled. "Right."

Kate ran to the kitchen to make coffee. She grabbed a breakfast burrito and warmed it while she waited for the coffee.

Dean stumbled to the bathroom and washed his face. He slapped the side of his face in an effort to wake up.

"I'm going to put the coffee and food in your car. I've marked the area on the map. Call me when you get close and I'll walk you to the house." Kate said.

Dean ruffled her hair and went to the car. He opened the garage doors and told her to shut them once he drove the car out. As he cleared the bunker and bit into his borrito his brain started to wake up. He had no idea what he was walking into.

Kate waited nervously for a half hour before she heard her phone ring. "Dean!"

"I see a town square." Dean said.

Kate asked for details on signs and stores. "Turn left on Hayford."

Dean followed her directions. "Gray house?"

"Yes. Hurry." Kate said.

Dean knocked on the door but no one answered. He walked around the side of the house and started to smell smoke. "Kate, I'm putting the phone in my pocket." He ran back around and kicked in the front door. He ran up the stairs and started opening doors.

A woman jumped out of her bed and screamed.

"Ma'am, your house is on fire." Dean said as calmly as he could.

The woman was startled and in her nightdress.

Dean looked around and saw her robe and threw it. The smokey smell got stronger and he heard crackling from downstairs. "Where are the kids?"

The woman was in a daze but pointed to the other rooms.

Dean took off and found a baby in a crib. He lifted the infant and wrapped him in a blanket. He ran into the woman as she ran into the hallway. "Take him. Where is your daughter?"

She lost her balance as the smoke filled the upstairs.

"Get out!" Dean yelled and ran to the other room. An explosion rocked the house. He hit the floor and crawled toward the door. He opened it and heard a small voice calling out for her mom.

"Mama?... Momma!"

Dean found the small girl and pulled her out of the room. He gathered her in his arms and ran out the door as a second explosion took out the back of the house.

The girl was crying and couldn't hear anything.

The woman took the girl from Dean as he joined her outside. "What?"

"What is exploding?" Dean asked.

The woman was in shock.

Dean took his jacket off and felt his phone in his pocket. "Hey, Kate."

Kate was in tears. "Dean?"

"They are safe. I got them out." Dean said.

Kate slid down the wall and sat on the floor. "Thank you."

"I have to let you go. Okay?"

Kate wiped her face. "Okay."

Dean put his phone back in his pocket. He heard the sirens and fought the urge to run.

Paramedics checked each family member and Dean, although he swore he was fine.

The little girl had cuts from glass and needed to be checked for smoke inhalation but was going to be okay.

Dean gave them a fake name and was able to slip away in the commotion. He was on an adrenaline high. "Kate, hey. I'm back in the car and headed back."

Kate squeaked. "Everything is okay?"

"Yeah, kiddo. Everything is okay. That was quite the vision." Dean said.

Kate poured a small cup of coffee and scrunched her nose at the taste. "Thank you for taking me seriously."

Dean chuckled. "Did you compel me?"

Kate gasped. "No!"

"I know. I was out of it at first but you were right. I don't know what started the fire or what exploded but the girl had the worst injuries. She had some glass in her hands and knees. She will probably hang out at the hospital for a few hours and be good as new." Dean said.

Taylor was up by the time Dean got back. He had heard Kate and helped her with the door.

Dean smelled of smoke. He rolled down all the windows in the impala and parked.

Kate jumped and wrapped her arms and legs around him.

Dean rubbed her back. "Why does your breath smell like coffee?"

Kate rested her head on his shoulder. "Hmm?"

Dean patted her back. "I need to wash the smoke off of me."

Kate let go of him. She smelled her own t-shirt and sighed. "I need to change too."

Taylor stretched. "What exactly happened?"

"I had a vision and sent Dean to save some people." Kate said.

Dean nodded. "That sums it up."

Taylor stayed behind to wipe down the interior of the car to help with the smoke. The job wasn't required but it gave him some time to appreciate the craftsman ship. He started to wonder if he could control smoke like he could grace and dirt. He knew that Dean would protest the use of smoke because it required a fire but steam might work. He walked into the bathroom and rested against the sink.

Dean heard Taylor walk in.

"Can I try something out with the steam?" Taylor asked.

Dean was in the stall beside the wall. "What are you thinking about?"

"I want to see if I can control the air or steam. I can do it with dirt and grace. I didn't think you'd want me lighting a match to try it out." Taylor said.

"Uh, sure." Dean said.

