"No, you didn't just try to compel me?" Dean asked in a low tone.
April ran into the library. "Andrew."
"Mom." Andy squeaked and ran to her.
April looked frightened and confused.
"He was in here with a book of spells that is so bad that Kate and Taylor can pick up the evil coming off of it. Then he tried to compel me twice and claims you told him it was okay for him to come in here." Dean said.
April knelt to Andy's level. "I did not tell you to come in here. I specifically told you not to."
John tapped Kate and motioned to leave.
Kate followed him. "He shouldn't be able to compel her. She's drinking vervain."
John didn't respond but kept walking. He trusted Dean to figure all of that out.
"You did." Andy said.
April's head started to hurt, causing her to blink.
Dean grabbed Andy's arm and pulled him over to a chair. He sat down and put him over his knee. He landed six hard swats and paused.
Andy shrieked and tried to protect his bottom. "No!"
April blinked rapidly, caught off guard by the change of events.
"You do not compel your mother. It is painful and causes people to be confused. You knew this area was off-limits and chose to come in here anyway. Why?"
Andy desperately wanted to avoid more swats. "I want to learn."
"You aren't going to if nobody can trust you to follow the most basic order." Dean swatted him again. He looked up at April to make sure she wasn't about to club him over the head with a bat.
April was fighting emotions but figured Andy earned that.
"You are going to be respectful to your mom and stop compelling her. You are not going to lie to her or anybody else and you best stay where you are supposed to stay." He swatted each thigh twice and stood him up. "Understand?"
Andy's hands flew back to rub at the sting. He nodded quickly and sniffled.
"Go apologize to your mom." Dean said.
Andy ran to April and hugged her. "I'm really sorry, mama."
April rubbed his back. "I forgive you."
Dean sighed and rested his elbows on his knees.
April nudged Andy and wiped his tears.
Andy walked back to Dean and looked at his feet. "I'm sorry to you too. I won't sneak around anymore."
Dean sat back. "I sure hope not. That wasn't fun for either of us."
Andy nodded.
"Come on, bedtime for you." April said. She walked Andy to the hallway and saw Kate at the end. "Could you make sure he brushes his teeth? I'll be down there in a minute."
Kate gave her a thumbs up and met Andy halfway. "We warned you."
Andy wiped his eye. "I didn't like that."
"Yeah, me either." Kate said and ruffled his hair.
Dean pinched the bridge of his nose and bounced his left leg. He didn't like awkwardness.
"Dean?"
He looked up.
"Uh, I'm sorry." April said.
"Why?"
"He got by me again. I should have a better hold on him and you shouldn't have to do that." April said.
"Kids push boundaries. I just can't sit back and let a kid be like that with their mom." Dean said.
April gave him a small smile. She wasn't sure what to say so she just said goodnight and went to join Andy.
John brought a beer into the library and tossed it to Dean.
"I don't want to hear it." Dean said.
"How did he compel her if she has taken vervain?" John asked.
Dean sat back. "I don't know."
"Might ought to figure that out soon." John said.
Dean sighed heavily. "It is on the endless list of things to figure out."
John didn't push Dean for information. He could see the set of his shoulders and worry creased eyes.
Kate and Taylor helped April get settled and then joined Dean and John.
"Castiel talked to us." Kate said.
"During dinner?" Dean asked.
"Yes." Kate said. She was worried about talking in front of John. "Uh, things are more complicated than we originally thought."
"That is a good summary of the last few years." Dean said.
Kate leaned on the table. "Andy is..."
"A handful." Dean said.
"Are you going to listen or make comments the whole time?" Kate asked and scrunched her nose.
Dean scoffed. "I can do both at the same time."
"Azazel got to him when he was a baby. In that way, he is like Sam. However, Cas thinks that he was dosed more than once or with more blood than Sam, or even I was." Kate said.
John sipped his glass.
"He said he wasn't the antichrist." Taylor said.
Kate gave him an exasperated look. "Just throw that right on out there."
"I am just ripping the bandaid off." Taylor said defensively.
"The antichrist?" Dean asked, suddenly very interested.
