Jess helped Caleb seal off the apartment so that no demons could get in. She wasn't sure about the sigils but she was scared that demons would continue trying to attack.

"We can hide stuff so you don't see it every day." Caleb said. He pulled a frame from the wall.

"What if my uncle sees stuff?" Jess asked.

Caleb worked on a sigil. "Uh, Kate and Taylor seem to be good at figuring that sort of stuff out."

Jess wanted to be with Sam. "You should go protect Sam."

Caleb sighed. "Someone else is."

"So, demos are real?" Jess asked.

Caleb nodded.

"How do you know about them? Is this the business Sam said the family had? Is this why Dean gets hurt so much?" Jess asked.

Caleb was uncomfortable. "Uh, I don't think I should tell you any of that stuff. Sam would have my hide. He was pretty set on you not knowing any of this."

Jess scoffed and put her hands on her hip. "Last time I needed a man's permission to do anything or know about anything, I was a child and living at home. Sam may not want me to know things but I'm a grown woman who can make my own decisions."

Caleb blinked a few times and grinned. He had no idea that Sam liked them firey. "Alright then, I'll leave the finer details to Sam because those are personal but yeah. His dad and my dad were old hunting buddies."

"Hunting?" Jess asked.

"That is what we refer to it as. We hunt down the creepy crawlies and get rid of them so they don't hurt civilians." Caleb said.

"There are just demons out there?"

Caleb pulled a face. "Well."

Jess looked him in the eye and slowly raised her eyebrow.

"Uh... um.. there are other things out there but right now you just worry about demons. They have a thing for Winchesters." Caleb said.

Jess felt a chill run up her spine. "Why?"

"Ah, that is a long story that Sam will have to tell you. That part is real personal. I will say his dad has had a vendetta against a certain one for a long time." Caleb said. He flipped a rug over to draw on the bottom of it.

"Is he always um..." Jess wasn't sure how to word her question. "Well... um... gruff."

Caleb snorted. "Yeah, that is John Winchester for you. He is a damn fine hunter and would move heaven and earth for his kids but if you are looking for conversation or sympathy, you probably won't get it."

Jess was quiet for a while. Her sweet, gentle Sam was a demon hunter. The Sam that cured hangovers and held her hair back when she got sick grew up knowing about demons. She couldn't wrap her head around it. "Did Sam hunt?"

"A little. He and Dean make a good team. John wouldn't let him hunt alone or really, go on any big hunts until he got older. Then, he skipped town and came out here. He didn't want to." Caleb said.

Castiel walked through the hospital in search of Sam. He was stopped by a nurse that wanted to know what he was doing. "I am in search of my... uncle... no.. nephew."

The nurse was weary. "Perhaps you should come with me."

Castiel touched her head and made her forget what she was doing. He finally found Sam and confirmed that he was untouched. He tried to heal Sam but he didn't seem to have any wounds.

Sam's vision flooded with light. He was left shaken when it disappeared. He was still in the vision. Was it a vision?

Castiel wasn't sure why Sam wouldn't wake up. If he was in a typical coma, he could at least read him. He set boundaries around the room that would prevent a demon attack. He needed to speak to someone.

Dean let John in as soon as he got to the door. "Things are stable. Kate and Andy are still out but it is like they are asleep. They are breathing and everything."

"What about Azazel?" John asked.

Dean swallowed. "He is still back there."

John went to storm down the hallway but Taylor stopped him.

"Wait. We need a plan." Taylor said.

John glared at Taylor. "I have a plan."

Taylor felt butterflies in his stomach. He wasn't enjoying the gaze that penetrated his soul. "Azazel likely knows things we don't. This isn't a spur of the moment, bust out of jail type escape. He could be holding them inside their heads. What happens if he can hurt them that way?"

"I have been doing this a whole lot longer than you have. Do you think I am an idiot?" John asked.

Dean needed to get Taylor out of hot water before John snapped. "We have had hours to talk about this. He is expecting you to go in. He is expecting your anger to control you."

