April got released from the hospital with a filled prescription and an appointment to follow up with her doctor. She was antsy to get back to the boys.
Andy had woken up when Ian did and enjoyed the quiet morning. He got all the attention he wanted and Ian didn't cry all morning. He looked out the window and jumped up and down. "Bobby! Look, my mom is here."
Bobby opened the door and held Andy back until the truck was parked.
Andy jumped and hugged April.
April barely caught him. She was still weak and he was getting heavy.
Andy bounced on his toes. "Are you okay, mama?"
"Yes. I have some new medication. Did you have fun spending the night with Bobby and Karen?" April asked.
Andy nodded enthusiastically. He saw Caleb and went to hug him.
Caleb picked Andy up and threw him over his shoulder. He spun twice and patted the back of Andy's leg. "Were you good?"
Andy giggled wildly. "Yes!"
Caleb carried him inside and dropped him on the couch.
April said hello to both Bobby and Karen. "Where is Ian?"
"He just fell asleep." Karen said. "I would have kept him up but I didn't realize you'd be here."
April was, honestly, exhausted.
Karen opened the bedroom door so April could take a peek at Ian. Millie was on one side of him and Liam was on the other side.
April smiled. "Well, he looks cozy."
Bobby poured coffee for April and Caleb. "What did the doctor say?"
April blushed. "I need to do better about eating enough and taking my medication."
Caleb squeezed her hand.
Karen sat down with them. "Did either of you get any sleep?"
Caleb yawned. "A little bit."
"Why don't you go home and get some sleep? We can bring the boys by later." Karen said.
Andy frowned.
Bobby put a hand on the top of his head. "I'm sure we could find something to do."
Caleb asked April what she thought. She did need some rest. He would have stayed up and looked after the boys but he also didn't want to pass up a free babysitting opportunity. "We may take you up on that offer."
Bobby walked outside with them. "I'll need Ian's car seat."
Caleb swapped it to Bobby's car. "I can unstrap it when you drop them off."
Bobby cleared his throat. "Would you mind if I took Andy out to show him how to use a slingshot?"
Caleb checked with April to confirm that it was okay. "Just remind him about touching weapons without an adult."
Bobby chuckled. "I will."

Castiel and John went back to the house to see what kind of damage had been done. Castiel surveyed the area. "This is from Katelyn?"
"Yes." John said. "I don't know exactly what happened but when I got to her, she was covered in hell hound blood and in the center of this mess."
Castiel nodded. "This is why I could not get close enough to help."
"That was so far away from here. Dean and Taylor were okay. People in town were okay." John said.
"People can also pass through a devil's trap without getting stuck." Castiel said.
"So the blast only affected angels?" John asked.
"I have no way of knowing." Cas said.
John documented the area with a camera and a notebook. It started hitting him just how close they all had been to becoming hound chow. Dean had some cuts that would heal soon enough. It did make him wonder if the hound was trying to kill him or just scratch him. Either way, he was glad that the hound was gone, or at least in pieces. "Do you think that you could get some photos from above the trees?"
Castiel did as he requested.
John looked at the center where Kate had been standing. The hellhound must have been on top of her because the blood was sprayed in all directions around the center. She must have been so terrified. Just seeing the aftermath made John's heart beat a little faster. He used a stick to poke at the ground and turn over leaves and limbs. He spotted a few smoldering lumps that resembled coal. "What are these?"
Castiel held his hand out for one of them. "I am unsure. I have never seen something of this sort."
John placed a few lumps in a bag and sealed it.
Kate was curled up on the couch beside Dean when they returned. She was so exhausted but couldn't sleep. Fear and guilt swirled in her head and prevented her from resting.
Dean tried brushing her hair back and soothing her but her eyes stayed open.
Taylor just wanted to help. He felt a little useless since he hadn't been able to help with the hound. He used Missouri's phone book to call around to see if any scrapyards had a window that would fit a 1967 Chevy Impala. He called three different numbers with no success. The fourth number was a different story. "Really? 1967 right? Yes, sir." Taylor wrote down the information and thanked him a few times.
