CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT: FOUR DRAGONS
The Black Sun members could only watch the four Dragon Slayers down in the field. Percy glances over at Sebastian, sighing when he saw the familiar deadly look in his eyes as he turns around. "I'll be taking my leave. Let me know the results of the battle."
"Huh? You're not gonna stay and watch?" Helena asked.
"When Sebastian has that look in his eyes... That means his 'Ace of Black Sun' title will show. I prefer not to be around when that happens." Percy replied as he leaves the stands.
Zane watches him go. Once he's sure Percy has left, he shouts. "You're in the clear, Sebastian! Show these people a true Dragon Slayer battle!"
"Do you want him to burn down the entire stadium?!" Everyone exclaimed.
Sebastian grins. "Hear ya loud and clear, Zane."
"What does he mean by you're in the clear?" Natsu asked.
"I have a guildmate who has massive pyrophobia." Sebastian explained. When Natsu gives him a confused look, he adds. "Fear of fire." Natsu nods in understanding as Sebastian continues. "I was being mindful about him being in the audience and held back. Now that he's away, we can go all out!"
"Hellfire Drive!" Sebastian called out, shocking Sting and Rogue as well as the Sabertooth members.
"Don't tell me..." Rogue trailed off.
"He has it too?!" Sting finished.
Sebastian was covered in flames. "What? Don't tell me you kitties thought you were the only Third Generation around?" He smirked. "Come!"
Sting charges forward and strikes Natsu with holy light, who blocks it with his arms. "Sabertooth's Sting makes his move! Fairy Tail's Natsu held it back!" Chapati announced.
"Receive Holy White Judgment!" Sting shouted, punching Natsu rapidly.
"Natsu!" Sebastian called out to him as Rogue moved around him. Sebastian began throwing fire at Rogue, who dodges. Rogue then appears behind him as Sebastian was on high alert as he sent a kick his way, making Rogue stumble back.
"Oh, my! It looks like Sabertooth's Rogue is at the mercy of Sebastian's Hellfire Drive!" Chapati said.
"You can't get ahold of shadows." Rogue claimed before disappearing.
"Take this!" Sebastian shouted as his attack went through Rogue, who punched him.
Natsu ended up getting kicked by Sting as him and Sebastian crashed into each other. Sebastian looked up in the air to see Sting and Rogue about to strike. "Time for Plan B, Natsu!" He informed.
"Gotcha!" Natsu agreed before asking. "...What's Plan B again?"
Sebastian groaned. "I... Just... follow my lead!" He replied as he saw Sting and Rogue coming down. "Dodge!"
Natsu and Sebastian both dodged in unison, narrowly avoiding Sting and Rogue's attack.
"Their power has suddenly increased." Lily pointed out. "Is that a kind of Dragon Slayer Magic?"
"Take care of business, Natsu!" Happy cheered.
Sebastian and Natsu charged forward, attacking Sting and Rogue in sync. "Are they...?" Orga trailed off.
"Working together?" Rufus finished in shock.
"What's the matter, assholes? You were cocky just a minute ago." Sebastian strikes Rogue with a flaming fist. "I really meant it when I said I'd wipe the floor with ya!"
Natsu and Sebastian both sent Sting and Rogue crashing into the arena wall.
"Oh, my! The course of the battle has shifted again!" Chapati announced.
"You guys really are the best." Sting began glowing his element. "We have to give it our all and then some. The White Dragon's Fist even reduces flames to smithereens."
"What is that magic?! The pressure is incredible!" Romeo commented.
"I don't like this... I think it might be..." Happy started to say.
"S-So bright! Yajima-san, what is this?!" Chapati questioned.
"Sting-kun is concentrating his magic into a single point." Yajima replied.
"Here I go, Natsu-san! Dragon Slayer Arcana! Holy Nova!" Sting shouted as the arena was covered in white light.
Sting smirked but was shocked when it was revealed that Natsu had blocked his attack. "Whoa! What's this?! He stopped that tremendous attack with one hand!" Chapati said.
"I-I don't believe it..." Lector said.
"Huh?" Frosch added.
"No way..." Orga muttered.
"I have no memory of that skill ever being blocked." Rufus commented.
"Sting-kun..." Lector teared up.
"Yajima-san, what do you make of this?!" Chapati questioned.
