20XX August 6th
Morning in Emerald Town, it's still as peaceful as yesterday, the Prower household has more guests than before after Tails befriended a couple of hedgehogs.
Inside the house, Nicole winces after being jabbed by a needle and was given some chemicals to suppress the illness.
"There. I'm surprised you're still full of hope." Isabella said as she placed the needle back in the suitcase.
"Of course! I know it's stressful trying to help me, but I can still have fun with my friend." Nicole cheerfully said.
Isabella is feeling sorry for Nicole, having no family and living with the NIDS.
How long has she been staying with the Prower family as well as Nicile?
"You can go now." Isabella lets Nicole go while walking out of the bedroom.
Afterwards, Nicole stands off her bed and walks out while she bumps into a pink furred hedgehog girl as both of them yelps.
"Ow… Oh no! I- I'm sorry!" Nicole quickly apologises until she falls face first to the floor, leading Amy to immediately lift Nicole up and put her glasses back on.
"Ah! Don't apologise! Also you need to stop worrying about little things." Amy said while helping Nicole stand, seeing as she finally encountered a lynx that has an incurable disease. "So you're Tails' friend. That's amazing. I didn't know you lived with him."
"Well, it's a long story." Nicole giggles while blushing.
"Ooh- ooh! Have you heard of the story of Sonic the Hedgehog!?" Amy asks while holding Nicole's hands.
"I did! When I heard that he's real, I didn't know how to react!" Nicole laughed.
"I know, right!? When we worked together, I knew this must be fate! Sonic and his girlfriend on an adventure to fight Dr. Eggman… I must be his girlfriend… Haah…" Amy sighs, dreaming about her and Sonic's future as lovers.
This had Nicole giggling and leaning closer to Amy.
"So is he really your boyfriend?" Nicole is curious to know Sonic and Amy's relationship.
"Oh I wish. I know we're best friends, but I want to be more than that! People keep saying we're too young to go out together, but I want to prove to him that his girlfriend is Amy Rose!" Amy raises her fist after being motivated throughout weeks of working with Sonic which made her more fixated on a speedy blue hedgehog like him.
"I mean there's nothing wrong with being friends." Nicole speaks out, which had Amy sigh and then turn towards Nicole herself before she continues. "We all need to start slowly and build up our relationship with each other. That's what Rosemary told me about the importance of relationships."
"Um… I don't get it." Amy is feeling a bit off with the way Nicole describes the relationships and how to start it.
"Start off or continue being best friends until you two fall in love. And that way, Mr. Sonic will see you as more than just friends. It's important for a boy and a girl to stay with each other." Nicole concludes.
"Oh. Well don't you worry, Nicole! I, Amy Rose, will show everyone that our bonds are stronger than anything combined!" Amy clenches her fist while determined to do what she wants.
"There's a saying I heard from one of the movies. Go get 'em, tiger."
Amy sticks out her tongue while doing a peace sign and then holds Nicole's hands again.
"It's great to have a girlfriend like you! Maybe we can have a girls' night out someday!"
Nicole stops, remembering that her condition of going outside is borderline impossible, making her think that maybe she should live life to the fullest.
"I would love to. We'll have a girls' night out together." Nicole accepts with a warm smile.
"Pinky promise?" Amy raises her pinky finger while promising a night out together.
"Pinky promise." Nicole accepts her promise while both pinky fingers are wrapped together.
Afterwards, Amy and Nicole are chatting while walking back to Nicole's bedroom.
Sitting on the windowsill in Tails' bedroom, the sun shines as the birds are flying past, Sonic is thinking about what Isabella said yesterday.

Eggman's hatred.
This made Sonic question himself, who's in the wrong?
Opening the door, Tails appears with a mouth mask on his chin and goggles on his forehead and an oversized apron while approaching Sonic.
"Hey, Sonic. How are you feeling?" Tails asked.
No response as Sonic stays quiet and watches the children playing around.