Taylor turned on one of the other showers to create more steam. He used the same technique he had before and held his hands in front of him. He saw small swirls in the steam and refocused. "Whoa."

Dean asked what was happening.

Taylor got closer to the stall and held his hands higher. He was getting the hang of it.

Dean looked up as a spiral of steam formed at the edge of the door. "Are you doing that?"

Taylor grinned. "Yeah." He gathered more steam and bit the side of his cheek.

Dean threw something over the door. "Knock it off. Steam or not, I'm trying to shower in peace."

Taylor laughed and shrugged. "I'm going to show Kate."

Dean yelled, "Do not bring her in here!" as he heard the door shut.

Taylor found Kate. "I learned a new trick."

Kate ran back with him.

"Taylor, if you bring her in here, I'm skinning both of you. Let me take a damn shower." Dean said.

Taylor pushed Kate out the door.

Kate let him turn on one of the showers in the girl's bathroom and watched as he controlled the steam. "So you can control the molecules?"

Taylor shrugged. "I don't know."

Dean got out of the shower and dried off. He put on clean clothes and poured some more coffee. He walked back to Kate's bathroom and opened the door. "Show me."

Taylor held a ball of steam in his hands and manipulated it.

Dean sipped his coffee. "Not sure what you could do with that but that is cool."

Kate tried to do it too but couldn't. "These abilities are confusing." She yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"You should go back to bed." Dean said.

Kate frowned. "It is still morning. It isn't like we are doing anything anyway."

Dean could see the circles under her eyes. "You two can go to the gym and do your run and workout. Then, you can take a nap."

Kate gave him a sad look.

"I'm going to call Missouri to see if she can stop by." Dean said.

Kate grinned. "Yay. I'll nap if she is supposed to come later."

Dean flicked the back of her head. "You'll nap either way. Grumpy Kate is a bear."

"Everyone can get a little bit of sleep."

Taylor wasn't tired but figured he'd be feeling it later. "Could we just go to Missouri's house?"

Dean shook his head. "Cas said we need to lay low."

Kate squeaked. "Cas? You gave him a nickname!"

Dean cringed. "No, I just.. shut up."

Kate bounced on her toes. "I love it. I was thinking the same."

Dean opened the door. "He is an angel. He could still be dangerous. He isn't a pet."

Kate shrugged. "You have a reputation and I still hang out with you."

"I do not have a reputation. Dad has a reputation." Dean said.

"You'd be surprised." Kate said.

Dean sighed. "Jo?"

"She's an endless source of gossip for hunters. John does have a reputation. If I can manage him, surely I can manage an angel."

Dean smiled. "Just ere on the side of caution."

Bobby was going slightly stir crazy with the silence in the house. He had waited to get the week's homework for the kids and had the stack sitting on his desk. He couldn't abandon the salvage yard during the week so he stayed and tried to keep himself busy. He was in the shop when he heard something moving around the salvage yard. He pulled his gun out and quietly made his way toward the noise. "Put your hands up."

Two boys stopped at the front door of Bobby's house and put their hands above their heads.

"Turn around and take a seat." Bobby ordered.

The boys sat down in the chairs that Bobby pointed to.

Bobby recognized David and wondered why he would be trying to break into the house. "David."

David's eyes got wide. "No."

"I know who you are. Why are you trying to get into my house in the middle of a school day?" Bobby asked, not lowering the gun.

David's friend looked faint.

"You can talk here or talk to the cops when they get here. Your choice." Bobby said.

"I just want to talk to my brother." David said.

"Try again."

"Look, just let us go. I was just messing with him." David said.

Bobby lowered the gun and shook his head. "You don't break into somebody's house to mess with them. You have messed with him enough and it is going to stop."

David glared at Bobby. "He is my brother."

"You don't treat him like a brother. He told us what you did." Bobby knew that Taylor had only told John but David didn't need to know that. "You are almost an adult. With enough charges, I'm sure they'd just skip juvie and throw you in with the others."

With a couple of minutes of grilling and well placed threats, David folded. "I hate him."

Bobby nodded. "Then why not leave him alone and forget about him?"

"He has to pay."

"Pay for what?" Bobby asked.

"He killed both of my parents."

"Bullshit and you know it." Bobby shot back. "Your dad killed your mom and rigged her body so that whoever found her would go up in the explosion. Taylor wasn't around but even if he was, he was not strong enough to move her body and rig the room the way that it was. You've had a stick up your ass for a long time and moved out of the house years ago. Give me the weapon you have in your pocket."

David stood up. "Screw you."