Dean met eyes with Taylor as he slid around the corner.
"I took the liberty of calling a few places and this guy." He said and held up the paper. "Has an intact, rear window for a 1967 Impala."
Dean leaned forward to take the paper. "Where is this?"
"I think it is about an hour from here." Taylor said.
Dean gave him a smile. "Let me call dad and we can see if we can pick it up."
When John got back to Missouri's house he recognized the area that the junkyard was in. "Yeah, we can swing by there."
It was in the opposite direction to the bunker so Dean decided to stay with Kate. He spoke quietly to John. "She can't sleep. She has been glued to my side. Just take Taylor. I'll stay here with her."
John checked on Kate before they left. "I want you to try to get some sleep."
Kate just nodded.
Castiel stayed long enough to heal Dean and then had to leave.
Before Taylor left with John he remembered the bag of clothes. He pulled a second flannel from the bag and handed it to Kate.
Dean unfolded it. "You got her a matching one."
Taylor smiled. "Yes, it may be a little big."
Kate gave him a small smile. "Thanks, Taylor."
Taylor ran outside and jumped into the truck. "How many times have the windows been replaced?"
John snorted. "Too many times.
Missouri made some tea for Kate that would help her relax. She made some for Dean as well.
Dean was worried about Kate. He didn't have a good idea about what she did or what she saw. He was sitting on the couch and wanted to lean back so that she could put her head on him. He lifted his foot and then sat it down.
Missouri chuckled. "You can put your feet on the coffee table, but just this once."
Dean thanked her. He got situated and then put a pillow on his leg so that Kate could lay her head down. "Do you want me to tell you a story?"
Kate nodded. "A real one about when you were little."
Dean thought about which story he wouldn't regret telling her. "If I tell you something incriminating, you cannot turn around and say 'well no one told me that was a bad idea'."
Kate smiled. "Okay."

Karen stayed inside to keep an ear out for Ian.
Bobby grabbed a slingshot and took Andy outside.
"Are you gonna let me use that?" Andy asked.
Bobby chuckled. "Yes but only while I am right next to you. I'll need you to follow directions."
Andy bounced. "I will. I promise."
Bobby picked a few rocks from the driveway and showed Andy how to pull back and launch the rock.
Andy tried it but the band was harder to pull than he thought it would be. He got the hang of it and was very proud of himself.
"Okay, see if you can hit that target." Bobby said.
Andy held the tip of his tongue at the side of his mouth as he concentrated. He hit the large target and grinned.
Karen looked outside and smiled warmly. Bobby was wonderful with children, even if he didn't think he was. She thought about Lauren and what she must have gone through after she went missing. Was she taken or did she leave? She was so happy so why would she leave? Why didn't she tell anyone? Did she remember her family? If Andy's biological mother was Lauren, then that meant that Andy was Karen's nephew. She heard Ian's little voice and opened the bedroom door.
Ian's cheeks were red from the nap. He patted Millie's side and smiled when he saw Karen.
"Did you have a good nap?" Karen asked. She put a jacket on him and a pair of shoes. "Let's go see what brother is doing."
Andy hit the target a few more times. He was excited to show Karen his new skills.
Karen told him that he was doing well and ruffled his hair. "Are you hungry?"
Andy looked down at his stomach. "A little."
"I'll get lunch started." Karen said.
Bobby told her it was okay to leave Ian with them. He kept an eye on him and made sure that Andy didn't get distracted while using the slingshot. He gave him a few more minutes before announcing that it was time to go inside.
Andy handed over the slingshot. "Thank you for teaching me."
Bobby smiled. "Any time." He scooped Ian up and carried him to the house.
Ian protested. He liked being outside.
Bobby assured him that they wouldn't be inside forever. He let him go and chuckled when he got sidetracked with one of his toys.