"We don't know what form he is in. All we saw were eyes." Taylor said.

John wanted the bastard dead.

"We have the knife but what if he isn't in human form?" Taylor asked.

John pinched the bridge of his nose. "So I will find out."

Taylor groaned and started to open his mouth but Dean jerked him into a room.

"Are you trying to piss him off?" Dean asked.

Taylor threw up his hands and hissed. "If he is busy beating the crap out of me he won't be rushing into Azazel's trap and getting himself killed."

Dean froze. He closed his eyes and flinched when the door opened.

Taylor blinked rapidly. He forgot that John had amazing hearing.

Dean could feel the thin thread of John's patience starting to unravel. "It is possible Kate could be sending him thoughts."

John approached Taylor. "Do you want to say that to my face?"

"No, sir." Taylor squeaked.

"Is there anything else you would like to say?" John asked in a low tone.

Taylor broke eye contact with him. He swallowed hard. Screw it. "Kate said to get you before she passed out. Due to the amount of stuff going on lately and our own knowledge of the timeline being messed with, I think we should stop and come up with a really good plan. Kate has been tormented by visions of Azazel getting everyone killed. At the top of that list is you. Azazel is scary. Quite frankly, you are too. What is scarier than the both of you is Kate waking up and finding out that I didn't at least try to stop some of those visions from happening because I was too much of a chicken to say something to you."

Dean held his breath. He wasn't sure if he would need to actually stop John from beating the crap out of the kid.

John stared at Taylor for a moment. The kid had a lot of nerve.

Taylor swallowed again. "She has a notebook of drawings. Can we at least look to see if she knew something?"

John didn't take his eyes off of Taylor but growled. "Go get it."

Taylor all but fled the room they were in. He went to Kate's room and pulled her notebook from the desk. "Is everything still okay in here?"

April nodded and motioned to a sleeping Ian.

Taylor gave her a thumbs up. He flipped through the pages as he walked. He hoped that Kate had a relevant drawing. His life kind of depended on it.

Dean didn't move or speak. He didn't disagree with Taylor but an angry John Winchester was not to be pushed.

Taylor stepped back into the room and put the notebook on a table. "We kept noticing weird gaps of time missing or details that were changed. We were under the impression that this was done to prevent bad things from happening. So, certain things we were unsure of if it was done by an older version of Kate..."

"Excuse me." John said.

Taylor looked at Dean and then at John. Had they not told him that bit of information?

Dean was still frozen.

"Someone has been wiping memories. You knew about the Kate thing." Taylor said. "Anyway, some things didn't make sense for older Kate to erase. Then, Kate started having a lot of visions. She kept a record by drawing and this page is missing. Whatever was on it was probably important. We don't know who took it or when they took it. My own visions didn't make a whole lot of sense but as I am looking through these drawings, I am seeing something similar."

Dean inched closer. "What are you thinking?"

"Azazel kept hitting Kate with visions of us being hurt or dying. He knew that would make her break down. However, were all of these visions from him or did he just catalyze the vision process?" Taylor asked.

John considered what Taylor was saying. "Either way he needs to die."

"I don't disagree. I'm just saying, maybe we don't all die in the process." Taylor said.

Dean eyed him suspiciously. Something was off.

Kate let go of her ears when silence engulfed the darkness. It was eerie and caused her heart to beat faster. She heard soft footsteps and got onto her knees so she could react more quickly. The steps got closer but she couldn't see anything. She heard soft humming and crawled closer to the voice. Light filled the space and suddenly she was in Bobby's house. She looked up and met eyes with a young woman. "Who are you?"

The woman turned and smiled at her. "My name is Tessa."

Kate could see a warm glow around her. She knew she had some type of power. "What are you?"

Tessa gave her a sad smile. "I'm a reaper."

John made his way down the hallway. As he walked, the lights turned on. Azazel knew he was coming. He put his hand on the doorknob and took a deep breath. Now or never.

Azazel's face split in a sickening grin. "John, old pal, you came."

