Beacon Academy: Peter Port's Classroom

(Link's POV)

Peter Port's class, by far the most exciting class... said nobody ever. It's not like he doesn't teach, but most of the class is him telling a story about himself in the past. I am sure he was a great huntsman in his day and if he didn't love to hear himself talk so much then he could be an amazing mentor, everyone needs a mentor more than a professor anyway but then again who am I to talk, I've had a mentor and tried mentoring myself, now both of them are gone and I'll never see them again.

Out of sheer boredom I look over to team RWBY but they are all fast asleep, well almost all of them although I wouldn't blame them if it was all. Yang is drooling all over her notebook but the school practically hands those out for free so she'll be okay with getting another one. Weiss has her face planted on the desk but she isn't fully asleep. I would say half asleep in a dozing off state because a minute or so later her head springs up to make it seem like she has been awake the whole time... unfortunately for her nobody buys it of course, but since only other students like myself notice and not Professor Port it ultimately means no consequences. Blake is doing her best to stay awake, but her drowsy eyes were noticeable and she was down for the count. I'm positive that she did not get good sleep the night before, she looked rough when class started. Meanwhile Ruby is the only wide awake one of her team, with some assistance from me. Yeah... I may have given her a bit of my coffee. A hyperactive Ruby is something I never want to see again, no offense to Ruby of course I think she would've been perfectly fine without coffee is all. Although she is kind of cute when she's so hyp-! Ugh! Never mind. Despite my admiration for Ruby I cannot get distracted and only think about her while I'm here. I need to get stronger and not just as a huntsman but mentally too, I cannot let anything else happen here that has happened to me before. I can rest easy since I will definitely be a lot safer now that I'm at an academy for huntsmen and huntresses as opposed to being alone and on the run, but I cannot stray away from my path which means no slacking off. I can say from my interactions with team RWBY I like everyone. Yang can bring life to any room or building with her upbeat attitude, it is almost insane how she is always in such a good and happy mood... I envy her in a way. Blake is quiet but really sweet, she might have the complex of an emotionally struggling, depressed person but that's just how he dresses and looks, behind all that is someone with a heart of gold who wants to make the world a better place for everyone. Lastly there's Weiss, I can tell she doesn't really like me but she comes off that way about almost everyone except Pyrrha and Ren. So there's no point in taking it personally but she does seem to admire me for the fact that Ozpin assigned me as the one man team, hopefully one day we can become actual friends and not just two people who only talk because one has something to gain from the other

Then there is team JNPR, they were fifty-fifty. Ren was awake and okay, but partially paying attention while also having to look at Nora, who was laying her head down on his textbook. Pyrrha is also paying attention while trying her absolute best to get Jaune to focus. Instead of listening to his much wiser teammate, he reads an X-Ray & Vav comic book... now that is some way to pass the time. X-Ray and Vav huh, those are some odd superhero names. I wonder who they are and who made them up? It looks like a parody comic but I imagine it's selling well. Jaune is nice but he's a really goofy guy and not that good at fighting. One could say I got lucky with getting accepted into Beacon because of how late of an enrollment I was but Jaune is the definition of lucky. I aim to say this in the nicest way possible, he should be at a beginners academy but luckily for him he has a great team around him, especially Pyrrha. That girl is going to make a huntsman out of Jaune. I am one hundred percent certain of that so there's that for her, she's readying herself up to be a teacher at such a young age. Aside from her obvious skills and talents as a huntress she is an actual angel, I really don't see a single thing wrong with her and I can't wait to get to talk to her some more. Nora is basically a shorter and not blonde version of Yang, a giant ball of energy that can light up any room and she is a job to be around, she may as well be Ruby on caffeine but twenty four seven. Ren I could compare to Blake but not nearly as much as I can compare Nora and Yang, he's just quiet and knowledgeable, I've been able to converse with him the most because they're short conversations, we agreed to help each other out sometime as he could use help with his hand to hand striking and I have zero clue about leg combat, any pointers there would be a huge benefit to me