Karen was almost done with food and asked Andy to go wash his hands.
"I can help with the table too!" Andy said and ran up the stairs.
Bobby looked at the stove and smelled of the steam coming from the pot. "That smells delicious."
Karen kissed his cheek. "I know it is one of your favorites."
Bobby turned and gently scolded Ian. "No, no. That will hurt you."
Ian dropped the cord in his hand and melted to the floor.
Karen had heard Bobby and he didn't even remotely raise his voice. She chuckled slightly. "You broke his heart."
Bobby tried to stand Ian up but the boy was committed to the drama.
Ian gave Bobby the saddest face and ran to Karen for comfort.
"I think he may have a future in acting." Bobby said with a chuckle.
Andy skipped into the kitchen. "What did he do?"
"He was just messing with a cord." Bobby said.
Andy sighed in exasperation. "He got in trouble for that already."
"We will just have to watch him then." Karen said. She had Ian on her hip and gave him a warm roll. That seemed to cure his heartbreak.

Taylor dozed off while John drove. He was getting his strength back but the whole ordeal was wearing on him.
John found the place and parked. He introduced himself to the owner and motioned for Taylor to do the same.
The man was extraordinarily nice and happy that he had what they needed. "Just head on back. Take what you need and then come see me."
John found the car and whistled. "She has seen some better days."
Taylor tapped the windows. "Maybe but she has windows!"
John chuckled. He used the tools that the owner provided and removed the window they needed.
"Should we take some of the other windows?" Taylor asked.
"Do you plan on breaking more of them?" John asked.
"Oh, no sir. I .. well.. it is an older car that is hard to find parts for."
John smirked. "Taylor, I understand. Go ask how much this is going to be first."
Taylor ran up to the main building and knocked on the door.
The owner, Herb, greeted him. "Are you ready to check out?"
"No, sir. We were wondering how much the window would cost. We may need more than one thing from the car." Taylor said.
Herb rocked back in his chair. "Does your dad have an Impala?"
"Well, he used to. He gifted it to my oldest brother when he started driving." He looked down at his shoes. "I accidentally broke the window that we are trying to replace. I don't plan on doing that again but he might be happier if we get a few things for later."
"I'll tell you what, I'll make it an even hundred and you can strip the car for whatever you need." Herb said.
Taylor's eyes lit up. "That is very generous of you."
"That car has been sitting out there for too long. It was a beautiful car in its prime."
"My brother keeps his in mint condition. He wasn't happy when the window got broken." Taylor admitted.
Herb knew how that went. "Let your dad know and tell him to come talk to me if need be."
Taylor thanked him and ran back to where John was. "So, he said he'd take a hundred."
John carefully wrapped the window. "For the window?"
"For anything we can find in the car that we need." Taylor said.
John stood up. "That is a good deal."
"I told him that you gave Dean the car when he started driving and that I broke the window on accident." Taylor said.
John nodded. "That is a Kate move."
Taylor smiled. "Well, it wasn't a lie. I did do that and I do feel bad about it."
John looked the car over. He called Dean to tell him they'd be a little longer than they expected. By the time they were done, they had three windows and a host of other parts. John tried to give the man some more money but he wouldn't budge. "Thank you."
Herb just nodded. "You are welcome. Hopefully, you won't need those extra windows any time soon."
Taylor blushed and thanked him.
John situated the windows to make sure they wouldn't get broken on the drive.
"Did you tell Dean about the extra parts?" Taylor asked.
"No, I was going to let you show him." John said.
Taylor grinned. "Thanks." He looked out the window for a few minutes. "Uh, is he going to..."
"He and I talked about it. With the hellhound attacking, we both think that you two can learn without the reminder. The extra parts might just help you out." John said.
Taylor slid down in the seat and sighed in relief. "I'm never arguing again."
John snorted. "That would be in your best interests."
Kate listened to Dean's story about Sam being awkward with girls. Sammy was just the sweetest and had a fear of girls until, according to Dean, he met Jess. She was less tense since Cas healed Dean and she felt safe. She pulled her blanket over her face and drifted off to sleep.
