Branch looked at the work in progress and nodded in satisfaction.
"Perfect."
The teal troll was adding mushrooms when a pepperoni slice hit him.
"Huh-"
Another slice came at his cheek. Poppy's playful eyes taunted him.
Branch narrowed his eyes. "Bring it on."
They gathered ammo and pelted each other. Cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms flew around the kitchen.
The Pop Queen's eyes landed upon the jar of tomato sauce.
"You're done, Branchifer!"
"Poppy, wait-"
The jar exploded.
Both started laughing.
They kissed, faces covered with sauce.
"Let's get this in the oven," said Poppy. "Then we're gonna have a shower."
Branch's face turned redder.
