Hey, guys, GaeaChronos here with a new chapter of Deku-Sensei! Still having fun with thinking up different scenarios for this fic to the point I'm hitting a mental block lol.

Anyways, on with the chapter!

Chapter 4

At Trinity General School...

Nagisa was sitting at her usual table, with several sweets laid out all for her afternoon with Hifumi!

She was worried the girl might still be upset with her for accusing her of being a traitor back during the Eden Treaty.

She was delighted when Hifumi accepted her invitation for afternoon tea!

She was definitely determined to make it up to her after all her paranoia!

Though...

"Hifumi-san sure is taking longer than expected..." She wondered out loud, staring at the untouched confections before her.

Hifumi did say she was attending a Peroro event for a limited edition pillow, so she took that into account!

Even taking into account the time to commute back to Trinity! With all that, she should have arrived at least 30 minutes ago!

Unless...

Hifumi intentionally stood her up...?

No... that can't be!

Hifumi had already forgiven her for the accusations!

"It was a funny fantasy, thinking we were ever really friends."

"Hgk-!"

Nagisa could've sworn she spat out blood after Hanako's words suddenly echoed in her mind.

Bzzzt!

Nagisa was snapped from her thoughts by her phone ringing.

Picking the device up, her breath caught in her throat as she saw the caller ID.

Ajitani Hifumi.

Taking a shaky breath to calm herself, she answered the call.

"Y-Yes, this is Kirifuji Nagisa."

"Nagisa-sama, thank goodness you answered!" Hifumi's relieved voice came in from the other line.

Good. She doesn't sound upset.

"Hifumi-san, why haven't you returned to Trinity yet? I thought the event was only until noon..."

"About that..."

"Hm?" She didn't like the tone Hifumi was using. It sounded like...

"Nagisa-sama, could we cancel? I don't think I'll be able to make it today..."

Nagisa froze.

Shakily, she took a sip of tea to calm herself, ignoring how she was spilling some of it onto the table.

"C-Cancel? Hifumi-san, did something happen?" She asked shakily, setting the phone to speaker, as she was losing her grip on the device so she set it down on the table.

"You see... Sensei is being stalked on his date!"

The teacup fell, spilling what was left of her tea on the table, thankfully missing the phone.

Nagisa frantically looked around, and froze.

Right by the doorway, Misono Mika stood frozen, her smiling face unreadable.

"Huh~? What was that~? My ears must be messing with me, because I think I heard Hifumi-chan say Sensei was on a date~" The girl in question sing-songed, still wearing that unsettling smile.

"But that's impossible, right~? There's no way someone as lame as Sensei could be able to score a date~" Mika continued, stepping closer to Nagisa with that same, terrifying smile.

"H-Hifumi-san..." Nagisa whispered to her phone. "Prank calls like this aren't funny. C-Could you clarify what you mean by Sensei on a date?" She asked, praying desperately that she misheard Hifumi, or it was just a misunderstanding.

"Huh? Nagisa-sama, you know I'm not the type to do prank calls. Sensei is meeting up with a girl he knew from UA, and they're currently on a date while he shows her around Kivotos!"

Oh.

Oh, no.

Nagisa looked up to find Mika gone.

"Oh, no, no, no, no..." Nagisa stood up, beginning to panic. "Just when things were about to calm down with Mika-san...!"

She frantically ran to the door, hoping to calm her friend down before she breaks down another wall.

"If you're looking for Mika, she just went through the door." Seia said, entering the room.

Nagisa breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness. She used the door. We won't have to repair things again..."

"Uhh, Nagisa... I said she went through the door, not used the door." Seia pointed at the door, where there was now a perfectly cut, Mika-shaped hole.

Nagisa didn't need to look to know the other doors will also have Mika-shaped holes in them.

Slumping back into her seat, Nagisa buried her face in her hands, and screamed into her palms.

Back with Miyu...

"RABBIT4, this is RABBIT1. Status report?" Miyako's voice came in on the other line.

"Th-This is RABBIT4. Target has left the cafe. C-Continuing pursuit." Miyu whispered into the comms watching Sensei leave with his friend.

She really didn't see the point in this. Sensei didn't really seem to be in any danger, and his friend looked really capable.

But... Miyako did promise giving her the beef yakiniku bento the next time they get them from Sora...

Swallowing nervously, Miyu quietly stepped out of the trash can to move into the next one closest to Sensei.

