Tsukune sat in his office with two women. One was rather tall, had long blonde hair, and a timeless appearance. The other was short, dark headed, and seemed to be annoyed to be in the presence of the male occupant of the room. One was the original witch, and the previous head of an order that was made up of witches similar to her and Utsuki. The other was Tsukune's sister in law.
All three were at that moment looking at the dirty and unhealthy looking girl that had appeared there. The girl was simply looking around confused, a half drunk pack of blood still in her mouth. She really had no clue what was happening, and just looked down at the envelope with the weird writing on it that she had been handed a moment before she appeared there.
The girl could only take the blood pack from her mouth and ask, "Uh, dis isn't Bangor, is it?"
The blonde woman looked over at Tsukune, "I think she is Irish."
"Yes Madonna, I do believe you are right," Tsukune nodded.
The short dark haired woman looked at him, "You think he sent her?"
"I really don't have much doubt Akua," he replied.
The room became very silent. The girl hadn't understood what was said, the difference between Japanese and English leaving her out of the loop. Tsukune was starting to wonder what his son was doing, but was glad that this time the woman that arrived like this was, well to a degree anyway, wearing clothes.
Tsukune switched languages and addressed the girl, "Miss, let me guess. You were in some variety of trouble. You met a very attractive and powerful guy. He saved you. Then he suddenly sent you here. Do I have that right, and what is your name?"
"Uh, is mise Maggie Clark, an' dat is way too accurate. 'Oy ye nu al' av dat withoyt me sayin' anythin'," she blinked in surprise, and then took another drink of blood.
"I take it that you are a vampire, and, are you from Bangor, Maine, or Bangor, Northern Ireland," was his next words.
"Norn Iron. Oi guess de blud gave de vampire part away," she mumbled as she finished off the blood, and took an unsatisfied look on her face regarding the aluminum and plastic package.
"Can I see that letter," Tsukune asked, and the girl handed it to him.
Opening it he recognized his son's somewhat messy writing.
"Give her blood for the love of God. She drank eight pints in the twenty minutes since I gave her the first one.
Other than that, Fairy Tale offed her parents about a year ago. They were working for, but weren't part of, kinda like the chick I sent your way a few days ago. Apparently the stress of being on the street and mostly starved, and then the whole shock to the system I have become for vampires, turned her into a straight up perv, that kept trying to offer herself to me to apologize for trying to mug me. I can't take this kind of thing, I have enough women as it is, and I don't want more.
I'm not trying to build up a collection, I don't want to do this, but I seem to have a compulsion. They are like lost puppies, and I don't have any power to resist. Anyways, give the second letter to 'Suki for me, and don't look at it. At any cost.
Love, Tekeshi"
Tsukune looked at the letter again, and then the second envelope that was in with it. This kind of disorganized thought was without a doubt his son. He also was comparing teenage girls and grown women, to puppies. What did Utsuki see in him again? At least he wasn't a, well two did still count as polygamy, but if they shared a soul, did that? It was an interesting question for another time.
"So, Miss Clark, you are an orphan," he turned to the girl again.
She let her eyes drop to the floor next to her, "Yeah, scon are. Oi 'av been for a year nigh."
Akua looked at the girl, and something seemed to stir behind her eyes.
"You, tried to attack my son," Tsukune found that part a little weird.
"Oi wus starval, an' oi still scon. Yer man looked loike an easy mark, an' oi wus polite, den oi realized oi wus committin' suicide," she replied, giving the empty blood pack another glance.
Akua was definitely feeling something. She wasn't quite sure what it was, and she played with the brake of the wheelchair she occupied as she tried to understand what it was.
"You, wanted to let him, have his way with you as an apology? Miss Clark, you never had a chance with that one. Madonna, would you please stick your head out and have Galdia acquire a large, make that a very large, amount of blood. Also, it might not be a bad idea to have Mother Anne come and help translate some of the deeper parts. Not that I don't trust you, but I know how much you dislike some of the stronger bits of Irish," he looked over at the witch.
"I can do the blood, but nobody knows where Anne is right now. Tomoe has been looking for her as well. She, doesn't really appreciate her new role yet," the woman said as she stood and went to the door.
