Chapter 16:

Spider-Man stares ahead of him, the crimson symbiote staring right back, neither moving a single muscle. Spider-Man stayed quiet, the sight of a new symbiote standing over a dead body.

It was red with black veins across its body. Its head was red, eyes looking exactly like the lenses of his mask, although more pointy than his. Its mouth was filled with sharp red teeth and a long tongue, blood dripping from said mouth. Both arms and legs were red with black claws at the end of each limb. Each claw had four sharp fingers, blood dripping from the claws of its arms as well.

The crimson alien had just finished its meal and just left the corpse lying there. The red lifeform continues to stare Spider-Man right in the eyes, slightly hissing.

"Sy-Symbie, how is there another one?" Spider-Man asked with fear. "Symbie?"

But there was no response, the symbiote was frozen with fear. Another Klyntar was right in front of them, and they had no idea how it got there. Why was there one here? Where did it come from? These thoughts clouded the symbiote's mind with fear, unresponsive to Spider-Man's questions.

Spider-Man decided to take a step back, but just as he does the red alien took one forward. Spider-Man stopped, unsure of what his next action would be.

It was to dodge.

The red symbiote lunged at Spider-Man, arms extended to grab the web-head. Spider-Man barely managed to dodge to the side, but as he does a red tendril grabbed his leg and through him against the nearest wall. But before Spider-Man could recover, he was then slammed through said wall by the red alien, both tumbling on the other side.

Both combatants got up, Spider-man got into his signature pose as the crimson symbiote did as well.

The red alien then shot out red web-lines at Spider-Man, who barely even managed to dodge to the side and shoot webs balls at the creature. And in response, it shot out red web balls at him.

Spider-Man got hit by each ball, knocking the wind out for him for a moment. Taking advantage of this, the red lifeform launched a red web-line at Spider-Man's chest and began swinging him around and throwing him at another wall. As Spider-man got up, he was then surrounded by more red webs and then thrown over the crimson sSymbiote and slammed into the ground. One thought went through his mind.

"It's copying me."

This was not good, it not only knew his moves but how to counter him. What made it even more dangerous was the fact it was immune to his Spider-sense as well, and most likely the symbiote's too.

Spider-Man broke out of the webbing, and tried to gain a bit of distance from the red life form. However, the red alien shot a tendril, wrapping around Spider-Man, and began to slam him into the ground multiple times.

Spider-Man then slips out of the tendrils and webs up multiple pieces of debris and throws it at the red lifeform. Hoping that it would at least distract it, Spider-Man tried to swing away and think of a plan to take it down.

But unfortunately, as he jumped up to shot a web, he was tackled to the ground and onto the floor. The creature then tried to bite down on Spider-Man's head, but he used his hands to keep the creature from closing it's mouth over him. Spider-Man was using all of his strength to prevent it from eating him, hands slowly being cut through by it's sharp teeth, all he could do was keep it open as he stared at the inside of the creature's mouth.

Nothing but red.

"Symbie! Symbie! Symbiote!" Spider-Man called out for help.

No response.

Spider-Man then kicked off the alien, and tried to run, but more tendrils wrapped around him, and brought him to the red alien.

"I need help! I can't keep it from eating me!"

No response.

The alien then wrapped it's entire body around Spider-Man, attempting to bond with him. Spider-Man could only try and crawl out only to sink inside of the creature, his hand held out in desperation to escape.

"Please I need help! Venom!"

Blake and Sun were running from the Paladin piloted by Roman. As they ran through a highway, jumping off the cars along the way, Roman would just shove cars out of the way, with no regard to the safety of the people inside of them.

"We got to slow it down!" Yang shouts as she and Neptune were catching up on the motorcycle.

"Got it." Neptune agreed.

Roman noticed the both of them following him and slammed a bunch of cars together, which resulted in the cars flying all over the place.

"Hold on!" Yang warned Neptune as she maneuvered her cycle to dodge each car ccoming her way.

Once the cost was clear, Neptune took out his rifle and began shooting multiple beams at Roman, which managed to hit the Paladin. He then transformed his rifle into a one-sided blade and jumped onto the machine, piercing the blade into the back of the machine.

The Paladin began spinning the top half to shake Neptune off of it. Neptune held on, doing his best to not let go of his weapon and fall off.

"Neptune hang on!" Sun called out to his friend. He then made copies of himself to attack the Paladin. Both copies successfully hit the Paladin, turning into puffs of energy as a result. Sun then jumped up and prepared to hit the machine with his staff, but the Roman managed to shake Neptune off the machine and threw Neptune into Sun, knocking the both of them off the highway.

"I'm in position!" Weiss yelled as she positioned herself in front of the machine.

Weiss then stabbed her weapon into the ground, causing ice to form around her. The Paladin slipped on the ice and fell off the highway and onto the ground below. As the Paladin landed on its feet, Ruby stood there with her Scythe in hand, her team landing next to her. While she had a serious face on, she was giddy on the inside to fight with her team, although she was slightly disappointed Peter wasn't there to help Them.

"Where is he? Surely he would have noticed all this by now." Ruby thought, unaware of the life and death battle he was having at the moment.

Roman smirked, piloting the Paladin forward to attack the four. With the few extra upgrades, talking down these kids should be a cakewalk.

"Freezer burn!" Ruby commanded. Ruby and Blake jumped back, Yang jumped up in the air as Weiss froze the ground around her. Weiss then jumped back out of the way, allowing Yang to shoot the ice below her as she landed. This resulted in a mist of ice surrounding the area, preventing Roman from seeing the area clearly.

