Author's note: I am slowly catching typos and errors. I'll be going back to fix those. I didn't stop to give good descriptions of my OC's. Andy, in my head, looks a lot like Opie from Andy Griffith. Ian would just be a smaller, darker haired version of him.

"He was possessed?" Dean asked.

"Yes but I don't think he did anything while possessed. I mean, he watched Andy but I didn't feel anything evil." Kate said.

"So a stalker isn't evil?" Dean asked.

"I didn't say that. I just didn't feel like he had harmed anyone." Kate said.

"Somehow that is creepier."

"Maybe it is a good thing Caleb is staying over there." Kate said.

"I was thinking that myself."

Caleb and Andy carried pizza and drinks into the house.

April helped Andy. "That smells really good."

Caleb sat the pizzas down on the counter and turned to put his keys on the key rack. He saw Ian reaching for the boxes and barely caught the top one before it fell on his head.

Ian bounced happily and clapped his hands.

April pulled a slice from one of the boxes and cut it into smaller bites. She fanned it with another plate and put it on Ian's highchair.

Andy knelt in his chair and blew on his own pizza. He carefully opened his sprite and giggled when he took a sip. "It is so fizzy."

April smiled. "Soda usually is."

Caleb got the message from Dean and furrowed his brows. Why would a demon still be watching Andy? Was he in danger?

"How old are you?" Andy asked.

Caleb put his phone away. "Well, I am 22."

"Are you and Dean like twins?" Andy asked.

Caleb chuckled. "We have different parents. I am a month and two days older than Dean though. I made sure he knew that when we were teenagers."

"Did John adopt you?" Andy asked.

Caleb rubbed his face. "Not exactly. He didn't adopt me like he did with Kate and Taylor. He let me hang out with them a lot."

April nudged Andy to get him to stop asking so many questions.

Andy scooted away from her. "When is your birthday?"

April cleared her throat. "Andy."

Caleb gave her a small smile. "December 22nd."

"That is almost Christmas!" Andy said with excitement.

Caleb nodded. "When is yours?"

Andy sighed. "March 13th."

"That isn't so far away. What about you and Ian?" Caleb asked.

"Ian turned one September 9th and my birthday is in June."

Andy chewed his pizza. "She's kinda old now."

Caleb scrunched his nose. "That makes me kinda old too."

Andy shrugged. "It happens."

Kate had a pit in her stomach but knew not to ask John about his plan again. He was a professional. He had an angel on his side. It didn't matter though. He wouldn't let Dean or Caleb go so he sure as hell wouldn't let her go. However, at some point, he was just going to have to accept that she had abilities that made her an excellent hunter. She had dreams all night and knew before she went downstairs that John had left before the sun began to come up.

"Stop chewing your fingers." Dean said.

Kate moved her hand away from her mouth. "Good morning."

Dean reached for her hand and turned it over. "Do I need to get you a chew toy?"

Kate rolled her eyes. "No."

"He will be okay." Dean said.

Kate sat down and put her head on the table. "What if he isn't?"

Bobby snorted. "You challenged him yesterday. If he isn't careful and gets himself caught in a sticky situation, he'd only be proving you right. So, you can be sure that he is taking every precaution he can."

Kate perked up. "That is a really good point."

"I think, the only reason you get away with a fraction of the crap you do is that you are the only person that rivals his level of hard headedness." Dean said.

"You act like I haven't gotten my butt kicked by him." Kate said.

Dean raised an eyebrow. "One time I rolled my eyes while his back was turned and he knocked me into the next week."

Kate scoffed. "That is dramatic."

Dean ruffled her hair. "Maybe."

School was a bust. Kate couldn't handle her anxiety and lack of word from John was driving her crazy.

Castiel entered the house. There didn't seem to be any movement around the house. Perhaps Mary had left. He entered the basement and heard growling. Mary hadn't left. She was still in the house and rabid.

