Chapter 68 Tales of Kitty

In the afternoon Akira and Mei arrived back at the base and exited the ship. They went to meet up with Winston.
"Did you meet up with the agent?" Winston asked.
"No, we had a problem with a attack." Mei said.
"What happened to him?" Winston said.
"I fear the worse must have happened." Akira sighs.
Winston looks down. "It's a shame that another perishes. But it's the dangers to achieve our goals."
"The enemy was nobody we ever knew, so he must not have seen him coming," Akira said.
"It was good that you stopped it before anyone else could be harmed." Winston said,
"So what do we do now?" Mei asked.
"You just came back, take a day off both of you."
The two of them shrugged before leaving.
Akira goes to check on Miri since she's always wants to see him.
"You always have to check your brat." Momotaros said.
"Hey, Miri is a good kid so don't be like that." Akira said.
Hana was sitting down on a table having a drink, she then thinks of Akira and sees he's so different and has something similar to Ryotaro.
"Do you guys know much about Akira?" She asked.
They got surprised and looked at her.
"My, why are you so interested in Akira Hana?" Urataros said.
"I just wanted to know more about him that's all." She said.
"Well Akira is really cool." Ryuutaros said
"That doesn't help." Momotaros said.
"Akira is strong!" Kintaros poses.
"And really nice." Naomi said.
Hana listens to them since they all like Akira but what is there more to him.
Akira meanwhile was going to his shop as Miri came to him.
"Papa!" She hugs him.
He smiles at her. "Hello Miri."
He hugs her back while picking her up.
Misaki came. "Hello Akira." She smiles at him too.
"Hey, so how's it going?"
"It's been good everyone has been working hard to make sure the shop continues to do better." Misaki answered.
"That's good." He nodded.
Kitty was nearby and watches before she wanders off on her own.
She saw a family walking by with they're son, it reminded the cat of Akira and his parents a long time ago.
Then a car lost control heading towards them. She then moves her tail to use her stand to blow it away.
The family got surprised and looked at the car. Kitty then walks away as she was done.
A limo stops and a blonde girl wearing a red outfit and skirt looks out. "Hey I saw that."
The cat stops in surprise.
"She waved her tail and made the car fly. I want her!" She said.
A man comes out to get Kitty but she runs back to the shop making him go after her.
Akira saw Kitty hurry. "What's wrong Kitty?"
The driver came inside. "Excuse me."
"Huh?" Akira got surprised to see someone like him.
"I came after the cat." He told Akira.
"What? What did Kitty do?" Akira said.
"The young madam wishes to have her as a pet." The driver said.
"What?!" They all said.
Miri hugs Kitty close to her.
"I'm sorry but Kitty is part of our family. And I will not allow her to be taken." Akira said.
The girl came. "Then i'll buy her. I'll give a thousand."
"She's not for sale." Akira said.
He already lost his cat once as a child he won't lose her again to some rich brat.
"Everything has a price! Now give her!" She wrestles with Miri.
"No!" Miri holds her Kitty closer.
Kitty groans as she was getting mad.
The girl got sent back. "I want it all."
She moves around. "If I want I can have my daddy buy this shop."
She then goes above a metal device. "If I want it I will get it! As I will have the best cat!" She then falls down a trap door.
Miri pressed a button without being seen.
"She shouldn't have done that, it's where we dump garbage, now she's being sent to the dump."
"You have that." The driver said.
"Yes since..." He shows a badge surprising the driver.
"I'm coming madam!" The driver jumps in too.
"Well that should show them." Tracer came laughing.
"Yeah." Akira said.
Miri hugs Kitty since she was her friend and wouldn't leave her no matter what.
Origami came. "What happened?"
"Funny story." Akira said.
He started to talk to her and she was surprised some girl wanted to buy Kitty away from them.
"Well she deserved to go in the trash." She said.
"Well good thing we managed to solve it." Akira said.
"Kitty will never go away." Miri smiles at the cat.
Kitty just relaxes since she's a lazy cat sometimes.
"Good thing I always have my badge. As I doubt some rich guy would try and face a Overwatch member." Akira said.
"Yeah, since nobody would want that lawsuit." Lena said.
"But to take Kitty of all things." Misaki said as Kitty starts to walk around with Miri following her.
"Brats like her will always want what they can't get. Or if they think they can just buy one." Akira sighs.
He would never let anyone else take Kitty away, and he hopes that girl's father would punish her for what she tried to do.
Kitty goes to his arms and he smiles holding her.
Hana saw the entire scene from a window.
"He really cares about his cat."
She smiles a bit since he wouldn't let someone as important as Kitty be taken away.
She goes back to the denliner, it's just so different being with Akira than her uncle. She can't put it but the feelings feel different.
Note: here is to have a moment to slow down a bit, as Akira just came back from the mission and had to deal with a bratty girl trying to take Kitty.