John's jaw twitched. "How did you get out?"

Azazel laughed and clasped his hands. "You thought a box would contain me?"

John wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face.

"Oh, come on Johnny boy, don't clam up on me now. We have so much to talk about." Azazel cooed.

John pulled a knife from his side. "Yes, we do."

Azazel flinched when he saw the knife. "Looks like you found an interesting knife."

John turned the knife over in his hand. "Kills demons. Proven to work."

"Stab me then." Azazel said.

John ran his fingers over the engraving. "And waste all this time to talk?"

Dean carried a chair into the room. He aided John in getting Azazel into the chair by use of holy water and muscle.

Azazel hissed as the last of the holy water singed his skin.

Dean stepped out of the room. John needed that time to exact revenge and get answers.

Taylor tapped Dean. "He needs to end this before it gets out of hand."

"Give him time." Dean said.

A howl made their hair stand on end.

April got closer to Kate. The pulse ox meter attached to her finger had started to beep. She touched her face and whispered her name. "Kate?" Her heart rate was low and her skin was cool to the touch. She sent Dean an urgent message and tried to rouse Kate.

### ###

"A reaper?" Kate asked.

"Yes. We get a bad wrap but we do not hurt people. We simply help them to their final destination." Tessa said.

"You are here for me then?" Kate asked.

"I get the call to reap and I show up." Tessa said.

Kate chewed on her fingers. "So I'm supposed to die today?"

Tessa sat down at Bobby's table. "Sit down, let's have a chat."

Bobby hitched a ride on Cas Airlines, as Caleb referred to it. He grabbed Sam's hand and squeezed. "Okay, Sam, you have to wake up."

Jess looked outside. "How do you know who is a demon?"

"You usually don't know until they start doing demon crap. Holy water, salt, and certain words set them off. Sometimes you can tell because they aren't good at acting like humans. Your neighbor lady over there, what do you notice about her?" Caleb asked.

Jess studied her. "She doesn't have on shoes and it is cold."

"Correct." Caleb said.

"Can we get to Sam?" Jess asked.

"Bobby messaged to say that he is there." Caleb said.

Jess furrowed her brows. "How did you get here so fast? How did he get here so fast?"

Caleb shrugged. "Not by doing the speed limit."

Jess narrowed her eyes and got closer to him. "Where is your car?"

"You ask a whole lot of questions." Caleb said.

Jess screamed when Castiel appeared in the living room

Caleb grabbed her arm before she tossed holy water at him. "Not a demon."

Jess stared at Castiel. "What is that?"

Caleb groaned. "That is a.. uh.. that is Cas."

Castiel inched closer to Jess and touched her head. "Rest."

Caleb put Jess on the couch. "You didn't have to knock her out."

"It prevented her from asking questions." Cas said.

"What is going on out there?"

"The demons are coordinating some type of attack but are passive." Castiel said.

"Passive is good." Caleb said.

"For now."

Caleb jumped when the angel vanished. "Well goodbye to you too!"

### ###

Dean got April's message and stopped breathing.

"What is it?" Taylor asked.

Dean showed him the message.

Taylor backed away from him. "I'll go." He ran down the hallway and entered Kate's room. He rubbed her arm and pinched her. "Come on, breathe."

April was horrified. Andy seemed to be doing fine.

"How long has she been like this?" Taylor asked.

April was shaking. "The beeping just started."

Taylor was frozen in fear. He felt something in the pit of his stomach and forced himself to swallow the terror. "I'll be back."

### ###

Azazel spat out a mouthful of blood. He smiled with bloody teeth. "While you are in here, your kids are dying out there."

John growled. "Let them go."

Azazel chuckled. "No."

"You can't kill them. You need them." John said.

Azazel shrugged. "Only one of them. They aren't the only ones, you know."

Dean slowly opened the door. "Dad, it is Kate."

John slammed his fist into Azazel's face. "Let her go!"

Azazel's head rocked back. "Everything you care about will be stripped away."

