Kyriak found herself being a mischievous child with gon and killua, exploring the airship that was taking them to the next exam. Wherever that may be.

"Oh, look at this! It looks like a diamond!" gon pointed out of a window, pointing to the city lights below them.

She tilted her head in thought, "I never seem a diamond look like that..."

"Really? You've seen a diamond" gon exclaimed in surprised while killua looked at her with interest.

She nodded, "I make Jewely as well as weapons, sometimes people ask for custom made ones with gems"

"Suigo!" the boys exclaimed from either side of her.

"Ne~ killua?" gon started.

"Yeah..." killua glanced towards the other boy.

"Have you got parents?" kyriak tilted her head eyes flickering between the two. How did the conversation take a turn? Was it because the author needed it to continue?

"Yes, of course."

"What do they do?" gon asked intrigued, next to him kyriak perked up interested.

"Assassins" came killua blunt reply.

"Both of them?" gon line of questioning continued.

"Phaf" killua let out a sound before breaking into laugher Apon seeing gons serious face and kyriak curious one.

"You really got me going! That's the first time someone's listened to me seriously and asked me that afterwards!" killua turned toward them.

"Why? It's true, isn't it?" questioned kyriak, not seeing the issue most would have it you had professional killers for parents.

"What makes you say that?"

"Nothing really" gon answered for her.

"you're really strange you can never tell if you're serious or if you're joking. That's what give you your charm"

"Oh?"

Killua turned towards the night sky out the window – though it didn't look like a diamond it did look like glittering Jewels or a reflection of the stary skies on the ground. Kyriak concentrated on killua words – making sure to paid attention to the slivernette words. It was hard but she managed to get the jist of it. Lots of pressure of the family because he's the heir, does that means he's the oldest? Wanted to break free, stabbed his mum and brother while he ran away.

"Phf-hahahaha!" killua broke down into laugher, pointing at kyriak. "You got a serious look on your face."

Kyriak pouted, turning her face away from the boy. "I was trying to listen, meanie!"

"Eh?" killua stopped laughing before sending a small smirk her way a mischievous smile on his face, "does that mean you care for me~"

"Shush meanie! It was hard!" kyriak pouted, trying to keep the redness from embarrassment from spreading.

Gon glanced between the two and tilted his head, he wasn't 100% sure what was going on but he could guess. "Eh kyriak?" he asked.

"Yeah," she turned towards him, blocking killua off who shrugged and leaned forward chin almost resting on the girl's shoulder.

"What about your parents?"

"My parents?" she questioned a finger on her chin, head tilted and stared off into the distance. "Well, I have no idea"

"Huh?"

"I was born in meteor city... Or kind of dumped there who knows. But I got picked up my way papa when I was six, He's the hunter that trained me, and took me how to be a blacksmith, a craftsman. So, He's kind of me papa but He's not technically you know"

"Your dads a hunter as well? Do you think he know my dad?" gon asked excited.

"I don't know, probably" she stated with a smile. A smile that froze as a sensation crawl up her spine. As well as the spines of her male companions. All three jumped off the seat, gon and killua looking towards the location of the presences while kyriak glanced about; the presences having vanished.

Sliver hues locked onto the walking form of chairman, "what's happening?" the old man questioned.

"Netero-san didn't you have the sensation somebody was closing in from there?" gon asked pointing down the other corridor.

"No" the older man stated, while killua stared at him.

"you're really fast for you age..." the slivernette said staring to the man while kryiak glanced between the two curious about the interaction. "You think?" Netero questioned, "i was just walking without haste"

Kyriak blinked in surprise spotting the lighting that suddenly appeared between the staring pair. Hmmm... she pouted narrowing her eyes slightly does that mean... Netero-san was the one that caused the presence? He wouldn't have been lying then. Gon glanced between the three in confusion, unsure what was occurring as killua spoke voice cold.

"What do you want? Got nothing to do until the finals?"

