It was the night of Halloween, home of the family, irregular but special. The young little girl, Vanet was dressed as a little witch and waited until her dad came downstairs
"Papa, you look amazing!" Vanet was beaming. XR was excited to dress up, and he was celebrating his first year as a husband . Last year or previous year he didn't get to have that Halloween time cuz he had work. That and his ex wanted a date on some planet. "I'll be back, going to help papa."
But this year he was getting to trick or treat with Vanet and his lovely date. The more reason he was happy was because he got to dress up in an actual costume! He's going to be this character that Vanet chose for him called Jack Skelly. He figured with a detachable head, he can carry his head around as a good scare and the fun part is his skin tone can change too so no need to paint his face. He wondered what Nos would be, seeing Vanet was not telling him anything about hers or Nos's costume. He thought maybe Nos would be a vampire or something spooky. He was already swooning at the idea of a hot vampire-
"We're ready!"
XR hearsVanet came down dressed as a little witch. "My my aren't you a cute spooky witch-" XR lost his voice when he saw Nos coming down the stairs. Nos was dressed in a stitched up suit with different clothing material and saw stitches painted across his mouth and over his eye. All he could do was feel blushed out by the sight. "Woah…!"
"I thought I might have overdid it but it seems to have had a great impact." Nos grins. "You look very handsome, love."
"Th-thanks, but you look amazing. It really fits you." XR was trying to control his heat up body and literally had to release steam.
"Dad, are you ok?" Vanet asked worriedly but Nos held her hand.
"He is just bedazzled by your design little bat. You are remarkable." Nos pats her head. "Go get your basket my dear." Nos sees her hurry to get her things.
XR waits a bit and then hugs nos from behind. "You really are looking hotter than the planet Venus, but you're way cooler than Uranus."
Nos stifles a bit until he laughs out loud, XR laughs with him and smiles. Being a space ranger and an agent had been a struggle, but when they got home it was their haven. Though he had to admit, it was going to be a home to five soon.
Long story short, interfacing between two special cores can make another but for Nos, they were having two and they were incubating inside Nos's very chest. He was more than excited and happy he got to have this with him. Though he had to admit, playing the waiting game was hard. It's been months now and he was wanting to see what happens next and what their babies were going to be!
"That was very corny my love." Nos looks at him and XR grins.
XR holds him close and places a hand over his chest. "So any sounds or movements? Something?"
"I am afraid nothing yet love, though I have been feeling calmer than before." Nos place his hand over his. "This is very new to me."
"Hey it's alright, no need to rush things and besides we got time to wait. I'm just excited about what they'll be like." XR grins.
Nos purrs and sees Vanet coming back bringing her candy bucket. "Ready!" She shouted and took both their hands and headed out together.

XR was surprised how much walking they had done a lot of trick or treating. He wasn't annoyed, far from it. He got to enjoy seeing Nos brighten like a jack o lantern and seeing him punch a spooky prop that was about to jump at Vanet was priceless. He even got to walk with them up to the door…. Though there were a few that scared the screws out of him like that house with pop out zombies.
They were having so much fun until they had to stop by Nosfer's cafe to take a break. It wasn't the break bothering him, he noticed Nos was a little out of breath.
They aren't organic, they have the whole parts and what not, but they don't act as a real thing
Nos was carrying two cores the size of a large hardball baseball so they were in his chest area.
Nos has not ever shown this amount of unusual behavior aside from drinking twice as much oil than he does.
XR let Vanet stay by her grandfather and walked over to his partner in love. "Nos everything ok? Was the walk too much?"
"I am not sure," Nos stood up and gripped the table of the booth. "I began feeling it right now-" Nos stumbles and falters but XR catches him. Never had Nos lost his footing like this and it scared XR. He picked up Nos like a bride and hurried out. "I'm taking Nos home! Somethings wrong!" He didn't get to hear them as he hurried in a sprint before his jet pack expanded from his back and he shot into the sky.
He holds Nos close and thinking what it is but all he can do was keep Nos's chest elevated as he flies across the sky. He can hear Nos groaning and growling, clinging to his chest.