John got out of the truck when Castiel waved to him. "Did you find her?"

"I did. I'd like for you to take a look at this." Castiel said.

John followed him. The growling caused his hair to stand on end. He heard chains clinking and used a flashlight to see where Mary was. "Did she do this to herself?"

Castiel couldn't be sure. "It appears so."

Mary had several layers of duct tape around her mouth and chains on her ankles, hands, and around her waist.

John stayed away from her in case the chains broke. "Maybe she had enough wits left to chain herself up."

Castiel studied her. "I do not believe she has fed."

"A vampire doesn't turn into a full-fledged vampire until they feed." John said.

Mary pulled against the chains.

John stumbled back when she lunged and then suddenly he was outside.

"She is loose," Castiel said.

John was aware of how quickly they moved but the human eye struggled to keep up. "If she hasn't fed, the chances of healing her are higher." He called Marty to ask if he had any new updates on a cure.

Marty didn't have a definite answer.

Dean jumped when his phone rang. "Dad?"

"Dean, Matt's sister is in the house. It looks like she tied herself up. Can you ask Kate about how to fix this?" John asked.

"Kate or older Kate?" Dean asked.

"I don't care. Figure it out." John said gruffly.

Dean threw his hands up and schooled his tone. "Yes, sir."

Kate's heart stopped beating when the secretary called her name over the intercom. Her hands were shakey and she had to shove them into her pockets to keep from chewing her fingers.

Mrs. Ray pushed a button on her phone and held it out for Kate. "Your brother."

Kate licked her lips. "Hello?"

"Hey, not a crisis." Dean said.

Kate finally took a breath. "What is it then?"

"They found her. She was in the house and hasn't fed. Do you have an idea for a cure?" Dean asked.

Kate hid her excitement from Mrs. Ray. "I must have picked it up when I grabbed my binder from the table. Do you need it before school ends?"

Dean smirked. Kate was excellent with coded language. "Yeah. I'll stop by."

Kate went back to her class and wrote a detailed note with a drawing. She walked quickly back to the office and waited for Dean. "Sorry about that."

Dean side hugged her. "No problem. I'll just get this mailed off."

Kate was jittery. What if her idea didn't work? What if it made things worse? How were they going to manage giving it to her? She had no idea how she was going to focus during school if her mind was focused on healing a mutated vampire.

Taylor was equally as antsy. He heard Kate's name and knew it was important. As soon as lunchtime hit, he found Kate. "Why did they call you?"

"They found her." Kate paused while people walked by. "Dean is going to the lab."

Taylor brightened. "That is good news, right?"

"I don't know. I couldn't ask what I wanted to." Kate said.

"I'm sure Dean will update us." Taylor said.

"Not soon enough. Have I mentioned my thoughts on school?" Kate asked.

Taylor smiled. "You have."

Dean sped over to the lab after talking to Matt. "Marty, can you read the note Kate wrote?"

Marty read through the note and smiled. "She is remarkable."

Dean looked at the paper. "I think she threw in the big words to mess with me."

Marty chuckled. "The big words make it possible to say things in fewer words."

"Can you do what she is talking about?" Dean asked.

Marty grabbed supplies. "Yes. Now, I don't know if it will do what you want it to do but I can synthesize it."

"It is worth a try. I can get lunch for you."

Marty nodded. He wrote down his order and handed it to Dean. "Make sure they put the pickles on the side."

Dean drove over to the diner. He walked in and met Lacy's smile with one of his own.

Lacy kissed him. "What brings you by here?"

"Do I need a reason to stop by?" Dean asked.

"No. What can I do for you?" Lacy asked.

Dean pulled her to him. "So so much. That has to wait though. I am picking up a lunch order."

Lacy read the paper. "I'll put this in. Then, I can sit and chat on my break."

Dean sat in one of the booths and drummed his fingers on the table.

Lacy brought him a coffee and sat down. "You've been busy."