Roman would grunt in frustration, shooting randomly around him in an attempt to hit one of the girls, but missed every shot. Eventually, he does shoot at the feet of Blake and Yang, sending them tumbling to the ground, but Ruby lunges forward and lands a blow with her Scythe, managing to make the machine stumble slightly.

"Checkmate!" Ruby shouts as she shifts her Scythe into its rifle form.

Blake and Weiss ran forward, hitting a flurry of slashes to the feet of the mmachine with their weapons. Weiss then jumped up and managed to stab one of the machine's weapons, disabling it. Roman then tried to squash Blake with the Paladin's large feet, but Weiss activated one of her glyphs to Blake back towards her.

Roman then shot a barrage of missiles towards the cat faunus. Weiss then activated a glyph below Blake, empowering her. As the missiles headed straight for her, she prepared to slash each one into pieces. However, Roman pressed a new button on the machine, causing the machine to let out a high-frequency noise. This caused the poor feline to cover her ears in pain, and the missiles landed right at her feet, sending Blake skidding back a few feet.

"Blake!" Ruby called out, worried for her friend.

As she went to help her up, Yang jumped onto the top of the machine and began to pummel the top of it in anger, shooting a few shells from her gauntlet with each punch.

Annoyed by the constant barrage of punches from Yang, Roman piloted the machine to jump forward, smashing through a few columns and slamming Yang right into another. As the young Huntress began to fall, Roman made the machine land a devastating blow onto her, sending her slamming straight into the ground.

"Yang!" Blake called out to her partner, still slightly disorientated from the noise the machine let onto her.

"Don't worry, with each hot she gets stronger." Ruby told her. "She uses that energy to fight back, that's what makes her special."

Yang got back up, her hair glowing as she stood there clenching her fist. Roman slowly approached her, smirking as he sent another punch towards Yang. Yang sends a punch as well, both fists hitting each other. With her eyes red with anger, she uses her other fist to send a shotgun blast to the arm, destroying it.

With the arm rendered useless, Roman decided to use another new button, which released a bunch of bombs filled with green gas towards Yang.

Yang jumps back, avoiding the missiles as they land and release small clouds of gas that last for a few seconds before dissipating.

"Be carful, that could be scorpion venom." Blake warned the others as they all jumped away and gained a bit of distance from the machine.

"You really think so?" Weiss asked the feline.

"Pretty sure, Roman mentioned the Paladin being upgraded to take Spider-Man out." Blake replied in a worried tone.

"That's not good, we need to take this machine out!" Ruby instructed everyone. Spider-Man was a very powerful superhero, well according to them, so the machine would be even harder to take out.

"How do you propose we do that?" Weiss asked.

"Iceflower!" Ruby shouts, as she began firing her weapon, with Weiss powering it up with a glyph, turning each shot into an icy barrage.

Each shot managed to land, covering the machine in ice. At the same time Ruby and Weiss were shooting the Paladin, Blake had begun swinging Yang around as she gained more speed by shooting her gauntlets behind her.

With enough speed, Yang then went right to the machine, landing one final punch towards onto the Paladin. The Top half of the Paladin was sent flying off, crashing onto the floor only leaving the top half intact.

Since it was upgraded, the Paladin was durable enough for the top half to stay functional. In one last attempt, he activated both the high-frequency weapon and scorpion venom missiles.

The missiles were sent flying all over the place, the girls dodging out of the way, with Yang carrying Blake as the loud noise hurt her years again.

Roman crawled out the top of the machine and jumped down onto the ground, wiping the dust that has gathered into his suit.

"I just got this cleaned…" Roman grunts, "I got to hand it to you four, you all took down a machine designed to kill a superhero." Roman told the four.

Ignoring the clearly sarcastic compliment, Yang shot out blast of fire towards him, but the attack is blocked by Neo as she jumped in front of Roman with her umbrella shielding the both of them.

Neo let out a smug smile as she stood there perching her umbrella on her shoulders.

"Ladies, Ice queen."

"Hey!"

"Always a pleasure, Neo if you would." Roman said to Neo as she bowed.

Yang lunged forward, landing a punch on the umbrella of the ice cream themed criminal, only for both her and Roman to shatter into pieces of glass.

Yang looked around, she then spotted the criminal duo riding inside a bullhead, flying off.

"So, I guess he got a new henchmen." Yang says as she stared in front of her.

"Yeah, I guess she really made our plans fall apart." Weiss quipped.

"No, just no." Yang replied.

"But both you and Peter do it!" Weiss retorts.

"There's a time and place for jokes. But it's fun to see Peter be an influence for you." Yang joked.

"Oh god no." Weiss says, the realization hitting her.

"Speaking of Pete, where is he?" Ruby asked. "Shouldn't he have seen all the chaos caused by Roman."

"Wait a minute, yeah!" Weiss shouts as she snapped out of her internal crisis. "He should have been here helping us!"

While Yang would be just as angry as Weiss, what Junior told her earlier got her worried. "When I was talking with Jr, he mentioned the mysterious murders returning in the shadiest parts of Vale. And if I remember, Pete usually goes there to find the web-head."

"What?!" Blake shouts, "Do you mean the mysterious serial killer is back!"

"Oh… that's not good." Weiss said as she began to realize what Yang was saying.

"Is he in danger! We need to find him!" Ruby shouts, worried about her fellow leader.

"We need to go, now." Blake demanded with a serious tone.

Everyone nodded in agreement, all four of them running to make their way find him.

"You promised you would be ok, please be ok." Blake thought internally.

Ironwood was on his ship, waiting for any news on were Spider-Man was at the moment. Fortunately him, one of his men called out to him.