Dean got a second message and left John. He ran to Kate's room. She wasn't breathing. He started CPR. She couldn't die. She couldn't.

### ###

"So you are a friend of the family? How did we become friends with a reaper?" Kate asked.

"That is a long story, dear." Tessa said.

Kate saw things inside Bobby's house start to fade. "Does it have to be me that you reap?"

"It has to be somebody. You can't mess with death." Tessa said. She knew that the Winchesters were notorious for messing with death but Kate didn't need that information.

"You could take Azazel." Kate offered.

"I wish it was that easy." Tessa said.

"Will I turn into a ghost?"

"Not if you come with me." Tessa said. "I can take you to your family."

Kate frowned. "My family is in the bunker." She looked out the window and then at Tessa. "I need to get a message across."

Taylor was in the infirmary when he felt a wave of energy flow through the bunker. His hands were shakey and he had tears in his eyes.

Azazel felt the wave too and smiled. "One down."

John drove the knife into Azazel's stomach. "Last chance."

Dean felt his heart slipping through the bottom of his feet. He couldn't breathe and his eyes stung. "Come on."

Taylor slid into Kate's room. "Is she?"

Dean shook his head. He knew her heart had stopped but he wasn't going to give up.

Taylor gasped when everyone froze around him. He felt a chill in the air and slowly turned around. "What did you do?"

### ###

Dean continued CPR and felt his arms start to ache. He didn't care.

Taylor acted swiftly and drew blood from Kate's arm. "Don't stop, Dean." He ran as fast as he could to John and swung the door open.

John saw the anguish on Taylor's face and turned to Azazel.

Taylor jumped in front of him.

John tried to pull him back. "What the hell?"

Taylor jabbed a needle into Azazel's leg just as Azazel broke free from his binds and put his arm around his neck.

John was shaking. "Let him go."

Azazel put a hand on Taylor's chin. He was going to snap his neck but his body grew weak.

Taylor drove his head into Azazel's mouth and shoved him back into the chair.

Azazel's head rocked back and to the side. He struggled to keep his head upright. The disorientation only lasted a few seconds before he lunged at Taylor again.

"Taylor, move!" John yelled. He drove the demon knife into Azazel's chest and watched the light flicker from his eyes.

Taylor shoved something into his pocket and ran down the hallway. She was supposed to wake up. Why wasn't she awake?

Andy started to stir. He cried out and held his head. "Mommy!"

### ####

Sam sat up in his bed and flailed.

Bobby took hold of his shoulders. "Easy son, you're going to hurt yourself."

Sam blinked rapidly.

Bobby yelled for a nurse and kept Sam from ripping his IV out.

Sam had no idea where he was. He didn't even recognize Bobby at first.

### ###

With Andy awake, Dean expected Kate to wake up. "Come on, come on."

John touched Dean's arm. "I'll take over."

Dean stumbled back and sat on the floor.

John couldn't get a pulse. "How long has she been like this?"

Dean couldn't speak.

"Uh, maybe 5 or so minutes." April said through tears.

Taylor stepped into the hallway. He held his hands up to capture something in a ball. He was shakey.

"Taylor?" Dean asked.

Taylor carried the invisible force to Kate's body and shoved it into her chest.

John instantly felt a pulse and it was getting stronger.

Dean shoved him out of the way. "Kate!"

Kate gagged and coughed. She rolled onto her side and held her chest as her ribs mended. She knew that ribs could get broken during CPR but it was a rough thing to wake up to.

Dean pulled her into his arms and held onto her like she was going to float away if he didn't.

John checked on Andy. "Anything hurt?"

Andy shook his head. "No. I'm just scared."

"I bet." John said.

"A woman wanted me to go with her but I said no and I stayed in the big room." Andy said.

April kissed his head and held it to her chest. "Shh, it is okay."

Kate tapped Dean's arm and mumbled something.

"What is it?" Dean asked.

Kate tapped his arm again. "Can't breathe."

Dean loosened his grip. He didn't realize he had been holding her that tight. "You scared the shit out of me."