"Such coldness!" the old man responded not a hint of anything on his voice, true to his position as head of the community. "I'm bored so I was looking for someone to play with"

Kyriak ear perks up a bit at the word play, but zoned out when the chairman asked about how they were finding it. She zoned back in for a moment as killua grab her hand and started to pull the two away. "We're wasting our time, let's go"

"Wait!" Netero voiced called, "don't you want to play with me? Why don't we play a little game"

Kyriak froze before dragging killua who was still holding her hand and in turn gon, "a game?" she spoke stars appearing in her eyes, "I know a few why don't we play a game Netero-san!?" she grinned.

Netero looked towards her, "we're playing one of my games kyriak." she pouted and was about to protest when Netero continued. "I know Thorin and he likes to speak of your deadly games. I'm surprise no one had fallen victim to your playing."

She pouted then turned away, "I like these lot and the game?"

"If you win. I'll give you the title of hunter!" that got the attention on the group.

She could never say no to a game. No many the cost.

The group stopped in a large room the old man having changed into a dark vest bounced a ball onto his head before balancing it on his finger tip. "we've still got time before we reach the next trail ground... if you can take this ball you win. You're free to attack me anyway you'd like! I won't hit back!"

Kyriak listened along her eyes zoned in completely on the ball, like a cat spotting its prey or more precisely when it spotted a shiny peck of light.

"We just have to take the ball, right?" killua confirmed, intrigued by the older man little game. "Alright I'll start"

Killua stepped forward into the space, while gon and kyriak stayed back to watch. She blinked noting the boy multiple copies. "Ah he knows it too" she muttered out Lound.

"There are multiple killua's?!, ah!" gon exclaimed quietly before registering what Kyirak had said, "wait you know how to do that too"

"yup" she nodded as killua when for the ball. No matter what the young assassin wasn't able to get the ball. Killua gritted his teeth before aiming a kick to Netero'spivotal leg only to be on the end of the pain.

"AIIIIIIIIE!" killua exclaimed bouncing on footed while clutching his own injured leg. "His leg is as hard as a rock!" killua groaned before tapping out. Gon tapping in. She frowned wanting to go next, only to fold her arms and rock on her feet watching the little game.

It was Gon's turn.

Instead of the sly approach killua tried, he when for a frontal attack. Kyriak watch with interest as gon seem to disappear – the old man dropping his guard for a moment before a thud was heard. Gon had jumped – hitting his head on the ceiling about them.

Kyriak snorted before letting out a little giggle, as killua scolded the other boy who rubbed his head sheepishly. Gon and the chairman continued to dance about the room the latter keeping the ball away from the former at all times. It wasn't until gon hit the ceiling again did he tap out.

She couldn't contain it anymore. "My turn!" she exclaimed jumping to her feet. Skipping towards the centre of the room. She put her hand into the long arm fold of her kimono her Nen increasing as she did so only to pause as the old man word stopped her actions.

"Nope, not in the rules!" the man grinned.

"What, but you sai-"

"No," he stated slowly glancing towards the other two younger boys.

Kyriak pouted in annoyance before glancing about what to do what to do. "Meanie!"

She vanished, from sight only to reappearing behind Netero bring a wooden geta down towards the man's head. Netero bounced the ball upwards twisting sideway the foot slamming into the floor where he had been standing. A cheeky smile on his face as he dodged out of the way of knife-like swipe of the girls out stretch hand. The chairman caught the falling ball and the younger pair watched her kimono fluttering with the movement.

The game of cat and mouse continued for a while, kyriak never ever to land a blow on the dodging male.

Kyriak pouted. She was losing to the old man. And she HATED losing.

It didn't help the fact that physically the old man was holding back. It was a blow to the ego, that was for sure.

"We'll get nowhere like that!" Netero chuckled, "I'll let all of you attack me at the same."

Kyriak glanced at killua and nodded in agreement. Gon, killua and kyriak all attacked the old man at the same time. Not that it helped much. Netero was chairman of the hunter association for a reason – the man experience and physically capabilities out class the three by miles it was laughable.