Bobby held his hand out. "When I call the cops, they can pick you up for trespassing and harassment or they can add on attempted burglary and possession of an illegal firearm."

David stepped back. "I don't have anything on me."

Bobby disarmed him in the blink of an eye. He unloaded the gun and put the bullets in his pocket. "Get some help before you wind up in prison for life over something stupid." He called the police department and leaned against the railing and watched the two teenagers.

Officer Mills showed up with her partner and arrested the boys. "What were they doing here?"

Bobby frowned. "He is still angry at Taylor. God knows why. He needs to spend some time with a therapist. The kids are not going to be around for a few days but this has been a problem."

Jody wrote down some information and assured Bobby they'd look into David's issues. "How is Taylor?"

Bobby sighed. "He's good. He has settled in and seems to be doing just fine."

"Good. Just let me know if there is anything I can do. There haven't been a lot of leads on the investigation." Jody said and touched Bobby's arm.

Bobby let Dean know about David's attempted break-in and asked how the kids were doing.

"Maybe he will spend a few nights in juvie and get his head on straight. The kids are good. Kate had a vision about someone's house catching fire and woke me up to go rescue them. I got there and got them out just in time." Dean said.

"Good on you, son. Tell Kate I said she did a good job. They seem to be cycling through abilities faster now."

Dean told him everything Castiel had told them and asked when Bobby would be stopping by. "I'm not sure how long I can stay down here."

"Missouri probably wouldn't mind staying with them so you can get out for a little while." Bobby offered.

"Right. I'll call her. I have the kids doing their morning run and work out before going back to bed" Dean said.

"Alright. Call me if you need anything.'

Dean put the phone down and picked up his cup of coffee. He slumped into the chair and let the steam travel across his face.

Kate ran laps around the small gym before dropping onto her back to do sit ups. She was tired but the physical demands of exercise didn't bother as much anymore. "I wonder if we won't need to do this and will just stay strong eventually."

"I think it is more about routine." Taylor said. He found a bar and pulled himself up so that his hips were touching the bar. "What else are we going to do?"

Kate frowned. "Maybe we could get a tv or something."

"Wouldn't hurt to ask. I don't know how the electricity or cable works here. Since it is so old, it probably doesn't have anything like that."

Kate fell back on the floor. "I miss Sam."

"He is really nice." Taylor said. He hadn't gotten to know Sam as well as Dean but he knew Kate was equally attached to Sam. "We could call him."

Sam was getting ready for his first class when his phone chimed. "Hey, bug."

Kate smiled. "Hi Sammy. I miss you."

"I'll come visit when I get a break. What's up?"

"We have to stay in the bunker for a little bit. I'm bored and just wish you were here." Kate said.

"I can call this afternoon and talk as long as you want. I found a few books that you may be interested in. If Brady is gone, I'll read a little to see if any of it is what you are looking for. How is Dean?"

"He saved some people this morning!" Kate said. She told him about her vision and making Dean go out.

"That is amazing, bug. I'm so glad you two were able to do that." Sam said with a smile.

"Tell me about Jess." Kate said.

"Oh. She is pretty. She is really nice and interesting."

Kate grinned as Sam trailed off on a tangent about how wonderful she was. "So you are dating?"

Sam paused. "I don't know."

Kate scoffed. "You are a Winchester. Don't be wishy washy."

"I'm Sam, not Dean." Sam said with a chuckle.

"A gentleman."

Dean walked into the gym. "Missouri will head this way in a little bit. Wrap it up and hit the hay."

Kate held up the phone. "Sam says hi."

Dean yelled "Hi, Sam." as he walked out.

"If you prank him, let me know." Sam said.

Kate grinned. "Share ideas if you have them."

Dean warmed another burrito and put it on a plate. He wondered about the family he saved but couldn't speak to them directly. He had been on autopilot for days and he was starting to realize the stay in the bunker could be more than a few days.

Kate grabbed Millie and climbed under her blankets. She was sleepy from the fitful sleep and there wasn't much else to do. Millie purred and curled up under Kate's chin. Kate was glad they got to bring the kittens. She closed her eyes and fell asleep right away.

Taylor stopped in the kitchen in search of food. "Is there anything I can do today?"

Dean shrugged. "Not that I know of. We are just waiting to see if it is safe to go back to Sioux Falls. Sit down. I need to talk to you."

Taylor sat down. "Did I do something?"

"No. David went to Bobby's house this morning and tried to get into the house. He's in police custody right now." Dean said.

Taylor felt his temper flare.