"Sir, you may want to see this." One of his men called out to him, with slight nervousness.

"What is it? Did you find Spider-Man?" Ironwood asked.

"Yes, he's …. Well take a look." The man replied.

Ironwood walked towards the monitor, and what he saw shocked him. The monitor was displaying live footage of a Knight soaring from above, displaying Spider-Man standing right in front of the very creature they were trying to find the past few months.

For once he got a clear view of they creature and it disturbed him, not only that, but the way it looked, it looked like a red monstrous version of the vigilante.

"I need to know the ETA of every Knight heading to this location now!" Ironwood demanded.

"10 minutes, sir; all of them are scattered from trying to chase down the vigilante." Another one of his men replied.

Ironwood cursed internally as he watched the creature fight Spider-Man. He watched as it toyed with Spider-Man with ease. It didn't even bother to cut him up or eat him like it did with so many people. He watched as it began to grab Spider-Man with tendrils, dragging him towards it. He could only listen as Spider-Man began calling for help to someone by the name of Symbie or Symbiote.

Ironwood sighs, there was nothing he could do for the boy, guess he will just have to tell Ozpin the bad ne-

"Venom!"

And then, right before Spider-Man was engulfed by the red ooze, Ironwood watched as Spider-Man burst out of it, now in a black suit.

"Hands off Klyntar! This host already has an alien Symbiote, get your own!" Spider-Man called out to the creature.

Ironwood watched in awe as Spider-Man and the red creature began to clash with one another.

"What is this?"

/

It can't be real, it shouldn't be real. There was a living Klyntar, right there in front of them. How, they were in a different universe, and even if they weren't, there should have been news of a meteorite landing on the planet. There was only one more way it could have gotten here, it was their own fault. Somehow, without even realizing it, they replicated, giving life to the first Klyntar on this planet. But the next question it had was, why was it red?

"Venom!"

And just like that, the Symbiote snapped back into reality, forming into its suit form and bursting out of the red alien and jumping back away from it.

"Hands off Klyntar! This host already has an alien Symbiote, get your own!" Venom quipped.

"Oh thank God! I thought I was dead, what happened back there?!" Spider-Man asked.

"Existential Crisis. I'll explain what I was thinking later, right now we need to destroy that Klyntar now!" Venom answered.

"Got it. But fair warning, Spider-sense doesn't work on it, what about you?"

"I can't detect it's attacks either, we are going to have to rely on our skills alone here." Venom instructed.

"Crapbaskets. Alright maximum effort." Spider-man quipped as they got into position.

The crimson symbiote roared in anger before lunging towards Spider-Man, Spider-Man then lunged forward and landed a punch onto its jaw, sending it skidding back a dozen feet. The red lifeform got back up and tried to shoot red web balls at Spider-Man, but he dodged each one more easily than he did before. Spider-Man then jumped forward and delivered a spinning kick on the side of the creature, causing it to slam into a wall and spit into a puddle of red ooze.

The red ooze quickly reformed and let out a roar of anger toward the Symbiote-powered hero.

"Hey, you kiss your father with that mouth!" Spider-Man shouted in response, getting a roar back in response.

"Did it say something?"

"A slur in my language, it's still a new born fortunately so we have a chance." Venom responds, "I can teach you to speak my language later, first we destroy my offspring."

"Wait, that's your offspring?! When did you have a baby?!" Spider-Man asked, shocked at the news.

"I don't know, all I know is I replicated without realizing it and now we have that." Venom explained, "You can scold me later, worry about it destroying that Klyntar first."

"Wasn't going to scold you, more like bombard you with more questions about your biology. Let's do this." Spider-Man replies.

Both combatants lunged towards each other once more. The red symbiote tried to slash Spider-Man with its claws, but he dodged and grabbed his arm, and swung it over his head, slamming it onto the ground. In response, the red lifeform wraps a tendril from its back around Spider-Man's legs and throws him against another wall once more.

But Spider-Man quickly recovers by landing on the wall on his feet, and jumps up into the air, and shooting black web balls at the red alien's face. He successfully lands a hot and uses the opening to jump towards it and land a devastating kick onto its face.

The creature then punches Spider-Man in the face and grabs Spider-Man's arm and throws him over it's head. But Spider-Man lands on his feet and throws the creature at full force.

The red lifeform is sent flying and crashing into a pile of rubble from the previously broken wall. It got back up and screeched in anger, slamming the ground multiple times with it's foot.

"Wow, temper tantrum much? Oh well, time to finish this." Spider-Man quipped. But before he could do anything else, his Spider-sense alerted him to look up.

Suddenly a bunch of Atlesian Knights began firing upon the red Symbiote, shooting both incendiary and explosive rounds at it. The crimson alien screeches as some of the rounds managed to hit it. It then shot out multiple tendrils to slice the machines, managing to destroy most of them.

The remaining Knights then pulled out a flame thrower and fired but the crimson symbiote, covering the area in flames. The alien screeches in pain as it was covered in fire, it began to slowly turn into pure mush as a result. In an attempt to get away, it shot out a red spike from one of it's tendrils, hitting the exposed tank of the flamethrower on one the knights. This resulted in an explosion destroying it and the last few Knights, scattering pieces of metal all over the place.

The explosion also caused both Spider-Man and the red alien to be sent flying far from each other, both burned from the fire.

As the symbiote retracted, revealing Spider-Man in his costume, pieces of the suit ripped off. As he got up, he looked ahead to see the red alien covered in a bit of fire, it screeched in pain as it began to dig and retreated underground.

"Damn it! It got away!" Spider-Man shouts in frustration.