Dean sipped the coffee. "I have. I was thinking, this weekend I could slow down."

Lacy smiled. "What if I am busy this weekend?"

Dean raised an eyebrow.

They spoke softly until Marty's order was done.

Lacy grabbed the bag.

"That looks like more than a burger," Dean said.

Lacy kissed his cheek. "I threw in something extra for you."

Dean sniffed the bag. "Bacon cheese fries?"

Lacy smiled. "I know the way to your heart."

Dean kissed her again. "Yeah, you do."

John watched the house while he read through his journal. Creatures didn't just crop up overnight. Nearly every kind of supernatural creature had been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Were these creatures truly manmade?

Marty finished his part of the job. "I would love to witness the outcome of this."

Dean scoffed. "You and me both." He knew John wasn't going to let anyone anywhere near the action. He looked through Bobby's stash of weapons and found a tranq gun. "This should work." He walked outside and put the gun and a small box on the railing of the porch. "Cas, I'm at Bobby's. The package is ready for pickup."

Cas appeared. "What are the instructions."

Dean pointed to the gun. "Load that with the first vial. Then, aim and shoot. Dad will know what to do with it. I don't know how close you can get to her."

Castiel nodded and vanished.

Dean sat down on the porch swing. He thought back to when Kate arrived, years prior. Her dad left. His dad was gone too. They spent weeks not knowing if he was even alive. Somehow, this felt the same. They didn't have an angel back then, though. They had an angel. Dean pulled his jacket tighter across his chest. They had an actual angel. He hadn't believed in angels for years, after what happened to his mother. However, he was so used to it now. If he slowed down and thought about Kate and Taylor, his mind spiraled. To him, they were just Kate and Taylor. Sometimes, he forgot that they were powerful enough to concern angels. They were still kids. Yet, one day they would be strong enough to take down an archangel. He rubbed his face. Someone gave him the keys to contain them and he didn't feel qualified.

Bobby opened the front door. "Are you going to stay out here?"

Dean sighed. He got up and stretched before following Bobby inside.

"What is the plan?"

"Cas took the vials to the house. I sent the tranq gun in case Cas can't get close enough." Dean said.

"I know you want to be out there." Bobby said.

"Wanting doesn't give me anything." Dean said.

"No, but I can understand. Your dad has your best interests in mind but doesn't always take into account that you are just as good of a hunter as he is."

Dean scoffed. "Now, I don't know about that."

"Give yourself a few years." Bobby said.

Dean sat down and rocked back in a chair. "Things have gotten weird."

Bobby nodded and sat down. "It makes me wonder what the next few years will hold."

Dean groaned. "I have a bad feeling teenage shenanigans that make me look like a respectable citizen."

Bobby chuckled. "What makes you think that."

Dean rocked forward. "When I talked to older Kate, she insinuated that there would be some more stupid decision making."

"I will regret saying this but I think they both need some time to be the normal kind of dumb teenagers." Bobby said.

Dean smirked. "When they go off and take a bat to someone's mailbox or sneak out, you're going to eat those words."

"I'd prefer that over demon deals and blood oaths."

Dean sighed. "Me too."

John let Castiel enter the house without him. Castiel could phase in and out of his human form and escape Mary's lunges. John couldn't. He heard a chilling screech and got closer to the door.

Cas slipped back outside and handed the first empty vial to John.

"Did you get it?" John asked.

Castiel took a deep breath. "Barely."

They waited for the growling and screeching to stop before going inside. John held a bright flashlight above his gun and kept his back to the wall. He heard rustling and motioned for Castiel to check it out.

Castiel turned the light on and Mary looked up and growled at him. However, she didn't turn from the light. Her eyes were still green and her actions were animalistic. "John, get out of the house."

John barely made it out before Mary slammed into the door. "I thought they didn't like light!"

"Maybe it has something to do with the vial." Castiel said.