"NOT the antichrist." Kate corrected. "The antichrist will be made by a demon and a human. I guess it is hell's version of a Nephilim. Andy, we think, was born completely human."
"We think?" John asked with a raised eyebrow.
"If the antichrist was born, Cas said that heaven would know just like they'd know if a Nephilim was born."
Dean felt sick. "Is he like a Nephilian?"
"I don't think that strong but he is stronger than Sam for sure. I am supposed to cure him. Maybe so that he doesn't get more blood later on and become an anti...nephilian." Kate said.
"How did he compel April?" Dean asked.
Kate chewed the side of her thumb. "I have a theory." She looked nervously at John. "The vervain took the edge off. Do you still have your anti possession charm on?"
Dean flipped his wrist over. "Yes."
"April didn't. Hers was in her dresser because she didn't want Ian to pull on it." Taylor said.
"What I'm hearing is there is a demon child just running amok here." John said.
Kate rolled her eyes. "Let me remind you Sam was a demon child running amok before I came along and then I am..." She searched for a word.
"A hot mess." Dean said with a smirk.
"That." Kate said.
"Kate and I want to do some testing with the lab equipment. The word 'cure' keeps getting thrown around and we won't know where to begin without at least looking at symbols. Kate has known she should be able to cure Sam but hasn't gotten to try anything since he is at Stanford. We would like to ask him to visit during Fall or Winter break so that trials can begin." Taylor said.
Dean downed his beer. "He isn't a guinea pig."
"No, but we have to start somewhere." Kate said.
John scratched his chin. "That is his call."
"What did you find on the road?" Kate asked.
"Not a whole lot that is helpful. There is definitely more talk about angels. Two hunters reportedly stumbled on one and the one that survived is blind on account of having both eyes burned out." John said.
"That is awful." Kate said with a frown. "Angels aren't as fun as I thought they'd be."
"Cas is pretty cool." Taylor said.
"Since Naomi is disabled, can we go back home?" Kate asked.
John looked at Dean and then at Kate. "We don't know."
Kate sighed.
"I'd like to get back to Bobby's too but today's win was easy. It might have been too easy." Dean said.
Kate groaned. "You had one angel and two Nephilian on your side. It was supposed to be easy."
"You seem to be discounting my own skillset." Dean said.
John got up and stretched. "I am going to call it a night."
"Don't forget to lock doors." Dean said.
John growled under his breath but waved his hand over his back to acknowledge the comment.
"He may actually stop." Kate said.
Dean sighed. "One could hope."
"He asked me if that was you being your biggest mad." Kate said and held her arms up to show Andy's illustration of 'biggest'.
"What did you tell him?" Dean asked.
"I told him no, that was small mad and big mad happens when you have to repeat yourself." Kate said.
"Somehow you tend to disregard the small mad." Dean said with a chuckle.
"My plan A was to catch Naomi off guard anyway. I had a vision of you being 'big mad' and decided teamwork was better." Kate said as she rolled her eyes.
"What all did those visions show you? You seemed pretty sure of yourself earlier." Dean asked.
Kate looked at Taylor with sad eyes. "You, dead."
Dean cringed. "Well, I'm glad I'm not."
Kate didn't tell him that she had seen the divergence of timelines and picked the one plan that didn't end with his death. "I know we will have to talk to Cas but I really want to go for a walk or something." She clicked her tongue and crouched down. "Millie agrees."
"We will see. We should all turn in for the night. I, for one, am beat." Dean said.
"That's because you don't train or anything." Taylor said. He dodged a kick.
"Tomorrow... gym." Dean said.
Taylor grinned. "You're on."
Kate was plagued with visions all night. She tossed and turned and fell in and out of scenes.
She stepped through a doorway and her barefoot touched cobblestone. The wind was blowing and the clouds overhead were heavy with rain. Thunder rolled across the treetops and caused birds to flee. Where am I? She heard the clopping of hooves approaching and stepped off the path. Plaids... horses... she was in Scotland again. She followed the wagon to a village and tried to find her bearings. It wasn't the same village that she had met Ada in. When am I? She blinked and she was inside a building. It was stuffy and cramped. A small child cried out and a mother soothed them. Kate studied the child. He had bumps all over his skin and she noted that the mother did too. Smallpox.