Dean leaned his head back on the back of the couch. He'd try to nap while she did. He assumed she'd wake up from a nightmare and the days ahead were going to be long and hard.
Missouri smiled at the duo. He needed her as much as she needed him. She looked through the photos that John snapped. She couldn't fathom how that much destruction could come from someone so small. Missouri was no stranger to abilities. She had a few herself. However, the kids picked up abilities like no one else that she had ever heard of or met. John had confided in her several times and she knew his worries.
Dean woke up and Kate was still sleeping.
Missouri walked into the living room with a cup of coffee.
"I just woke up." Dean said.
Missouri winked. "I know."
Dean sipped the warm liquid. "Do you think she is okay?"
Missouri looked at Kate who was still sleeping. "I guess it all depends on what you mean by okay."
"I don't know what happened when we got zapped away. I don't know what she saw." Dean said.
Missouri brought him the camera. "These are the photos your dad took."
Dean looked through the photos. "All of that is blood. How big was the hound?"
"That is something you would need to ask her." Missouri said.
Kate whimpered sadly and shifted.
Dean pulled her up so he could hold her. He hummed softly and relaxed when she relaxed.
Missouri moved his mug so it wouldn't spill. Kate was still small compared to Dean. She probably would always look tiny next to him. "When is the last time she grew?"
Dean shifted so that he could rest his elbow on the arm of the couch. "She needed new clothes a few months ago."
"She's tall but has she lost weight?" Missouri asked.
Dean furrowed his brows and studied Kate's face. "Maybe." He wasn't sure if the sharpness of her features was from getting older or from losing weight. "Do you think she has?"
"I think it is something you should keep an eye on." Missouri said.
Dean frowned. "I didn't even notice."
"Dean, honey. You have so much on your plate. You aren't going to notice if she drops a few pounds." Missouri said. She decided to steer the conversation away from Kate. "I want to know all about April and her man."
"You have met Caleb." Dean said.
"Yes, I have. I'm just dying to know how things are going for them." Missouri said.
Dean rolled his eyes. "He's pathetic."
Missouri smiled. "Well don't hold out on me."
"She isn't his first relationship. I've watched him fall for people since we were teenagers. She is different though. He looks at her like she is some kind of goddess and those boys have him wrapped." Dean said. He shook his head. "Makes me sick."
Missouri chuckled. "You aren't fooling me, Dean Winchester."
"I'm happy for him. Well, for all of them. He is good for April. Hell, it works for me too because I can be the fun uncle and leave the hellions to Caleb when they are being hellions." Dean said.
"Those boys are too sweet for that." Missouri said.
Dean smirked. "You've heard about Andy pulling a pin out of a grenade right?"
Missouri gasped. "No!"
Dean gave her the rundown of shenanigans and had to chuckle. "Things are a lot funnier when they aren't my problem."
John parked outside Missouri's house and got out.
Taylor ran inside. He saw Kate sleeping and covered his mouth. "I want to show you something."
Dean's arms and legs were going to sleep. He shifted Kate. When she opened her eyes he assured her that he would be back.
Taylor opened the bed of the truck and peeled back part of the cover.
Dean nodded in approval. "Baby is going to be happy."
John leaned against the truck. "You can thank Taylor for buttering the guy up."
Dean clapped Taylor on the back. "I guess I'll have to go easy with that ass-kicking I owe you."
Taylor's eyes grew wide. "But.."
Dean chuckled. "We are good. Don't worry."
Taylor relaxed his shoulders. "Can we go back to the bunker to get it fixed?"
"Yes. I'm not leaving her alone any longer than I have to." Dean said.
Kate was awake when they went back inside. She had an imprint of the buttons on Dean's shirt across the side of her face.
John gave her a small smile. "You look like you slept well."
Kate stretched. "Did you find a window?"
Taylor grinned. "Yup. We found other things too."