Only for her foot to hit a wire.

"Huh? Hwah-!"

Back with Hifumi- I mean, Faust...

"Azusa-chan, was that really necessary?!" she whispered to her friend.

"It was non-lethal force, like you wanted." Shirasu Azusa, currently in her gas mask, stated matter-of-factly. "I trapped her in a net, that barely counts as lethal."

"But was the tear gas really necessary?!"

"We had to subdue her, Hifumi-chan. Any other approach would have had her calling for reinforcements."

"It's still a bit overkill..."

Looking at the net, Hifumi could hear the poor girl sniffling and whimpering even from across the street.

"Azusa-chan, let's get her down. Maybe... we can just ask her why she's tailing Sensei..."

"Ah. An interrogation. You're surprisingly thorough, Hifumi-chan."

"No, no. It's nothing like that..." With that, Hifumi crossed the street, and carefully let the girl down from the net.

As she set her down on her feet, she could see the uniform better.

Oh. She's an SRT student!

"Umm, hey, are you okay? Sorry about the net..." Hifumi apologized, dusting the girl off.

When the girl finally opened her teary eyes, they widened in horror.

"Aaaa...Aaaaah..." The girl's eyes rolled up, and she fainted, collapsing right into Hifumi's arms.

"Eh? Why did she..." Turning around, she saw two SRT students approaching her.

"Oh! Are you two her friends? Come and get her!" she waved at the two.

With Miyako...

"... Come and get her!" the masked individual taunted with their mocking tone, waving their hand at them as if daring them to come closer.

Miyako felt her blood boil.

This happened due to her negligence.

She shouldn't have ordered Miyu to go alone!

Now, she was in the hands of some weirdo in a mask.

"Umm, Miyako? I just finished looking up the mask, and you're not gonna like what I found..." a voice chimed in through the comms.

"What did you find, Moe?" Miyako whispered into her mic, still keeping her eye on the masked individual, who was tilting their head at them, as if mocking them.

Back with Faust...

Weird. Why aren't they coming any closer?

This was the thought running through Hifumi's head as she tilted her head in confusion.

Were they not friends?

She also noticed their facial expressions darkening for some reason.

Was... she mistaken?

Her hand went up to scratch her head in confusion.

Only to be met with paper.

... Eh?

Hifumi froze.

She... She forgot to take off her mask.

With Azusa...

"This is bad. Hifumi-chan is currently engaged in a standoff with two SRT students. And they look hostile..." Azusa whispered, still wearing her gas mask.

"This is bad. With her mask on, Hifumi-chan might have caused a misunderstanding..." Shimoe Koharu whispered, before turning to her other friend. "Hanako-chan! Why didn't you let me tell Hifumi-chan?!"

"I admit, I wanted to tease the SRT girl for stalking Sensei." Urawa Hanako replied with a smile. "... Though even I didn't expect things to escalate like this. My bad..." she ended with a soft laugh, looking apologetic.

Suddenly, the two SRT students moved a bit from their spot.

"They're on the move!" Azusa exclaimed, running to her friend while throwing a smoke grenade at the two students.

With Miyako...

Miyako swallowed a lump in her throat as she digested the information Moe had given her.

Faust, the leader of The Masked Swimsuit Gang.

Strange name aside, that mask has apparently been a symbol of fear in the underground community.

They had successfully robbed a bank in the Black Market, stealing millions of Yen, then suddenly disappeared into thin air along with the money, leaving the case unsolved.

Then, they apparently made another appearance during the mess of the Eden Treaty, taking on Arius Satellite School and the Saint Justina Council, coming out victorious.

Needless to say, Faust was not to be taken lightly.

And now, this criminal had her precious teammate and friend in their hands.

And it was all her fault.

Nodding grimly to Saki, the two of them carefully took a step forward, hoping to catch Faust off guard.

Suddenly, a smoke grenade was thrown in their direction.

Back with Izuku...

Uraraka-san and I walked out of the cafe in relatively high spirits. As we walked we heard an explosion in the distance.

"An attack?!" Uraraka-san exclaimed, turning to the direction of the explosion.

Before she could rush off, I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Uraraka-san, it's fine." I reassured her. "You hear that all the time here in Kivotos."

"Besides..." I trailed off, pointing to students already on their way to the scene. "Valkyrie's on its way. They got this covered." Uraraka-san still didn't look convinced.