"Is it making her stronger?" John asked. He hit the ground as a window shattered and Mary fled from the house. He scrambled and managed to shoot her in the back with the tranq gun.

Mary continued to run towards the trees.

Castiel vanished to catch up with her.

John held the last vial in his hand. If this didn't work, they had made her stronger and therefore more dangerous.

Castiel spotted Mary and watched her. She was manic and confused. Her posture was less animalistic and more human. Could it be working?

Kate was balancing on a log at recess when a vision hit her.

Taylor ran over when Ellie yelled for him. He knelt beside Kate. She must have hit her head when she fell off the log.

Kate slowly opened her eyes to several pairs of eyes staring at her. She was inside the building and the light above her was flickering. She tried to sit up but the school nurse told her to rest. "Taylor?"

Taylor put a hand on her. "Right here. Dean is on his way."

Kate squinted her eyes. She pushed into Taylor's head and winced.

Taylor understood what she was trying to tell him and cleared his throat. "Can I look outside to see if he is here?"

The nurse told him that would be okay.

He stepped outside the school and called John. "Kate had a vision I think. She said 'brainstem'. She hit her head really hard so she couldn't relay information that well."

John looked at the vial in his hand. "Is that all she said."

"Yes but sometimes when we push into each other's heads, we pass along understanding." Taylor said. He saw Dean's car and waved.

John mumbled something and hung up.

Dean got out and ran to the door. "What happened?"

"She was fine and then hit the ground." Taylor said.

Dean followed Taylor to the nurse's office. He talked to the nurse briefly before lifting Kate.

"I can walk." Kate said.

"I can carry you." Dean replied in a tone that said she didn't have a choice.

Everything was loud. "I think I have a concussion."

Dean put her in the backseat. "I think so too. We are going to go to Bobby's."

Kate opened her eyes. "I need to call John."

Taylor sat beside her. "I already did."

Kate held her head. She wasn't sure if it was the fall or the force of the vision that hurt.

John called Castiel back to him. "Do you think you can restrain her?"

Castiel wasn't sure since she had changed.

"I have to be careful giving this to her. Kate had a vision." John said.

Castiel worked with John on a plan before searching for Mary again. He threw a sack over her head and wrapped her in the chains. He brought her back to the house and John helped restrain her more.

John hoped the chains held. He felt along the base of her skull but she was moving too much. "Hold her still." He carefully jabbed her and pushed the end of the syringe.

Mary stopped moving. Her limbs went limp and she stopped growling.

John had a feeling that being stabbed in the brain had a high chance of killing pretty much anything.

Castiel moved his hands. He was confused by the sudden stillness.

"Is she alive?" John asked.

Castiel hovered his hand over Mary's chest. "Yes."

John sent a message to update Dean but it took two hours before any noticeable changes were seen.

Mary moved her fingers and then her hand. It was like watching someone come out of a coma. She whimpered instead of growling.

Castiel heard her heart beat stronger. "Mary, can you hear me?"

Mary stiffened. She had no idea where she was or why she couldn't move her body. "Drink."

John moved to get a blood bag from his duffle. He gave it to Cas and stood back.

Mary took a sip and then gagged. She fought the chains and turned her head to throw up.

John's eyes were wide. He wasn't expecting that.

Mary threw up again. "Water."

Castiel removed some of the chains while John got some water. "Please understand that I cannot completely unchain you."

Mary was in so much pain that she didn't care. "Where am I?"

"In your home."

Mary's eyes widened. "Where are my children?"

"They are safe. So is Matt." John answered.

Mary sipped the water as her memory came back. She sobbed openly.

"They are in South Dakota." John added.

"What?" Mary asked.

"Do you remember being sick?"

Mary nodded. Her stomach growled loudly.

"Matt drove to South Dakota so that my family could help him." John said.

Mary saw John's duffle and her eyes widened "You are a hunter!"

"I am but Matt is okay. We know that he doesn't feed on humans." John said.