Last but not least is me of course. I am not really paying that much attention to Professor Port but I do have my eyes set on a team of bullies known as CRDL. Cardin, Russel, Dove and Sky, who seem like the most privileged scumbags in all of Vale, they definitely had mommy and daddy's money growing up. I'm sick of Cardin picking on Jaune and all four of them together are always messing with this faunus girl who's name I learned is Velvet Scarlatina. She is an interesting girl, I've only run into once... quite literally. I accidentally dropped her books when I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Of course the four scumbags happened to be walking by too when it all happened because they encouraged and demanded I NOT help Velvet with her books and that they were 'dirty contaminated faunus books' but I obviously did not listen to them. I got some nasty glares from all four of them, not that I care really. I'm not scared of them, tougher opponents have come my way. Definitely tougher than anyone they have ever encountered. Unfortunately though, when I finished helping her pick the books up, she ran away… which was very strange. I wasn't expecting or demanding a thank you but I was hoping to get a chance to speak to her. Anyway, those four cowards always mess with her when she is by herself but of course, they would not do that if she were with her team. The girl with the sunglasses looks like she can beat them all up without even retrieving her weapon which looks to be something concealed in a handbag. Or hell, even that big guy alone could take all of CRDL in a fight, I just wish Jaune would grow a backbone and stand up to Cardin, I'm sure he can actually defeat him in a fight if he just had some confidence. As for Velvet, she shouldn't even have to consider fighting them let alone go through all the discrimination and prejudice she endures on a daily basis, and not even just from CRDL, other students join in and it makes me so angry because I don't want to go looking for fights but sometimes they make me wish I did not have as much patience as I do. Although to be fair, my patience isn't entirely unlimited... hehehe

(3rd Person POV)

Flashback: The Previous Day

"Owww it hurts!" Velvet cries out. "Please stop..." She begs

"Told you they were real..." Cardin laughs maniacally as he yanks on them one more time before letting her go

"Hahaha what a freak." Russel speaks as the rest of the CRDL team laughed at the poor faunus as she walked away, covering her face in humiliation.

Both RWBY and JNPR watch it happen in real time, each person is angry clear as day and wanting to do or say something, only to ultimately not take action. Although they do show plenty of sympathy for Velvet whilst they mumble about how Cardin is not the only one who hates and discriminates on faunus' for no good reason other than simply being different and wondering how hard it must be to be a faunus. On the other hand... Link was ready to take immediate action

"Grrr..." Link observes the cruelty that just takes place with anger seething from him, the boy who is the coveted one man sits alone despite open arms from RWBY and JNPR to sit at their table with Ruby and Pyrrha asking him to join them, both young women were given polite no's.. He tightly holds onto his mug and as soon as Russel mumbled the word 'freak', he stands up and balls up his fists, ready to confront them despite not being armed and in a one versus four

"Ha ha ha!" Cardin stands high and mighty as his sheep-like teammates laugh along with him

Link furiously marches towards the cocky team and his actions do not unnoticed as more and more students turn his way

"Uh oh." Jaune blinks and points in their direction

"What's he doing?" Weiss frowns

"It looks like he's about to do what we want to do to Cardin." Yang smirks

"Ooooo yes please! I wanted to do it myself but as long as it gets done I'm happy!" Nora claps in excitement

"W-well, we can't just let him fight in the cafeteria." Weiss stands up but someone quickly grabs her arm to stop her

"They won't fight." Blake whispers. "We might not know a lot about Link but Cardin and his friends wouldn't risk their spot at this academy over a fight."

Link finishes his march right behind Cardin and gives him the roughest push he can deliver with all the strength in his body. The push does not disappoint as Cardin falls stomach first to the ground

"Who the hell just did that!?" Cardin rushes to his feet and without hesitation throws a hard punch at his 'assailant'

"Hmph!" Link shakes his head and with one quick side step, a raise of his arm and full extension of his hand, he re-directs the powerful but not calculated punch off further to the left, coming nowhere close to land on his cheek. "Is that all?"

