Kyriak looked at the items before her like there were pure gold. She glanced towards thorin turning back towards the items on the table.
"Is it?"
"yes"
"And there"
"yes"
"Really?"
"of course,"
"Can I?"
Thorin chuckled, "Go ahead" watching as the girl took the items off the table softly – skipping towards her own work coach placing them down and admiring them some more.
And I'm sure you're all wondering what are near heroine looking at. Allow me to explain.
After arriving back at their home and workshop – Thorin proceeded to present kyriak with her surprise. A large arrange of salts and crystals. Now you may think salts? Really but these salts are different from your normal table salt; for one you cannot eat them. Were compatible with Nen and were rare.
Kyriak held one of the items a small bag of salt – it seems to smoulder without smoke tinting an arrange of reds as she continued to watch. Fire salt.
Carefully she placed it down, picking up a clear crystal. She felt her skin prickle – like static shook her as the Crytal shifted. Though it was clear still – looking closer one could see little fecks of light shooting across it like lighting...
A sharp grin spread across her face as she continued to examine of the items, of various colours and properties.
Eyes glittering with excitement!
She turned towards a grinning thorin, "thank you papa!" she yelled, "so you know what this means!? I can improve my weapons and make so much more!" she took out her pad and pencils, mind already brewing up a storm.
"That why I gave it to you, I want you to improve your weapons before you head out again. I won't you to able to protect yourself against the wolves out there"
"You still haven't explained the wolf's thing papa!" she pouted at the man.
"You understand when you're older." he stated thought internally he was doubtful.
"Where did you get all this stuff from?!" she asked, having never been able to buy the items herself.
"Tricks of the trade little munchkin! Which I will tell you some hints, but you got to work out the rest yourself in be easier now considering you're a fully fletched hunter"
Kyriak nodded, turning back toward the items before twisting on the soles of her shoes launching towards Thorin's middle – making him take a step back with the force. The little girl wrapped (read attempted) her arms around the bigger male.
Thorin smiled softly at the girl, gently patting her head as he gave her a hug in return.
Kyriak was a blessing in his life – he would always be grateful for her entry into his life. He almost lost her once, he was determined to never lost her again. Its why he taught her Nen and fighting so young. He couldn't, wouldn't lose her again, even if it means letting her chill with the zoldycks...
Time skip
It had been a few weeks... or was in months? Since the younger girl had returned home. Got her treasures gifts and completed the hunter exam (don't that she need to completed the second hidden exam having already known Nen.
It was one of those times, our little kyriak was hidden away in the confinements of her workshop while thorin dealt with the customers and travellers passing though.
Thorin chatted to the pair that had just entered the smithy – he watched them with narrowed eye knowing the pair by face and reputation. If they started anything he would end them. His grip on his hammer tightens at the two men came towards him.
"We won't no trouble" the smaller of the pair stated, his hair in a high ponytail and a sword swapped to his hip.
"Unless you start it," the taller of the two grinned, the man was taller than thorin and had a wild grin on his face. Thorin noted the strength of the pair but it didn't scare him in the slightness – this was his territory anything happened here would be to his advantage.
"How can I help you laddies?" he questioned, glancing between the two.
"Can you look at my sword? I can a run in with a strong opponent and I need the verdict on it" the smaller stated, unstarting his sword holding it out for the smithy.
Thorin glanced at the covered blade, gently taking at unleashing it. A frown donning his face. He studied it, bringing the blade up to his eye as he critically analyses it. "You have two options," he started after giving it a little swing coming to his conclusion. "The blade it started to crack, it's now weakened at the point," he pointed to the tiny cracks starting to grow on the mid blade. "We can't protentional fix it, but it will forever by a weak point and potential break very easily in your next fight. The other option is retiring this blade at a Katanna, break it and reforge it as a Tanto or Aikuchi and make or get you a new katana."
The smaller of the man sighed, looking at the blade. Dark hues looking over the shiny metal in thought while his partner was looking about the workshop with boredom.
Suddenly there was a crackled, growing louder into what seemed like thousands of birds twittering away before BOOM.
A door on the other side for the door blow opened, a colour figured seemed to follow it as smoke bellowed into the room.
"Sorry about that..." thorin sighed, looking at the disaster. "You okay?" he called out.
Kyriak head snapped up, stars glittering in her eyes covered by her goggles – a happy grin growing on her soot covered face. "Papa! It worked, I finally out it covered!" the younger exclaimed, bouncing over to thorin completely ignoring the two others in the room.
"I'm proud of you munchkin" thorin patted the girls head as the goggles slipped around her neck, kyriak smile boarded, "you completed your challenged you can head off you those wolves if you want..."
"Oh, that's a pretty sword" kyriak blinked glancing toward the sword in thorin hand, "but it broken..."
An awkward cough caused kyriak to blink and looked towards the strangers. "you're a giant mister"
Thorin sighed, wanting to facepalm at the statement from his child... the giant of a man chuckled, looking down at the child that was smaller than the advantage 12 old. "and your tiny"
She pouted, "I'm not that tiny!"
"Yes, you are"
"Are not!"
"Are too"
"Are not"
"are too"
"Are not
"Are not"
"Are too!"
"Ha!" the taller man exclaimed grinning, while kyriak pout deepened having fallen into the man's trap.
She crossed her arms a smile threatening to pull at her lips, "hey mister wanna play a game?"
Thorin slapped a hand over the girl's head. "There customers. You can't play with them"
"But..."
"No buts, however" kyriak quirked up, "you can see about those following the pair. You can even test your new things on them"
The girls' eyes glinted dangerous as she turned skipping out of the room while humming a tune. As thorin turned back towards the pair, "I advise you won't play games with this one unless you're choosing the game. Kyriak game end a bit bloody and we won't want to get on your groups bad side."
"Tiny can fight?" the giant man question. "I'm going to watch"