Kate felt guilt rip through her and started crying.

Dean pulled her up to the bed. "You're okay. Azazel is dead. Everything is okay."

"Do you want to go to your own room?" John asked April.

April nodded. "I think we need time together."

Taylor and John helped them to the room and Taylor got them some drinks and snacks.

Andy curled up beside April. "I stayed, mama."

"What do you mean?" April asked.

"There was a big room and I stayed because I didn't have an adult with me but a lady came. She had brown hair and looked nice but I said I couldn't go with her because I had to wait on you." Andy mumbled.

April rubbed his back. "You're okay. Just rest."

Taylor offered to take Ian so that April could focus on Andy. He put him in the carrier that April had and strapped him to his back. He bounced a little to settle him and went back to check on Kate.

Kate was racked with emotions and couldn't calm down. She was shaken and all of her fear was flowing from her body in sobs.

"I'm going to double check." John said and stepped out of the room. He couldn't comfort her. He stopped Taylor in the hallway. "What happened? What did you give him that made him act like that?"

"A blood mixture." Taylor said. "

"What kind of mixture?" John asked.

Taylor bounced Ian. "I'm not sure."

"Some of the plan was to make Azazel think I was acting off of anger. Did you go back and adjust your part of the plan?" John asked.

Taylor couldn't make eye contact with him.

John nodded. "I am assuming Kate and you have something to share?"

Taylor was glad Ian was on his back. "It is complicated."

John sighed. "I am going to make sure Azazel is truly dead and then I'm going to want to know where you veered off the path."

"Yes, sir." Taylor said.

Dean hated hearing Kate so upset. The sobs broke his heart.

Taylor stepped into the room. "Andy said he saw a woman in a room when he was out."

Kate sniffled. "What did she look like?"

Taylor shrugged. "Brown hair was all he said."

Kate needed to talk to Taylor alone. She pushed into his head and told him about Tessa.

Taylor tried to mask his reaction but Dean noticed everything.

"Don't do that. Whatever you are trying to say, you can say out loud." Dean said.

Kate stiffened.

Dean pinched the bridge of his nose. "What happened?"

Kate shook her head and held onto his shirt.

Dean tapped her arm. "We have to debrief anyway. A lot happened."

John slipped back into the room. "He is dead."

Kate relaxed slightly.

John caught Dean's eye. "What?"

Dean nudged Kate. "Kate."

Kate shook her head again.

John simply looked at Taylor.

Taylor's mouth was dry. He didn't know what to say and hadn't gotten everything Kate was trying to tell him.

John pulled Kate's desk chair out and sat down. He leaned back and crossed his arms and looked at Taylor again.

Taylor opened his mouth and then shut it again.

"I just want to rest." Kate said.

"Kate, what did you do?" Dean asked. He moved her to sit beside him.

Kate flopped back on her bed and covered her face with her pillow. A sharp smack to the front of her thigh made her sit up. "Ow!"

"I asked you a question." Dean said.

Kate gave him a pitiful look.

"No, don't pull that." Dean said.

"Azazel knocked me out, I died and now you are wanting me to talk." Kate said.

"How do you know you died?" Dean asked.

Kate bit her lip and looked at her hands. "You did compressions."

"How do you know?" Dean asked.

Kate touched her sternum. "My chest hurts."

Ian made a sound that caused both John and Dean to look at Taylor.

Taylor reached back and rubbed Ian's foot.

"What do you know?" John asked.

"I don't really know anything. I just acted on instinct." Taylor said.

John raised an eyebrow at him. "That is one."

Taylor's mouth fell open. He shot Kate a look and then looked back at John. "We agreed that we were tricking Azazel. We tricked him."

"Two."

Kate groaned. "Can't we all just be happy that Azazel is gone? We won."

"Now I know you did something." Dean said.

Kate looked at Taylor for a moment.

"Don't talk in your heads." Dean said.

John stood up. He put his hands on his hips and raised his eyebrows.

"Where do you want me to start?" Kate asked.

"Anywhere you went off the rails." Dean said.