Kate left the cabin and got a fresh breath of air. She was reasonably certain they had smallpox but why was she having a vision about it? Another cart rolled through and stopped outside the house. A man with an English accent knocked on the door. Another man opened the door and stepped outside. "Are you the Dr."
"Yes." The Englishman said. "I can cure your family."
Kate zoned out a little bit as the two men talked. She snapped back to attention when the Scottish man signed a scroll. The Englishman presented the man with a glass jar and left. Time jumped and children were back outside playing. Some had pox scars and others looked untouched. One child stood out and she assumed he was the baby from the first vision. He looked to be around Andy's age and was a happy kid. She found some of the games they played to be interesting.
The clouds returned darker than before. She felt a chill and rubbed her arms. The wind howled as it ripped through the trees and the horses were spooked. Kate felt sick to her stomach and very scared. The wind died down but the howling continued. She heard voices and saw torchlight. Something terrible was about to happen and she couldn't do anything. A man ran into the woods and soon after, his screams echoed through the valley. A boy that was her size ran through her and yelled. "Papa!" The man from the first house turned. He pleaded with his son to go. Kate stifled her own scream as she saw the hounds circling the village. Morning came and the village was in shambles. Husbands and fathers were missing or flayed in the courtyard. The Englishman must have been a crossroads demon promising health for souls.
She fell through the ground and flailed for anything solid. She landed on grass and groaned from the impact. She heard a familiar voice and scrambled to find it. 'Ada.' She was seemingly invisible and Ada couldn't see her. Ada smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around the neck of a tall man. Kate noticed the swell of her stomach. She was pregnant. She recognized the man as the boy from the previous visions. Of course her great great great.. great grandfather would have been the son of someone who signed a demon deal.
Another woman called out for Ada and beckoned her over. She also had a prominent bump. Could that be Taylor's relative? She liked seeing them happy and glowing. Time jumped sooner than she wanted it to. She heard a shrill cry followed by cheers from men outside a small cabin. A heavy-set woman walked outside. "You have a daughter." Ada's husband grinned with pride and raised his mug with a shout. Days or weeks went by. Kate didn't know. She was disoriented. The woman that had spoken to Ada approached her again with a baby wrapped in thick blankets. Kate listened to their conversation and felt herself being pulled away. One final scene played before her eyes before she was cast into darkness.
"Kate." Dean whispered. He wiped hair from her eyes. "Katie."
Kate opened her eyes. "Dean?"
"Yeah." He picked up Millie. "Cat eyes are glowing."
Kate sat up and grabbed Millie. "I was having visions."
"I figured. You were upset but I couldn't wake you up." Dean said.
Kate frowned. "Did I wake you up?"
"Yes but that is okay." He nudged her to scoot over so he could sit beside her. "Want to talk about it?"
"I saw so much. It was like a movie. From what I could make of it, during a smallpox outbreak, a demon rolled into town and cured families. A decade or so later, hounds came. All the visions centered on this one person and I think he was Ada's husband." Kate said.
Dean put his arm around her shoulders and let her put her head on his chest. "You saw the hounds?"
"It was awful and I couldn't do anything." Kate said.
Dean thought that explained the scream that woke him up. "So demons had a thing for our families long before our moms."
"I guess so. Agnes, Ada's friend was talking to her right before I woke up. The English came in and wiped out most of the clans. That is even in the history books. I saw a sigil Agnes drew on blankets to wrap the babies in. I think demons had something to do with it and that is the real reason that Ada ran." Kate said.
Dean sighed. "That really is a lot."
"So how did the babies go from hunted by demons to microdosed by angels?"
"I don't know. The more answers we get the more questions we think of." Dean said.
Kate yawned.
Dean patted his leg. He ran his fingers along her scalp and pulled her blanket up to her shoulders.
"You should go to bed." Kate said.
"I will." Dean said. He patted her shoulder and continued massaging her head. He chuckled softly. "Works every time." He eased his leg from under her head and gathered some extra blankets. He made a pallet in her floor and put his hands behind his head. He looked up at the dark ceiling and listened to Kate's breathing. Why did angels and demons have to mess with kids?"