"That general got in the way! We could have destroyed them!" Venom shouts as well. "This could have been our only chance!"

"Be honest with me, what are our chances at the moment?" Spider-Man asked.

"As of right now, low, very low. This could have been the only chance we could have destroyed it with ease." Venom answered.

"And I'm guessing after this fight, it will just get stronger and smarter." Spider-Man guessed.

"Unfortunately, yes."

"Crapbaskets. Well now what?" Spider-man asked.

"We recover and make a plan. We need to destroy that Klyntar as soon as possible or life on this planet will be at risk." Venom instructed.

"Ok, let me just get out of here an-" But just as he tries to shoot a web, the web-shooters don't shoot out anything at all.

Confused, Spider-Man takes off his gloves and his web-shooters fall off, broken into multiple pieces on the floor.

"Oh come on! Now I have to do more dumpster diving again to make new ones!" Spider-Man whined.

"Just ask the old man for materials to make a new one." Venom suggests.

"And explain the red ooze we just fought? Is that even a good idea?" Spider-Man asked.

"Parker, look around, those machines must have been sending live footage of this battle. The general is definitely watching right now." Venom points out.

Spider-Man looks around the wreckage of the robots. He spots one the heads of the Knights, still on despite being separated from the body.

Spider-man picked up the head on spoke to it. "You probably have a lot of questions on what the heck is going on and I have a few of my own. So we are probably going to be meeting Ozzy later at night to talk about this. For now I suggest you have whatever remaining robots you have left and find that Klyntar as soon as possible because if you don't already know we are screwed if it survives."

Spider-Man took a few moments to catch his breath, he then continues saying, "Before I go, get some of your men to pick up these scraps of metal and the victim. Might have to tell their family too. Later general." Spider-Man finished as he left.

As he left, he then spoke to the symbiote one last time, "So, that was your offspring."

"It is the only explanation I could think of that explains how that Klyntar even got here. And it's behavior and speech is of a newly born one too." Venom answered.

"I see…" Spider-Man replies. He was paranoid of a more savage alien symbiote roaming the planet, hopefully they can take it down before it causes more carnage. "How's parent hood?" Spider-Man jabbed at the Symbiote.

"Not the time Parker." Venom growled.

"Ok, ok, I won't joke about that. Can you heal my hands?" Spider-man said as he looked at his hands, both having open cuts, blood dripping out.

"Unfortunately, I can't heal wounds caused by other Klyntars as easily as I do with injuries. Besides, that explosion of fire did a number on me too." Venom replied.

"Dang it, guess I'll wrap it with pieces of my costume then. I wonder if the others are ok. I hope they aren't mad when I don't have any info for them on Roman or the White Fang." Spider-Man said with disappointment in himself.

"They would most likely be more concerned with your hands. Good luck explaining that." Venom comments.

Spider-Man sighs as he arrives at a hidden area and begun changing. Things were going pretty smoothly, the most he would have to worry was if the general would try and do anything to him. But with the knowledge of a new symbiote roaming Remnant made him realize that this was just the beginning.

/

The girls walked continued to around, looking for any signs of Peter. But to everyone's frustration they couldn't find him.

"How long have we been looking at this point? Where is he?!" Weiss groaned.

"An hour or two, I think." Yang guessed, "Seriously, Pete should have bought a Scroll at this point."

"We can tell him to get one after we find him." Blake said bluntly.

"Maybe he's back where Yang went for answers about Roman? We did say we would all meet there when we were done." Ruby guessed.

"Huh, actually yeah, he could probably be ok and just be waiting on us." Yang agreed.

"No, we need to look around here. He could be in danger or hurt or worse." Blake interrupted.

"Look Blake, I know you care about him a lot, we all do. But Peter is capable of taking care of himself, for the most part." Weiss said as she placed a hand on Blake's shoulder. "Of course he is getting a huge scolding for not having a way to communicate with us and not being there to help us with that criminal."

"You can scold him later Weiss, we handled it." Yang said with confidence.

"Barely, that machine had weapons made to kill a superhero. I can get the missiles filled with poison, but why is emitting high-frequency sound a way to hurt him?" Weiss asked.

"It did hurt Blake's ears, leaving her open." Ruby added, "Maybe it would do the same to him?"

"Mostly likely…." Blake said as she rubbed her head, still slightly disorientated from before.

"But that thing was also much more durable, it could tank a few of my punches before it broke. It should have smashed into pieces but apparently the top half didn't." Yang grumbles, "At least I left it without legs to walk so it was basically useless."

"Well, we can figure out a much more effective strategy to deal with those criminals later. We should find that dolt before it gets to da-"

"Hey guys! There you are! I thought we were meeting close to Juniors." Everyone heard Peter shout from behind them.

"Told you." Ruby said with a smug face.

Once Peter got to them, they all noticed his hands cover in a thin blue cloth. It looked like blood was seeping through it too, as the cloth on his hands had a bit of red on them.

Everyone clearly noticed this and stared at Peter with slight worry.

"What?"

"Why do you have cloths on your hands?" Ruby asked.

"I tripped over a garbage can following Spidey, it had broken pieces of glass in it." Peter lied, something everyone obviously could tell.

"Then why do you not smell then? Did no garbage fall on top of you?" Weiss asked skeptically.

"Lucky I suppose, although the glass not so much." Peter shrugs.

"But shouldn't they have healed by now? I doubt a couple of cuts is going to drain your aura." Weiss points out.

"Eh my aura is only used when using my semblance, it doesn't protect me or heal me." Peter told the girls.