"Grrr!" Cardin attempts to grab Link by his shirt and completely overpower him but Link slips his arms underneath Cardin's, he swipes the big hand that wants to grab him up in the air and gives the CRDL leader another shove. This one is more powerful, with both of Link hands putting plenty of power in the push, sending Cardin back to the ground butt first this time

"Hey what's your deal guy?!" Spoke Russel with his light-green mohawk as he walks in front of Cardin and stands face to face with Link. "Leave us alone we're just discussing team stuff."

"Oh team stuff? Does that involve bullying people?" Link shakes his head and does not break eye contact

"Hey!" Dove speaks as he gets up. "We don't tell you how to go about your day so let us be."

"Yeah, our business has nothing to do with you." The fourth member Sky chimes in. "Back off!"

"I saw how you treated that girl and I've seen how you treat other people too. Faunus or not, considering this as me making it my business." Link keeps open hands, ready to deflect and parry any incoming strikes, knowing he cannot commit to direct offense against four people while unarmed

"You got a death wish?" Cardin stands back up and pulls Russel back effortlessly

"Is that a threat?" Link raises an eyebrow but even with all four members of the team in his face, he lets out a calm exhale and shows no fear. "Because I have some bad news for you, I'm not scared of you."

"You better be, punk!" Cardin laughs and pops his knuckles

"..." Link shuts his eyes and begins to lightly bounce on his feet back and forth, showing an usual fighting stance

"What the hell are you doing?" Dove questions as his jaw almost drops to the ground in disbelief. "Are you just that much of a worthless huntsman? I'm sure there's a dancing academy you can transfer to."

"And you love talking so much, maybe instead of Cardin's pet you could be a politician." Link opens his eyes and scowls

"That's it!" Dove slams his hand on the table loudly

All heads turn and eyes are focused on the fight about to ensue until a familiar person steps in the fray, almost as if he appeared behind Link out of absolutely nowhere

"Having a nice day now are we students?" Professor Ozpin's voice is heard as he places his hand on Link's shoulder and gives him a light squeeze

"H-huh? Oh yes, splendid day." Link smiles and slowly his bouncing comes to a halt

"Y-yeah." Cardin clears his throat, attempting to sound professional and stern as he slaps Russel and Dove's chests with the back of both of his hands. "Isn't that right guys?"

"Y-yes sir." Russel says but Dove and Sky say nothing, the only nod along with their teammates

"Good, I wouldn't want any trouble in your first semester." Professor Ozpin takes a sip out of his mug and passes by the five students, he keeps his gaze on CRDL, who stop every form of joking and laughing they were doing earlier. With all four members, especially Cardin going quiet

The millisecond that Professor Ozpin leaves the cafeteria, team CRDL turn back to continue where they left off, but they are stunned to see Link walk away nonchalantly

"What the-! Get back here we aren't done!" Cardin slams his fist on the table he and his team sit at

"Maybe some other time?" Link sarcastically replies as he goes back to his table, he receives a mixture of gasps and cheers for standing up to the bullies

Later on in the day: Beacon Academy Dormitories

Link comes out from his dorm in his regular attire and with all of his weapons and other gear on him. After some time walking around the dorms, he notices Velvet still in her uniform heading back to her dorm as well and sometimes inside him says he must watch her carefully. He purposely stays back a good amount of space and follows Velvet closely.

"...This may be considered stalking, but I just want to make sure she makes it to wherever she is going with no issues." Link slowly trails behind her, doing his best to blend in with the shadows from the curtains but for the most part having to stay an entire hallway behind

"OH LOOK WHO WE HAVE HERE!" Cardin laughs hysterically

The laughter is followed by the three other CRDL members who reveal themselves coming from around a corner, conveniently bumping in Velvet who is all alone and at a disadvantage. She is outnumbered and the four bullies have their gear on

"It's the freak..." Sky and Dove say at the same time as Russel begins to throw tiny carrots at Velvet

"Go on, fetch you animal!" Russel laughs

"We don't want to be anywhere near you the same way you don't want to be near us, so do us a favor and scram, yeah?" Cardin nods for Velvet to turn around and walk the other way

"I just have to get back to my dorm... and it's that way going past you." Velvet mumbled. "Please, I don't want any trouble."