John started a pot of coffee and sat down at the table with a newspaper. He had a list of hunts calling his name and wanted to get back on the road. It was the only thing he knew how to do. With Naomi contained, the angelic threat should be over.
Kate rolled over in her bed. She stretched and sat up. "Dean?"
Dean stirred. "Yeah?"
"You could have gone to your actual bed." Kate said.
"I wanted to be here if you had any more visions."
Kate slid off her bed and sat beside Dean. She leaned down to hug him. "Thank you."
"Dad is back, that means there is probably already coffee."
Kate stood up and held out her hand. She pulled Dean up and hugged him again.
Dean padded into the kitchen. "Coffee."
John put the paper down.
"She had visions last night." Dean said with a yawn.
Kate wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and sat on the bench with her back against the wall. "Really vivid ones." She explained to John what she had explained to Dean. "I don't know why that all showed up last night."
"I guess we will find out eventually." Dean said.
Taylor joined the crew. "Food?"
Dean pointed to the refrigerator.
Taylor groaned. He unwrapped a breakfast burrito warmed it on the stove. "We need more food."
Kate opened a few doors. "We have a good bit."
Taylor pulled a face.
"Are you growing or just more fond of food than normal?" Kate asked.
Taylor scoffed and went back to his burrito.
Andy woke up and sat up in his bed. He wanted to get some breakfast too but didn't want to open the door and get into trouble. He heard footsteps and cracked the door.
Dean was going to the bathroom and saw the door creak open.
Andy looked at him with wide eyes. "Can I come out?"
Dean chuckled. "Let's leave your mom a note and then you can come with me." He wrote 'Andy is with me.' and left the note by the door.
Andy followed him to the bathroom and made use of it too. "I stayed in my room."
"You did a good job." Dean praised him. He felt a small hand grab his and smiled a little.
Kate grinned when they walked into the kitchen. "Good morning."
Andy gave her a shy smile. "Good morning."
Dean let go of his hand. "Sit, I'll find something for breakfast."
Andy knelt on the bench. "Lucky charms?"
Dean shook the box. Like always, he hadn't had a bowl yet. He dumped what was left in a bowl and poured milk over it.
John read his newspaper but watched Andy as well.
Andy put the spoon in his mouth and overfilled it. Milk spilled down his chin causing him to slurp and swallow before licking his chin. He wiped the rest of the milk on his sleeve and went back to his bowl.
John had vivid memories of coming home from hunts to Dean giving Sam Lucky Charms and fussing at him for shoving too much into his mouth. That only lasted a few years and every year since then, Sam was the one fussing at Dean not to eat so much at once.
April walked into the kitchen a while later with a hungry Ian. "I got your note."
"I didn't leave, mom." Andy said.
April smiled. "I saw."
Kate held her arms out for Ian. She found that she liked babies.
Dean gave April a cup of coffee. He chuckled when she pulled a face. "He made it." He said and nodded toward John.
April cleared her throat. "Thank you." She placed the coffee on the counter and added cream and sugar to it.
Ian smacked the table with his hand and smiled excitedly. He waved at John and twisted in Kate's arms.
Kate grabbed a banana and peeled it for him. "If Marie wants to make some more stuff, can we take a road trip?"
Dean sat down across from her. "I am not sure. I'd be down for it though."
"I'd like to see my grandpa." Taylor said. He hadn't seen him since they healed him.
"Did your grandma make the food?" April asked.
"Yep."
"She is an excellent cook." April said.
"She is the best." Taylor said with a sigh.
Dean noted Taylor's general mood and sipped his coffee. Had he had visions too? "What are your plans for the day?"
John shrugged. "I don't have any yet."
"Kate was wanting to see the sun at some point today." Dean said.
John got up to refill his mug. "As long as we are in the clear."
Kate brightened. Visions were beginning to be the only way she got out of the bunker.
Dean finished off his coffee and put the cup in the sink. "Taylor, can you help me with something?"