"I know it hurts. I didn't know either. But let me tell you this. When I was bullied, I never ran away except for the scissors part, but I know there's injustice in this world and I won't let those big bullies hurt anyone!" Tails said as it had Sonic's ears twitch up.
Tails then lowers his head.
"I bet you're the same. Fighting against the bullies while defending other kids. But we have more people helping us. I know Miss Isabella is different from the military you know but that's not important to you."
Sonic is speechless that Tails is the same as him, but different as if they're separate entities as half of a single kid.
"What I was saying is… I want to go on adventures with you! I wanna travel around the world and fight Dr. Eggman with you! I won't slow you down, I will keep up with you! Please let me go with you and Amy!"
Yesterday, Sonic and Amy let Tails join the trio, but this time he fully accepted his adventures with Sonic and Amy as the 3rd member of the team.
Then Sonic smiles.
"I guess you don't want me to join… Okay. I'll go no-" Stopping Tails, a hand taps his shoulder as Tails turns around, standing in front of Sonic. "Huh?"
"Tails. Haven't I told you yesterday? Let's go on adventures together. You, me and Amy. But if you want to keep up with me, then don't slow me down. Okay?" Sonic raises his hand with a confident smile.
"Okay." Tails nods with agreement, shaking Sonic's hand.
"Welcome to the club, little bro." Said Sonic.
"Yeah. Thanks, big bro." Tails has finally made close friends after Sonic and Amy's arrival.
In the end, Sonic and Tails' bond has formed after resonating with each other.
"So what's with the spraying? Got bug infestation?" Sonic assumed.
"Nope. Come check this out." Tails is leading Sonic outside, opening the door as both of them are under the sun.
To Sonic's surprise, he sees parts on the mat and a bunch of spray cans as the Polikarpov I-153 is being painted red and white and has the writing 'SONIC' on it.
"This plane is now fixed and stylised!" Tails reveals the plane's new look after it's being repurposed.
Sonic is speechless after seeing a mother and son working on fixing the biplane together.
"Oh? Morning, Sonic." Rosemary appears in similar goggles, mask and an apron in front of her dress. "Meet your new and improved plane. Miles and I had to adjust some of the controls to its simplicity in order for you to gain better control of it."
"So what do you think?" Tails asks with excitement while Sonic thinks about the plane itself.
As Sonic leaves and goes back inside the house, Tails and Rosemary look at each other with worry, thinking that Sonic is not liking its new design.
But that's not it.
Sonic appears back outside and then slaps the back wing of the plane as Tails and Rosemary exclaims.
The thing Sonic slaps on reveals to be a sticker of a fox tail stuck together as 2 tails, marking it as Tails' sign.
"Hm. Looks like our new Tornado is coming in handy." Sonic sticks up his thumb.
"Our? Tornado?" Tails is now confused with what Sonic said to him.
"Think about it. You can pilot this thing well, so I say it's yours to keep. As for the name Tornado, I saw your tails spinning like a helicopter, so a fitting name for you and my running speed."
"Tornado… I like it! Thanks, Sonic! I'll make sure to keep your plane as safe as possible!" Tails cheered while saluting.
"Heh. No problem." Sonic waves a salute back to Tails.
"It's amazing how well you boys are getting along. I wonder how Amy is doing?" Rosemary asked.
"Oh! She's with Nicole. I was going to introduce you to her." Said Tails.
"It's alright. I'll check it out myself." Sonic waves while leaving.
Finally, Rosemary picks up the parts and puts them in the bag as well as carrying the spray cans towards the garage, even Tails is assisting by putting more cans away as well as the tools.
Back inside the house, Sonic has caught his eye on Nicole who was sitting on a sofa and watching TV.
Sonic sits down as he looks at Nicole and smirks.
"Oh. So you're Mr. Sonic. It's nice to meet you, I'm Nicole, Miles' friend." Nicole formally introduces herself.
"Heh. That's one way to introduce yourself." Sonic chuckles while looking at Nicole.