"Yer man is our Bejasus, de call for our bein', an' oi 'av nathin' else. Me body is al' dat oi can gie, an' me chastity is worth less than me life," the girl said.
Tsukune sat back in his chair. It may have been his close relation to Tekeshi, but he didn't have the desire to worship him. Nor did any other member of their blood related family. The family maids though, and their butler, had thought that there was no one more important in the short time they had seen him in the aftermath of the battle.
They acted almost like this, though without the sexual component of it. He wondered just how far it went, and if there was anyway that his son might be able to hide it.
Akua tended to only like her sisters, her father, and her nephew. Something about this girl though, she couldn't explain it. What was going through her mind, she didn't know why she was about to do this.
"Girl, you don't have any other family? None at all," she asked.
"None. Oi 'eard stories dat dare were big groups av vampires else wha. we jist didn't 'av dat on Eire," Maggie said, not looking over at the older woman.
"Akua? What are you thinking, and am I about to have a heart attack out of shock," Tsukune looked.
"Am I thinking about taking her in? Yes. What is such a shock about that," the woman asked.
"You only like my wife? You adore my son? You easily tolerate the rest of your family? Any of that sound familiar," he said as the door opened to admit Madonna and Moka, who was pushing a cart with a confused look on her face.
"Why did Galdia call me and say that you wanted a small household's worth of blood," Moka asked her husband, not having noticed the girl sitting in the floor.
"Uh, quite possibly your oldest sister's first child," he said, not sure how to read the situation.
Moka looked at Akua, and then looked down. She met eyes with the girl, and then just stared for a few moments taking in her condition. Almost absently Moka handed her a blood pack, and the girl simply smiled bigger than her face seemed to be able to handle, and went to town drinking it.
"Do I even need to ask," she looked back over at Tsukune.
"Apparently your son is starting a collection of lost puppies," he replied.
"Puppies?"
"Puppies."
"She is a vampire."
"This is true."
"Why is she being called an immature dog?"
"Because we let him live in America, with Yukari, and never considered how that may warp his personality. She also tried to mug him, and then sleep with him as an apology apparently. He did turn her down."
Moka looked at her husband with her head cocked over at an angle, "Why wouldn't he? He has 'Suki and Kari, what other girl would he need in his life? Now, why do you say she might be my new niece?"
Akua spoke up at this, "Because she is an orphan, and I like her for some reason. Can't I just be nice to someone other than you or Tekeshi for once in my life without everyone thinking that I am losing my mind."
Moka looked over, "Akua, you steal my underwear still. How are we not supposed to be shocked at this? You, aren't starting, to like, them, young? Are you?"
Akua looked at her sister with a blank expression, while the subject matter seemed oblivious to everything except the cart of blood, "That was uncalled for. I, can't lie about the underwear. It is really nice underwear. I am not interested in her that way though."
"I know it is nice underwear. It costs a small fortune to have made in France. I know exactly how nice it is, and I am tired of having to replace it. It is really cutting into my saki and weird stuff budget," Moka fixed her sister with a glance, somewhat forgetting about the girl in the moment.
Tsukune pinched the bridge of his nose, "Moka, should I even ask, what a saki and weird stuff budget is? You know what, I'm better off not knowing. As far as the girl, why, and are you sure about this?"
Akua looked down at her legs, momentarily cursing the condition that now confined her to it, "Tuskune, I haven't been a great person all of my life. You know that first hand. Right now, I am seeing someone who is in a place I was at one point, and I may be able to help her. So, yes, I am really damn sure about what I am doing."
"Akua," Tsukune started, but he found himself unable to continue.
"I don't know how many years I have left. I want to do something positive with it, and now I have a chance. I know this is a bit of an impulsive decision, but damn it, I am dying, and I want to do this," the expression the almost childlike woman had on her face was a little amusing, but her words distracted from that.
Moka and Tsukune looked at each other. Akua had told Tsukune about her condition during a lull in the battle against Fairy Tale months ago. When Moka had found out, she hadn't talked to either of them for a week, not happy that she hadn't been told immediately. She had been a little more caring toward Akua when they were together, but she didn't know how to deal with this specific situation, knowing how bad the woman's physical condition was going to become.