When it came to aura, Peter did not have any, while Ozpin did offer to try and unlock it, Peter told him he didn't want that. Because if it did work, he was worried that the symbiote would gain one too since it itself did have a soul. Albeit it not one like him or everyone else, but still a soul nonetheless.

Good thing he didn't, the crimson symbiote would have gotten one too.

"That's odd. Any idea why not?" Ruby asked with curiosity.

"I don't know, maybe I'm not from this world." Peter joked.

"Ha ha very funny." Weiss deadpanned. "When we get back you are immediately getting that treated at the nurses office. And another thing where is your scroll?" Weiss asked, all though it sounded more like a demand.

"…..I just realized I forgot to buy one."

"Really dude, it's been like a whole semester." Yang points out.

"We are getting you one tomorrow, and no running off." Blake told Peter with a look in her face.

"Ok, I won't just don't give me that look." Peter replied. "Should we go now?"

"Yeah, it's been a long day, to Beacon!" Ruby cheered as they all began to make their leave. "Oh and Weiss is going to scold you for not being there to help us fight Roman."

"Wait, you fought Roman?!" Peter shouts in surprise. "I'm so sorry, I should have been there to help."

"Well you should have had a scroll to contact us on the first place. You can make it to us later." Weiss smirked. "I have a few ideas on how you can do just that."

"I'm scared."

Everyone chuckles as Peter says that. As they all left, Yang and Blake shared a look. They both knew Peter could heal pretty quickly without aura, so the fact he still had those wounds was concerning. Something or someone must have hurt him in a way that prevents him from healing quickly. Maybe he fought the White Fang in another section that had weapons designed to hurt him.

One thing is for sure: they will have to explain to Peter in private what Roman and the White Fang have in store for him.

/

Underground, within the depths of the sewers came the crimson symbiote digging from above and falling into the murky sewer water. As it got up, it struggled to walk as most of its body had been damaged from the fire those machines had spewed at it.

Anger and frustration, both its father and those machines denied what it wanted. It was so close to achieving it's goal of being whole, it screeched in anger. It wanted to find who was responsible for said machines and not just eat him, but rip him to pieces alive and watch as the scream for mercy.

But right now, it needed to recover. Fortunately it had the energy to regenerate and heal due to the mass of prey it had consumed the past few months. So, it made a hole in the wall and placed the rubble in front of it to hide as it rest. If anyone tried to disrupt it, it would eat them and use them as fuel for said recovery.

Soon, soon it will have its vengeance and take what was theirs.

/

Right around midnight, Ironwood and Ozpin were having a conversation of the fight Spider-Man had with the crimson symbiote after he showed him the footage.

After pausing the footage of Spider-Man speaking to the head of the Knight Ironwood spoke, "I need to know one thing Ozpin, what is he?"

"He is, an odd case. But I believe it's best to let him to you." Ozpin replied. "He should be on his way here."

"What makes you believe that? I doubt he would be here to tell me everything. Do you know everything about him?" Ironwood asked.

"About Peter yes, but not the alien." Ozpin answered.

Before Ironwood could ask what he meant, they hear the elevator door open revealing Peter coming in with his backpack.

"Sorry I'm a bit late, had to wrap up my hands." Peter explained as he held his hands up.

"Well Mr. Parker, now that you are here can you explain everything you had said back there after that created escaped?" Ironwood asked in a serious tone, "The fact that you already know what that thing is very suspicious."

"Exactly why I never wanted to have this type of conversation but since there is another one out there I don't think I can evade this can I?" Peter asked, only getting a stern look from the general.

"I believe it's best you just tell him now." Ozpin instructed.

"Fine, alright let me ask you this sir, have you ever wondered if there was life outside of the planet?" Peter asked.

"No, as far as anyone knows alien life doesn't exist." Ironwood replied, unsure why Peter would ask a ridiculous question.

"Well you wrong there, let me introduce, the Symbiote." Peter said as he pulled out a jar from his backpack.

The jar contained the symbiote, taking the entire space of the jar, it's face looking towards the two Huntsmen, "This doesn't bother me, this doesn't bother me, it bothers me, it bothers me a lot!" the symbiote spoke, not exactly pleased to be in a jar.

"What in Oums name is that?" Ironwood asked in shocked at what Peter was holding.

"Did you not hear Parker, I'm an alien Symbiote idiot." Venom grunts.

"Don't mind him, it's just how he acts. That and he doesn't trust military forces." Peter told the general.

"But it looks like…"

"A Grimm, yes I had the same thoughts when I confronted young Parker a while back." Ozpin told the general. "But despite it's appearance I can confirm it is not."

"Nope, but due to the similarities, it's the main reason why I kept this guy hidden from the public." Peter added. "I would rather NOT be hunted for that reason."

"Correct, I would rather not fight forever just cause I look similar to those knock-offs, I mean I could but I don't want too." Venom spoke.

"How did you come to find such a creature then, sure everyone would have noticed this thing arriving on this planet." Ironwood asked, skeptical about Peter finding the alien on his own.

"Well one thing I have in common with this guy is I'm not from Remnant either. Long story short, particle accelerator go boom, and next thing I know I'm in a forest on another world, quite possibly another universe." Peter explained.

"You are aware how outlandish that sounds so, don't you?" Ironwood points out.

"Well it's the truth, now to answer you questions about my knowledge on that red one. Apparently this guy here ended up replicating without realizing it. Which I have to wonder how you didn't you even notice?" Peter asked.

"I never replicated before, how was I supposed to know I did?" Venom asked.

"Then how were you born then?" Peter retorts.

"Egg."

"Egg?"

"Egg.

"You hatched out of an egg? Was it a egg made goo?" Peter asked with curiosity.

"Essentially." Venom confirmed.