"What was that?!" Cardin walks up to her, his hand extending and teasing going for his mace

"Don't do it..." Link says to himself. "Touch her and I will do a lot more than just push you this time. I will hurt you."

"I-I-I-!" Velvet stalls and looks around, hopeful that someone will hear them and put a stop to this

"You nothing!" Cardin shouts and looks down at her. "We run the show around here, understood? You're just a worthless animal and we can't stand looking at your kind. And if you even try to do anything... well just don't, you're outnumbered so it's best if you just walk away and go the long way because we're tired of looking at you." He reaches for his mace again, this time his hand actually makes contact with his weapon

"And who says she is outnumbered?" Link frowns and steps out of the shadows, he slowly approaches team CRDL. "I've had enough of this cowardly behavior. It ends now."

"Who the hell is this?" Sky peaks out from behind Cardin and frowns. "Oh great it's him again."

"Yeah, me again. I'm somebody who overheard what you just said to this girl... and somebody who won't stay quiet no matter how many people go out of their way to discriminate against someone like her just for being the slightest bit different. Look at her, you see someone this nice and quiet and your first instinct is to pick on her because of her ears, that is disgusting behavior." Link shakes his head, "I'm making this clear, as of this day if you have a problem with her, you have a problem with me. Got it?" The one person team angrily stops and instinctively gets in front of Velvet with his arms crossed and eyes narrowed

"T-thank you." Velvet whispers and tugs at his arm softly

"No problem..." Link nods and in the process he reaches behind him and gives her hand a light squeeze

"Back off kid. You seriously don't want to get on our bad side, we can make your life worse than Arc's and this wild beast." Cardin walks towards Link and attempts to shove him, but Link catches his hand and pushes him back instead, with twice as much force and almost exactly like their sequence occurs in the cafeteria

"If I wanted to, I could take you all down right here and right now, but I have to make sure this nice girl gets to her dorm without any issues." Link chuckles and backs up to stand side by side with Velvet, he puts a hand on her shoulder, assuring her safety

"What is she, your girlfriend?!" Cardin rolls his eyes

"If she was, you would already be unconscious Cardin, and hey why don't you follow us to her dorm so you can pull this stunt in front of her team?" Link looked at Velvet and nods, she in return also nods

"Why do those imbeciles need to be involved?" Dove grunts

"Because you four are cowards and it is so obvious. Do this in front of her team, I DARE you. But I'm sure you'll get your comeuppance soon enough, you're going to 'outnumber' the wrong person or monster and suffer the consequences, severely." Link addresses Dove but does not look in his direction, choosing to keep his gaze on Cardin, "Now then, will you all rush me at the same time intelligently but cowardly as you always act or will I face all of you one by one like people with guts and backbone?" He asks knowing he would trigger Cardin or all of them

"Stop smiling and take us seriously!" Cardin shouts and with one hand he grabs his mace, lifts it in the air and brings it down with brute force, intending to hit both Link and Velvet at the same time despite it being such a difficult thing to achieve

"I see, so your entire offense is based around power and nothing else." Link nods and lightly shoves Velvet away from harm, choosing to do this means he cannot reach for his sword or shield, knowing he'd have no time

The lone huntsman lifts both hands up and with his forearms he successfully blocks the attack. He winces only a little bit, but still smiles despite the massive weapon inches away from his face

"I sure am glad to have the power of aura and these metal gauntlets." Link says to himself as he holds firmly onto his position, never giving Cardin a chance to cause any significant damage

"What the-!" Cardin frowns and applies more force, practically all of the veins in his neck and face pop out. "How are your hands still attached to your body?!"

"Pure luck and perfect timing. Although, now that you've had your chance to attack, it's my turn!" Link's smile turns into a frown and he manages to out strength Cardin after what seemed to be minutes of struggling. He pushes Cardin back and is finally able to reach for one of his weapons, his shield.