"Just donated blood." Mary said.

"We know." John said.

Castiel checked Mary and was certain that the infection was gone.

John offered Mary the blood bag. "Your stomach keeps growling."

Mary gagged again.

John and Mary met eyes and realized what happened at the same time. "You're human."

Mary felt of her gums. "I'm human."

Castiel brought John and Mary back to Sioux Falls.

Kate ignored Dean telling her to wait and ran out of the house. She was still dizzy. She wrapped her arms around Mary and hugged her.

Mary was not sure what to do. "Hi?"

Dean joined them. "She's the one who came up with the concoction that cured you."

Mary bent and hugged Kate back.

Kate felt the warmth in her skin. "You are human, right?"

Mary smiled. "I am."

Kate looked at Taylor. "I couldn't get that part out."

Dean called Caleb and told him to get Matt and the kids to Bobby's house as soon as possible.

Matt rounded up the kids and jumped into the car.

Dean met them outside. "She is inside. Just, before you go, know that she isn't quite the way you remember her."

Matt took a shakey breath. He didn't care as long as she was alive and not one of those creatures.

Alana and Brandon sprinted inside and wrapped themselves around Mary. "Mom!"

Matt stepped into the house and froze. He heard a heartbeat that he hadn't heard in a very long time. "Mary?"

Mary was teary-eyed. "Matt."

Matt approached and touched her face. "You are..."

Mary wiped tears from her face. "I'm human."

Alana gasped. "You aren't a vampire?"

Mary shook her head.

"Told you she was going to be different." Dean said.

"How?" Matt asked.

"Kate." John answered.

Matt looked around. "Where is she?"

Kate groaned. "In here." She got up and joined them in the living room.

Castiel approached Kate and placed a hand on her head. He healed her and then removed his hand.

Kate blinked and cracked her neck. "Much better."

"Why didn't you heal yourself?" Dean asked.

Kate winced. "I'm pretty sure knocking your head makes it difficult to do mind tricks."

Mary's stomach growled again. She looked at Matt who had turned his head toward her.

Dean brought her a sandwich. "Bobby is working on dinner."

Mary bit into the sandwich and swallowed slowly. It had been a long time since she had enjoyed human food.

Kate got Alana and Brandon away from Mary so that Matt could have a moment with her.

"Are you angry?" Mary asked.

Matt sat beside her. "No, of course not. I am so grateful that you are okay. I thought..."

"I'm here." Mary said.

Matt held her hand. Her skin was warm and her blood pulsed through the veins on her hand. "You are human."

"Maybe you could be human too." Mary said.

Matt hadn't considered that. "That would be wonderful."

Caleb was sitting at Bobby's table when Mary found him.

"Thank you for saving Alana."

Caleb blushed. "I didn't really do anything."

Mary shook her head. "She is alive and well."

Matt wanted to get back to the house and back to normal for the kids' sake. "Do you think you can travel?"

Mary was feeling better after eating. "What about the darkness?"

"We can sleep tonight and I can drive back. We will arrive in the daytime." Matt said.

They were sent off with two bags for Matt and a bag of food for the others.

Caleb clapped Dean on the back. "I'd say that is a good ending to that hunt."

Kate looked at John and smirked. "Aren't you glad you listened to Dean for once?"

John raised an eyebrow at her. "I'm glad that you listened for once."

Kate huffed. "You got lucky she was tied up, to begin with."

John walked by her and squeezed her shoulder. "Take the win without the attitude."

Kate flopped down on the couch. "It is like he doesn't even know me."

Dean smacked her leg. "I'm going to stop taking up for you."

Kate rolled her eyes. "No, you won't."

Caleb chuckled. "Sucker."

Dean shoved Caleb away from him. "Run back over to your new family."

Caleb tossed his keys in the air and caught them. "Good luck," He said and motioned toward Kate. "With that."