"Gross."

"Ahem." Ironwood coughed getting the attention of the two. "Can you please carry on with what you know about these creatures?" Ironwood demanded.

"Sorry. Anyways, there called Klyntars, although Symbie here doesn't regard themselves as one anymore." Peter explained.

"No I do not, they can go extinct for all I care." Venom comments.

Ignoring the symbiote, Peter continued to explain what it was, "Back to my explanation, the symbiote enhances my powers and even copies them as well. It does this by bonding with me on a molecular level, makes me stronger, faster, and heal faster. And I'm just going to tell you now, I don't have a semblance or aura. The "semblance" I have been showing is just this guy using there own abilities as my own."

"I am owned credit."

"Credit you will only get from me dude, judging by Ironwood's expression he looks like he is on the verge of pulling out his weapon. Kind of the reason why I put you in this jar." Peter replied.

"I hate this."

"And to explain my powers, I am not a faunus. Genetically enhanced." Peter told the general.

"By who, who gave you such abilities." Ironwood asked, curious on how such a thing was possible.

"No one, I'm an accident. Basically back on my world my class took a field trip to a University to see the things they accomplished in genetically engineered animals. And one of said animals was a display of fifteen spiders. One got out, bit me and next thing I know I can do this." Peter said as he jumped all the way on to the ceiling, still holding the jar in his hands.

"So, you are essentially a super-soldier." Ironwood concluded.

"Meta-human, but pretty much." Peter replied as he jumped down. "Now then, to explain what I know about that red Klyntar, since Symbie here integrated my DNA with it's own genetic code, that thing can do pretty much what I can do. Not only that but its immune to my Spider-sense, which is my ability to detect incoming danger."

"I would also add that I can no longer detect Klyntars, so I have no idea where it is at all. I was disconnected from the hive-mind a long time ago." Venom explained.

"I see, so that thing, is essentially the both of you are combined." Ironwood guessed.

"Yes, although the only question I have is why it is red. The only color Klyntars come in is black, and occasionally grey." Venom added. "A warning, every generation of Klyntar is stronger then the previous generation that came before. So that encounter we had today may have been the only chance we could have destroyed it easily. Next time wait until the machines are necessary and let us handle it"

"I had them sent because your host was in danger, from the look of it he could have died." Ironwood told the symbiote defensively.

"Well you better hope your machines can kill it next time, because another thing about the Klyntar is we get stronger very quickly, the same tactic won't always work." Venom growled.

"I can confirm, back home this guy was causing me a lot of trouble. He didn't eat anybody but he did make my life a living hell for some time." Peter confirmed "Hang on, you didn't eat anybody, how did you stay sane without giving in to your instincts?"

"Brocks hate was enough to fuel me, that and by sheer luck he ate a lot of chocolate when he was angry, basically stress eating." Venom explained.

"Huh, that is lucky." Peter replied, looking back at the general, he finished by saying, "I believe that is all I got for you, Symbie here doesn't share a lot of info so I think that is it?"

"A few things, this Klyntar does not have a host, both good and bad for different reasons. Good because without a host it is much easier to destroy, and bad because gaining a host will only make it even stronger." Venom explained, it remembered when it burst out of the crimson alien it noticed how it had no one trapped inside.

"So if an attack would be lead, it would have to be quick." Ozpin assumed.

"Correct, but it's best that I destroy it." Venom instructed.

"And how would you go on to destroy this Klyntar?" Ironwood asked, doubtful that it would destroy it's own kind.

"I would eat them."

"You would eat your own kin?"

"I got to admit that's screwed up." Peter comments.

"I ain't no helicopter parent, besides I ate my parent before." Venom said, much to the surprise of everyone.

"And why would you do such a thing?" Ozpin asked with slight surprise.

"Survival of the god damn fittest, you either survive or you don't. Although recently thanks to Parker my view has changed because of the concept of morality." Venom replied.

"No offense, but your species is really screwed up." Peter stated his opinion.

"Parker, you have no idea." Venom told it's host. "Now then the other things I want to say is once the Klyntar has been destroyed, you leave me and Parker the hell alone. While I will tolerate you observing us from a distance, I will not take it too kindly if you attack us. You leave us alone and I will leave you alone." Venom demanded.

Ironwood stared at the symbiote in the eyes, the alien staring in response. As he does he noticed just how terrifying this creature was, "It's like starring into the void, and it starring back at me."

After a few moments, the general spoke, "Fine, but if you even make a single move to attack innocent civilians then you know what will happen next." Ironwood threatened.

"Hmph, looks like we have come to an agreement. Now then, I believe we should go Parker, I'm getting tired just looking at this Remnant human." Venom grunts.

"Fine, but you need to work on your table manners, we are not making the general comfortable with trusting us." Peter said as he turned around.

"Good, because I don't trust him." Venom said, making sure Ironwood could hear him. Right as Peter was about to enter the elevator, the symbiote then asked, "Hey old man, did you look into what I told you last night?"

"I have , while I'm not sure whether to believe what you told me, I have taken the time to look into it." Ozpin replied.

"Good, you both can deal with that, and me and Parker can deal with my Offspring. Makes me sick saying that." Venom said as they enter the elevator.

"Sorry for their behavior, Symbie here barley trusts anyone. That and they aren't happy being a dad now!" Peter quipped as the doors began to close.

"Stop!"

Ironwood and Ozpin watch as the dis-functional duo left, the both of them alone once more.

"I don't believe this, that creature is the spawn of an alien. Why didn't you tell me this before?" Ironwood asked, not pleased from the truth being kept from him.