"Deku-kun, this seems really out of character for you. Back then, you would rush to the scene, thinking it would be a Villain attack..."

Well, I can't say she's wrong.

In my first year at Kivotos, I wouldn't hesitate to jump headfirst into the scene, thinking it was a Villain attack.

But now...

"Uraraka-san, there aren't any Pro Heroes here in Kivotos for a reason." I smiled, putting my hands in my pockets.

"All of these students... They're pretty much forced to grow up so early. They don't really rely on adults. They take matters into their own hands instead of letting the grown-ups handle it..."

My mind flashed back to Hoshino, Rio, Mika, and Saori and how they made heavy choices on their own. How Miyako felt responsible for the rest of her team. The heavy weight Rin carried on her shoulders as she did her best to handle what the GSC President left behind.

"I... want to become an adult they could put their trust in. I want to be their Hero. But for them to trust me, I have to trust them as well. And if they ever make a mistake..."

I turned to Uraraka-san with a grin.

"I'll be there to catch them so they can try again."

After all, it was a teacher's job to guide their students.

"Umm..."

I noticed Uraraka-san still hadn't said a word, still staring at me.

...

... Okay, please say something!

"Deku-kun, you've become a really cool guy, huh?"

... Eh?

"Eh...?!" I stammered as a blush came into my face.

Uraraka-san, as if realizing what she had just said, started blushing as well.

"I-uh, well, it's just that... You're turnin' into a pretty wise guy! And I thought that was... pretty cool..."

We stood there in awkward silence, not really knowing to proceed with the conversation.

"Pfft...!" A sound came from both our lips at the same time.

Soon, the two of us broke into laughter.

Once the laughter died down, Uraraka-san smiled at me.

"I really do think it's admirable how much you care for your students, Deku-kun. And with Miyu-chan and Hifumi-chan, I could tell how much they trust you as well. You've really become a good teacher."

Oh, no.

I couldn't help the dumb smile that was about to creep up my face...!

Turning away in embarrassment, I saw a familiar sight.

A student with long hair across the street, carrying plastic bags. She turned to my direction, her eyes brightening as she excitedly ran to me.

"Sensei!"

"Aris!" I greeted as she stopped in front of us.

"You're walking alone today?" I asked, my brow furrowed in concern. This place was a fair bit of distance from Millenium. Yuuka must be worried.

"Aris is currently undertaking a high level quest in order to gain experience as a Hero!" Aris declared proudly, lifting up the plastic bags, which I now saw had pudding in them. The limited edition ones from Trinity, to be specific.

Ah. Momoi must have put her up to this. I'll give her a scolding about this later.

Then again, Yuuka might have already done that...

"Oh! An unfamiliar presence! Did Aris unlock a new character to interact with?" Aris asked, tilting her head curiously at Uraraka-san.

"Ah, let me introduce you two. Uraraka-san, this is Tendou Aris, a student of Millenium Science School. Aris, this is Uraraka Ochako. We used to go to UA together when we were training to be Pro Heroes."

Aris's eyes suddenly began sparkling.

"Then... she was one of Sensei's old Party Members?" she asked excitedly.

"Uhh, I guess I am...?" Uraraka-san answered with a soft smile.

Suddenly, Aris raised the plastic bag triumphantly.

"Panpakapan~! Aris has unlocked a new piece of Sensei's backstory!"

Uraraka-san turned to me with a blush and a smile.

"She's so cute..." she mouthed to me.

Ah, looks like we'll get a bit sidetracked again.

Well, as long as Uraraka-san is having fun.

At Millenium...

"Kotama, you got some mail from Kronos..." Chihiro said, entering the room carrying some envelopes.

"Oh, my check is here already?" Kotama asked excitedly, accepting one of the envelopes.

"... A check? For what?"

Kotama froze.

"Uhh..."

After an explanation...

"You sold Sensei's private information?!"

Somewhere in Shiratori City...

"Hey, did you hear?" A Valkyrie student asked.

"Hm? What?" The other student asked back, leaning back in her seat.

"According to Kronos, Sensei is dating Pro Hero Uravity!"

"Wait. For real?! Good for Sensei! He deserves it!"

In one of the cells, a pair of fox ears twitched, listening in on the conversation.

And that's about it! I'll try to get the next chapter out much sooner, but no promises. If you'll excuse me, I'll try to get Shiroko Terror. Fellow Senseis, I wish you luck!

GaeaChronos is out. Peace!