April smiled when Caleb walked through the door. "How did it go?"

"Not only did they get Mary back, they got her back as a human." Caleb said.

"Wow! I didn't know that was possible." April said.

"I didn't either." Caleb said.

Andy heard Caleb and darted into the living room. "You are back!"

Caleb accepted the hug and put an arm around Andy. He chuckled. "What is on your face?"

Andy tried to wipe his face but smeared more grease onto his face with his hand.

Caleb wiped it with his thumb and then looked at the substance. He looked at Andy with a hard glare.

Andy fidgeted.

"What is it?" April asked.

"Did this come from my duffle?" Caleb asked.

Andy shot April a look. "No."

"Did it come from something in the duffle?" Caleb asked.

Andy looked down at his feet.

Caleb went to April's room and saw his opened duffle on the bed. "Andy!"

April entered the room with Andy. "Did you open that?"

Andy licked his lips.

Caleb looked through the duffle. "Did you take anything out?"

Andy shook his head quickly. "I just looked inside and got that stuff on my hand."

April swatted him six times before pointing to the bed.

Andy sniffled and sat down. "I'm sorry."

Caleb put the duffle on a high shelf and traded looks with April. "Do you want a spanking like the one you got from John?"

Andy shook his head. "No!"

"If you ever touch a weapon or weapons bag again, you'll get one." Caleb said. "I shouldn't have left it out but you knew not to look at it or you wouldn't have run from the room when I got here." He sighed. "There are knives and other things in there. If one day I mess up and forget to unload a gun or something else and you go looking through the bag, you could accidentally fire it."

Andy nodded. "I'm really sorry."

April touched Andy's back. "Go wash your face and then go to your room. One of us will let you know when you can come out."

Andy frowned and did as he was told.

April sat down on the bed and put her head in her hands.

Caleb patted her.

"I am so sorry." April said.

"No, I am sorry." Caleb said.

"He knows not to mess with that stuff." April said.

"It looks cool and it is all something that I mess with." Caleb said.

"Still, he shouldn't have touched it." April said.

"No, but he will learn." Caleb said. "I touched stuff I wasn't supposed to." He said with a smirk.

"Weapons?" April asked.

Caleb cringed. "A time or two."

April lightened a little. "Why did you make that face?"

"My dad may have lit me up over it." Caleb said. He kissed the top of April's head. "I want to help. I think a lot of Andy but I do not want to overstep. Hunter's kind of all do the same thing and don't stop to think that other people don't."

April shook her head. "It is really okay." She gave him a small smile. "Can you talk to him?"

Caleb chuckled. "Is that you taking the easy way out?"

April smiled. "No, you just know so much more about guns."

Caleb knocked on Andy's door and let himself in.

Andy sat up on his bed. "I'm really sorry."

Caleb sighed. "I know." He sat down and patted the spot next to him. "I am used to being with other hunters or by myself. I shouldn't have left that on the bed."

Andy studied his hands.

"I know you have been told how dangerous weapons are but sometimes, when you are little, you may not fully understand." Caleb said. "Those weapons are meant to kill creatures. I'm talking vampires and werewolves. What do you think they'd do to a kid?"

"They'd get really hurt." Andy said.

"Right. You are important and we don't want you to get really hurt." Caleb said.

"I promise I won't touch them again." Andy said.

Caleb nodded. "Good because I meant what I said."

Andy frowned.

"When you grow up the way we did, you have to be more careful. Dean isn't nearly as harsh as his dad is. I'm not going to be as harsh as my own dad was. However, you better bet if one of us finds you with a gun or knife, you'll regret it." Caleb said.

Andy crossed his heart. "I promise."

Caleb ruffled his hair. "Let's go help your mom."

Andy jumped off his bed and found April. "Sorry mama."

April kissed his cheek. "Do you think you can handle putting those pans away?"

Andy nodded and got to work.

### ###

A week slipped by. Christmas was getting closer and hunters were less active due to snow.