"Sebastian!" Rogue shouted out before Sebastian punched him back.
Natsu and Sebastian continued attacking Sting and Rogue together.
"They belong to totally different ranks." Yajima replied as the audience cheered.
"You know I have this motto. If you play with fire..." Sebastian narrowed his eyes as both Sting and Rogue looked at him, struggling to get up. "...You're bound to get burned." He finished.
"W-Who could have forseen this development?! The Twin Dragons of Sabertooth, helpless before Fairy Tail and Black Sun! Will the match end like this?!" Chapati asked.
Rogue stood up. "Like hell it'll end..." He mumbled.
"Yeah... I knew this wasn't gonna be an easy wall to get over..." Sting agreed, an image of Lector appearing in his mind.
"Sting-kun..." Lector muttered as Sting stood up.
"I know, Lector... We made a promise, right?" Sting mumbled to himself.
"Huh?"
"I'm not gonna lose." Sting claimed as him and Rogue got covered in their elements and had scales on their face and arms. Their hair also spiked up. "I can't lose... For Lector's sake."
"...Shit." Sebastian mumbled.
"They're..." Natsu trailed off.
"W-What is this...?" Makarov questioned.
"Tremble at the true power of the Third Generation." Minerva commented.
"Impossible! They can activate it with their own will?!" Jellal exclaimed in shock.
"Dragon Force..." Mavis muttered.
"Natsu kinda looked like that at the Tower of Heaven..." Gray remembered.
"Yeah. Except..." Erza paused.
"...he gained the power then by eating Etherion. And that time with Zero too, he unleashed that power by eating all of my magic. But they're able to release the power of the Dragon by willing it?" Jellal asked himself.
"This is the Third Generation Dragon Slayers." Minerva claimed as Sting and Rogue stopped glowing their elements.
"Rogue, hang back. I can take both of them on by myself." Sting declared, stepping forward.
"Oh? Can you now?" Sebastian smirked. "I'd like to see you try."
"U-Until just a minute ago, Sabertooth was being dominated! Unbelievably, he's challenged both of them!" Chapati announced.
"That's how much confidence he has, huh?" Yajima questioned.
"That's right! Sting-kun and Rogue-kun have Dragon Force. There's no way they can lose!" Lector claimed with his arms crossed. "I was worried for nothing!"
"Fro forgot about Dragon Force, too!" Frosch admitted.
"Sebastian is a Third Generation, too. How come he's not activating it? That could give him and Natsu the advantage they need." Massorao commented.
"Unlike Sting and Rogue, who've had years of practice using Dragon Force, Sebastian only got his new-found power recently." Nox explained. "I'm surprised his Hellfire Drive was stable enough to use."
"They're lookin' down on us..." Sebastian mumbled.
"But this feeling... He's strong." Natsu stated.
A gust of wind blew through the four Dragon Slayers before Sting charged forward, making Natsu widen his eyes. Sting sent a punch towards Natsu, sending him flying in the air. Sebastian tried to attack him next as Sting blasted holy light at him.
Natsu used his flames as a boost to kick off of the arena wall while Sebastian skidded on the ground. The two of them charged forward as Sting continued to deflect their attacks.
"I-It's different..." Levy muttered.
"Totally different from before!" Happy agreed.
"Natsu-nii..." Romeo muttered as Sting flew into the air.
"White Dragon's Holy Breath!" He called out, causing a ball of holy light to erupt in the arena and the floor of the arena was crumbling.
"Oh, dear! What is going on here?! The floor of the arena is..." Chapati trailed off.
"...crumbling?!" Makarov finished.
"That was one fierce breath..." Mavis commented.
"What an incredible force..." Erza stated.
"This is the power of the Third Generation Dragon Slayers?!" Gray exclaimed.
Natsu and Sebastian fell down the hole. "Sebastian!" Raden and Romin shouted.
"Natsu!" Happy and Romeo called out.
"It seems the battlefield is moving underneath the arena, but the match will continue! Everyone, please enjoy it on Lacrima-Vision!" Chapati announced as the Lacrima screens appeared.
"I'm just getting started!" Sting exclaimed.
Natsu dropped on one of the falling pieces as he lowered himself to the ground and shouted, "Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!"