Kate wanted to skip that portion of the evening. She wanted them to be happy that the demon was gone and not worry so much about everything else. "Some of my visions were about the future."

"Taylor showed us some of your drawings." John said.

"Yeah, so bits and pieces fell through the cracks and things started to make some kind of sense," Kate said. "To make a long story a little shorter, someone gave me tips along the way. When Azazel was attacking Andy and me, I was hit with a wave of visions. There was a gap in time between me saying 'enough' and me passing out."

"Not much of one. You went pretty quick." Dean said.

Kate looked at him uncomfortably.

"Katelyn." John growled.

"I had enough time to share something with Taylor. It was a vision." Kate said.

"You didn't think to mention that?" Dean asked.

"It... it is complicated." Taylor said.

"It really is complicated. It is an obscure idea and he didn't know what to do with it."

"After I saw the drawings, I started to understand." Taylor said.

"So, you're going to be mad. Taylor can go. I'll explain." Kate said.

"No, he is going to stay right where he is." John said.

Kate groaned. "Can we discuss this tomorrow?"

"No." Dean said. He wanted to just enjoy the victory but he had a horrible feeling that it came at a cost.

Kate shuffled her feet on the floor. "While I was out, I knew I couldn't use my abilities to wake up. I didn't want to give Azazel that kind of power. A woman came to me at Bobby's house. It was after horrible visions. Her name was Tessa. I think Andy saw her too."

"Who is Tessa?" Dean asked.

"Uh, a friend of the family?" Kate said.

John stepped closer to her.

"A reaper. She's a reaper!" Kate squeaked.

Dean rubbed his face. A reaper got that close to her.

Ian fussed again.

"Give Ian back to April." John said.

"He's okay." Taylor said.

John looked at him. "Three."

Taylor swallowed hard. "I'll be back."

Kate had known they'd be pissed. She prepared herself for it but at the moment, she just wanted to crawl out of her skin. "Taylor seriously isn't to blame."

"We will be the judge of that." John said.

Kate took a deep breath. "Tessa and I talked. She showed me things. I couldn't tell anyone because I couldn't use my abilities. Certain things had to happen for a certain outcome. They couldn't be changed. I couldn't tell you guys."

"What?" Dean asked.

Kate pulled her feet up so that they were under her.

Taylor walked back in.

Kate gave him a worried look. "Reapers are not bound by time so they can go back and forth whenever they want. You were kind of always meant to go down when Azazel did."

John scoffed. "I could have told you that."

Kate gave him a strained smile.

"What did you do?" John asked.

"Did you get what I asked you to?" Kate asked.

Taylor nodded. He pulled a black rock from his pocket.

Dean looked at it. "What is that?"

"A piece of evil, essentially," Kate said.

"Spill, I'm losing patience," John said.

Kate decided to confess and deal with the aftermath. She'd just spare Taylor. "The word cure has been on my mind. I am supposed to cure Andy. To do that, there has to be some heavy duty things going into it. Keep in mind that I had insight from Tessa and some other stuff."

John sat back down and bounced his leg. "Go on."

"Azazel was going to die. We all knew that. It just had to be done in a specific way. You deserved closure. Dominos. Things happen like dominos. I was able to get that flash to Taylor before I passed out. He was acting on my impulse. Then, with the first layer down, I was trapped. I had seen mention of a... a.. um a way of getting everything we needed to cure Andy."

Dean turned to her. "What kind of way, Kate?"

Kate squeaked and chewed on her fingers.

"Spellbook?" Dean asked.

Kate was too panicked to speak.

"What did you do?" Dean asked firmly.

"To become a vampire you have to die with vamp blood in your system. It is similar to that. Azazel had to die with my blood in his system but he had to die out of pure hatred. John killed him. Then there's a sacrifice needed and bam, you have a physical piece of soul that can be used to remove all the demon blood from Andy." Kate said.

Taylor cringed.

"Kate, if you tell me that you were the sacrifice I am going to paddle you until you can't sit for a month." Dean said, evenly.