Link is able to block another straight mace attack without any harm being done to him. After withstanding every bit of the attack, he pushes Cardin back yet again, but this time instead of just using all his force to send Cardin crashing on his butt or stumbling, he notices the team CRDL leader leaving himself wide open.

"Big mistake!" Link drops his shield, rushes Cardin, and connects with a flying kick to the midsection. Initially the kick looks like it does nothing as Link goes to the ground himself but it proves effective as Cardin falls down to one knee.

"Is that all?!" Cardin laughs with confidence, which fades immediately as he holds his ribs

"No, that's just a warm up." Link chuckles and he lies back; knowing the fight isn't over, he lets out a sigh and within seconds he is up to his feet with a swift kip up

"Russel, Sky, Dove, get him!" Cardin commands his team as the rest of them surround Link, all with their weapons at hand

"Alright then the coward's route it is..." Link grabs what looks to be a regular steel bow, only for it to turn into a small double crossbow in an instant

"That won't help you kid." Russel grins, clearly confident that despite how good Link may be, the boost in confidence comes from convincing himself that he wouldn't be able to handle a four on one bout

"What's all of this?" Three members of what seemed to be Velvet's team, approach team CRDL, Velvet and Link. Each of the three students have something in common, they all wear the color brown in some way

"Coco..." Velvet mumbles

"Hey jackasses, don't interrupt my teammate while she's on a date, that's just rude." Coco narrows her eyes, which were barely visible through her sunglasses, she takes a good look at Link and smiles warmly at him

"Coco!" Velvet frowns and turned her head for a brief scoff, a faint blush spreads across her face

"I'm just kidding, but still, Cardin how pathetic are you? Four on one against Velvet and now four on one against another guy. Yatsuhashi, behind me." Coco calls out, as she and Yatsuhashi were quick to draw their weapons, the fourth teammate stays back, clearly confident that Coco and Yatsuhashi can handle team CRDL, just the two of them

"We're not cowards damn it! You better stop saying that!" Cardin forces himself to stop holding his ribs in order to look tough while he holds onto his mace tightly with both hands

"Stop!" Link throws his arm out, stopping Coco and Yatsuhashi in their tracks. "Coco is it? I started this fight, so please, allow me to finish it, you can enjoy the show."

"Hm?" Coco stops and does not unleash what is in her handbag.

She frowns but also shows a bit of admiration for Link, appreciative of the complete stranger who stands up for Velvet when nobody else was there to help her

"Now then Cardin, where were we?" Link holds his crossbow with his left hand and picks up his shield, promptly holding it firmly with his right.

"Lucky shot, that's all." Cardin once again runs full speed at Link, swinging 'The Executioner' with full power

"Hmph!" Link aims his crossbow and fires two arrows, which were blocked by the impact of Cardin's mace swing, "Checkmate!" The one man team backs away, drops his crossbow and grabs only the handle of his sword which hangs on his back, he aims to take it out of the sheath for his next attack

"Haha too slow!" Cardin drives his mace down onto Link's shield. Standing tall and firm he is able to put more and more pressure on Link's defense, leaving himself exposed yet again

"Thank you Cardin." Link smirks as his left eye begins to glow a bright gold color, his iris too changes color, going from blue to gold, a small triforce engraved on his left hand lights up and so do the designs around his sheath, clothing and sword.

SLASH!

"What the-!" Before Cardin can even process what he sees right before his own eyes, he falls to the ground but this time on both knees. The leader of team CRDL holds his side yet again and there is a clear cut going from his stomach all the way around his body and ending on his back.