"Hey kids, take it easy! Your daddy's not used to this!" He hoped it helped and saw Nos was a bit calmer now but still in some pain. "Almost home just please wait!" He sees home coming in view and lands as carefully as he can and rushes to unlock the door and carries Nos inside and hurries to the lab. He brings Nos on the table and watches Nos arches and roars from the pain.
"Ne-need strap down-!" Nos claws down the table. XR understands and presses a button and sees coils strap Nos down by his legs and hips and arms but not enough to cause damage. XR was worried but held Nos's hand in his as he watched his lover's chest open up to see the two cores were detaching themselves from Nos's core. XR carefully extends a limb from his sides, keeping his main hands comforting Nos. He allowed his hands to hold the core carefully only to yelp when those extra hands were absorbed by the cores.
"Ok so cores absorb any metallic objects, just great…" He was worried about what to do and needed to think fast. "Think think XR- wait I got it!" He extends another set but instead they stretch to Nos's spare parts of all kinds from them on the wall and grab rubber gloves. "Babe I'm so sorry but you can kill me later." He keeps his hands on his stomach area and on his hand while his spares are put on the gloves hoping it works. He, with gloves, cups the cores and relief to see they didn't get absorbed and carefully pulls them out as they were near to complete detaching from Nos. Nos bites down a roar and feels them finally unattached and XR places them in the nest like bed Nos made a week ago. He places their spare parts down and unstrap Nos who was trembling but looked ok. "OH thank stars you're ok." XR holds Nos.
"Th-the cores?" Nos clings to him with worry but hears some sounds and looks to the source of it. Both Nos and he looks to find the cores had wires sprouting out, and wrapping around.
"Is everything alright?!" Nosfer came down with Vanet behind but watches the process of the cores morphing and using the parts to make what they assume were bodies. Nos forcing to change to his robotic self, struggle to sit up after feeling so much relief and pain from the separation. However he got to see the process in awe until their forms were like babies.
XR cautiously walks over to touch the babies but stops and instead picks up the nest bed over to Nos and places it on his lap. "Vanet come and meet your siblings." XR gestures at her and she hurries over as did Nosfer but stands by sensing the babies might need to imprint. The trio were close with Nos in the middle and waited to see what happens but noticed they were tone different. Rather than blue or yellow, they were tinted two tones to a lime and a pale turquoise. But it did not matter to him, they were beautiful creations they made together.
The first to open their eyes was the lime one with the same CP designs as XR but instead of optics like stars, they were orange like Marigolds and yet so beautiful. The second baby had the same optics as her father XR, optics that shine like stars and shine so bright at them all. They both reached out to Nos and XR until they turned to Vanet and both babies wanted to go to her.
XR couldn't help but laugh until the lime one whimpered and XR stopped. "Sorry about that." XR reached but the baby was ready to cry. He changed to his robotic form. "I'm your other dad." XR waits and sees what the baby does. He holds his imaginary breath and relaxes when the baby goes to him. He sees the baby crawl to him and he instinctively holds the baby.
Nos lets the other baby crawl to Vanet and she gushes but he could not help but feel so overwhelmed and yet so exhausted. "What do you want to name them?" He looked at his family.
"Got a name, remember that one name you told me at the day we all three spent together?"
Nos took a moment and optics widened. "Nox."
"Yep, and he looks like a shining star that night." XR grins holding the baby and the baby nuzzles to him. "Plus it's a good name since we don't know the gender."
Nos felt his core vibrate and leaned to kiss him. "I love it." He leans a bit, the baby does the same and hears the little baby purr. Just as he was happy he perked at a nip and turned to see the other nipping his claw finger but chuckles when he sees the one with topaz optics, clinging to his hand. He carefully holds the other and the baby, unlike their twin, was fierce yet bubbly. He looks at XR and he grins.
"We were thinking of names, sir, and we found one." XR looks nervous, could you give us permission to name them after your wife? We don't know their gender yet but we want to give them this name in honor of her."
Nosfer looked at the small baby and reached to it only to see the baby nipping at the hand. He chuckles but he felt so happy to have this chance to see his grandchildren come into this world. He places Morticia back into the small nest bed. "Whichever gender this little one is, Morticia will always be special."
Nos feeling drained was falling asleep and the babies mimic their papa and began falling asleep with him.