"Stop that. Keep your anger in check. Bobby gave him a talking to and called the cops."

"Why would he try to break in?"

"I don't know. He said it was to mess with you. Either way, you are here and he is in a cell." Dean said.

"Why won't he just leave me alone? I don't understand." Taylor said with a sigh.

"He is hurting and messed up in his own way. He thinks you are an easy target. That doesn't excuse it but please, let it go. We will take care of it." Dean said.

Taylor got up to get his food. "I learned my lesson on fighting with him."

Dean grinned. "Hopefully that lesson sticks."

"I'm done with fighting him. Never again. Actually, fighting, in general, has had poor outcomes so far." Taylor said.

"You will learn faster than Sam and I did. We both have scars from each other."

"Punching your brother for being a jerk is a little different from punching a girl." Taylor countered.

"If you get in the punching mood let me know. I'd be more than happy to kick your butt." Dean said.

Taylor smiled. "That was a little cocky."

Dean winked. "I'm undefeated. Go sleep and I'll spar with you later."

Taylor quickly ate his food and put his plate in the sink before running off to his room.

Dean wasn't overly tired but needed the mental rest. He put his feet in one of the chairs and leaned his head back. The place needed a couch or two.

### ###

Missouri was happy to visit the kids. She was attached to the Winchester crew and could tell Dean needed a moment. She was worried about who was after them and needed to make sure they knew how to use the abilities they had gotten. They were easily the most powerful people she had ever met and it scared her a little. She could see the power radiating from them and that meant that other psychics would be able to as well. She had been looking into ways to dampen the power like she had done for Kate so long ago. They'd need a fail-safe but they would also need a way to blend in.

John was in Utah working on a case when Dean called him about heading to the bunker. He was still there days later. He knew that Dean could handle the kids and being in the bunker but he was not comfortable with the idea that someone was looking for them. He had spent 18 years looking for the demon that ruined their lives and now he was facing the possibility of angels. He was sitting in a small diner waiting on another hunter to show up. The day would be just like every other if it wasn't for the overwhelming feeling that the ground was about to be swept from under him.

Harris, the hunter John was waiting on, showed up. "Hey, Winchester."

John stood up and shook his hand. "Thanks for coming."

"No problem," Harris ordered something to eat and sat down. "Show me what we are working on."

John detailed the hunt and showed Harris where people had been showing up dead. "It is a two-person job or I'd have just done it myself."

Kate woke up in a dream and decided to walk around. She found Sam in his happy place by the pond and sat beside him. He didn't speak as he wasn't in the vision with her. She just rested her head on his shoulder and watched the breeze create ripples on the water's surface. "I'm happy for you but sad for me." She felt warmth on her chest and realized Millie was still laying on her in the real world. "Please come home after college." She felt a pull to another place and kissed Sam's cheek before leaving him. She let the vision pull her to a rundown building. She went inside and looked around. She didn't recognize anyone but the smell of wood smoke and whiskey was unmistakable. She ran outside and saw John's truck pull away. "John?"

She was pulled to another building and watch as John walked in with another man. She felt fear rise in her chest. "John!" she saw the marred face and black smoke drifting around the other man. She ran into the building and woke up just as the smoke surrounded John and knocked him to the ground.

Kate grabbed her phone and called John. There was no answer. She called him again and got no answer. She rubbed her hands together to calm them. 'I can push into his head.' She closed her eyes and focused on John. She pushed an idea into his head and waited.

John felt his head ache and got a flash of something as he left the diner. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. His phone had no signal.

Kate used morse code to alert John that something was wrong. She spelled 'demon' and planted the image of Harris's face in John's head.

John heard Kate's warning loud and clear. He just had no way to let her know. Harris followed him to the first stop and John discretely checked him for possession. They finished casing the area and went to the second place. John felt pressure in his head again and waited for Harris to step out of his car before splashing him with holy water.

Harris screamed in pain and hit the ground.

John tied him and got him somewhat contained. He started the exorcism but two more guys showed up. He was pulled into the building and disarmed.

Kate could feel John's fear and that scared her. "Cas? Castiel, please help John. He knows what we are and demons have him."

John was face to face with a set of black eyes when he heard a whoosh and screams. He scrambled to grab his gun and was startled by a bright red light. He blinked rapidly and aimed his weapon at a man in a long coat.

Castiel held his hand out to prevent John from shooting. "I'd prefer you didn't shoot me."

John felt the gun get hot and dropped it. "What the?"

"Kate sent me." Castiel said and dispatched the last demon.

John was dumbfounded. "She sent you?"