"I did not want to risk the symbiote lashing out if it felt either threatened or Peter was in danger. Despite it's behavior it seems to care for the young boy's safety." Ozpin replied.

"You are aware how risky that is, we know nothing about that creature or the red one at all! It could be a danger to everyone here! And how do we know that it couldn't be a creation of hers." Ironwood gave his piece.

"Exactly why I left it be, the only idea of how dangerous it could be was through Peter's past experience with it. So all I could do was observe it's behavior and hope it would grow more docile. Which it has, it was not a single bit cooperative when I first met it." Ozpin replied, "And I did believe she could have been responsible for it's existence, further observation help me see that it and Parker really did come from another world. Although I did see that it does not appear to be, natural. It is alive, I can even sense it having a life force like us and Peter, but it feels slightly off."

"I still don't believe it, but I will take your word for it. However, I would like to know what it meant by it's last question to you. What did it tell you last night?" Ironwood asked.

Ozpin sighs, it remembered when the symbiote came to its office to warn him off the potential threat inside Beacon.

"They alien told me it sensed one of our enemies in the premises, specifically the one who attacked Amber. It has the ability to sense life and the type of power everyone has." Ozpin began. "While I am skeptical about what it told me, I am not one to ignore what could be a potential problem."

"Wait, does it know, does Peter know the truth?" Ironwood asked, hoping Ozpin didn't tell either of them.

"No, it doesn't know anything. But it is able to sense that the power it sensed was more unique then other people. It suspects that I am hiding something from it. Fortunately it doesn't care enough to seek the truth, as long as Peter is kept out of it then it won't bother caring." Ozpin answered.

"That's a relief, we can't have the truth get out. So as long as young Parker is kept away from it then the creature won't anything at all. So do you really think it is telling us the truth?" Ironwood asked.

"Most likely, the alien is only concerned for the survival of itself and its host. So I believe we need to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity on the students it described to me. I will send you a list later." Ozpin replied.

"Alright, but I have to ask, does anyone else know about Parker and the alien's origin?" Ironwood asked.

"Just me and Glynda. If you must know she is weary of the alien. And as for Peter she is concerned for his well-being. From what Peter has told us about his life back on his world, he is one of the first batch of super-powered individuals that had begun appearing. And a disturbing fact was that he was the only one to go on to protect his home from criminals that threatened his home with said powers." Ozpin told the general.

"Really now, do you really believe that?" Ironwood asked, thinking it wasn't true.

"I can see it in his eyes, he has been through more then those twice his age. I can only imagine the trials the young boy has had to go through. The only one that does know what he has gone through is the very alien he harbors within his body." Ozpin explained, "While the two have had conflict with one another, I can see that the both of them have begun to understand each other. I can send you security footage of the two during their time in the science lab the past few months. Peter spends time in there alone to speak with it while doing his studies."

"I would appreciate it. Now then, I believe I must make my leave as well. I need to have my own men keep an eye out for this Klyntar." Ironwood said as he began to walk away.

Ozpin nods, knowing how important time was at the moment. He watched as Ironwood entered the elevator and pressed a button on the side to leave.

"I hope you know what you are doing by allowing such a creature to reside here." Ironwood said as the doors of the elevator closed shut.

As he rode the elevator, he couldn't keep the image of the symbiote's eyes out of his head. It felt wrong looking at that thing, he couldn't fathom why Peter would allow it to bond with him. Was he blinded by the power?

Ironwood was unaware that Peter kept the Symbiote around as a way to keep it contained and from causing havoc. He didn't know Peter's morals had influenced the symbiote to become more docile.

No Ironwood believed Peter was being controlled. He decided to go along with the symbiote's demands, focus on destroying its offspring. Or maybe, capture it for study and find a way to eradicate both aliens once and for all.

The next day, early in the morning in the science lab, Peter was rebuilding his web-shooters while discussing with the symbiote.

"Ok, so sound is out of the picture." Peter spoke as he took a moment to write on a white board in a blue marker.

"Correct, leaves you vulnerable if the red Klyntar recovers much more quickly then me." Venom said as they used a tendril to write their own note in a black marker.

"Fire could work, but the issue is making sure I don't set anything else on fire." Peter added.

"Those dust crystals could work, specifically the fire ones. We could lure it into a trap and set a bunch of them off." Venom suggests. "But that could result in an explosion hurting us as well."

"Great, with us unable to sense it coming and the weakness being hard to exploit things are just going to go horribly." Peter sighs.

"Just keep thinking, you can come up with a solution. Use that brain of yours." Venom commands.

"I am, it's just sound goes in all directions and like I said with fire it's hard not to cause collateral damage with it. And flamethrowers are out since we saw it shoot the ones on those robots with red spikes." Peter grumbles.

"Options are dwindling, and more people are going to be consumed. I blame the old man and the general, they seemed like they knew of its existence and kept the truth from us." Venom grunts.

"I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but with the first unusual murders happening months before, it seems like they really did. I mean I can understand keeping the public from finding out but at least Oz should have warned me." Peter replied, frustrated from not being able to do anything at the moment.

"We should just go out there and find that Klyntar while it's still recovering, maybe we can destroy and boom we are done." Venom suggested.

"But the problem is that we don't know where it could be. By the time we find it, it would have gotten strong enough to take both of us out." Peter replied.

"Well there is….my true form." Venom said as it wrote more notes on the board.

"Well yes, but I don't know if I want to….." Peter said as he wrote a bit more and went back to repairing his web shooters.

The symbiote stayed silent, it's true form would be strong enough. However, the problem is that despite not showing any signs of it, Peter had some trauma from fighting the symbiote in it's true form. Especially since not only was the symbiote brutal with attacking him back then, but the fact someone he saw as an older brother bonded to it and enjoyed hurting him made it worse.