Taylor threw the wrapper of his burrito away and followed Dean. "What?"
"What is up?" Dean asked.
"Nothing." Taylor said.
"Nothing." Dean repeated in Taylor's tone of voice. "Kate had visions all night. Did you?"
"Yeah but they were not real." Taylor said.
"Not real isn't a great phrase nowadays."
"I had a dream that Craig came back because David raised him from the dead." Taylor said.
Dean nodded. "I don't think he could even if he knew how."
"He wasn't burned." Taylor said. "John never told me how he disposed of him but still made it look like suicide."
Dean sighed. "Stay here." He stepped into the kitchen and motioned for John to follow him. "Taylor had dreams or visions last night and it may help if you tell him what happened with Craig."
John rubbed his face. "Why?"
"You can talk to him. You decide." Dean said with a shrug.
Taylor wound and unwound a piece of thread around his finger. He wouldn't be able to explain Ellie and Nate since John wouldn't remember them.
"Dean said you wanted to talk." John said.
Taylor shrugged. "What did you do with Craig's body?"
"Why?"
"I had a dream that David raised him from the dead." Taylor said.
John sat down on one of the gym benches. "I made sure that wouldn't be possible."
"Ghosts come back from a piece of hair left behind." Taylor said.
"I made sure." John said firmly.
"What about if a demon got into his body?" Taylor asked.
"I made sure that his grave was lined with salt." John answered.
"What if David dug through that?"
"Taylor, a demon cannot possess a body that isn't a complete body anymore." John said.
Taylor rolled his foot across one of the weights. "Do you know where David is?"
"You are headed into dangerous territory." John warned.
"I had the vision. It worries me. Please look into it. I've respected that boundary and still am but I would feel a whole lot better if someone looked into it." Taylor said.
"I will have Bobby do that." John said.
"Thanks." Taylor said. "I'm going to stay in here for a while."
John left and heard Taylor's fist connect with the punching bag. The kid still had a lot of anger but managed it well.

(November 20th.)
Sam saw flashing lights in front of his dorm and ran to the door. "What is going on?"
Another resident spoke up. "A water line burst."
Sam let out a breath of air. Hours went by before he was able to go inside. He could already tell his room was toast. Everything under his bed was soggy but at least his papers were dry. The box of anti-demon stuff was sealed and still good.
A representative of the college announced that several rooms would be shut down and repaired. "You will need to find other accommodations and let us know if you are unable to."
"How long?" Another resident asked.
"With winter approaching I do not know." The representative said before taking a phone call.
Sam wondered if they'd still take housing allowance out of his scholarship. He messaged Jess to update her and talked to the other people to find a place to stay.
Jess's uncle was a landlord and just had tenants move out. She called him to see if he'd let her use the empty apartment. She thanked him profusely and called Sam. "Hey, I have a place you may be able to stay."
Sam went by Jess's dorm. "So he would let me stay there."
"Pretty much. You'd have to pay rent but it is probably cheaper than the dorms." Jess said.
Sam had never had his own apartment.
"I was also thinking... maybe I could pay half." Jess said.
"Oh, that is really nice but financial aid should cover it." Sam said.
Jess bit her lip and twirled a piece of hair around her finger. "I was thinking about moving out of the dorms."
Sam furrowed his brows and then his eyes flew open. "Oh!"
Jess blushed. "I mean. I don't have to. I can wait until you have a dorm room again."
Sam smiled. "Why waste a perfectly good apartment?"
Jess smiled back. "I'll tell my uncle."
The next morning, Jess's uncle let them into the apartment and gave them the paperwork to fill out. He was unsure of Sam but Jess was beaming.
Sam walked around and looked at the rooms. It was the nicest place he had ever stayed. Well, Bobby's was nice but it was Bobby's.
Jess turned and squealed excitedly. She jumped so Sam would catch her and kissed him deeply.
Sam sat her on the kitchen counter and kissed her back.
"We need a bed." Jess said, out of breath.
Sam looked around. "We need more than that."
Jess smiled. "Good thing I have a lot of things from my parents' house."
"They wouldn't care if you took it?" Sam asked.