"Marie has asked us to do Christmas at her house." Dean said.

Taylor grinned. "Christmas with them is the best!"

Dean patted his stomach. "She makes Christmas cookies doesn't she?"

Taylor nodded.

Dean pumped his arm and hissed. "Yes."

"Their house has less supernatural stuff too. So, the little kids can be safer." Kate said.

Bobby grumbled.

"I'm just saying." Kate said.

"Are you ready for school?" Bobby asked.

Kate groaned. "No."

He looked at her and raised both eyebrows.

Kate spun on her heel. She looked over her shoulder. "I love your house."

Bobby smirked. "Just go get ready."

John had a big case and needed supplies. Dean took over rounding things up to take to him.

Bobby redid the research and made sure that everything they knew was up to date. Matt hadn't said anything about the creatures but it had only been a week.

Caleb made a few trips to Bobby's house throughout the day. "I wouldn't mind going on this hunt."

Dean shot him a look. "I'm going."

"Your car seats two people." Caleb said. He got a call from April that she had gotten Ian a doctor's appointment and asked if he could get Andy from school. "Scratch that."

Dean didn't tease Caleb. He got it. He truly did.

Andy was stoked that Caleb got to pick him up. "Are we going home?"

"No, I have to take something to Bobby's house." Caleb said.

Andy liked Bobby's house. "Is Ian okay?"

"Yeah, I think he just has a virus or something." Caleb said.

Kate and Taylor took the bus home and walked up the driveway.

Kate ran away to grill Dean on what precautions he was going to take on that particular hunt.

Taylor saw Andy running around outside and started to walk toward him.

Andy followed Caleb inside and grabbed a snack from the kitchen.

Caleb went back outside to get another box and saw Kate and Dean. "This is the last of what I have."

Dean looked in the box. "That will work."

Taylor went inside and put his backpack down. He pulled his boots off and hung up his jacket. "Hey, Bobby."

Bobby looked up from a book. "Hey."

Taylor went to the kitchen to get a drink and saw Andy. "Hey, Andy."

Andy gasped and jumped.

Taylor heard an unmistakable sound and froze. "Andy, don't move."

Andy looked at his hands and then at Taylor.

"Don't. Move." Taylor said as he slowly approached him.

The front door opened and Andy's eyes got wider.

"Guys stay out!" Taylor yelled.

Caleb slowly walked toward the kitchen.

Taylor held his hand out. "Stay out."

Caleb held up both hands so that Taylor knew he wasn't reacting. "What is wrong?"

Taylor looked at him. "I scared him and he pulled the pin."

Caleb's eyes landed on Andy's hands and he also froze.

Andy started to panic and moved.

Taylor got closer to him. "I'm going to take that out of your hand. Do not move until I take it."

Andy nodded and stayed still.

Taylor carefully took the grenade from his hand and nodded for Andy to go.

Andy ran out the front door and smacked into Dean.

Caleb carefully opened the back door for Taylor. "I'll take it."

Taylor shook his head. "It shouldn't go off but I can keep a shield around it. I'm going to take it out to the sinkhole."

Caleb went back through the house to let Dean know what was going on.

Dean ran around the house to Taylor and left Caleb at the front door.

Kate had Andy and was trying to calm him down.

"Andrew." Caleb ground out.

Andy shook his head and buried his face in Kate's jacket.

Bobby walked outside. "What is going on?"

Caleb took a deep breath and flinched when an explosion echoed through the trees.

Bobby spun around and looked toward the sinkhole.

Dean called Caleb immediately to tell him that it was okay. "I can't say I'm thrilled with how that went down but I forgot how awesome grenades are."

Caleb let out a huge breath and told Kate and Bobby that everything was okay.

Bobby still wasn't sure what happened.

Caleb cleared his throat. "Andy."

Andy's heart was in his throat. "It wasn't a gun or knife."