"What time is it?" Kate asked.
"4pm," John said. "As determined as we were about you two getting back to school, I think it is safe to say that you will be skipping Monday."
Kate rubbed her eyes. "That was the end goal." She yawned again. "How is your chest?"
Dean looked down the neck of his shirt. "The two deeper ones look like a cat scratch I guess."
Kate curled back up and rested her head on the arm of the couch. "I'm sorry that I couldn't heal you."
Dean sat beside her. "You saved me from getting ripped open."
Kate chewed on her fingers. She saw some black under one of her nails and felt dizzy.
Missouri got a nail kit and cleaned up her nails. "There, much better." She made dinner for them and called a few friends to ask if they could be of assistance.
Dean decided to shower since his chest wasn't open.
John took up the spot that Dean vacated. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay." Kate said.
John studied her. Her eyes were dilated and moving around too much for her to truly be okay. "Kate, be honest."
"I'm really okay." Kate said.
"Except for that fight with Taylor, what did Dean talk to you about the last two times you got into hot water?" John asked.
Kate frowned. "My attitude."
"That is part of it but you hid things until it affected your behavior," John said.
Kate pulled her blanket over her head.
John gently pulled it back down. "You aren't okay and I need to know where your head is at." He looked up at Taylor. "Go help Missouri."
Taylor got up. "Yes, sir."
Two minutes later the sound of music drifted from the kitchen.
Kate was grateful for the privacy. "I'm evil."
John blinked. "What? Why would you say that?"
Kate shivered at the memory of what happened with the hound.
"Are you talking about killing the hound?" John asked. "Kate, Dean, and I both have killed dozens and dozens of monsters. Does that make us evil?"
"No." Kate said. "You just kill them though."
"You are going to have to give me more than that because I do not understand how you could think killing hell hound would make you evil." John said.
Kate wiped her eyes. "I exploded it."
John put an arm around Kate's shoulder. "How?"
"I was so angry and scared that I clenched my fist and..." Kate trailed off.
"That is a better way to go than being clawed to death." John said.
Kate shook her head. "You don't understand. If I can do that to a hell hound, imagine what I could do to a human."
"That is different. I have no problem chopping a vamps head off but I wouldn't do that to a human." John said.
Kate chewed the side of her thumb. "You have more control."
"I am an adult that has been hunting for eighteen years. I have my own hands and weapons. I'm not an eleven year old that is struggling to understand abilities. However, I have lost control before." John said.
Kate still didn't think it was the same thing.
"You didn't lose control, Kate. You got Dean and Taylor out of there and ended the hellhound quickly." John said.
"I was scared and I messed up." Kate said.
John pinched the bridge of his nose. "How?"
"I saw it and froze. I couldn't get them out in time. Dean got cut up." Kate said.
John sighed. "Had you not been out there, Dean wouldn't have had a sliver of a chance of surviving that."
"But I am supposed to be strong and powerful. How am I ever going to be successful if I freeze with a stupid hellhound?" Kate asked.
John stared at her for a moment. "Katie, you are eleven."
"I know and I handled all of this poorly and got emotional and called you what I did and..."
John stopped her. "You didn't handle it poorly. Why are you so upset about calling me daddy?"
"That is a baby name. I don't know. I just feel like I lost my head. I'm sorry." Kate said, sadly.
"Do you feel like you are betraying Brian?" John asked.
Kate shrugged.
"Or do you feel like that made me uncomfortable?"
"Something like that." Kate said.
"You can call me what you want to. That didn't bother me at all. It made my heart break a little bit. You are still so young." John said.
"Taylor doesn't cry and need to be cuddled." Kate said.
"Taylor needs reassurance. You are two different people. You like hugs. That is great." John said.
"No, I'm almost twelve. I can't keep breaking down and getting scared." Kate said.
John was trying to understand where she was at. "I would have been scared of a hellhound. When they attacked a while back, I was scared and I couldn't see them. Fear is normal. Dean is 23 and scared of dolls."