"Sorry. I was just being nice."
"It's alright, I get that a lot." Sonic laughs.
To Nicole's surprise, Sonic is more casual than she makes it out to be as Nicole herself clears her throat.
"Anyway, is it true that Amy is your girlfriend?"
"Wha-!? Huh!?" Sonic exclaimed. "N- Now hold on, miss! Amy is just a friend! I mean I remember the time I had a crush on her before Eggman ruined everything! But still, we're friends and nothing else!" Sonic blushes while quickly answering to Nicole.
Nicole laughs which had Sonic look at Nicole and sighs while he chuckles.
"It's been a while since I saw Miles smiling. Thank you, Mr. Sonic." Nicole is showing gratitude after seeing Tails having a lot of fun earlier.
"Just call me Sonic. Also, it's okay."
After Sonic accepts Nicole's gratitude, Nicole herself hops off the sofa and pulls out a gaming console along with a few games.
"How about a game?"
"Virtua Fighters? Oh cool! I love this game!" Sonic is in joy after seeing Virtua Fighters that Tails and Nicole owned.
"Not just that. We can play Altered Beast and Golden Axe together." Nicole points out more games as Sonic picks up the control.
"You know, I remember playing Fighting Vipers and um… My sister has beaten me 5 times in a row. But this time, I'll beat you in Virtua Fighters!" Sonic grins as Nicole boots up the game by turning on the console and leaping next to Sonic on a sofa.
"Then I bet you've trained yourself to win against a champion like me!" Nicole is starting to get competitive as she pulls a sly grin.
"Hmph! I won't lose to you! You may be sick, but I won't go easy on you!" Sonic is feeling the same while widening his grin.
"Bring it on, Sonic!" Nicole and Sonic press the start button at the same time while preparing to play as their character to beat each other on.
Later.
Amy is seeing Sonic and Nicole button mashing as they're growling.
"Give it up, Nikki!" Sonic speaks out.
"No way! I am the champion! I will not be beaten by a loser!" Nicole argues while growling.
"Whatever you say, missy!"
As Sonic and Nicole yell at one another to win against each other, Amy sighs after knowing Sonic's old habits when facing his sister.
"Always hooked onto a fighting game and Nicole is one of them. You two really are desperate to win against each other." Amy sighs while leaning behind the sofa.
As the door opens, Sonic groans as Nicole cheers and then turns around towards Tails and Rosemary with excitement.
"Miles, you're back!"
"Yep. Man, I didn't know Sonic is this competitive like you." Tails laughed.
"Well, for someone who lost to his sister the most, he's actually pretty good. We can play again someday, Sonic." Nicole raises her hand as Sonic claps it.
"Sure thing. The next time we fight, I won't lose to you." Sonic said while shaking hands with Nicole.
"No promises." Nicole concludes.
Rosemary is glad to see a group of friends banter together as they laugh, making her sigh in relief.
Afterwards, Sonic and Amy turn towards Rosemary while sitting together with Tails and Nicole.
Rosemary sits in front of the children while dropping a tablet that belongs to G.U.N.
"Huh?"
"What's that?" Amy asks while pointing at a tablet.
"The military tablet. I was thinking about giving it to you guys." Rosemary answered.
"Really?"
"You're after Dr. Eggman, are you not? So the chances of stopping the Death Egg are unknown, but I'm not a Guardian Units of Nations member, so I have no idea." Rosemary admits, knowing that the kids are fighting against a megalomaniac of a scientist.
"So what you're saying is Eggman is at the location outside of Emerald Town?" Sonic asked.
Rosemary nods and puts down a doll as Sonic's friends and an egg as Eggman.
"He's around Aquatic Ruin and a Casino Night City, so whether the location he's at, the Death Egg is at Metropolis. To get there is to go all the way through these 2 locations and be careful of the Oil Ocean, this place preserves oil and any flammable item is dangerous. That's where Metropolis is." Rosemary reveals the location to where Metropolis is at and where the Death Egg is placed.