He charged forward and head-butted Sting while Sebastian appeared behind him. "Hellfire Dragon's Roar!" He released a blast of orange-red flames from his mouth, causing Sting to land on the ground.
"The light of the White Dragon purifies all things..." Sting began as a ball of holy light appeared in his hands. "Holy Ray!"
Both Natsu and Sebastian got attacked. "Light?!" Erza questioned.
"Holy attribute magic..." Mavis muttered.
Natsu crashed to the ground before charging at Sting, who attacked him again. "Fly." He said as Natsu crashed into a wall.
"Natsu can't guard against him?!" Droy exclaimed.
"What happened to that confident mood from just before?!" Jet wondered.
Sting kicked Sebastian back before sending Natsu back down as the fight resumed. Sting sent another attack at them, causing an explosion.
"Sting-kun really is strong, huh?" Lector grinned.
"Fro thinks so, too!" Frosch agreed.
"Lector... I made you a promise... so I'm definitely gonna win!" Sting thinks to himself.
Natsu and Sebastian were both shown to be knocked out as Sting raised his fist. "Are you watching this, Lector?!" He asked.
"I'm watching, Sting-kun!" Lector teared up.
Rogue soon joined Sting underneath the arena. "Times change. The span of seven years has allowed us to develope into true Dragon Slayers. The time of the old generation is over." He muttered.
"Yeah." Sting agreed.
"Uh-oh! They're not even twitching! It's been a breathless seasaw battle, but have both Fairy Tail and Black Sun run out of steam?!" Chapati asked.
"Natsu..." Happy said.
"Seb..." Romin muttered.
"What's wrong? Get up!" Raden exclaimed. "You're stronger than this!"
"Natsu-nii! Stand up!" Romeo shouted as Sting deactivated his Dragon Force.
"But you were really strong, Natsu-san... Sebastian..." Sting complimented.
"Are both of them down?!" Chapati questioned.
"Stand up, Sebastian-nii!" Aster shouted.
"We know that's not enough to take you down, Seb!" Orion yelled.
"Sting!" Rogue said, hopping down to join him.
"Yeah... Sorry I took Sebastian down, too. But, y'know..." Sting paused as he turned around. "...I kept my promise."
"Don't be too hasty..."
Sting and Rogue turned in shock as their eyes widened upon seeing Natsu and Sebastian standing, causing the audience to cheer.
"Fairy Tail!"
"Black Sun!"
"He's standing!" Romin sighed in relief.
"I knew Sebastian wasn't out of this yet." Zane grinned.
"Ow..." Natsu rubbed his head while Sebastian stretched, groaning in pain when he heard his bones crack.
"I'll be feeling that for a week." Sebastian muttered.
"Incredibly, they're alive and kicking!" Chapati announced.
Natsu was about to open his mouth, but Sebastian spoke before he could. "Rogue... You say times have changed, and that the old generation is over. But there's something you should know about the old generation." He paused as he smirked. "If they have a powerful energy boost, they can achieve the same things us Third Generations can."
"What?" Rogue said in shock.
"Kallia... Romin... Everyone... I'm sorry for what I'm about to do." Sebastian apologized in his head before turned to Natsu. "Isn't that right, cousin? So eat up, Natsu! Hellfire Dragon's Blaze!"
Orange-red flames headed towards Natsu, causing an explosion. Soon enough, Natsu was shown eating Sebastian's flames as dragon scales were shown on Natsu's face, shocking Sting and Rogue.
"That's... all of my magic power." Sebastian mumbled, stumbling back a bit.
"Don't tell me..." Erza trailed off.
"He gave all of his power to the Salamander?" Gajeel finished.
"It's just like what Laxus did when we went up against Hades." Gray commented.
"That idiot..." Nox muttered.
"Well, he must've had a reason for this..." Orion sighed. "Seb doesn't do things without reason. I think we all know this."
Sebastian collapsed to the ground, no longer able to stand. "Take 'em down... Natsu."
"Thanks for the meal..." Natsu stated as he got covered in blue flames. Once they died down, Natsu looked at Sting and Rogue. "I can take the both of you on myself. Go ahead, attack me at the same time!"
His declaration shocked both Sting and Rogue.
"Oh, boy! Now Natsu Dragneel of Fairy Tail is challenging the two of them to a battle!" Chapati announced.
"Are you getting fired up?" Natsu grinned.