Cardin's aura was shattered, but the slash was not life threatening, worse case is simply blood spillage from the wound. The leader of this team of bullies remains in the same place, it was Link who is completely gone from where he was once standing. He is finally spotted and is past Cardin but in between Russel, Sky and Dove. All while holding his pose of kneeling downwards with his sword sticking out in an attacking position in one hand while Link's other hand holds up his shield as if it was actively defending a strike. The boy smiles at the rest of team CRDL as he put his sword back in its sheath

"Do any of you want more? Because I can keep fighting and outlast all of you!" Link looks around at the remaining CRDL members who are stunned

"This guy is too good, let's get out of here!" Russel barks out an order at Sky and Dove as acting leader in place of Cardin. The three friends and teammates of Cardin proceed to grab the injured leader and his mace before swiftly running away. With not a single one of them turning to face Link, Velvet, Coco, Yatsuhashi or the unnamed fourth teammate

"Well then that will hopefully put those four lowlifes in their place." Link smiles in triumph and picks up the crossbow he threw on the ground for the sole purpose of baiting Cardin to attack. He taps the button behind the trigger, which makes it turn into a regular bow again, "I should be on my way now." He mumbles and starts to walk away

"Whoa whoa whoa... why are you leaving so soon?" Coco grabs onto Link by his collar and holds him in place with an impressive showing of strength. "Introduce yourself friend. I mean you definitely weren't just passing by coincidentally and happened to make the save for Velvet right?"

"You would be correct Coco, I was coming out of my dorm to take a walk." Link nods as he motions for Coco to let go of him. "...And I have seen Velvet get bullied by those losers earlier too, of course they wouldn't do it when she is around you three."

"You followed me..." Velvet cut herself off mid-sentence. "To protect me? But why? He doesn't even know me."

"Yeah I kind of stalked you when I saw you walking alone, what can I say, I worry about people." Link chuckles and playfully shrugs his shoulders

"I don't know how to thank you in another way besides saying thank you but how about some introductions. My name is Coco, he's Fox, that's Yatsuhashi and of course you know Velvet since you're her stalker. And together we are team CFVY." Coco introduced the whole team, specifically pointing out who is who despite Link already having an idea, with the exception being Fox

"I'm Link." Link waves. "Nice to meet you all... wait a second. Did you call me a stalker!?"

"Where are your teammates?" Velvet shyly asks. "It was so amazing of you to take on all of them on your own but next time please don't put yourself in so much risk."

"Teammates?" Link raises an eyebrow but instantly he realizes that not everyone is aware just yet. "Oh right, no worries it'll get old soon. I do not have any teammates Velvet, I guess you could say I am a one person team. Professor Ozpin allowed me to be my own team since there were not any other students to pair me up with. Well it's complicated, there were enough students. I would assume some of the people launched in the forest didn't do well enough because we did already start out with an uneven amount of people, then I ended up alone regardless. Either way no complaints from me, I don't work well with others anyway." He nods repeatedly. "And probably other reasons…"

"WOW, okay that is actually really cool." Coco lifts up her sunglasses to look Link directly in the eye. "You must be crazy strong then."

"So I've heard. I won't be delusional and claim I'm the best or even strong, not yet anyway. I want to earn it, not have it handed to me." Link smiles. "Anyways, I really shouldn't waste anymore of your time; I should leave you guys be."

"Oh already? What a shame but at least we have a name and good personality to put to the face that just helped out my teammate in a big way. Goodbye Link and don't be a stranger okay? I hope to see you around again." Coco waves

"Yeah, maybe we can all meet up some other time and hang out. I would like that very much, for now though see you all later." Link nods and walks away

"T-thank... THANK YOU" Velvet calls out and her words stop Link in his tracks

"No problem Velvet. It was my pleasure, those four don't know the meaning of respect and I'm glad I put them in their place. Sorry for not doing it sooner, you didn't deserve to be bullied like that." Link raises his hand in the air and waves without turning around as he walks off in the distance. "See ya around!"

"Don't be sorry..." Velvet mumbles but her words are not heard by the boy she intended on telling. "It was very nice how you stood up for me."

"Yes, that was very kind and the right thing to do." Fox puts a hand on Velvet's shoulder, then notices a faint blush across her face. "Do you like him?"

"What?!" Velvet shakes her head and walks forward, finally able to walk back to her dorm in peace without any more bullies or fights getting in her way. "No no no, I'm just really grateful because of what he did for me."

