"To all passengers. We are ready to land!" a crackly voice called from overhead.
Kyriak blinked awake wearily, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she did so. She lifted her head off the warm pillow she had been sleeping on, a frown on her face. She had been comfy.
"Sleep well?" the amuse voice of killua entered her ears.
She glanced to the side, where her warm pillow had been located...
A pillow which turned out to be a human.
Sleepily she nodded letting out a yawn as she struggled to her feet. Completely obvious to the fact she had been curled into killua side – hugging him sideways as she slept. Killua snorted glancing to one side, before grabbing her hand and pulling her along. The sleepy girl not even blinking in surprise as the pair stepped out of the airship onto the tall circler structure? Kyriak wasn't sure still half asleep.
The wannabe hunters gathered around them, looking with interest at the tall strong structure before turning their attention to the green bean figure – who in turn explained that the third trail for the hunter exam was here and that all the individuals needed to do was get to the bottom of the tower alive within a time period of 72 hours.
Kyriak nodded, like she understood. Which she did from the most part.
She stood on the edge of the giant tower watching as the pro climber slowly made his descend. "Ah look!" gon muttered pointing out to the dark shapes slowly making their way towards the giant tower.
"Oh... He's a dead man..." kyriak muttered watching at the dark shapes grew into strange flying creatures that seemed to have large teeth and almost human like faces.
"I don't think going down that wall is a good idea" leorio muttered from beside kurapika.
"There must be... a trap door that leads us inside" kurapika concluded turning back towards the main roofing of the tower.
The vermillion haired girl, glanced about noting the lessening of people before letting go of killua hands only to hear the click of the flooring beneath her. "Oh no..." the mutter glancing down to the shifting floor panel.
Killua and gon both turned towards her in question only to note her frozen figure slowly fall into the hole being appearing under her feet.
Vanishing from sight.
Killua sighed, running a hand though his hair while gon ran to where she'd previously been.
"oh no, indeed" the slivernette murdered before joining gon in their investigation.
Kyriak landed with a clank on her wooden geta looking about the dark stone room with interest. Though internally she was missing her friends – third trail and she was all alone.
Or so she thought.
Click. click. clack.
Sliver hues darted towards the noise. Golden pins standing out in the dim light as the male stepped into view.
With clanky movement – almost like ticking clockwork he rose a hand. Kyriak stared at him before stepping forward noting what he held. A bracket looking watch. Similar to what he had on. She took it before placing it on her wrist hidden by her sleeve.
"Now that our second person has joined us. We shall begin!" a voice echoed throughout the room. Kyriak stared at the other male who looked towards the now unlocking doorway. "This is the path of the twins! Forever joined together, you two have to make it to the bottom of the tower together. Can't leave the other behind or dead."
"Oh!" she blinked before turning to the male. "Hi! I'm kyriak Emberly!" she introduced herself, "What are your pins made of? Are they Nen? Bronze? Gold?" she started firing off questions.
The blue haired mohawk male stare down at her before responded, the clicks and clacks echoing throughout the room as his jaw moved. "Gittarackur"
"That's a cool name!" She grinned before stepping forward grabbing the man's hand in her own pulling him forward towards the doorway.
Gittarackur, or a disgusted Illumi couldn't tell whether the small girl was an idiot or fearless for grabbing onto a stranger's hand in a middle of a deadly exam for hunters.
Usually, he wasn't one for human contact but he had noticed how killua held her hand at times and was starting to understand why. As he pulled her away from a booty trap of a spiked pit, she HAD noticed and determinedly set off to see the mechanics.
It had been the third time.
Gittarackur/Illumi let out a small sigh before pulling her away and picking the girl up. Placing her on his shoulders. Being mindfully of his Nen pins, of course. Can't have his disguise broken before the right time.
Kyriak blinked in surprise her eyes wide as the male placed her on his shoulders. "Stay" was her only respond once she questioned him after snapping out of her surprise. She hummed, mind zoning out as sliver hues flickered about pointing out more trapped as the pair travelled.
It had been a few hours of descends before she voices out some questions.
"Your pins... to never responded what they were made out of?"
She got a hmm. No comment.
"Do you have family? Is that why you put me on your shoulders? Papa does this to me sometimes in busy placing, says I get distracted too easily. It's not my fault there are interested thing everywhere!" kyriak exclaimed, folding her arms while pouting slightly.
She got two grunts in respond. "I am not!" she defenced herself before a grin overtook her features, "Really? You have any siblings? I don't have many just me and papa"
She got another grunt and a clicking. "ooh" she blinked, tilting her head, "I think having you as a brother would be awesome! Anyone who gives piggy back rides must be a great older brother!" she declared, unfolding her arms and loosely hugging the man's head.
Gittarackur/Illumi, almost froze mid-step. Almost. Feeling the small arms from the chid hugging his head. At first, he thought she was trying to break his neck or even strangle him but it wasn't the case. He was very unsure at how to deal with the strange child so he continues to walk forward ignoring the child on his shoulder who continued to natter away about just about anything that came to mind.
She was growing on him, like a Mold that wouldn't leave.
Elsewhere in the tower trapped in a small room stood five people. Four where important to the story, one of them... a canon folder most people hated. The group of four listened as the smallest male explained what he had been told.
"So, your telling me that if we play a game with kyriak; we can't let her chose the game nor rules?" leorio repeated slowly. While gon nodded. "yup"
"Hmm, I'm not surprised" killua stated earning the groups attention.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, she told us she's from Meteor city. Doesn't care much about murder and has often said that she similar to me. So, it's not really surprising" killua shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.
"she's from Meteor city?" kurapika and leorio exclaimed in shook.
"what's Meteor city? I forgot to ask when it was mentioned last time"
"It's a bad place. A big trash peat that anything and everything gets throw two. Lots of dangerous people came from there, like the phantom troupe." killua nodded towards kurapika. "Mothers was born there. Most don't have records that life there, so the mafia takes a lot of people from there kind of like slaves. It's not a place your visit. Father told me to watch out for people from that city. Tells me that their dangerous emeries. But kyriak cool"
"Sure, you would say she cool" leorio commented, wiggling his eyebrows a small smirk on his face.
"What you talking about!" killua scowled folding his arms turning away from the older teen.
"ne ne~ what do you mean?" asked an innocent gon who looked between the pair.
Back to our adorable kyriak!
"Ahhh, looks like we have some decisions to make" kyriak stated from her perch. Before them was a slit in the path. One path had a signal doorway with the words. 'Two together, gives things the other doesn't have' written on a sliver plate. While the other pathway had two doorways with the words 'fall apart for things to fall together' written on the golden plate.
Kyriak looked at the two doors, head twisting back and for. "I don't understand" she said in defeat, before pointing to the individual door. "let's go that way. There only one door!" she grinned as the male grunted. "Eh?" she dropped a hand as she listened to the man grunt once again.
"oooh I get ya! One path we stay together the other we split?" she paused, "But didn't that guy say we had to work together and keep the other alive to get down the tower? Why would we split up then?"
Another grunt. "Ooh I see" kyriak muttered as Gittarackur/Illumi walked towards the signal door.
Two individuals together, provides things the other doesn't have – that the path my needs. Two heads being better that one. Much better that the divide and conquer of the other path.
If they had chosen the split path of the twins. They would face challenges that would have led them to fighting and either would have passed the trail of the twins.
The pair descended further into the tower the traps providing nothing buts child's play for the undercover assassin. However closer to the finish line, another deadlyobstacle awaitedtheirarrival.