"So are you okay with Tails coming with us?" Amy asks.
Rosemary is looking at her own son, knowing he's willing to risk his life for the sake of his friends and family.
"Miles…"
"It's okay, mom. What I think of Dr. Eggman, he's all bark and no bite." Tails says while nodding.
Sonic snickers as he pats Tails' shoulder.
"He's right, Miss Prower. No matter how dangerous he is, Eggman's just another one of those bullies that needs to be dealt with." Sonic punches his own palm while agreeing with Tails joining him.
"That's right! With Sonic's speed and my trusty hammer, Tails can use his tails and his brains to help us. Please, let him come with us." Amy added while begging.
"I'll be right back when this is over." Tails nods to his mother while confident.
Nicole is surprised that Tails not only has kind and colourful friends, but his friends are determined to go out together and fight one man as a part of their adventures.
Closing her eyes, Rosemary is seeing why her son has started to gain courage after making more friends, leading to her to sit down on a chair and throw the keys to Sonic, surprising Sonic himself as he catches it as his friends are also surprised.
"Go. Stop the doctor from destroying earth. He needs to give up until he creates something that'll kill him." Rosemary concludes as her final decision is letting the kids go.
Sonic smirks as Amy and Tails are gasping with joy.
"Thanks, Miss Prower. Also we'll make sure Tails is safe." Sonic vows to protect his new friend.
"Exactly!" Amy agreed.
Tails nods and approaches his mother and holds her hands.
"I'll be back."
"Good luck, my little cub." Rosemary kisses Tails' forehead after rubbing his head and then lets him go.
Finally, Sonic, Tails and Amy are leaving the house as the trio are waving and then close the door.
"Miles… Miss Prower, what's going to happen if Miles doesn't come back?" Nicole asks with worry until she staggers, leading to Rosemary to catch her and let her sit up.
"It's okay. I believe in him. He has Sonic and Amy with him. Don't stress too much, Nicole." Rosemary whispers while comforting Nicole from her fear of losing her friends.
In Rosemary's case, the fairytale is true as Sonic looks to have some experience after fighting against Eggman for a while.
Outside, the Tornado starts to spin its blades as Amy sits behind Tails on the backseat whereas Sonic crawls on the wing of a plane while pulling up his thumb.
"Are you ready!?" Tails called while turning on the map and connected the tablet on the Tornado by showing the map to their destinations.
"All ready!" Amy confirms while sticking up her thumb.
"Ready anytime!" Sonic grins while bracing himself.
"Then lift off!" Tails pushes the leaver while the Tornado starts to take off as it finally moves forward, catching the townspeople's attention as they see a plane flying above them.
As for Hocke-Wulf, Bearanger and Carrottia, they witnessed Tails flying on the plane with the same boy who beat them up as well as a pink hedgehog, making the trio flabbergasted.
"H- How!?" Hocke-Wulf yelled.
"Tails has a plane, a boy who beat us and a girl, while we get a week detention. Phooey." Carrottia pouts out of misery as she slumps.
"Man. I hope I'll beat this blue rat the next time I see him." Bearanger growled.
"It's always about you and violence, Bearanger! Cut that out!" Carrottia snapped.
"I can't help it! I want that hedgehog beaten!"
Hocke-Wulf is growling like a mad wolf, intimidating both Carrottia and Bearanger as Carrottia herself approaches Hocke-Wulf.
"Tails…" Hocke-Wulf is now at the point of anger after being on the receiving end of being in trouble while Tails gets rewarded.
"Um… Hocke-Wulf?" Carrottia speaks out until Bearanger stops her from going near an angry wolf boy.
"TAILS!" Hocke-Wulf howls as rage fumes out of him.
After that, the trio are gone, leaving Emerald Town while heading towards either the Aquatic Ruin or the Casino Night City.
As the adventure continues, Sonic, Tails and Amy are about to challenge themselves against Eggman's stronger robots.