Jess smirked. "They give me whatever I want."
Sam scoffed. "I never got what I wanted."
Jess faked a pout. "What does that say about me?"
Sam grinned and swept her off the counter. "That something went right for once."

Dean stopped the car and looked at Andy. "Where can you go?"
"Nowhere without a buddy." Andy said.
"Correct. Stay extra close since we don't know what is out there." He added.
Kate held out her hand for Andy. "Come on."
Andy took her hand and pulled her toward the playground. "I want to swing."
April put Ian in a baby swing and tucked a blanket around him. It was the first time they had been to a park in weeks. Even before they got swept into the demon mess, she hadn't been able to take them to the park. She was either running from Steven or struggling to put food on the table. Seeing Andy's grin warmed her heart.
Dean kept an eye on the perimeter of the park and checked in with Taylor who was also keeping an eye out. The outing was much discussed and it was ultimately decided that they would be able to protect themselves and Andy if they kept a watchful eye.
Andy leaned his head back and closed his eyes. He felt like he was flying. The wind was cold on his face and caused his nose to tingle. The school he went to before had a cool playground. He kind of missed school. He wondered when he would get to go back. Would Cody be mad at him about the gun? Did Cody's dad swat him? He looked mad like Dean had. He hoped not.
Dean's phone buzzed. He read the message. 'Got an apartment.' He snorted and called Sam. "You what?"
"My dorm flooded and it could be a while before it is fixed. Sooooo I got an apartment."
Dean heard Jess's voice in the background. "Sam, you dog."
"Jess's uncle owns the place. It just worked out." Sam said.
Dean put a hand in his pocket to keep it warm. "You left here a boy and now you're a man." He teased.
"Does that mean you aren't since you don't have an apartment?" Sam asked with a smirk.
"I have a damn bunker." Dean said.
"How are things there?"
"Disgustingly suburban. We brought the kids to the park." Dean said. "If you so much as laugh I will kick your ass next time I see you."
Sam stifled a laugh. "Fall break is just a few days but I thought about driving down to Bobby's during winter break."
"If we are back by then." Dean grumbled.
"Any updates?"
"No. Enjoy your stupid apartment." Dean said.
Sam grinned. "Jerk."
"Bitch." Dean grumbled and put the phone back in his pocket. He saw a man approaching the park and moved to get a better view. Two kids darted by him and Dean relaxed slightly. Kate knew to test the kids once they got close. He checked his watch and shoved both hands inside his coat.
Andy jumped off the swing but waited for Kate. "Slide with me!"
Kate followed along behind him and saw the other kids. She turned to let Dean know that she was aware. She mumbled part of an exorcism and neither kid wigged out.
"Hi! I'm Andy, what is your name?" Andy said excitedly.
"Tabitha." The girl answered. "That is my brother, George."
Andy waved at George. "Do you want to play?"
Kate stayed close by but it was nice for Andy to play with kids his age. She wasn't that much older than him. Actually, five years, give or take a few months, older than Andy and Dean was only 4 years old when Sam was born. She had grown in confidence and independence but the thought of taking care of a kid at her age made her sad for Dean. John didn't leave them for long periods of time until they were slightly older but at six, Dean was doing most of the caring for Sam. Andy was an excellent brother to Ian but she couldn't imagine leaving the two alone overnight.
Taylor was still worried about David and Craig. He couldn't shake the gut feeling and he didn't know if John would actually look into the problem. He didn't want to go behind his back and talk to Bobby about it because he was sure that John would see it as disrespect. He decided to call Marie instead.
Marie answered her phone. "Taylor, sweetie, how are you?"
"I am good, nana. How are you?" Taylor asked.
"We are good." Marie emphasized the 'we.' "Your grandpa is right back to working around the house. I don't think I've seen the horses so happy in a while."
Taylor smiled. "So he hasn't gotten sick again?"
"He has more energy than he did before he got sick." Marie said. She heard giggling. "Are you out and about?"
Taylor told her a little about April and her kids. "So we are at the park."
"That is wonderful. I hate that you are locked away most of the time. Do you all need more food?" Marie asked.