Kate smirked. "He is and it is funny."
"It is funny at times. Listen, you have to let us know what happened and where you are at emotionally. I would rather you need extra hugs and someone to sit with you while you sleep than you pretend you are okay and suffer."
Dean had gotten out of the shower but didn't want to ruin the talk that they were having. Kate was the bravest kid that he had ever met and she held herself to an impossible standard. She had normal kid fears but when it came to protecting people, she was fierce. He had a bit of guilt from the ordeal. He should have been the one protecting her but he couldn't.
Missouri told everyone that dinner was ready and let Taylor set the table. "I talked to a psychic friend of mine. She has a few gifts that I do not have and has experience with some of the heavier things."
"What is her name?" Kate asked.
"Pamela Barnes." Missouri answered.
A strange look crossed John's face but he schooled his expression before Dean could interpret what it meant.
Once dinner was over, the crew got back onto the road. They'd spend the night at the bunker and fix the window on the car before going back to Sioux Falls.
Taylor could feel that Kate was hurting and arranged the backseat so that she could lay down beside his seat. He read one of the journals while Kate rested. He felt connected to some of the things that they had found. Kate was related on the Winchester side but Taylor shared the Campbell side. Bill Harvelle was an amazing hunter that came from a line of hunters. The Campbells were also hunters. It was in his blood.

Bobby and Karen drove the boys over to their apartment and knocked on the door.
Caleb answered it. He smiled. "We were wondering when you'd be coming back."
Andy ran into the house. "I got to use a slingshot!"
"That is awesome, buddy." Caleb said.
"Where is mom?" Andy asked.
"She is awake but still in bed." Caleb answered.
Andy dropped his shoes at the door and ran to tell April about the slingshot.
Caleb took Ian from Karen's arms. "Did they give you any trouble?"
"No, not at all." Karen said.
"Ian was set on messing with the power cords but I said no and I think it broke his heart." Bobby said.
Caleb laughed. "He does get upset with that word." He rubbed Ian's back. "You've got to leave the cords alone, bud."
Ian bounced and smiled.
Caleb asked them to come inside and stay for a little while. "April was wanting to talk to you about Lauren."
Karen wanted to talk to April as well. April had the last pieces of her sister and she wanted to know everything.
Bobby sat down on the couch. "When do you want to do the wedding?"
Caleb sat down across from him. "April and I were talking about that right before you got here. She doesn't want a big wedding. I don't want to just go to the courthouse though. She deserves more than that. We were wondering if we could do it at your house."
"Of course. Karen would love that." Bobby said. "Who all are you thinking of inviting?"
"Well, not many people. We don't know too many and inviting too many people would make your house dangerous. Andy wants Owen to come so we will invite Jody and her husband. Then it will be Sam, Jess, Dean, Lacy, Kate, Taylor, John and you two. Rod and Marie too." Caleb said. "I guess that is a lot of people."
"I am a bit of a packrat. Karen was looking at her wedding dress the other day. I don't know what April's plan is but Karen may want to offer it to her. The lace on part of it is from Lauren's first communion dress." Bobby said.
"It is almost like you kept all that stuff because you knew Karen would be back." Caleb said with a chuckle.
"None of you can talk anymore." Bobby said.
"I think April would like the dress."
"Weddings and celebrations are Karen's thing. She would be happy to help with anything you need."
April shared some photos of Elizabeth. "I had to leave most of our things behind."
"I wish I knew why she disappeared," Karen said. She traced the face in the photo. "She grew up to be so beautiful."
"She was the perfect sister to me." April shared some of the things that Elizabeth did.
Karen squeezed April's hand. "I used to do that when she was little."
April felt connected to Karen. "We know that your mother gave birth to her. I just don't know if I am also her sister."
"Of course you are," Karen said. "You share some of her features. All of my brothers and I had some shade of blonde hair. Lauren was the only brunette."