Kyriak stood back a moment patting she could feel the sweat dip down her back as exhaustion pulled at her limbs. She frowned staring at the man. How was he still going? Without using an arm and leg? He still looks like he's taking a walk in a park? Am I really that outmatched... Maybe I could make some...

Her thoughts drifted being taken as gon swung a leg upwards – his shoe slipping off as he did so. The vermillion head was so wrapped up in her thoughts she completely blanked the ball rolling towards her on the floor. The serious nature as netero put a bit more power into the lunge, getting the ball before both boys could.

She zoned back in feeling a hand wrap around her wrist. "We give up! I lost, let's go kyriak, gon"

Sliver hues locked onto the blue ones of killua as he started pulling her to the door. "We lost?" she questions with a pout. "What do we lose?"

"Nothing, it's just a game without anything to lose" killua stated in confusion.

"bu-" she was cut off as gon stated he was going to stay and try from a little longer.

Only to be told by killua that the old man was holding back and gon being his stubborn self-decided to stay anyway. Kyriak shrug letting killua pull her along. A frown on her face. After the pair left gon turned towards the chairman. Asking about the trip killua had used at the start – which the older man happily explained.

"ne ne~ what did you mean about kyriak deadly games?"

Netero glanced down at the boy beside him, "I suppose I could tell you... Kyriak... there was a situation. That I don't know the full details so don't even ask." he stated glancing at the gon (the question dying on his lips) before continuing, "afterwards whenever kyriak hear playing a game she plays no matter what, its drilled into her in a way. However, don't let her chose the game nor the rules if she drags you into it – it has the potential to become deadly."

Gon nodded, "it should be okay! I'm sure, me and killua can handle it!" the younger boy grinned with pure innocent.

"You might as well inform the others of your little group. Thorin, her father, would be upset if I let her friend die"

"Yup, kyriak and killua are really great!" gon stated turning back towards the door, before quickly twisting ground aiming for the ball balancing on netero finger.

"Naive!" grinned netero.

-meanwhile-

She followed the topless boy; he had let go of her hand to take off the sweaty layers and continued walking with the vermillion-coloured girl following close behind. The pair in silence as as for it to be broken by two other participants deliberately walking into the slivernette.

"Man, you're sweaty!" doomed idiot one stated

"Hey kid! You could at least say excuse me!" doomed idiot two growled.

Killua ignored the pair and started to walk away.

"Oh! Kid, rude!" doomed idiot two yelled.

"Let's teach you a lesson" doomed idiot one scowled, reaching out to grab the younger assassin.

Only for the pair to be ripped apart by the irritated assassin.

Kyriak blinked, looking for the shredded bodies to the now bloodied killua.

"Ne~ killua!" she called hoping over the bodies making sure not to step into the puddles of blood on the floor.

"kyriak! You're here!" killua paled, fearing the worse "I though you gone" he muttered quietly.

She tilted her head, "but you dragged me along..."

"I..." killua drifted off, unsure make to say, he had been wrapped up in his bloodlust he forgotten about her? And if she had been in the incorrect spot – he could have killed her too.

She glanced at the boy in confusion, before looking back to the bodies on the floor. "Should we leave them here? Or throw them out the window?"

Killua blinked, before letting out a snort. "You see me kill these two and you want to know whether we should throw them out the window?"

She nodded as killua let out a chuckled.

Kyriak watched the boy in confusion. Why was he laughing? Did she say something funny? To her dead bodies were normal, it was a daily occurrence to see dead bodies – she grew up in and near metero city. It tended to be usually not to see the dead and rotting on the streets.

Though it still wasn't the worse thing she seen before. It was tame compared to it.

There are worser things than death.

"Come let's get to cleaned up! Their blood might make you ill!" she pointed out, grabbing his wrist dragging him to the closest bathroom, while the other boy chuckled.

Neither of the pair noticing the pin covered figure standing and watching the pair from the corner.
