A Medieval Sonic Story: Chapter 6 - The Stakes Are Raised Again

The following week, a huge crowd was gathered in the marketplace of the Rose Kingdom. There were many citizens who were in disbelief at the actions of Queen Sabina. Her marriage to King Sebastian was a happy one, at least until recently.

At precisely 10 AM, a cart began traveling through the market, and the crowd split to either side of the lane. Being essentially pulled behind the cart was the white hedgehog queen, wearing only her undergarments. Vanilla had decided to stay in her quarters as she couldn't bear the sight of the queen's punishment, even though she could still hear it. Beside Cream stood Tails, holding her hand tightly. Amy was pressed against Sonic, her face buried in his chest. It was a painful thing to watch, but a punishment was necessary.

The white hedgehog screamed as her fur began turning pink around the whip strikes.

The guards did as instructed, with Queen Sabina glaring daggers at the king as she left. He came back into the castle and pulled Amy aside. "Whatever you do, please don't try what your mother tried. It was hard enough having to do that to her. I don't want to have to do that to you too."

Amy nods, glancing at Sonic and turning back to her father, mentally noting that Sonic stood an inch taller than he did. "Would you approve if I chose him?"

The red hedgehog chuckled. "I've known you've liked him for a while now. He's a hard worker and has high standing with our realm even though he's not nobility. You would have my approval, but it's an exception I'd only make for you."

Amy smiled. "Thank you. Now I just need to know he's ready."

Sebastian nods. "I think he'll tell you when he's ready. Go on, show him around."

The blue hedgehog followed the pink one, and the king looked at Tails and Cream. "If you're wondering, you may get married at any time. I know you two have been in love since you first met too."

The fox and rabbit bowed and thanked him, and all five resumed their duties the next day.

-One week later-

A lone figure enters the Neutral Lands, making straight for Sonic's workshop. The moon is full, and the figure stays in the shadows, trying to avoid detection. When she arrives, the lanterns are all out, but upon reaching the door, the figure knocks.

A deep voice answers. "Who is it?"

The visitor answers. "It's the princess."

The door opens and the figure goes in. Sonic frowns. "What's the meaning of-You?!"

The hood comes down, revealing the face of a pink hedgehog. "Yes, it's me. I came here to get some answers about us."

Sonic sat down on a chair. "What kind of answers?"

Amy sighed. "I've loved you since we first met, and that feeling only grew after the incident with my mother, but you have yet to show interest other than one kiss to spite her."

Sonic nodded. "I apologize, but this is a lot of work I've been doing. You can see it for yourself."

Amy nodded, her jade green eyes taking it all in. "I see that, but I need to know if I should turn my attention to another male."

Sonic stood up and walked over to her. Something inside him did not want that to happen. "I'm not that good with words, so here's my answer."

Amy's eyes shot wide open as Sonic crushed his lips on hers, and her pink fur bristled from that kiss. She took handfuls of the blue hedgehog's quills and returned the kiss, wrapping a leg around him. Sonic shivered and his heart started pounding as his tail started wagging.

The two hedgehogs' lips parted, a small trail of saliva slowly separating between them. Amy spoke first. "I am so glad I won that duel against Sally."

Sonic smiled. "Honestly, so am I."

Amy's jade eyes looked into Sonic's emerald eyes. "I want you Sonic, not just as my mate or my lover, but as my husband and the father of my children."

Sonic chuckled. "Well, I don't know how I'd do at being a father or a husband, but I can certainly help you with that first part if you want."

Amy nodded. "Yes I do. That's why I'm here. I want your charcoal and scorched metal smell all over me. I want every other male in a 100 mile radius to know who claimed me as his. I'm choosing you, Sonic."

He smiled again. "I choose you, Princess Amy Rose."

Amy nods. "We'll see how things go, but let's just say he and I are absolutely a couple now."

Cream smiles. "Finally. Come, let's get to our duties."

The hedgehog and rabbit leave the chamber, keeping the secret between them.