"My dad was brunette," April said. "I am trying to get records from our hometown. Maybe that will give us some answers."
"I will do the same." Karen said.
Caleb and Bobby got up to join Karen and April.
Bobby quietly let Karen know that April may be interested in the dress.
Andy stayed with Ian and tried to play with him. He had to pull him away from the wires on the TV a few times. Babies were hard work.
The adults were busy talking when they heard a crash.
The TV had fallen over so Caleb quickly lifted it. Andy was partially under it. "What happened?"
Andy looked at Ian for a moment. "Um, I knocked it over."
Caleb looked at the tv. It had a large crack in it. "How?"
Andy's eyes darted around as he searched for an answer. "I wasn't being careful."
Ian was frightened from the tv falling and ran to April.
April checked him over and he wasn't hurt.
Karen grabbed a broom to sweep up some of the shards that had broken off of the screen.
Caleb carried Andy to the couch and made sure that he hadn't been cut. "Are you hurt?"
"My leg hurts a little bit." Andy said.
Caleb pulled the edge of Andy's pants down so he could see the bruise forming on his thigh. "What happened?"
Andy frowned and fidgeted with his fingers. "I.. um.. was playing and knocked it over."
"Did Ian do it?" Caleb asked.
Andy's eyes grew wide. "No, I did. I promise."
"Did Ian pull on the cord?" Caleb asked.
Andy shook his head. "No."
"Andy, I need you to tell me the truth." Caleb said.
Andy was committed to it. "Ian didn't climb and pull the cord. I just knocked it over."
Bobby was leaning against the wall. Andy reminded him of Dean at that moment.
Caleb sat down beside Andy. "Okay. I think it nice that you want to cover for Ian."
"I'm not. I did it." Andy said.
Caleb shook his head. "Ian is still a baby. He doesn't know any better."
"That is why I did it." Andy insisted.
"If you were roughhousing and managed to knock that over, you would be in some form of trouble." Caleb said. "But I know that you didn't do it. Ian did."
Andy frowned. "He is a baby though."
"I know." He rubbed his face. "Ian isn't going to get into trouble. He is too little and doesn't know. So, you protecting him would just end in you getting in trouble for something that he wouldn't have."
Andy tilted his head.
Bobby asked if he could help. "Being a big brother can be hard. You don't want him to be in trouble. Dean did the same thing with Sam but not until Sam was older. Ian may get his hand or diaper tapped but that is it. That is just to spook him because he needs to stay safe."
Andy was beginning to understand. "So even if he does something really bad he wont get a spankin'?"
"Correct. Not when he is this little. If you were going to walk into the road and someone yelled, it would be to get your attention so that you don't get ran over." Caleb said.
"Save the protection attempts for when he is ten and gets into the liquor cabinet," Bobby said.
Andy gasped.
Caleb shook his head. "No, no. Noone is getting into the liquor."
Bobby chuckled.
"Thanks, Bobby." Caleb said with a snort.
"Am I in trouble for lying?" Andy asked.
"No, buddy. You were trying to help Ian. Just tell the truth from now on. Since he was able to pull that down, we know that it was unsafe. We will change things up so that it doesn't happen again." Caleb said.
Andy was excused and went to the kitchen to get the cookie that Caleb had offered him.
Bobby looked at the tv. "That is a heavy tv."
Caleb had felt that when he picked it up. "Yeah, it is."
Bobby wondered how that fell on Andy and didn't hurt him more than just a bruise. "Kids just bounce right back don't they?"
They felt a slight chill and traded looks.
Caleb grabbed some thumbtacks and walked over to the window. "I really need to fix this window. The cold air just seeps right in."
Bobby nodded slowly. "I can help with that tomorrow."
Tessa joined the figure outside the window. "If they catch you, I can't help you."
The figure flickered as they got farther from the apartment. "I am not finished."
Tessa rolled her eyes in exasperation. "You know what I like? I like people who just go when I reap them."
"Not yet. I'm not finished."