"Yes." Castiel said before vanishing.

John heard his phone ring and answered it.

"John?"

He looked around at the bodies littering the floor. "Kate?"

"John! You're okay!" Kate said.

"What was that?"

"An angel. He showed up right?" Kate asked.

John rubbed his face. He had been plotting how he was going to escape and quickly realizing he was way outnumbered when a gust of wind blew through and demons dropped like flies. "Man in a trenchcoat?"

Kate grinned. "Yes! 'Thanks Cas!' I wasn't sure if he would help."

John got back into his truck and drove away from the building. "How did you know Harris was possessed before he even got possessed?"

"Oh, a vision. I was dream walking and saw it. We need a short hand because spelling things in morse code is kind of annoying."

"You were dream walking?"

Kate paused. "We can use abilities because we are hidden here. Right?"

John chuckled. "I'm not mad. Lose the puppy eyes."

"You can't even see my face." Kate whined.

"I can hear it."

Kate rolled her eyes. "I had a vision earlier too and sent Dean to save a family. It is really cool."

"Thank you for watching my back. I don't even know how many demons were in that place." John said.

"Seven."

"Harris." John remembered the hunter. He walked outside and exorcised the demon. "Hey, Harris, you with me?"

Harris pulled at his binds. "What happened?"

"You were a meat suit there for a bit." John said.

Harris had a headache and could feel bruises forming from the scuffle.

Kate cleared her throat.

John put the phone back to his ear. "I will call you back."

Kate sighed and rested her head on her pillow. "Millie, why do guys just hang up or vanish?"

Millie stretched and yawned.

Kate thought about Hannah and how she had let Aphrim use her as a suit. Hannah was brave and Kate missed her. She sent Hannah a quick message. She was probably in school already but Mandy could give her the message after school.

John took Harris to his motel room and gave him something for the headache. "Are you still good to hunt?"

Harris nodded. "Give me 15 minutes to regroup."

Missouri arrived at the bunker with information and a gift for the kittens.

"What is this?" Dean asked as he took the box out of the trunk.

Missouri clicked her tongue. "Don't worry about it."

Dean flipped the box over. "You bought them a cat tree?"

Missouri walked by him. "Would you want them climbing the walls here or digging their claws into something?"

Dean paused. "No."

Kate squealed and hugged Missouri. "Thank you!"

"You are welcome, honey. Dean can drop that off somewhere and you can put it together."

Kate followed Dean to her room. "Can we move it around?

"It should fit through the door." Missouri said.

"They don't need to be anywhere else." Dean said.

Kate put her hands on her hips. "They are part of the family, Dean."

Dean ruffled her hair. "Brat."

Kate opened the box and instantly had kittens in her lap. "Hold on guys, I'll hurry."

Taylor let Missouri hug him. "How's the world out there?"

"Still spinning. I brought you some stuff too." Missouri said.

Taylor perked up.

Missouri went back to her car and pointed to a bag. "Bobby said you like working with your hands. He thought you might take to whittling."

Taylor smiled. "Awesome. Thank you. I've done a little bit but these tools look great. I really appreciate it."

Dean raised an eyebrow. "Did you bring me anything?" he asked jokingly.

Missouri scoffed. "You get to go out in a little while. Is that enough?"

Dean grinned. "Yes, ma'am."

"We don't need a babysitter." Kate said as she entered the room.

"No, you need a warden." Dean said.

Missouri smacked his arm. "He means you two must be bored out of your minds and need someone who can hold a conversation that isn't quips and movie quotes."

Kate giggled.

Dean acted hurt.

Kate patted his back. "I need your tallness."

Dean rolled his eyes. "You need, you need, you need." he followed her to her room.

"I need you to hold that part and twist."

"You got this put together fast." Dean said.

Kate shrugged. "It isn't all done. I just need help with those two pieces. Oh, I spoke to John."

Dean held one of the poles. "You did?"

"Yeah, I had a vision that he walked into a building and his buddy was a demon. I got ahold of him and then Castiel burned up all the demons." Kate said.

Dean let the pole lower. "You are just now mentioning that?"

"I was distracted by gifts." Kate said.

"You are on a roll with saving people." Dean said.

"I'm wracking up brownie points. Now, hold that still or I'll ask Taylor for help."

Taylor showed Missouri some of the stuff that he had learned to do.

"If you can move steam like that, can you move a disembodied demon?" Missouri asked.

Taylor tilted his head. "I don't know. I don't think I'd convince them to let me test that out."