"Aww Velvet's in love, that's cool." Coco teasingly says as she, Fox and Yatsuhashi follow closely behind Velvet

"A-am not." Velvet shakes her head one more time. "I could not possibly be in love, I barely even know him."

Present time

"Good times" Link chuckles

"Almost! Got! It!" Ruby squints her eyes at her 'notes' as she finishes what she has been drawing the entire class with precision and speed

"What'cha got there...?" Yang wakes up out of nowhere and snatches the drawing from Ruby, seeing that it was not what she expected. "Awww she was drawing herself and Link fist bumping this is actually really swe-!"

"Give it back!" Ruby dramatically squeals and jumps on Yang's back, the two sisters fight for possession of the drawing

"Ladies one at a time I will take questions from both of you when the class is over." Professor Port calls out as he thinks they are fighting to get their hand raised to be called on

The two sisters are now too focused on fighting each other that they do not even realize the drawing was no longer in any of their possessions, but it falls into the grasp of...

"Hmmm..." Link observes the picture closely

"Ah! Link I can explain you see-!" Ruby attempts to begin a sentence but it is all to distract Link as she tries to rapidly take it back

"Whoa!" Link pulls his arm away, just about thwarting Ruby's plan, "Hey it's cool, it's a nice drawing." He smiles as he looks at the picture closely, "I like it, you need to finish the fists though, because right now it looks like we're holding hands and I'm sure that isn't your intention." Link nods and extends his arm to hand the drawing back to Ruby

"Give me that twerp!" The voice of Cardin is unfortunately audible as he reaches down and grabs the paper himself, his team conveniently happens to be sitting a row above

"Hey!" Ruby frowns

"Relax, I just want to take a look. See what all the fuss is about since the three of you got all loud."

Cardin lets out an overexaggerated and ridiculous laugh as he proceeds to show his teammates Ruby's drawing. All four of them do not hesitate to ridicule what she worked so hard on to draw, which makes her ball up her fists in frustration and draws the attention of a familiar foe

"Hey." Link narrows his eyes at Cardin, followed by Russel, then Sky, and lastly Dove. "You can give that back now, please and thank you."

"Excuse me?" Cardin raises an eyebrow

"I said... you can give that back now." Link shifts all his focus onto the leader of the bullies

"Yeah we heard you but I did not ask you to repeat yourself, now be quiet before I rip this thing to shreds."

"I already asked nicely and normally I would keep asking nicely but I don't like any of you so you can give it back or else we can have another impromptu match, this time in Professor Port's classroom, the choice is yours." The corners of Link's mouth rise slyly

"Cardin maybe we shouldn't-!"

"Quiet Russel." Cardin growls and rolls his eyes as he extends his arm and gently hands the drawing back

"Thanks." Link smirks and hands the drawing back to Ruby

"Oh my goodness that was so cool." Ruby whispers to not be heard by the people she talks about

"You fought them?" Weiss mumbles with one eye open. "That's what I got from that considering you said impromptu match, is it true?"

"Let's just say they were picking on that poor faunus girl Velvet yet again and I decided to do more than just shoving this time." Link nods

"Wow..." Weiss softly smiles before it immediately goes back to a frown. "You need to be more careful, that's two fights you've gotten yourself in now."

"Oh whatever, if it means knocking those jerks down many pegs, I'm all for it." Ruby cackles

"Agreed." Blake looks at Link and smiles warmly. "You did a very nice thing and I wish more people got to witness it."

"Likewise." Link smiles back

"It's still very irresponsible." Weiss sighs

Link opens his mouth to respond but before he gets a chance to respond kindly to Weiss, it is Professor Port who takes over by loudly clearing his throat to make an announcement

"That will be all for today." Professor Port loudly says, "Be sure to bring back all your wonderful notes, for we will be taking a quiz next time we meet. Run along now students, make good decisions, stay out of trouble and remember that you are the future of Beacon Academy." As soon as he finishes, everybody rushes to sprint out of the class

"Did Link really think they were holding hands... it didn't look that way to me?" Yang wonders what this means until it ultimately slips her mind as she, the rest of her team, JNPR, Link, and other students race to their next class