Kate kept her mouth shut.

"You knew?" John asked Taylor.

Taylor put his back against the wall.

"No! He didn't know." Kate said.

Taylor groaned. "I knew about how she was getting the cure."

"I asked Tessa if I could get a message across before she did the whole reaping thing. You know, multiple birds with one stone. So, I was able to talk to Taylor as ghost me and gave him what he needed to dose Azazel." Kate said.

Dean was about to chip a tooth from how hard he was gritting his teeth. "You sacrificed yourself?"

Kate scooted back on her bed. "Well uh no not exactly."

"Explain." Dean said.

"John dying would be really bad because it would destroy you and in other timelines, it just set off a host of bad things. I was already there and thought that Taylor may be able to get me back into my body."

Dean stood up quickly and paced. "You THOUGHT he may be able to get you back? You thought him dying would destroy me? You didn't think I'd be destroyed if you died?" Goddammit Kate."

Kate let tears fall down her cheeks. "I had to."

"No, you didn't. If there is ever a choice between me and you, you let me go. Do you understand me?" John said.

Taylor wanted so badly to help. "I can manipulate stuff, a ghost was no problem."

John turned his eyes to Taylor. He took a slow, deep breath. "How much did you know?"

Kate hiccuped. "He didn't know."

John stepped closer to Taylor. "Answer me."

"I knew about the spell to get the cure." Taylor said.

"No, he didn't! I didn't tell him everything." Kate insisted.

John held his hand up. "If you say anything else before I am done talking to him I am going to take my belt off."

Kate put her hand over her mouth.

"We couldn't tell you guys. It was necessary." Taylor said.

"We would have found a way. Even if he doesn't get 'cured' Azazel is dead. I could have ended it all." John said.

"You were going to go in half cocked and let him get you too angry to think." Taylor countered. He bit the inside of his cheek. He stepped away from John. "We saw things. We know things. I showed you the drawings and got you to make a better plan."

John blew air through his nose. "A plan you didn't even follow!"

"I... I did.. I did but things changed and there was no time and I'm sorry." Taylor stammered.

John looked at Dean for a moment. His blood pressure was so high that his skull threatened to split.

"What was your plan if Taylor didn't get you back into your body?" Dean asked.

Kate shivered. "He'd be able to cure Andy."

"I don't care about the cure. I am asking you, when you killed yourself, what was your plan to make sure that you came back?" Dean pushed.

Kate blinked slowly. Her stomach was in knots.

"Did you have a plan or did you gamble your life?" Dean asked.

Kate shifted.

"Why did you wait so long to get back into your body?" Dean asked.

Taylor knew but wasn't going to say anything. She was supposed to pop back into her body right away but she couldn't. He was able to pull her back to her body but it was after she lost the ability to do so herself.

"I... I told Tessa I'd go." Kate said slowly. "I didn't return though. I got Taylor the message and then tried to come back. I ... I couldn't." Kate said.

"So why didn't Taylor help earlier?" Dean asked.

"He didn't know." Kate said.

Dean cracked his knuckles. "When you checked on her, did you know she was going to die?"

Taylor couldn't talk.

"I made it sound like I'd be gone for a few seconds." Kate said.

John answered a call from Bobby. "Hello?"

"Sam is awake." Bobby said.

John closed his eyes. "So are Kate and Andy."

"Sam wants to talk to Kate." Bobby said.

John put the phone on speaker. "Go for it."

Sam's voice was hoarse. "Kate?"

"You're on sp- ow." Kate whined when Dean smacked her again.

Sam palmed his head. "I really need to talk to just Kate."

"Kate is about to get her ass handed to her so maybe you should just go ahead and say what you were going to say." John said.

Sam gave Bobby a look. "I had a vision. I just wanted to know what it was about."

Kate bit her lip. "Tessa?"

Sam sighed. "Yeah, she came to me."

"She told you?" Kate asked.

"Told you what?" Dean asked.

"Every time Kate dies, she burns part of her soul."