"Uh, young lady, how old are you," Moka asked.
Maggie was at that moment busy trying to get a stuck blood pack off one of her fangs, "Ah, uh, fourteen."
Tsukune looked between Akua and Maggie. He had no clue how this was going to go, but he suddenly felt a somewhat morbid desire to see how this would play out. He also suddenly remembered that the whole reason she hadn't just said that she was taking the girl in, was he did have to approve it. He was the head of the Shuzen Clan after all. The only thing that he had to worry about, was his sex life.
"Alright, you have my blessing. Just make sure that you start doing what you have to legally, well, never mind that is on my end. I will have Ruby deal with that as soon as possible. You, however, will be responsible for her welfare, so you should start by making sure she gets some decent clothes, and some solid food before she bloats. After you have her settled you are responsible for making sure that her education is taken care of, and that she attends Madonna's... I am completely sorry for forgetting you were still here," he suddenly notice the woman reading a magazine off to the side, who simply made a dismissive gesture, "Anyways, make sure she is instructed in Japanese. Other than that, I guess Miss Clark, you are soon to be Maggie Shuzen, unless you have any objections."
"Wait, she 'as ter feed me? Grub? Tell me a gran' call not ter say aye," the girl said, considering whether she was really full, or could go a twenty second pint.
Utsuki looked at the letter in her hand. Her breath was fast, and her face a little flushed. She had not had any kind of contact from Tekeshi since she had woke up, and this was almost orgasmic in and of itself for her. It was the one thing that she had wanted more than anything, as had Karasu, who was now hanging over her shoulder.
"Open it, what is taking you so long," the Nephilim was gripped onto her shoulder, bouncing on her toes.
"Fine, you have no patience," Utsuki said, as she broke the seal.
"Hey 'Suki. I know that I should have tried to contact you, but I didn't know if I would be able to keep doing what I am now if I saw your face, or I heard your voice. I know you won't understand, and I don't know if I fully do right now, but it is important that I do this.
At one point, I had a goal to simply wipe out Fairy Tale. To engage in a de facto genocide of everyone who followed them. I don't know how long that would have kept me away. Now though, there has been a change.
I am looking for something they found. They have some idea of what it is for, but they don't have a real understanding of what it is. It was something created by Shinso, for a purpose that would offend any god. It can steal a soul away from them, and return it to its body.
I don't want my old man to know. I don't want to give him false hope, and I don't want you to let Asusa know either, for the same reason. I needed to tell someone though, and I know that you two, hi Deess, I know you are reading this over her shoulder, or on her shoulder if you are a bird right now, can keep this a secret as long as you need to.
There is another reason I don't want my parents to know. I think, as did he, that it could be used to somehow give a body, to those without. I might be able to return my grandmother to our world proper. I know how much that would mean to my parents.
I know that you really want to keep this letter, given that it is from me. That is why I hate having to ask you to burn it. I can't take the chance that my mother gets too itchy about what may be in it. You know how she gets when it involves our love life. I, really wish she would get over it. So, we may want to consider children as soon as possible, just to distract her.
I can't wait to see you, and taste your lips again.
Love, Tekeshi.
P.S.: Uh, please don't desire any injury on me for all of the lost puppies I am picking up. I don't know why it is happening, and I just can't help it. I will try to resist, but I can't make any promises."
Karasu read the last part, and then looked over at Utsuki, and noticed that her eye was twitching. This might pose some issues. Personally, Karasu wasn't that hung up on fidelity, but then again she had originally been a true demon, and more hedonistic than a succubus. Utsuki wasn't like that.
"Sis, you already know he isn't banging any of them. You don't have to let your anger out. Remember what Mom, and Mother, have said. Just breathe, and then go find a big ass rock, and smack the living hell out of it," she moved one of her hand to her sister's other shoulder and began to massage them.
"I'm not angry. I am jealous. Jealousy, is not anger. Unchecked jealousy, becomes anger. Now, why wouldn't I be jealous of all these whores getting to see more of him, than I have in over six months," the tone in Utsuki's voice scared Karasu, seriously.