"It wouldn't hurt but it gets expensive." Taylor said. He was always aware of how much money things required.
"My book club found out about Misty and the house fire. I stayed with the story that you told me to use. They have been asking to pitch in on meals and a few other things." Marie said.
Taylor felt a little bit of guilt but it also felt nice that people he didn't know would want to help him. "I am not sure how long April will be here but Andy gets bored easily. I was going to find some toys but it may also be a good idea to find stuff like that just in case anyone else ever has to stay. When Dean's friend, Caleb, had to stop by, he didn't have any clothes his size right away."
Marie wrote down a bit of information. "Don't you worry about any of that. You just ask Dean when you'll be able to stop by. Of course, I don't mind if someone else picks stuff up but I'd love to see your lovely face."
Taylor's cheeks reddened. "I know, nana. I miss you." He paused. "Have you heard from David?"
"No, honey, I haven't. Is anything wrong?" Marie asked.
"I just had a weird dream." Taylor said and rolled a rock with his foot.
Kate felt the wind pick up and zipped her jacket. Leaves scattered and swirled across the ground. She felt a twinge of fear as it reminded her of her vision. She called out for Andy. "Let's take a break and get some water."
Andy frowned. "Aw, can't I stay and play."
Kate held out her hand. "Drink first."
Andy hopped off the slide and took Kate's hand.
Dean sat down on the bench and twisted the top off a juice bottle. "Are you having fun?"
"Lots." Andy said before gulping the apple juice.
"I feel a little off but I'm not sure why." Kate admitted.
Dean looked at his watch. "We could head out and get something to eat." He touched Andy's cheek. "Looks like warming up would be a good idea."
Andy frowned. "I don't want to leave."
"We have to be careful out here. I bet hot coco would make you feel better." Kate said.
April gathered Ian and joined the others.
Taylor did as well. "Are we leaving?"
"Yes. We can stop and get something to eat." Dean said.
Taylor looked at Kate. He had felt a twinge of something too.
Ian was getting cranky and rubbing at his ears. He was sleepy and in need of a nap.
April placed him in his car seat. "I think he will fall asleep with a full tummy."
Dean found the local diner and stopped the car. He got out and barely caught Andy as he darted out of the seat.
Andy felt Dean's arm around his waist and froze. "I'm not runnin'."
Dean put him down. "Wait for everybody else."
"They have airplanes." Andy said and pointed to a store display. He waited beside Dean although he wanted to check out the planes.
The diner wasn't busy so they got a table quickly. Dean already knew what he was going to order and put the menu down.
Kate helped Andy choose something and excused herself to go to the restroom. She felt fatigued. She splashed a bit of water on her face and looked at the mirror. She gasped when she saw bright red lines crawling across her skin. She quickly wiped her face and the lines were gone. She checked her skin again and took a deep breath. Was that a vision?
Taylor told Dean about what Marie had said. "I think I have a fan club of old ladies."
"As long as that ends in food, I say it is a good thing." Dean said.
Andy looked out the window at the store display. The planes were hanging from thin strings in the window. He wished he could get in a real plane and fly. He had never been in a real plane. He gasped when the planes started to move. One detached from its string and floated in the air. The shop keeper appeared in the window and looked at the planes with wide eyes.
Dean looked out the window and then at Andy. "Stop."
Andy jumped and the planes stopped moving. "That was me?"
"Looks like it." Dean said.
"That is awesome." Andy said with a huge grin.
Dean tapped the table. "That will draw the wrong kind of attention."
Andy sighed. The waitress brought their plates so he happily ate his noodles.
Once the meal was over, Dean paid and tipped the waitress.
April leaned into the backseat to put Ian into his seat and Dean turned his back to take a phone call.
Taylor was still inside and Kate was helping April.
Andy looked at the store display again and smiled at the man that was standing in the doorway.
The man grabbed a small plane and threw it like a paper airplane. It drifted over to Andy and landed at his feet.
Andy gasped and picked it up. He saw the man put a finger to his lips and gave him a small wave. He looked around and noticed that no one else had seen the man throw the plane. He tucked the plane into his jacket and looked back to wave again but the man was gone.