Missouri smiled. "No, I guess not. Try holding this in the air." She said and held out a coffee cup.

Taylor tried to focus on the cup but it shattered.

Missouri jumped. "No worries, sweetie. You are incredibly strong and just need to work on that control." She found a broom for the broken cup. "How are you doing?"

Taylor shrugged. "I'm okay."

Missouri shook her head and pointed to an empty chair. "No, you are not. You sit yourself down right there and talk to me."

Taylor blushed.

"I can see the anger rolling off of you." Missouri said.

Taylor hung his head. "I'm trying to control it."

"Now you can talk about it. I have all night."

Taylor leaned back. "My brother hates me. He always has and just won't leave me alone."

"Dean told me what happened."

Taylor winced. "Yeah. That wasn't my best idea." He took a deep breath and slowly let it out. "David or demon David said all these things. Some are true. Some aren't. Some I don't know about. He kept saying I was messed up. He said my mom tried to kill me as a baby and I didn't die. I didn't get abilities until I met Kate."

"It sounds like he says a lot that he doesn't know a lot about. I'm sorry about your family. You deserved better than that." Missouri said and put a gentle hand on the side of his face.

"I'd say I met a pretty cool family from it though."

Missouri smiled. "You did."

"David tried to break into Bobby's house so the wound is a little raw today. I just don't understand how you could hate someone so much. I mean, I hated Craig but David truly despises me. It hurts."

"I know it does. He is probably jealous of you. It is easier to hate someone than admit you suck as a human."

Taylor smiled. "He does suck as a human. My other brothers forgot about me too."

"You were born into the wrong family. That is all." Missouri soothed.

"I wish I had gotten to meet my real dad." Taylor said.

"Well, honey. I can tell you what I know about him. I met him a few times and would be happy to share." Missouri said.

Taylor nodded and rested his elbows on the table.

Kate felt a tingle from her toes that spread to her fingers. She shook it off and kept working on the cat tree. She had to pull the kittens off as she worked on the base. She looked up at Dean. "I feel funny."

"What do you mean?"

Kate shook her hands. "I feel like my arms and legs are falling asleep."

Dean took her hand. "Is it a magical feeling or a pinched nerve feeling?"

Kate scratched her neck. "I don't know!"

Dean turned to move stuff off of her bed but when he turned back to her, she was gone. "Kate?"

Taylor heard Dean yell and ran to Kate's room. "What's wrong?"

Dean was spinning around. "She just vanished."

Missouri yelped as Castiel appeared, holding Kate. "Dean!"

Dean ran to the library. "What happened to her?"

Castiel put her down on top of the table. "Get the grace."

Taylor sprinted to find the jars.

Kate started to fade but Castiel pulled her back.

"What is going on!" Dean yelled.

"The problem with teleporting is, if you don't control it, you don't always survive it." Castiel said.

Dean's mouth dropped open. "Fix her!"

Castiel held his hand out as Taylor ran into the library. He shattered the jar in his hand and let the swirling grace fall onto Kate.

Kate gasped and shot off the table. Her eyes glowed so brightly that Dean and Missouri had to shield their eyes. She felt her whole body tingle and cried out.

Castiel touched her and calmed her body down. "It is time."

"Time for what?" Dean demanded.

Castiel glanced at him. He touched Dean and Missouri on the arm and vanished.

Dean stumbled as his feet hit uneven ground. "Where are we?" Where are the kids!"

Castiel touched his forehead. "You are safe. You were warned that she would be getting her full abilities soon. It is time. She has to accept Isaiah's grace. Taylor as well."

"I need to be there for them." Dean said.

"No, when they take it on, the energy burst will disintegrate every living organism within miles." Castiel said as he stepped away.

"Wait!" Dean yelled. "The kittens. They will be crushed if they hurt them."

Castiel vanished for a few seconds before returning with both cats.

Dean held them in his arms and looked at Missouri.

"What was that?"

"Then angel." Dean said.

Missouri blinked. "Oh."

Dean stared into the distance. He was in shock and trying not to let his mind wander to the dark thoughts. He felt Millie trying to wiggle down from his arms. He shifted her so she was more comfortable. "I can't let you down. They need you."

Missouri held her hands out for Millie.

Dean felt the ground start to shake and his heartbeat quickened.

Missouri put a hand on his back. She didn't know what to do or say.

Dean looked up as a streak ran across the sky and turned his head as a light burst and spread out in a massive circle. He felt weak in the knees. 'Disinigrate every living organism.' He felt bile in his throat. "They'll be okay."