"….. let's just find another way to bring it down."

The symbiote then sensed a familiar power coming to the science lab. Said power belonged to Glynda who decided to check on the young hero.

"Peter, are you in here?" Glynda asked from behind the closed door.

"Yes ma'am, I'm here." Peter replied.

Glynda enters and sees Peter repairing his web-shooters and the symbiote staring at the white board, looking at it intensely.

"Ozpin told me about what happened yesterday night." Glynda began, "Are you alright?"

"For the most part, just frustrated about what to do. Me and Symbie here have been up the past hour trying to come up with a solution to take that red alien down." Peter began, "I'm assuming Oz told you about the details of said encounter?"

"He has, apparently your alien ally here is a parent now." Glynda replied, slightly unsettling and unpleased about the news.

The symbiote sighs, it did not need the scolding of the blonde Huntress right now, it already has to deal with its host holding them over it already.

"If you must know, I never sought out to replicate. I never replicated before, so I have no idea I did. And before you ask how I was born, I hatched out an egg, and no I never spat out an egg." Venom said, not looking back as it continues to right a few more notes on the white board.

"An egg?"

"A gooey egg."

Ignoring Peter, the symbiote began to explain more about the way Klyntars reproduced, "Each generation of Klyntar spots out six seed shaped eggs, only one Klyntar is required to produce more. Each generation is stronger than the last and carry memories and abilities from the parent Klyntar as well. The good news is each generation can only reproduce once. There are rare instances of Klyntars replicating a copy of themselves. But due to how rare it was it was believed to be just a rumor, apparently it was true. If makes the both of you feel better, a Klyntar can only reproduce once, so I won't be accidentally replicating even more." Venom finished explaining.

"That's good at least." Peter spoke up, "But it still doesn't explain why it was red. You said that there has never been such a thing, right?"

The symbiote nods, "No, it has baffled me and I still haven't figured out why."

Glynda took a moment to process the information she just learned about the alien. While it was good that they only have to deal with one aggressive creature, it worried her that Peter would most likely try and face it alone.

"I see, and I am assuming you both will take it down yourselves?" Glynda asked.

"Yep, and there's no talking me out of it." Peter said, not looking up from his web-shooters.

"He's right, besides I don't trust that general to do the job. Those machines won't work, like said before I have faced more advanced machines and won. The chances of him succeeding is low." Venom reminded Glynda of the conversation it had with her and Ozpin.

"Really? When?" Peter asked.

"Oh right, I never told you. Long story short during one of the Klyntar's invasions on a planet, the species used extremely powerful machines to fight. I remember all to well about how they fell." Venom summed up.

"Not filling me with confidence about taking your offspring down dude." Peter deadpanned.

"I am a seasoned warrior, and it is still an infant. While our chances are low it's not zero. Just need a strategy that could work." Venom replied.

"I know neither of you trust James, I suggest you let him help. I'd rather not find out that you die trying to fight that thing." Glynda told the young hero.

"I survived Symbie here so I think I can survive the red glob of ooze. I'll be fine." Peter replied.

Glynda sighs, seeing that she wouldn't be able to change his mind she passed Peter a scroll. "Here, if things get out of hand you contact me or Ozpin. At least call for help if things get worse."

Peter hesitates for a moment before taking the scroll, "Thanks, I'll let you know if me and Symbie have a hard time."

Glynda nods as she decided to take her leave. Once she is gone the symbiote decided to look at Peter, still working on his web shooters.

"Parker, I'll be back, need chocolate."

"Oh, ok, just stay out of trouble." Peter replied. "And try and not let Ironwood spot you."

"He won't, I can sense when people are coming remember." Venom said as it entered the vents.

Once in the vents, the symbiote continued to crawl until it sensed Glynda nearby. It arrived in her classroom, she was using a scroll to prepare for her next class in a few hours.

Speaking through the vent, the symbiote says, "Hey, may I have a word?"

Glynda was startled for a moment, she still felt uncomfortable with the alien crawling through the vents. But she was caught off guard with the symbiote speaking to her in a more polite manner.

"Oh, what would you like to discuss." Glynda asked, looking at the vent.

"I would like to request for you to keep an eye out on the general, I don't trust him near Parker." Venom asked.

"While I understand your concern, James means we'll. He is just…."

"Paranoid, I demanded him to leave me and Parker alone but I have a feeling he won't. By the chance he does destroy my offspring and by chance me, I want you to keep the general away from Parker. I know he won't let Parker roam free now that he knows the kid is essentially a super-soldier." Venom interrupted.

This surprised the Huntress, the symbiote never showed this much worry before. This was a surprise, a pleasant one at that.

"I will." Glynda replied.

"I appreciate your cooperation. Now then, I must go and feed on chocolate." The symbiote said as it was about to crawl away.

Before it did, Glynda spoke out to it, "You actually care about Peter, don't you."

"….. Yes, all I ever wanted to achieve was a symbiotic bond." Venom replied, "I can sense your emotions you know. You worry about his safety, I can promise that I will do everything in my power to protect him. He is my host after all."

And with that, the symbiote left to eat the chocolate in the cafeteria. It continued to crawl, deep in thought. It knew the general may not keep his word. His paranoia would lead it to find a way to destroy them. While the chances of him succeeding are extremely low, the possibility was still there. By the chance that the general did kill them, at the very least it hoped the blonde Huntress kept its host safe.

"I know you are plotting to destroy me general. I won't let you succeed. I won't let you hurt my friend."
